Average. Yes it is a healthier alternative for children but there was nothing super exciting about it.

Possibly but it would have to be a lot a good price as we eat so much yoghurt in our house I wouldn’t be able to afford it at a high price mark.

• How did you use Little Yeos Natural Fromage Frais for your children?

On top of cereal and mixed into their fruit smoothies as usual.

• What did you and your child like about Little Yeos Natural Fromage that you tried?

They are big yoghurt fans anyway. It took them a bit of getting used to as the ones they usually eat are fruit flavoured and with that probably more sweet and full of sugars.

• Would you recommend Little Yeos Natural Fromage Frais Big Pot to a friend or family member with a young child?

Probably not. I found the pot an awkward size. It wasn’t small enough for lunch boxes of big enough to feed the family. I would probably stick to what I normally get which is small individual pots and one really big one.

My daughter is nine months and yoghurt is her favourite thing. We had it for breakfast while she was feeding herself strawberries and blueberries, and another day she had it for dessert at lunch, on its own.

The lack of added sugar made it something I’d give to my daughter. I also liked the big pot I could stick in the fridge and use throughout the week, with the amount depending on how hungry she was. We both loved the taste.

Definitely as you can make lots of different things with it like add fruit, use as a dip, add fruit puree or even bit of jam.

Creamy and good thickness. It didn't have the sour taste of yogurt which meant it was popular with my DC. I like the brand and the size of the pot was ideal.

mild tasting and thick enough to get a proper spoonful. I explained to my DC why larger packs were better for the environment and so he enjoyed taking a portion out of the pot rather than his usual individual yogurts.

Yes

I was impressed, I admit that when I tasted it I didn’t think my little one would eat it but he did as it is quite ‘tart’ but he ate really enjoyed it and as it has no sugar it quite versatile so could be used in other cooking.

I would probably buy it again yes.

I gave it to him for lunch with chopped fresh fruit.

I like that the larger pack means I can control portion size. He ate without comment really but I see that as a good thing.

My children enjoyed it, with fruit. I also used it in a curry that we all ate, it was lovely.

I like that it's plain, this means I can choose how to sweeten it, regular fromage frais has a lot of sugar. I like that it uses less plastic. I like that there is a decent amount in the pot, but at the same time there isn't too much. If I buy a large pot of plain yoghurt for example it always goes off before we finish it. I like that it is organic too

Tasted very nice and I had some happy babies after I liked that you could use as much or as little as you wanted. Liked that the outer packaging was cardboard so could be recycled.

My son (1) and my daughter (3) both loved this product. It's the perfect size for little ones, we got about 5 servings out of the pot.

Yes definitely, I'm going to try the strawberry one too next time I go food shopping. We regularly buy the smaller multipack of their fromage frais so this is another one to add to our repertoire!

• How did you use Little Yeos Natural Fromage Frais for your children?

We enjoyed it plain, with strawberries/raspberries and also tried it with a little honey.

• What did you and your child like about Little Yeos Natural Fromage that you tried?

We liked that it was so versatile. You can have it for breakfast with fruit or granola, or at lunch with fruit. Mine also enjoyed it as a dessert. It could also be used as a substitute for plain yogurt in curries or Moroccan dishes.

Yes definitely. I'll be recommending it to my SIL when she starts weaning her little one.

Good but not hugely different to our usual natural yoghurt

We picked raspberries and blackberries from the garden and had them with the yoghurt for breakfast - it went down very well.

My DD preferred the thicker texture for sure. I liked that it's organic w less plastic waste as I do find yoghurts especially wasteful

I would yes although it was hard to find and I had to check 3 supermarkets before I found it.

The same Yeo Valley quality organic yogurt (with no added sugar) I know and love, but in a single big pot rather than 7 individual little ones. Brilliant!

Yes I would.

On their breakfast cereal and with fruit. The baby who has recently started weaning had some plain.

• What did you and your child like about Little Yeos Natural Fromage that you tried?

I liked the plain flavour, which is much more versatile than pre-flavoured yogurts. The larger tub meant that I could dish up as much as I wanted to rather than being limited to tiny pots. And less plastic waste is definitely a bonus (and a priority on this house).

Yes, if they got through lots of yogurt. I wouldn't buy it if I only had my youngest. We just wouldn't get through it all in 2-3 days. But easily are it all with a toddler as well!

My overall opinion was good, I enjoyed the yoghurt and my son absolutely loved it!

Yes definitely. We appreciated the natural credentials and the fact that YeoValley is making an effort to improve the environmental impact of its packaging.

Have you considered making a dairy free yogurt Yeo Valley? I used to buy your products but looked into what has to happen routinely in the dairy industry - the calves being taken away from the mothers permanently at a few hours old and realised I did not want to support this in any way.

Feel better for stopping dairy too- no more sinusitis. Have you any plans to develop something in the plant based field?

The size of the pot is very good. Some days he has a better appetite than others.
My son is used to having plain yoghurt so this was no different in taste for him. I like that it is healthier.

Very creamy and not very sweet but I like that it's lower in sugar for my daughter.

Only if other yeo valley big pots weren't available or if I wanted to make something with it, like adding it to fruit and muesli. My daughter prefers the lemon and raspberry adult big pots now but this would have been a brilliant product for weaning.

We like the thick creamy texture as my toddler finds this easier to scoop up. It makes less mess than runnier yoghurts. I also love that it's organic and healthy.

Yes I would definitely recommend this product. Pacticularly for early stages of weaning where you want to limit sugar intake.

Yes I would . I work in a nursery and will be letting the parents know about the wonderful product.

What was your overall opinion of Little Yeos Natural Fromage Frais?

We are big fans of Yeo Valley products and both my children were weaned on the little pots of Fromage Frais with no added sugar. I’m thrilled that there is now the plain version in the big pot, great to spoon into ramekins over fruit for puddings in a more generous portion.

Yes I have already repurchased twice. £1.12 from Ocado and £1 from Tesco yesterday. Also bought the strawberry flavour which is lovely.

-How did you use Little Yeos Natural Fromage Frais for your children?

Mixed with fruit purée for mid morning snack, over cereal for breakfast, stirred into curry for dinner, with beans with jacket potatoes for lunch and on top of home made blackberry and apple crumble.

What did you and your child like about Little Yeos Natural Fromage that you tried?

It doesn’t have that sour taste that some natural, unsweetened yoghurts have. It’s low sugar. Happy with the packaging using less plastic than the 6 small pots. More versatile than flavoured yoghurt. Better for older children as one small pot not really sufficient for them. Being organic, the hope is that the cows producing the milk from which the FF is made are not as intensively farmed as other dairy products.

Would you recommend Little Yeos Natural Fromage Frais Big Pot to a friend or family member with a young child?

Absolutely. It will be on my weekly shopping list from now on. Happy to earn more yeokens!

I liked the consistency and that it's organic. The bigger pot was a bonus too as it i is 30% less plastic than the little pots. I decanted it into a ramkin.

Maybe. I feel it's a little overpriced compared to a large pot of natural yogurt but it's comparable to the larger pot in the Yeo Valley range
