  1. Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts?

Pregnancy, I was rather dubious of using this as i didnt no how a spray would work and if it was effective?? packaging was good and encouraging

  1. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried?

Nice minty fresh flavour like a mouth wash but it did have an after taste which with me having morning sickness didnt help!

  1. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past?

Alot quicker and easier especially if u dont like taking tablets

  1. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing?

Probaly not if im honest. I do worry the vitamins aren't getting in my system and effective.
I would also need to compare how much it is compared to the tablet form I take at the moment (pregnacare)

  1. Which product/s from the range did you test?
Conception spray What were your initial thoughts? Seemed like a really good idea and easier/more discreet than a tablet
  1. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried?
I really liked the berry taste but it was a bit chalky tasting afterwards
  1. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past?
I like the ease of the spray and i could just spray wherever without having water
  1. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing?
Yes I really like it
pollywiggle · 13/11/2020 12:56
  1. Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts?

Conception.
Have used the B12 spray before and loved it as I had heard more absorbent than pills. Was excited to try the conception formula.

  1. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried?
Reminded me of sherbet lemon sweets- a bit too sweet for my taste, but not unpleasant.
  1. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past?
The spray method is fun and easy to use. I usually forget to take my conception pills (I normally use a wellknown brand which require taking 2 multivit pills and an omega pill daily).
  1. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing?
If it is a reasonable price, I would definitely order rather than use pills. (Particularly if they had another flavour that was a little less sweet.)

  1. Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts?
Hair and nails and children's vitamins. I like the concept of the spray, very easy to administer, especially on my 3 year old.
  1. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried?
Quite artificial but didn't longer in my mouth which was beneficial.
  1. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past?
Haven't tried any others.
  1. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing?
Absolutely. The test period was too short to see if there were any health benefits.
PainintheholeSIL · 13/11/2020 14:12

Just replying here in case my email has been missed. I’m not ignoring the request for feedback!! I was selected to try the conception spray but I never received it.

Ladymoet007 · 13/11/2020 14:20
  1. Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts?

The product I tested was Conception, my initial thoughts I liked the bottle and the packaging looked like a premium brand and its handy to put in your bag with a nice informative booklet I like the concept of the spray however,I would have liked information regarding what is contained inside** the bottle on the outside label so I know what I'm taking.

  1. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried?

initially tasted the rasberry but then after taste kicked in like iron metallic taste in my mouth for quite sometime.

  1. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past?

It is so much easier to take than tablets, quicker and convenient but with the tablet form you don't taste anything.

  1. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing?

Yes will continue until the bottle is finished. I'm undecided if I will buy it as it might work out more expensive then the products on the market right now.

Testers, please give your feedback on this thread by answering the questions below, as well as completing the short survey we’ve emailed you.

  1. Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts?

We tested the Children's Health spray and the Hair, Skin & Nails spray.

  1. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried?

I really liked both flavours. The Hair, Skin & Nails spray had quite a strange after taste though - not enough to put me off but I wasn't expecting it.

  1. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past?

This is the first time I've used spray vitamins and I was really impressed by how easy they were to use.

  1. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing?

Yes definitely. My children loved the spray - not sure whether it's the novelty factor but they were asking for more every day! And I found it really easy to take my vitamins in spray form too. Very impressed and would purchase myself.

namechangedasscared · 13/11/2020 16:12
  1. Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts?

Hair, skin and nails - nice flavour, easy to use, looks appealing

Children’s health - looks like something I would be happy to give my children, until I spotted it contains B12. This would mask a B12 deficiency, and I have a concern at present that one of my sons might be deficient.

  1. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried?

I liked the flavour of the hair, skin and nails one. The kids one I don’t know about as I was unable to try it on my son as we are awaiting a blood test to check his B12.

  1. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past?

I definitely prefer the spray! Much better and easier than tablets.

  1. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing?

Yes - I need to give it longer to see how well it really works.

Carefree1 · 13/11/2020 16:27
  1. Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts?
I tested the conception spray and I was really keen on the luxury packaging. It looked like it would be a premium brand. My criticism, is I couldn’t see any of the ingredients it contained or in what capacity, except for the fact it contains iron. I kept checking multiple times as I thought I was mad.
  1. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried?
I quite liked the sweetness of the spray, but I wouldn’t say it tasted like the flavours on the box. But, a nice sweet fruity taste none the less. It did leave a metallic taste, which I assume is the iron, but I didn’t find this unpleasant and went quickly.
  1. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past?
I liked the concept and I haven’t forgotten to take it. Probably because as I pass it, I can just pick it up and spray and done. It’s more convenient than the big prenatal tablets which can be quite big.
  1. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing?
I would consider continuing using the spray if I knew what was in it and the price point was comparable to some of the other leading supplements. I also think it would be hard to know when you are going to run out and to order/buy another one as you don’t have a visual prompt like running out of tablets.

Overall, I enjoyed testing the product.

Attictroll · 13/11/2020 18:12

I was sent them but only got to the survey too late...sorry
Here are my answers

  1. Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts?
Childrens and beauty. Quite liked packaging - at first % of vitamin was not obvious. I liked the spray for myself but the frequency for both myself and my son was too much to remember. I stopped giving it to my son as I felt the spray concept for children with the frequency required wasn't good.
  1. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried?

I tried both ...ok flavours.

  1. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past?

Ok - good for a quick zap but didn't like them for kids because of frequency and might encourage non healthy spray things being tried.

  1. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing?

I probably wouldn't buy it I did look for it in H&B to see the price and felt for the days it allowed was not good value. But I will use both until finished...as I am happy to use but don't like the idea of frequency of sprays for DC.

Attictroll · 13/11/2020 18:14

Also today's email which I missed until now was the only official contact I've had about the test - I was in fact surprised when it suddenly arrived through the post. I would have been happy to do the survey if it had been sent earlier.

TheChristmasPrincess · 13/11/2020 18:24
  1. Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts?

I tried the conception daily oral spray. It was an easy to use, easy to carry spray. The label was very clinical and medicinal looking but the box it came in looked luxe. I really loved that the packaging was made from plant based plastic and so is easily recycled. The box gives you all info/ingredients/instructions etc. The bottle tells you how to use the spray but doesn’t list the vitamins provided, which was annoying when I lost the box and wanted to know the nutritional value of the spray. I was disappointed in the low levels of zinc and iron, which was at 20% and 36% RDA respectively. A lot less than other conception supplement brands!

  1. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried?
On initial spray, the flavour is very sweet and a little bit tart/sharp. I guessed it was meant to be raspberry and discovered it was pomegranate and raspberry flavoured, so I think it did well on that part. For the first few days I tried it, it left a horrible metallic after taste in my mouth that I could only get rid of if I swilled my mouth out or drank something afterwards. I couldn’t see anything about whether having a drink after spraying would inhibit it’s effectiveness so was worried I wouldn’t receive the full benefits. After 3 days this aftertaste faded, so not sure if I got used to it or not. It became a lot more tolerable but there was still definitely an odd taste in my mouth.
  1. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past?
It’s definitely easier than swallowing a pill with water. Its really easy to use, you just spray it into the inside of your cheek. It’s a bit annoying and laborious having to spritz it 4 times, I feel like it should be 1-2 max with a stronger concentration. But it was easy to throw in my bag and use when I was at my desk at work. I personally prefer chewing on gummies but I prefer the spray over traditional tablets.
  1. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing?
I will use it until I’ve finished the bottle but probably wouldn’t buy again unless heavily discounted. The 4 spritz method was a bit laborious when I could easily swallow one tablet or a gummy, and the RDA of the vitamins was a lot lower than expected, especially compared to brands such as Well Woman. I also didn’t enjoy the after taste.
louisethedisease · 13/11/2020 19:33

I tested the hair, skin and nails supplement, my daughter tested the child’s multivitamin one. On opening the box the packaging was lush and looked expensive. We were excited to try them go did so immediately.
The peach and mango flavoured hair, skin and nails one was nice, it didn’t leave an after taste. My daughter enjoyed the raspberry flavour childs one and said it tasted of sweets.
Much easier to take than pill format which we both struggle with.
We both will continue to the end of the product and depending on the price we may purchase for future use. We already use the vitamin d spray which we enjoy.
Thanks

  1. Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts?

I tested the conception spray. My first thought was that it was easy to use and tasted very good! It also looks like a premium product.

However, when I checked the ingredients it says it uses folic acid. It would be better if this could be a more natural version of folate, such as methyl folate, so that those people who have a gene variant that prevents absorption of folate from folic acid could have better results from this spray.

  1. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried?

It tasted lovely!

  1. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past?

The spray was very easy to use, and it was also easy to get the right dose. It is much more convenient than having lots of different pills to swallow!

  1. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing?

Yes, I will definitely continue to use it! I believe that sprays are a very good method of administering vitamins, and the taste is lovely.

Shannith · 13/11/2020 21:54
  1. Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts?

Hair and nails and children’s. Looked ok, not much information on how the vitamins work (just that it contains them)

  1. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried?

Should be nice but left a vague taste of alcohol. My DD said, and I quote, “they taste like evilness. Are you trying to kill me?” She’s a little dramatic and when pressed said they were ok.

  1. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past?

To be fair I take a lot of Perscription medication so I’m used to loads of tablets. If I could take all of those as a spray I’d be happy.

DD is ok with tablets but can make a fuss so I was hopeful she’d take to the spray. Jury is still out. I’m goin to put it in her bathroom so it becomes part of her morning routine.

  1. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing?

I don’t think so. The delivery formal would make more sense for people who can’t take tablets at all. Possibly a medical use (though I imagine dosage issues)

It’s a nice idea but u less it was cheaper than tablets I don’t think I’ll swop.

Monkeyrules · 14/11/2020 05:23

Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts? The conception spray

  1. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried? Ok.a bit of an after taste but this doesn't bother me.
  2. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past? Easier in that it's a spray and I took the four doses in one go as I would be likely to forget to do it repeatedly throughout the day. I wonder about the absorption as although there is a scientific study saying that absorption is better compared to tablets the spray is still a new product and therefore has had less tests done on it.
  3. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing? Yes until the bottle is used up and then I will decide whether to continue
CurlyNo2 · 14/11/2020 09:09
  1. Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts?

I tried the conception spray. Looked really expensive when it arrived. Love the box and the leaflet that came with it. Thought instructions could have been placed in a better area as had to search to find them, not easily identifiable.

  1. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried?

Initial spray tasted nice but had a funny lingering taste after a while. But was still pleasant.

  1. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past?

Love, love, love the concept of a vitamin spray. So easy to pop in your bag. Im forever forgetting to take tablets so a quick spray and your done.

  1. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing?

Yes definitely, I'd like to try the other sprays too. It would be something I would choose over standard vitamin tablets definitely.

Ledkr · 14/11/2020 09:14
  1. Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts?

We tested the skin and nails and the children's spray.

  1. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried?

I think the flavours were a bit strong and artificial tasting. The skin and nails one left a nasty aftertaste and a kind of coating.
The kids one is slightly better but my daughter wasnt keen but she is a very fussy and dramatic child.

  1. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past?

I like the sprays and i believe they absorb quicker. of covid. I currently take vit D zinc and Vit C.

  1. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing

So yes i would continue with sprays but not for skin and nails. I would prefer a multi vitamin one especially in this time.

Amaksy · 14/11/2020 14:57
  1. Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts? Conception, tastes great and not off putting so I look forward to having my pumps/ sprays every morning.
  1. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried? I really liked the flavour - pomegranate and raspberry though the purple packaging slightly indicates it may be lavender.
  1. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past? This has a lovely flavour better than tablets/ capsules and handy size for a while if you take when on the go. In the past I've only taken the Folic acid supplements for conception.
  1. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing? Yes I plan to continue using it as it tastes great though a bit pricey but might buy when on offer.
thecowshed · 14/11/2020 20:43

Firstly apologies for not completing the survey on time - didn't see the deadline, I'm sorry.

  1. Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts?

I tested the Better You Conception Daily Oral Spray in pomegranate and raspberry flavour. My initial thoughts were mostly positive - I thought it had a pleasant flavour, and was a bit like spraying some neat squash into my mouth. It was easy.

  1. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried?

I thought it was pleasant, but after a week or so of it I sometimes found a slightly fishy aftertaste.

  1. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past?

It is I suppose slightly easier than taking vitamin pills, however I'm not bothered about pills, so as the spray only lasts a month and would require a new bottle each time, I would prefer to use less plastic and just take pills.

  1. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing?

I will use it until it's finished, and then go back to taking pills. If I saw it on offer I would consider it, but I think for me, while it is pleasant enough and a bit of a novelty, it will not be a cost-effective way to take vitamins.

DressingGownofDoom · 14/11/2020 23:43

This is probably a coincidence but I have conceived this month after using the spray for the last couple of weeks!

chicshadow · 15/11/2020 11:00

@DressingGownofDoom Wow, congratulations! How long had you been trying for?

Mummytwo78 · 15/11/2020 12:16

  1. Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts?

I was lucky to be selected to try both:

The Children’s Health
BetterYou Children’s Health Daily Oral Spray, provides an expert blend of seven key nutrients that are essential in supporting your child’s immune health, bone growth and psychological development
and
The Hair, Skin & Nails
BetterYou Hair, Skin & Nails is an expert blend of seven essential nutrients to support the maintenance of healthy skin, hair and nails

My Eleven year old Daughter and Myself trialed the two products.

We both liked the look of the packaging and the ease of use of the pump action spray.

  1. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried?

Mine was sweet and fruity a combination of orange, peach and mango, so really pleasant. My daughters was raspberry which just so happens to be her favourite fruit so very easy to get her to try it.

  1. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past?

Much nicer to spray than swallow! Wink

  1. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing?

Will consider purchasing for both of us after we have finished, as i really suffer with weak nails and my daughter is a veg dodger.

luanda111 · 15/11/2020 21:05
  1. Which product/s from the range did you test? What were your initial thoughts?
I tested Conception and I loved it. This spray is so much easier to swallow than tablets.
  1. What did you think of the flavour of the spray/s you tried?
Nice fresh flavour, I like it.
  1. How would you compare spray supplementation to other formats you’ve tried in the past?
I prefer spray, because it is quicker and easier to consume. I will definitely buy vitamin sprays for my kids, because they hate swallowing tablets.
  1. Do you plan on continuing to use the spray/s you’ve been testing?
Yes, I will definitely continue to use and purchase and recommend to others. Fantastic idea.
