  1. Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts?

I tested the pregnancy one. My initial thoughts were I like the packaging. It was profession and sleek. I did expect there to be an insert with additional information. The brand and concept was new to me so I felt like I needed reassurance the spray was safe and the vitamins were going to be the best for my baby and me. The tube was easy to use and easy to pack and transport around.

I found 4 sprays onto the cheek too many in one go. I’d need to split the dose over two sprays twice a day to do it like that. I found it I sprayed it under my tongue I could manage the 4 in one go making it simpler and less to remember in a day. Could this be an alternative? The spray in my cheeks reminded me of when your mouth waters before you’re sick so in the middle of morning sickness I wouldn’t have coped with this method.

  1. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried?

I liked the flavour of the mint. I was expecting a fresher flavour rather than the sweet mint. I think it was a good flavour choice for the pregnancy spray as I would have struggled during my morning sickness. I received the spray in my 3rd trimester. I don’t like ginger so mint is my preferred anti nausea flavour.

  1. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past?

I like the ease of the spray and it’s less clutter to have on the side than foil packets of tablets. I don’t have a problems swallowing tablets, I can imagine the spray would work well for someone who struggles with the massive supplement tablets.

  1. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing?

I plan to continue using the spray until it runs out and I’d be interested in the brand when it launches.

1 I tested the conception spray. I like the idea of a spray as an easier to stomach way of getting vitamins than the giant tablets you get!
  1. I was pleasantly surprised by the flavour - fresh and fruity, I didn’t experience the metallic taste that some others did, it reminded me a little of those retro fruit salad sweets!
  2. I think it’s a great concept - nice and easy and actually pleasant, I would definitely prefer this over tablet form vitamins,
  3. Yes I will definitely continue using the spray, if the price was right I would definitely buy it too.

  1. Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts?

I tested Skin, Hair and Nails. My DS tested the Children's Health.

The packaging made this look like a premium product, but there was a lot of wasted space - a large box for a small tube. I’m not a fan of excess packaging.

There’s not a lot of product information on the actual product. Once you’ve disposed of the box you don’t know which vitamins you’re actually taking.

Colour schemes weren’t logical. Children’s spray is raspberry flavoured but orange packaging. Hair, skin and nails is mango flavoured but pinky red packaging.

  1. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried?

The Skin, Hair and Nails one was tasty, but with a slight artificial after taste.

DS really disliked the children’s vitamins (but he’s a fussy one).

  1. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past?

Loved the vitamin D content in the children’s spray. Would love if vitamin D was included in the hair, skin and nails.

Spray was easy to take, and even though DS didn’t like it, he made less of a fuss than he would with tablets or other vitamins.

  1. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing?

Would definitely continue the children’s if the price point was competitive. Probably not the hair, skin and nails as it isn’t really a multivitamin.

Thank you for letting us take part in this product test.

QueenMaryIII · 11/11/2020 17:16

We tried the Hair, Skin & Nails & the Children' Health Sprays. We initially liked the packaging, clear instructions - it's easy to use & keep clean.

We both liked the pleasant fruity flavours, my son is fussy so I was pleased he liked it. It was far nicer than bland bulky tablets, which I usually have to nag him to take.

We both hate taking tablets, taking vitamins had become more of a chore for us, so this was a great alternative option & something we do together as Mum & Son which is great & we quickly & easily incorporated it into our morning routine.

I will be definitely be purchasing these products for us, as it's more convenient & better than taking tablets, I didn't even know there were spray vitamins available - thank you Better You.

  1. Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts?

I tested the oral conception spray. Initially I thought it was interesting and I found it much easier than remembering to take 2 tablets every day.

  1. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried?

It was ok. A little bit too tangy but as it's just 4 sprays it's ok. It wouldn't stop me buying the product but I wouldn't buy the product for the taste.

  1. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past?

I would say it was so much easier to take than tablets. Other conception tablets I have tried in past were really big and sometimes got stuck in my throat. Also taken on a empty tummy tablets can make me sick. I had no problems at all with the spray so I did think it was better. Plus I remember to take it at night and don't need to constantly remember to take a glass of water to bed. I much prefer the spray.

  1. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing?

Definitely! I will keep using it until it runs out and hope it works (❤)

FizzySmiles · 11/11/2020 18:52
  1. Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts?
Hair and nails and childrens health. My nitial thoughts on receiving this product - well presented, great back story in the book and look like a high end/top quality product.
  1. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried?
  1. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past? Yes! My children themselves gave me feedback on this and loved that it was a spray. They have requested they now always have a vitamin spray. For myself its quicker and less likely to forget although the sensation was odd on my cheek - pros way outweighs the con of that though.
  1. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing? Yes! Most definitely for my children.
FizzySmiles · 11/11/2020 18:56

** missed this question

  1. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried? I liked the flavour of mine and my children were so keen they thought they were getting a treat every day 😂

I was unsure about the sugar content and it being so close to their teeth though?

bakingqueen · 11/11/2020 18:56

We tried the children’s and the skin and hair one

bakingqueen · 11/11/2020 19:02

We tried the children’s and the skin and nail ones. We really liked the packaging this looked very premium.

I dislike the taste I felt there was a bitter aftertaste. My older children tried theirs and really were not fans. They did not like the taste both initially and the after taste

My children compliance was lower with this than the gummy style vitamins they usually take due to the taste.

No we will not be using these due to the taste

AddictedToRadley · 11/11/2020 19:12
  1. Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts?
Conception spray. Loved the packaging and looks of the product, it looks very high end and expensive. I felt that there wasn’t enough information about which vitamins/minerals were in the formula. For example, I had thrown the cardboard sleeve away and the next day I wanted to check the levels of folic acid to compare against pregnacare but found the information missing from the bottle. I think most consumers would throw away the cardboard outer packaging so do feel this information needs to be printed on the bottle somewhere, even if it was on the inside of the label like a few companies do with their medicines. This is my biggest concern and would put me off buying it if I knew it wasn’t listed on the bottle. I have enough stuff in my house without keeping random pieces of packaging.
  1. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried?
I thought the spray tasted more like neat blackcurrant cordial than the pomegranate and raspberry it was supposed to be. A very strong flavour that I needed to take a drink after a minute to disperse the strong flavour. Too strong for me but I guess that is to cover the taste of the iron.
  1. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past?
Initially I was very excited at the prospect of one less tablet to take. However, after a few days of using I found the flavour to be too intense and started to dread taking it. I would still use it but found it hard to press the pump as I knew what was coming! I can’t take liquid medicines because of the flavours so normally prefer tablets. I think that the spray is a much better alternative to medicines if you struggle with tablets and I would recommend to friends/family once it is for sale.
  1. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing?
I will finish the bottle but wouldn’t buy again unless there were different flavours to try and the bottle had the necessary information printed on it as well as the cardboard outer. I would absolutely try it in pregnancy (if I were lucky enough to conceive!!) because I couldn’t face taking tablets in my last pregnancy due to morning sickness. I think it would be amazing for that because I would assume that your body would still have absorbed the medicine through the cheek if you were sick whereas the tablet would have to be retaken if you were sick within 20 minutes of taking. I think it would be amazing for this and would purchase it 100%.

Thank you for the opportunity to trial your new product, I do love the idea of the product it’s just that the flavour is wrong for me. I think a range of flavours would be a great idea so that women could choose the right flavour for their palette.

LostMyBaubles · 11/11/2020 19:21

1- I tried the hair skin and nails spray and children health on kids

2- Kids enjoyed their sprays and while the taste is a little overpowering still didn't mind myself

3-dosage counter would be useful on the side would be appreciated so we know we have sprayed enough. Prefer this to tablets.

4- will defo continue to use.
Thank you

  1. Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts?
Conception
  1. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried?
Really loved it, tasted natural - much nicer than tablet taste
  1. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past?
It didn't include all the vits, minerals and supplements I would like - ideally it would have been folate and not folic acid. Would have liked it to have included a multi vitamin
  1. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing?
Yes, I'll finish the bottle as I love the taste! I would look at others in the range. Packaging is simple but is there a reason it's not sold as a bigger bottle?
sarahbtsn · 11/11/2020 20:07
  1. Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts?
I tried the conception spray. My intial thoughts were that it looked great and I liked the packaging. Not lots of waste either.
  1. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried?
I thought the flavour was nice. Was a bit aprehensive at first but was pleasantly surprised. It was a bit sweet though, but at least it tasted fine!
  1. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past?
Easy to take and to carry around. Don't think it saves time or anything but a good concept and good for people who struggle to take tablets.
  1. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing?
Yes as long as the price is right.
EvilHerbivore · 11/11/2020 20:12
  1. Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts?

We tested the hair and nails spray and the children’s vitamin spray.
Thought it was packaged well and liked the informative booklet but the children’s spray didn’t look very appealing/child friendly

  1. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried?

Very strong! Nice enough flavour but DS1 said it tasted like undiluted cordial

  1. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past?

The children’s spray doesn’t have omega in which I think is important
The spray pump is too hard for my kids to press themselves so I have to do it but that means the positioning (getting it in their inner cheek) is awkward so we’ve had a few misses
I think these would be good for fussy eating children though or those that can’t take tablets

I found it motivates me to take mine as I usually don’t especially as I don’t have to remember to get a drink too - however I would like ideally to have more ‘stuff’ in it than what is already in such as iron etc

  1. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing?

Probably not purely on the fact they don’t have everything in I would want - omega in the kids and if I’m going to take a supplement I would like it to have all the usual multivitamin ‘stuff’ in
If these could be added, then I’d be much more likely
Cost would be a factor too

Thank you for letting us test :)

justanothermamma · 11/11/2020 20:14
  1. Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts?

Pregnancy, for nausea. Well packaged, easily fit in handbag.

  1. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried?

Absolutely fine!

  1. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past?

Much nicer to take than tablets.

  1. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing?

I continued to use it until I had my baby, no longer pregnant - but I'd look to use their other products now!

freefan · 11/11/2020 20:51
  1. Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts?

I tested the Hair, Skin and Nails which was 4 sprays into the inside of the cheek, I split this into twice a day and it was hassle free.
My child was lucky enough to get to test the Childs spray and again no worries regarding this
Both sprays came in recyclable packaging with informative easy to understand pamphlets regarding what vitamins were included and the dosage.

  1. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried?

I found the spray I was testing to have a really nice flavour with no after taste and my child liked their spray and the very fact that every day they have willingly opened their mouth for me to spray the inside of their cheek confirms that it must have been a good taste.

  1. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past?

The spray was completely waste and hassle free and it was good knowing that the vitamins were being absorbed rather than digested.

  1. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing?

I am already looking at the range and plan on continuing with these supplements, so much easier than tablets or gummies especially for the kids.

Capaflyuk · 11/11/2020 20:57
  1. Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts?
I tried the conception spray. I loved that the bottle is quite small as it's easy to carry around or hide away. The box is quite big though for such a small bottle.
  1. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried?
I quite like the flavour and didn't feel like it lasted for too long after using it. I would love to be able to choose from a few different flavours though.
  1. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past?
I liked the idea of the spray and it was super easy to use. It didn't mention having to use it when you've eaten like a lot of pills do. The only worry I had was whether I was keeping it in my mouth for long enough to get the full benefit as it mentioned it being absorbed in to the cheek. If it didn't stay there after being sprayed and ended up being swallowed, would it be as good?
  1. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing?
I will continue to use the bottle I have and might buy more if it's not too expensive.
Rufus27 · 11/11/2020 21:03
  1. Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts
Children’s and Hair, Skin, Nails. Professionally packaged with useful info booklet.
  1. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried?
Both really pleasant and natural tasting.
  1. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past?
Massively more pleasant. Also much more child friendly.
  1. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing?
The only reason I wouldn’t continue the adult one is that I’m a vegetarian who already takes a multi vitamin for the B vitamins and iron ; the vitamins in your spray duplicate those I already take in the multi vitamin. I wish you did a spray which included a wider range of vitamins and minerals.

The children’s spray is brilliant for children who won’t take a tablet. My only problem was they liked it so much I was worried they’d get hold of it (they are young) and have the whole lot, so I kept it well hidden!

WilsonandNoodles · 11/11/2020 22:29
  1. Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts? I tried the pregnancy formula. I liked the idea of the spray. It made it easy to carry around with me and was easy to use.
  2. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried? I found it a bit odd but not offensive.
  3. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past? The bottle is easy to use and transport but any tablet form I have used before I have only had to use once a day rather than 4 so haven't needed to transport.
  4. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing? I will finish the bottle but I am not sure I would buy it again. My iron levels were looking a little low when last tested so if they have improved on the next check it will be down to the spray and I will stick with it.
ChloeK12 · 11/11/2020 23:02

  1. Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts?

Conception.

  1. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried?

Overall nice - but a little bit on the sweet side for me!

  1. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past?

So much easier than taking tablets. Although I wasn’t sure if it had absorbed properly, I guess it’s a case of getting used to it.

  1. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing?

Yes I would, although it would depend on the price point.

Thanks for letting me trial it Smile

danigrace · 12/11/2020 05:32
  1. Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts?
Conception. Being a fan of the companies other vitamin sprays (long term users of the adult and more recently junior vitamin D spray) I was really looking forward to trying this. At first glance the packaging looked nice and the initial flavour was good. However a HUGE gripe is that the vitamins and quantities are on the box that gets thrown away but not the bottle itself - is that even allowed?? It was very annoying when I wanted to refer back and all the useful info was completely absent.
  1. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried?
4 sprays of the big pump is quite a lot. I found the flavour very pleasant at first and thought it would be a great alternative to pregnacare tablets which in my previous pregnancies has made me feel sick in the first trimester. However there is a very irony blood-like aftertaste which as it's an oily liquid and coats the mouth hangs around a while and isn't great.
  1. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past?
For mine and the little ones daily vitamin D I'll definitely stick with the spray, I like the ease of use and that it's better absorbed, but still undecided on this one.
  1. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing?
Going to go back to pregnacare conception but may try the pregnancy spray once conceived.
foreveryours123 · 12/11/2020 07:46

i tried the conception spray, the taste was ok, i do prefer tablets if i am honest. over all it was ok, for someone who might struggle taking tablets it would be ideal. dont think that i will be buying this product

BollockyBagels · 12/11/2020 08:19
  1. Which product/s from the range did you test?
What were your initial thoughts? My teenage daughter and I tested the hair, skin and nails spray and my 12 year old son tested the vitamin spray. We all liked the minimal eco friendly packaging, especially the orangutan symbol and what it stands for.
  1. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried?
We all liked the flavours, although they are quite intense!
  1. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past? We've never tried hair, skin and nail supplements before. My son is a nightmare taking tablets so this format of vitamin supplement was absolutely perfect for him.
  1. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing?
Yes - my daughter's skin has improved dramatically in the short time she's been using it. Not sure if we can see a difference in our hair and nails yet though. I've had a sore nostril (random or what?!) for a few weeks which has also improved after using the spray where Sudacream hasn't really helped. Depending on the price of the children's vitamin spray, I would consider using it but not on a long term basis - maybe after a bout of illness.

Thanks for picking us to try the products 🙂

Pricey123 · 12/11/2020 11:21
  1. Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts?

I tried the conception spray. I really liked the idea, especially as taking traditional tablets has often made me feel nauseous, so an alternative to these is great. I also liked the idea I could carry it in my handbag, in case I ever forget to take it! It would be good if the actual bottle didn’t have such large lettering though telling you what it is, fine on the packaging but anyone who looked in my bag would also know what it is.

  1. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried?

I liked the initial taste and flavour combination, but it would be good to tell people to have a glass of water afterwards as there is a bit of an aftertaste

  1. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past?

I much preferred having a handy spray to taking multiple tablets, particularly as tablets tend to make me feel nauseous. The only thing that did concern me was if I was taking it properly hence was I actually getting the right amount of folic acid? Easy to know with a tablet, but not so obvious with the spray.

  1. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing?

Yes, definitely. I love the format and the fact I no longer feel nauseous!

lozster · 12/11/2020 11:31
  1. Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts?
Skin hair and nails plus the childrens multivit. My partner, child and me tried the kids spray. My partner and me tried the skin/nails spray. The packaging was all very 'posh'. I'm not keen on the name dropping of Madeleine Shaw - I have no clue what her credentials are, she seems to represent a particular lifestyle that I don't particularly identify with. For me, I could do without that, it puts me off. The kids spray packaging could be less sophisticated and more fun/playful as it isn't very different to the adult one. This doesn't particularly both me but some parents might be concerned that there is no child lock on the kids spray.
  1. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried?
Initially delicious. In seconds though, the fruity flavour was replaced with a horrible artificial sweetener taste. My child and partner were less bothered by this than me.
  1. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past?
I was really keen to try this as I find multivit tablets upset my stomach. I love the spray format. It avoids any digestive problems. However, I was a bit uneasy about the instruction to spray in cheek. Is this because it's the best (or only) way to absorb the vitamins? 4 sprays in a cheek is too much liquid at once and made the aftertaste worse than just spraying into the mouth. Given my issue with the aftertaste, I did wonder whether a mint spray might be better. That way I could incorporate my vitamin dose in my morning or evening toothbrushing routine? with the fruit flavour and bad aftertaste, I'm not sure when to use this as I don't want to ruin a fresh mouth or spoil any food or drink I eat after...
  1. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing
Yes, definitely. My little boy loved it however, he gets a gummy vitamin everyday so that's tough competition. I am using his kids spray as the range of vits in there, including D, more closely matches what I'm after than the skin and nails version.
