Here’s what BetterYou has to say: “BetterYou is an innovative natural health company specialising in the supplementation of the growing number of key nutrients lost through our dramatically changing diet and lifestyle. Our products stand alone in the marketplace by their unique levels of quality and effectiveness.

BetterYou specialises in the supplementation of those nutrients that have become underrepresented or simply omitted due to our modern diet and lifestyles. Each and every product is developed and formulated to overcome absorption challenges typically presented by traditional delivery methods.

In response to the growing concerns around plastic production and recycling, BetterYou has spent the last 2 years developing a range of recycled and carbon-negative packaging solutions that enables us to drastically reduce our impact on the environment. @MamaMoonbeam

I have really enjoyed using the Conception Supplement spray. It's great for those who struggle to take those big prenatal vitamins and it tastes amazing too! Just 4 squirts and your daily dose is done! One little bottle will last a whole month. I would wholeheartedly recommend and would love to know when they go on sale because I will definitely be investing in more! :-)
And now I've got my BFP, so thank you for being such an easy to use product! Grin
cannotmakemymindup · 15/11/2020 21:39

We were trying the hair, skin & nails and the childrens spray. We liked the look of the products, packaging and information. Although I did think that the two bottles colours were a little to close in colouring so found that a confusing somewhat a couple of times.

My daughter and I both enjoyed the flavours of our sprays.

I am hopeful it has a better absorbation rate than normal tablets. I struggle to take tablets and have to take them with food so this was great. My 6 year old daughter thoroughly enjoyed the spray. She thinks it's quite exciting to take.

I think I would possibly switch to a couple other products in the range as I am unsure whether it's had any affect on my hair, skin or nails yet, but I think I need longer to be able to tell.

I imagine in pregnancy these would have been absolutely brilliant as I had to stop taking my multivitamins due to the sickness for quite awhile. I am definitely considering other products from Better You range as I absorb iron terribly but as I am Sickle Cell carrier then it's really quite necessary for me as I am often anaemic . Also the vitamin D spray to as being mixed race means most winters even with supplementation I still get low.

 1. Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts?
I tested hair skin and nails and children’s health. I really like the format of the vitamin spray which is especially great for my one year old - top young for gummy vitamins and refuses liquids. However I had assumed it was a complete multivitamin and I was surprised when it wasn’t. I think iron would be a particularly valuable addition to the kids one as it’s one that’s low in lots of foods that fussy toddlers like so easy to worry about.
 1. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried? Pleasant and my child also likes it.
 2. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past? For me, I normally use tablets and honestly the spray is not a significant advantage or disadvantage although it could be for someone who struggles to swallow them. For my child it was a massive advantage over gummies which are unsafe at her age and liquids which she doesn’t like.
 3. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing? For me - no, the best solution is the multi vit in the tablet. I’m vegan ish, breastfeeding, long distance running... I need to be sure I’m getting all my nutrients. For my one year old / definitely. It’s an absolute godsend to give me some reassurance she’s getting some more vitamins in.

 1. Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts?
Conception. I thought the packaging looked interesting and it seemed to be a quality product. Although there was not a list of vitamins on the bottle which was a little off putting. I would prefer a peel and read label with all of the nutritional information.
 1. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried?
The flavour was really fruity and it was much better than I thought it would be. No aftertaste.
 1. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past?
Much easier that taking a handful of different vitamins in tablet form, although I found 4 sprays too much at once time and I felt like I had a mouth full of liquid. I preferred to spread it out (2 sprays in the morning, 2 sprays at night).
 1. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing?
I will use up the remainder of the bottle. If I see this product at a suitable price, I will purchase again.
Freshcoatofpaint · 16/11/2020 11:46

1. Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts?
The Children's Health and Hair, Skin and Nails. I liked the packaging for both. Love the concept of a spray rather than tablets, they're quicker and more convenient. I normal take a multi vitamin but it was great to have one with nutrients for hair, skin and nails as mine aren't always in great condition so this feels like an easy way to help address the problem.
I did notice that once you recycle the cardboard sleeve it doesn't have the % rda breakdown on the side of the bottles, which I think would be better.

2. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried?
My children loved the children's one so top marks there.
I found the hair, skin and nails one too sweet for my taste. It wouldn't stop me using the spray, I'd just prefer it less sweet.

3. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past?
So much more convenient - no making sure I have a drink handy. I was also interested to read in the leaflet about the better absorbtion of the sprays over tablets, makes sense to me.

4. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing?
I will definitely keep using the hair, skin and nails one as most of the ingredients are not in my usual daily vitamin.
The children's one it will be depend on the price. We definitely liked them, and normally buy a good quality daily vitamin (which aren't cheap), so provided they're not more expensive than our current one then yes we would.

Thank you for the trial.

Vickij59 · 16/11/2020 14:24

1.I have been testing the conception spray, I do think this is a good idea especially for people that can’t swallow tablets and let’s face it the vitamins we need to take are quite large. The design is nice but I am dubious of what vitamins are in this and if 4 sprays is enough (this could be all in my head…you swallow a tablet for anything and it seems to do the trick so maybe that’s why I am questioning a spray.)

2.The taste was ok took a bit of getting used to and I found it a little over powering at times.

3.I think I prefer tablets even with the massive size of them as I know they provide the right vitamins and they get absorbed (like I say this maybe in my head that I feel spraying in my mouth won’t help?!)

4.I don’t know because of my doubts but I would tell people about this especially if they struggle with taking tablets also a lot would depend on the cost.

BangingOn · 16/11/2020 17:06
 1. Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts?
Children’s Health and Hair, Skin and Nails. I already use your Vitamin D spray and thought these variants had similar packaging, which is fresh and looks good
 1. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried?
Unfortunately my son didn’t like the Children’s Health spray and refused to take it daily. I found both variants quite sweet and cloying, I prefer the flavour of the Vitamin D The Hair, Skin and Nails seemed very feminine in both the packaging colours and the flavour, whereas I prefer fresher and less sweet flavours
 1. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past?
Overall, as good as the variant D variant except for the flavour
 1. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing?
I will continue to use the Hair, Skin and Nails to see whether there is a noticeable difference after a months of use. The testing period is too short to comment on whether there is a positive effect on the condition of my hair, skin or nails.
HDready · 16/11/2020 17:29
 1. Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts?

Conception. I thought the packaging looked good and I was pleased to see that it was recyclable.

 1. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried?

I thought it was over sweet, and then the metallic iron taste lingered - although I appreciate that the second point is not solely an issue with this product.

 1. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past?

I thought it was good, particularly for those who don’t like swallowing tablets.

 1. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing?

Unsure. I will use until it runs out, but I would want to be satisfied that the RDA was sufficient before purchasing.

BadgerFace · 16/11/2020 18:19
 1. Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts?
Children’s and Healthy Skin & Nails Good packaging, reminded me of This Works. Easy to use.
 1. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried?
I didn’t like the mango one, a bit too sweet for me. The children liked theirs.
 1. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past?
Interesting! Easier than taking tablets. The kids liked it but they also like their chewable vitamins.
 1. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing?
Until the sprays run out but I’m not sure if I would buy them. It depends on the price point for the children’s.
N311y · 16/11/2020 19:14
 1. Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts?
The conception spray. I loved the idea of not having swallow tablets.
 1. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried?
The taste wasn’t unpleasant but I wasn’t a massive fan of it either.
 1. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past?
I found the spray much easier to take then tablets.
 1. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing?
I’ve just found out I’m pregnant so I would definitely want to try the pregnancy one!
poojij4 · 16/11/2020 20:53
 1. Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts? Conception spray, it is very convinient.
 2. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried? Pleasent
 3. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past? I used to take the supplements in tablet form which was not as pleasent as the spary.
 4. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing? Yes, I do.
flic88 · 16/11/2020 22:46
 1. Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts?
Contraception
 1. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried?
Love the flavour, leaves a nice taste
 1. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past?
No easier than taking a pill, also can never be certain I am getting the correct dosage as don't trust sprays fully
 1. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing?
I will now switch to a pill as just found out I am expecting, i want to make sure I am getting the correct dose rather than trusting the spray which doesn't always spray properly. I would use the general everyday spray when certain vitamins aren't as important
SuzCG · 17/11/2020 12:56

I got to try the Hair, Skin & Nails and my 2 children (14 & 11) tested the Children's Health - initial impressions on opening were they both looked nice. Well packaged - high end product.

Didn't mind the flavour of mine too much, maybe a little sweet for me, but not unpleasant. Kids say they've tasted worse in tablet supplements we've tried over the years but it wasn't the nicest they've had either.

My biggest concern when comparing them to the traditional tablets we take is the content/% of RDA. These sprays do seem on the low side?

But we will definitely continue with them for now, until they run out - as I don't feel we've been taking them for long enough at present to really see results - particularly mine.

DressingGownofDoom · 17/11/2020 23:14
@DressingGownofDoom Wow, congratulations! How long had you been trying for?
Thank you! Since I had my son 3 years ago, I conceived a few times and had a few miscarriages. Haven’t managed to conceive again since my last miscarriage in April 2019.

Puddlelane123 · 18/11/2020 05:28
 1. Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts?

Pregnancy. I am currently suffering from hyperemesis so thought this would be good mode of getting vitamins into me (and keeping them down).

 1. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried?

Sounded great in theory as a nice minty fresh taste, but in practice I really disliked it and would have preferred something more neutral. I disliked the aftertaste too. Perhaps women with more normal levels of sickness might find it more palatable.

 1. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past?

Much easier to keep down during bouts of repeated vomiting.

 1. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing?

I think I will, although like others I am slightly dubious about the amount of vitamins getting into my system with this level of delivery. But still more than I would be getting in pill form (as I am vomiting lots) so a bonus in that regard.

unicorntearss · 18/11/2020 09:38

1.Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts?

I was provided with the conception spray to test. On intial thoughts I thought the product looked really good and would be a great alternative to tablets

 1. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried?

It tasted like blackcurrent, it was rather nice. However the after taste was a bit odd, after about 5 minutes I could taste iron, it didn’t last too long though and didn’t put me off the product

 1. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past?

Excellent, the spray is much better than taking tablets. It’s easier and portable, no need to find a drink. Just spray and go

 1. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing?

Yes 👍🏻 once it’s runs out I will be purchasing some more without a doubt

WildForTheNight · 18/11/2020 10:28

1. Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts?

Conception spray. The leaflet looks very nice- sort of like a spa brochure! I thought the bottle would be far too small to contain the required amount of spray but have been proved wrong. Information regarding the contents of the spray on the bottle would be useful as would guidance about taking it with/after/before food or drink to help with the aftertaste.

2. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried?

I liked the fruity flavour but the iron aftertaste is very strong. It's very similar to liquid iron supplements.

3. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past?

I much prefer it to taking a tablet. I find it easier to remember to take and it hasn't impacted the length of my cycle like previous supplements have.

4. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing?

Price dependent. I like the ethos of the company and I like the ease of using the spray but I'd imagine this would retail out of my price range.

BadlyWrittenPoem · 18/11/2020 16:57
 1. Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts?
Children’s and Hair/Skin/Nails. It seemed pretty straightforward and a good idea.
 1. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried?
It’s not a flavour I love but in contrast with typical supplements it’s amazing. My daughter hasn’t objected to hers which is a resounding endorsement.
 1. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past?
Brilliant. I find it so much easier than swallowing giant multivitamins and for my four year old it is amazing as she wouldn’t take liquid vitamins and is very reluctant with the chewable tablets.
 1. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing?
I’m not sure about mine as I haven’t seen any improvement in my skin but the time saving in giving it to my daughter is enough to make it a definite yes from me.
AnneShirleysNewDress · 18/11/2020 20:43
 1. I tested the hair, skin and nails spray and my DD’s tested the childrens spray. I liked the packaging and the spray really easy to use.
 1. The hair, skin and nails spray has a pleasant fruity taste. The DD’s both liked the taste of their spray and the youngest said it tasted like summer.
 1. I loved the spray and found it much more convenient.
 1. I’d be happy to continue using and have already bought the vitamin D spray from the same range.
WhenDoISleep · 19/11/2020 10:59

1. Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts?

Children's Health & Hair, Skin and Nails. The sprays are a useful size and the packaging is attractive.

2. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried?

The DC like the flavour of the children's spray. The Hair, Skin and Nails spray was too fruity for my liking but I don't like the taste of mango and find artificial peach flavours horrible. That said, it wouldn't completely put me off the product in future.

3. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past?

Easy to use, particularly for children. I do wonder how effective they are though compared to more traditional delivery methods.

4. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing?

We will continue to use the products we were testing and I might buy the children's one for my younger DC in future.

MustBeDueSomeBetterFeet · 19/11/2020 16:52
 1. Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts?

I tested Hair, Skin and Nails. My children tested Children's Health.

 1. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried?

Awful! My children had a few sprays of this but wouldn't have any more. I didn't think it was worth continuing with Hair, Skin and Nails for the taste either. I think it's supposed to be a natural raspberry flavour but tasted extremely unnatural. We use BetterYou sprays every day for general health and the usual taste is much better, more of a slight mintyness.

 1. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past?

I much prefer it. Much more convenient to my mind in general. With regards to those I tested, I didn't like the fact that you had to have so many sprays to reach the appropriate daily amount. The standard BetterYou sprays are much better for feeling you've quickly done the job. I don't have time in the day to remember 4 sprays for me or my children!

 1. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing?

Definitely not. I wasn't sure who Madeleine Shaw was or if I was supposed to be interested in her back story but I didn't feel it was an addition to the range. Also, the children's health bottle (maybe just because it was a tester) was too big for my children to use (age 5 and 7). They couldn't put any power into the bottle, and it's much easier for them to be able to do this themselves.

Trinidading3 · 19/11/2020 17:25
 1. Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts?
I tested the Skin Hair and Nails and Kids Multivitamins which I thought was great packaging, ingredients and brilliant idea that it can be sprayed so no dropped tablets or holding of nose/ or counting to 123 in order to swallow.
 1. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried?
Really sorry but I thought it tasted horrible and it lingered for a while after the sprays.
 1. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past?
Great idea but the flavour needs tweaking I think. My 8 year old loved the spray format and was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to take Vitamin.Grin
 1. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing?
Yes I will use until finished thank you.Flowers
Quailpoop · 19/11/2020 20:41
 1. Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts?
Pregnancy. I really liked the idea although found it incredibly tickly spraying it in my cheek.
 1. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried?
I wasn't that keen on the minty flavour due to the aftertaste, but the initial taste was fine, so it was good as long as i had a drink after.
 1. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past?
I don't suffer nausea so don't have a problem with pills which tend to have more vitamin included but i think it would be great for someone who did suffer from nausea and it also meant i took it everyday as i was able to take it without water so just had it next to my bed so it was easy to remember, even though i preferred to have a drink afterwards.
 1. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing?
Yes, i will continue to use it for the remainder of my pregnancy.
PointyMcguire · 20/11/2020 08:07
 1. Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts?

I tried the Conception spray. I liked the spray format as it seemed quick and easy to take on the go. I found the spray a bit fiddly the first few times as I think I was spraying it too close to my cheek, but soon got the hang of it.

 1. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried?

The pomegranate and raspberry was pleasant but quite strong and a tad synthetic tasting. It was a bit like spraying a fruit syrup into your mouth. I’d have preferred something a little lighter.

 1. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past?

So so much easier than other forms. I’m forever forgetting to take tablets but I think because you can just spray and go it’s easier to get into the habit of remembering to take it. I was a bit worried I wasn’t always getting the correct dose though due to the aforementioned issues with spraying the product sometimes.

 1. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing?

I will absolutely continue using the current spray and will most likely consider repurchasing in the future, although I would prefer if there was a recyclable option with less packaging.

HappyPotato · 20/11/2020 12:30
 1. Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts?
Conception, initially I thought that there was too much packaging for what was inside.
 1. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried?
It wasn't too bad but did distinctly taste of iron.
 1. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past?
It was different, I feel like just taking a vitamin pill would be easier than having to use 4 sprays but I do think the spray would be better for children.
 1. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing?
I will use the rest of the bottle but probably wouldn't purchase again.
