BaByliss has asked us to find 50 Mumsnet users to test the new Big Hair Care, which is designed to be kinder to the hair (without compromising on styling performance) thanks to the sensor protect technology, and then report back on Mumsnet.

All selected testers will receive a BaByliss Big Hair Care to test over a period of two weeks, and then post their feedback on the product on a feedback thread on Mumsnet. It’s arrived! No time for a play last night, so I’ll be washing my hair straight after my morning tea.

Hopefully mine will arrive today. I need to have a shower but as dh is at work I darent Incase I miss it! The sorting office is miles away.

I’ve had a text from Royal Mail saying something is being delivered today so hope it’s that.

Seems much faster than my last one, can't adjust the speed on this one, just the temperature, but I have lovely bouncy hair this morning.

Wow, it turned up as I was in the shower washing my hair. Talk about timing!

What's the next steps?

I'm assuming I test it and post the results back here?

First impressions are it's quite a bit bigger than the old model. So less practical from the point of view of storage.

Having said that, if it delivers better results that would be a trade off I'd be happy with (my issues with the older model where that as I have thick hair it was quite time consuming given how relatively little I could put on the barrel at any one time without my hair getting tangled).

Definitely dried my hair more quickly and is nice and swooshy. Will see how it goes while I’m out

Mine arrived today, I was a bit unimpressed when I used it tbh
Did anyone else find their hair got caught in the joint between the barrel and the end? My ends are frizzy too as it sent them flying the opposite way as I rolled the ends
BUT I need a trim so could be the condition of my hair, and I used the lower heat setting so I'll try the higher one and get my haircut before making my decision

Received mine this morning but too late to use it as we had to be out early. Will have a play tomorrow after my driving lesson!

@edwardcullensotherwoman yes, I just came on to post the same. My hair kept getting caught around the end as well. It also tangled up in my hair a lot worse than the old one did. I've just had my hair cut to shoulder length and couldn't get the ends to curl under - they were curling all different ways.

Maybe it just takes a bit of getting used to. It does seem to spin faster than the old one so maybe I need to play around with it a bit.

I missed the delivery so I’ll collect on Monday and go from there. I also have 3 teen girls here ready to try it out and they are much better at hair styling than I am!

I spent some time yesterday having a play. I have a short bob and somehow ended up with proper Natasha Kaplinsky newsreader hair. The DC were very startled by it and DH had to hide his sniggers. Any tips for using it on shorter hair?

Mine arrived yesterday. I had a wee shot with newly washed but dry hair. I also noticed it tangled quicker but then i seemed to get it to work better. I possibly had hairspray in my hair. I'm going to dampen it and have a go today. I took a before and after pic. However remember this is only my first quick attempt. Green is before and blue is after.
