I wasn't sure when I first started to use it. Like ither posters my hair was getting blown in all directions and not staying against the brush barrel so was looking flyaway. I went over with the cool setting after I'd finished and now it's settled it actually looks really nice. It's smooth, shiny and feels really nice.

For those having problems getting hair to turn under, I found if I put my hand resting over my hair curling round the barrel when doing the bottom bits the ends went under nicely.

Mine still hasn't arrived 😫 and I'm away for two days now so the earliest I'll get to try it out is Wednesday.

Mines arrived but I’m not home till tomorrow so can’t report.

Looking forward to having a play though. Also thought I might let DS1 use it on his curly top Grin

Mine arrived yesterday but like @edwardcullensotherwoman and @Tequilamockinbird it didn't go as well as it might have, my hair kept getting caught. It's a bit ferocious!

It'll take some time to have a proper play and get used to this.

Had a go today with some goodish results. The back was still abit unruly. Going to have another go tomorrow am and report back.

Mine's arrived. It was a fabulous surprise, as I'd lost my phone (and therefore access to my emails), and so I wasn't expecting it.

I used it for the first time last night. The bristles are longer, thinner, and spread further apart than on my old one, and it seems to get less tangled because of that. I love the new rose gold and purple colour instead of the black. The buttons are shaped better and so they are easier to press (and not press the wrong one and change direction by mistake)
I also found because the barrell and handle were a bit longer, I was able to do more of my hair using one (my dominant) hand - which makes it look much better!
I only had 5 minutes last night, but first impressions of the new BBH are great! I'm looking forward to trying it properly.
I'm off to a wedding at the weekend, and it arrived at the perfect time!

DH piped up to add "I think it's better - it's less loud!"

Thanks!

I've used mine twice now, it's not all that impressive to be honest. I'll stick with it for the 2 weeks and see if I can get better at it, but I think I get neater and quicker results with a round hairbrush and a hairdryer.

I had much better results on day 2. I think my hair was too try to begin with the first time I tried it.
I have a few hair extensions in at the front, above my ears:

I got mine yesterday. (Thank you!)

I think the new version doesn’t catch your hair. Even though it’s bigger, it’s easier to handle.

Have just picked mine up from the post office! What a lovely surprise! I can't wait to try it out this week. Will post back with results. Smile

Do we review here or is there another thread? I've not seen another email telling me where to feedback!

They usually send an email with a link to the feedback thread towards the end of the test period Ooh

I’m coming to the conclusion that I’m not very good at doing my own hair Smile

I’ve asked my teen to give it a trial on me over the weekend

Daily - all I do it put on my normal product, flip head upside down and blast dry for a min or two so its 80% dry (as per instructions).... then brush it so the parting etc is how I want, and go around each layer / section with the big hair spinning it so the hair curls under. If I want more volume I make sure I pull up from the root on the hair too.

I was terrible at doing hair until I got my first BBH!

No notification yet derigour

Had a quick go with mine this morning. Blasted it off with the normal dryer then finished it off with the babyliss big hair care. Have come to the conclusion that it will take much longer than the usual blast off and run the straighteners through I usually do before heading out to drop the kids and rush off to work. I might get quicker with practice but this might be for the weekends and going out rather than every day use for me. Having said that, my hair is nice and soft and it was very easy to use.

Mine came a few days ago but I haven't had time to use it until today.

As a hairdresser/freelance writer/single mother/college student/bar person I am busy. I rarely have time to style my hair and usually tip my head upside down and attack it with a blow-dryer. I have superfine, tangle and frizz prone mid length layered hair so the results of this are never pretty which is not great when it's literally in your job description to have good hair. I can't count the amount of times I have walked into work and my boss has given me The Look while silently handing me the GHDs.

I've just tried the BaByliss big hair to rough dry my hair i.e not taking sections, head tipped upside down and attacking it with the big hair and I have to say I'm impressed. My hair is much less frizzy, doesn't feel as parched and is quite 'done' compared to normal.

My only issues are my hair tangled around the end of the brush a lot, which is not great when you don't have a lot of hair to start with but I think this could be solved by taking sections and using the styler as it was probably designed to be used. My second issue was heat. The styler didn't seem to get hot, which on my hair is a good thing. I have fine hair prone to scorching (my hair does not get on well with GHDs) but if I was to use this on a client with normal to thick, coarse hair it wouldn't be hot enough. I'm wondering whether this has something to do with the temp sensor so I'm going to try it and out on a client with thick, stubborn hair and see what happens.

Overall, I'm happy. I like this and would recommend it.

I agree about the heat, frequency. I also expected it to get a bit hotter than it does. It's probably much better for my hair than the other styling tools I use at full heat, but I felt like I wanted a bit more heat iyswim. Probably, though, this was because I was in a rush and wanted to get the job done! Grin
