NOW CLOSED

BEAUTY PIE are looking for 25 Mumsnetters to test out their service and luxury beauty products available at factory costs. This product test is open to all UK Mumsnetters and testers will be given a 24 hour free trial membership of BEAUTY PIE, a boosted spending limit, plus 50% off their total basket.

Here’s what BEAUTY PIE has to say: “BEAUTY PIE is the first ever buyers club for beauty addicts. Members shop for luxury products from the world’s leading beauty labs and save up to 85% on the regular price. It seems too good to be true, but it’s not! You get the same quality cosmetics and high performance skincare without paying for the middlemen, the celebrity marketing or the retailer costs. So YOU get a bigger piece of the BEAUTY PIE.”

Selected testers will get:

  • 24 hour free trial to buy BEAUTY PIE’s discounted beauty products
  • £200 ‘regular price’ boosted spending limit (usually £100 for members)
  • 50% off their total basket order on member’s prices (member’s prices are the actual cost to BEAUTY PIE for the product, you can see the transparent cost breakdown on every product page)

Testers will have 2 weeks to test out their new beauty products and will be required to leave feedback on the service and products on a feedback thread on Mumsnet. Everyone who leaves feedback will be entered into a prize draw where 3 testers will win a £100 voucher of their choice (from a list).

If you are interested in taking part please sign up here.

Thanks and good luck!

I really really want this one. I keep checking my emails.

Bluntness100 · 19/09/2018 21:03

This makes no logical sense. Do they sell retail anywhere? So how do you know they are selling at cost, and getting a discount? It would seem thr discounted price is the actual price and everything else is just hype.

They won't stay in business long if they only make a tenner a month from each member and selling at cost.

Hi @EmmaMumsnet Can I Pull my Application for this One Please? I don't think I'd Use it to its full potential & would rather give someone else the Chance!
Thank you Smile

Can anyone who's used this before explain how the allowance works? Say if your spending limit is £200, the Japanfusion set is RRP £225, so how would you be able to buy it?

noraclavicle · 20/09/2018 18:42

MotherWol you’d be paying the members’ price, rather than the full £225

yellowsun · 22/09/2018 08:33

Has anyone heard anything?

ToftheB · 22/09/2018 18:52

I’ve not heard anything :(

MotherofTerriers · 24/09/2018 15:04

I've been picked! Really excited
Spent ages this morning on their website and am going to struggle to stick to the £200 limit - would have liked to try the Japanfusion set and the microneedle patches...…
I'll probably stick to the cheaper products so I can try a good selection.

yellowsun · 24/09/2018 18:15

I got picked too and have already ordered! I’ve got for japanfusion cleanser, the plantastic balm cleanser, retinol eye and hand creams and some double sided face cloths. All for £20! Can’t wait to try.

FlipperSkipper · 24/09/2018 18:26

Did you ladies get an email? Think I must have missed out!

ToftheB · 24/09/2018 19:30

I was lucky enough to get picked too. I’m struggling to choose as I want to try loads of stuff. I think I’m going to focus mainly on the make up (as a lot of mine needs replacing) and just try one skincare item. If it’s good though I’ll be very tempted to sign up and try the fancier skincare.

ToftheB · 24/09/2018 19:31

I’m sorry that you missed out Flipper.

noraclavicle · 24/09/2018 20:01

Someone who’s on the test & managed to place an order, please help me! I’ve followed the instructions (clicked the link & then Get Started) & attempted to add a Super Retinol set, but it tells me I’m over the spending limit, even though I’m supposed to be a member now & expected to charged the member’s price! Am I missing something here??

ToftheB · 24/09/2018 20:19

Nora - I think it’s because the ‘rrp’ for the full set is £260, and our test membership is limited to products up to £200. To buy the full set you’d need to be a member for a few months and let your allowance accumulate. You could get a good few of the retinol products in the trial individually though.

MotherofTerriers · 24/09/2018 20:20

I haven’t ordered yet but I think the spending limit is based on the full price even though you pay the members price

noraclavicle · 24/09/2018 20:22

Ok Hmm so you have to check out to activate the membership & then start over!

noraclavicle · 24/09/2018 20:27

Except it still won’t let me add the frickin’ set at member’s price, even though I can add other products!

noraclavicle · 24/09/2018 20:28

Ahhh, ok. Thanks folks - it’s not the clearest (well not to me anyway)

GrimDamnFanjo · 24/09/2018 21:55

The free 24 hours membership - has anyone done that yet?

yellowsun · 25/09/2018 21:01

My order has been dispatched!

lorka · 26/09/2018 16:38

I have just put in my order. Looking forward to trying it all out. Smile

MotherofTerriers · 26/09/2018 20:03

I’ve ordered. Paid extra for quicker delivery. No confirming email yet but hopefully it will arrive Friday

MotherofTerriers · 28/09/2018 11:00

Hmm, I ordered Wednesday evening, paid for next day delivery, thought it would arrive today
But as yet no email confirming it's been sent
And my postcode seems to be on the list of those not eligible for fast delivery, which is very odd, never had that before, we are just outside Glasgow not remote at all and DPD definitely deliver here.
Will wait and see what happens I suppose

GrimDamnFanjo · 29/09/2018 14:25

Mines now despatched. I think i will be Tuesday at the latest.

yellowsun · 29/09/2018 15:45

Liking my bits, especially the JapanFusion cleanser.
