What did you/your child think of the taste/texture? Loved the micky mouse packaging was so excited she really enjoyed the taste of all the products apart from the flapjack she hated the feel and wouldn't eat it because of it. Her favourite were the mini biscuits.
What did you like about the format/pack size? Brilliant perfect kid sized.
What did you like about the Disney Kitchen packaging? Really bright and eye catching for kids.
Would you swap your current brand to try Disney Kitchen? Yes I think I would if my daughter asked for t he m again.
Thanks for choosing us it's been great testing them!

What did were your first impression on the product?
I likes the packaging and I didn't realise they were an Anabelle karmel product as well which was a positive
What did you/your child think of the taste/texture?
Both of my children enjoyed the melty twists although none of us were sure how to eat them and it ended up all over the carpet! The flapjacks were very sticky and my eldest refused to eat it but youngest enjoyed it but made everything sticky! The biscuits were enjoyed by both and they both preferred the strawberry/ vanilla flavour

What did you like about the format/pack size?
The pack sizes of the biscuits were good especially for the youngest child. The melty twist was abit of an odd shape and size possibly would be better split into two.

What did you like about the Disney Kitchen packaging?
My eldest was very excited to see Mickey Mouse and I thought it was eye catching and would stand out

Would you swap your current brand to try Disney Kitchen?
Maybe include them with our normal shopping, would buy the biscuits again if the price was good and the melty twists for my youngest if the shape was better

We tested bundle 1 and my DD is 15 months.

What did were your first impression on the product?
Products arrived in unbranded packaging. I like the individually wrapped fruity bakes and small packet sizes for the breadsticks (although if this is one portion, I think it's too big).

What did you/your child think of the taste/texture?
The fruity bakes were a big hit with my DD in all flavours but the sugar content concerned me.
She refused the breadsticks although she does normally eat them, I think they were too hard.

What did you like about the format/pack size?
I like the portability of individually wrapped snacks but think the breadsticks portion was too big.

What did you like about the Disney Kitchen packaging?
Mine arrived in clear unbranded packaging so not visually appealing for a toddler but the pictures look good.

Would you swap your current brand to try Disney Kitchen?
I'd be tempted to try some other items in the range but would not buy either the breadsticks (as my DD didn't eat them) or the fruity bakes (high sugar).

We tested bundle 1

What did were your first impression on the product?
The artwork showing the packaging is bright and attractive. The fruity bakes are a convenient size.

What did you/your child think of the taste/texture?
He loved the fruity bakes, but found the breadsticks a bit dry and bland.

What did you like about the format/pack size? The fruity bakes are a good size for a quick and easy snack.

What did you like about the Disney Kitchen packaging?
Very bright and attractive packaging.

Would you swap your current brand to try Disney Kitchen?
Probably not- there is a lot of sugar in the fruity bakes and the breadsticks didn't go down very well.

What did were your first impression on the product?

It looked ok. The breadsticks seemed a bit hard. They arrived in clear plastic bags so could have been from anywhere.

What did you/your child think of the taste/texture?

He didn't like the bread sticks. He threw them on the floor after on bite. The fruity bakes were softer. He seemed to like them. He had a few bites. He threw the last but on the floor but that may be due to the size.

What did you like about the format/pack size?

Pack size was good to take out for the day. The fruity bakes we a bit big but could easily be broken in two and give to a toddler at different times.

What did you like about the Disney Kitchen packaging?

The product came in plain packaging so unable to comment.

Would you swap your current brand to try Disney
Not at the moment. May try the fruity bakes again.

What did you like about the Disney Kitchen packaging? biscuits good, rest not there

We had bundle 1- fruity bakes and breadsticks.

What did were your first impression on the product?

A bit underwhelmed given the plain see through packaging. However could instantly see that the fruity bakes were smaller, with a more textured, natural, baked appearance compared to the AK ones which have been on sale. They looked a better size to me. Both breadsticks are appealing colours.

What did you/your child think of the taste/texture?

DS3 and DS6 really enjoyed the fruity bakes -and thought them an improvement on the ones we've had before, which we're not always finished. Said they really fruity. I think the strawberry flavour might have been slightly preferred over others.

Keen on breadsticks too. Eldest said both flavours were cheesey and he would have liked the cheese flavoured one to be cheesier.

What did you like about the format/pack size?

Difficult to tell from the packaging we received. Not sure how many will be in a pack/price.

What did you like about the Disney Kitchen packaging?

Didn't have this. The flyer in the box showed pictures. It's fine. I hope the fruity bakes wouldn't be wrapped in Disney packaging -would put me off using them for school snacks as too babyish. Not so sure about Mickey Mouse really -my children have never been interested in MM. much more into Disney/Pixar characters like Lightening McQueen, Nemo, Dory etc.

Would you swap your current brand to try Disney Kitchen?

These are just the kind of things we buy for convenient snacking so yes.

What was your first impression of the product?
We tested package 1: mini baguettes and fruity bars.
I could tell DS would enjoy them. Was surprised to see they were in clear packaging but I guessed that was for the purpose of testing them out.
I thought the baguettes looked a bit robust- I was hoping they wouldn't be too tough for DS to enjoy.

*What did you/your child think of the taste/texture?
*
DS got stuck into the fruit bars straightaway, as a snack. He had another afterwards, he enjoyed each flavour and the bars were quite small.
I tested a tomato/herb baguette myself to check it would be ok for him to eat (not too hard or dry) and out of curiosity, as similar products on the market can be quite bland. I was pleasantly surprised, I could taste all the flavours and would eat them myself.

What did you like about the format/pack size?

I think the bars could be either a bit bigger, or sold in packs of two, otherwise the size is fine if they're sold in multipacks with enough in for a child who enjoys more than one at once/throughout the day.
The portion in the bags of breadsticks was a bit too generous, I thought, as they are too much to have as one snack and are better as part of a bigger meal (DS either had some to dunk in houmous, or with his evening dinner). But then again, they last if you seal the pack.

*What did you like about the Disney Kitchen packaging?
*
Hard to tell, as the snacks were packed in clear bags. But the sheet with the nutritional information was colourful and had Disney characters on. I can see how it would appeal to young ones out shopping with mum/dad!

*Would you swap your current brand to try Disney Kitchen?
*
Yes, I don't see why not, if the price is right. DS thoroughly enjoyed the snacks.

Thank you for sending them for us to try.

What did were your first impression on the product?
Looks very eye catching, we love Disney!

What did you/your child think of the taste/texture?
She loved the insensitivity of flavours and crunchy texture.

What did you like about the format/pack size?
Perfect finger foods, no mess, easy to eat on the go, easy to share too.

What did you like about the Disney Kitchen packaging?
So cute, my kids prefer fancy packaging.

Would you swap your current brand to try Disney Kitchen?
Definitely, because it is healthier and my kid enjoyed the samples very much.

What did were your first impression on the product?
I loved the individual packaging and the attractive colours for the Mini wholegrain biscuits. The other items came in transparent packaging.

What did you/your child think of the taste/texture?
My child loved the tastes of the snacks but was not particular about the melty twists.

What did you like about the format/pack size?
Pack sizing was decent but the flapjacks were a bit on the small side for my toddler.

What did you like about the Disney Kitchen packaging?
The packaging was colourful and attractive for a toddler.

Would you swap your current brand to try Disney Kitchen?
I would swap to the products my child liked in particular the flapjacks and wholegrain biscuits. He seemed to prefer these to his current brand of biscuits.

What did were your first impression on the product?
Biscuits looked inviting, flapjacks small looking, the melty twists looked an odd shape for a small child's hand.
What did you/your child think of the taste/texture?
4 year old loved the biscuits, crunchy and tasty. 14 month old loved the melty twists. Neither were keen on the flapjack only ate half between them.

What did you like about the format/pack size?
Biscuit pack size perfect. Texture and flavour of the melty twists great but too wide for a baby /toddler to manage. Bits went everywhere when she tried to eat it herself. Needs to be thinner. Flapjack too sweet and sticky.

What did you like about the Disney Kitchen packaging?
Eye catching for children. Showcases the natural flavourings

Would you swap your current brand to try Disney Kitchen?
Probably not as the baby can't eat the biscuits due to milk allergy, wasn't keen on the flapjack and the twists were an awkward shape.

We tested Bundle 1.

What did were your first impression on the product?
Looks a good size, easy to hold on to for their little hands.

What did you/your child think of the taste/texture?
Loved the breadsticks, but wasn't massively keen on the fruity bakes (my 7 year old loved them though!)

What did you like about the format/pack size?
Unsure if one bag of breadsticks is the whole pack size, but it's a good amount to have for a snack whilst out. The fruity bakes were individually wrapped so unsure if they are just one to a pack?

What did you like about the Disney Kitchen packaging?
There was no Disney packaging, everything was in clear plastic which was disappointing.

Would you swap your current brand to try Disney Kitchen?
Highly dependant on whether they are competitively priced.

  1. Kids loved Disney packaging. Nice and eye catching for children but also informative for adults.
  2. My kids really liked the fruity bakes but weren't as keen on the bread sticks. I thought they might be a handy size for snacking for smaller kids rather than the oversized ones for adults. They weren't as salty as well.
  3. Like I said I thought they size of the snacks was good for little kids.
  4. Nice packaging as previously mentioned.
  5. I would swap to the fruity bakes as they were nice. I would buy the bread sticks occasionally for a change.

Thanks very much for letting us try these products.

Snack Bundle 1 feedback.
What did were your first impression of product?
The Fruity Bakes looked inviting, the breadsticks looked chunky and a good shape and size for a toddler to hold. I was a bit wary that the breadsticks seemed rock hard.
What did you/child think of taste/texture?
We both loved all flavours of the Fruity Bakes. They were tasty and a nice texture not to hard, not to soft. I didn't like the breadsticks. Toddler however loved the Tomato ones but wouldn't eat the cheese ones(labelled Parmesan).
What did you like about pack size?
If this means size of snacks they were just the ideal size for a toddler snack, in between meals, or to keep them going. My samples didn't come in the packs so can't comment on anything else.
What did you like about Disney Kitchen packaging?
Mine didn't come in the packaging so can't really comment. From the pictures it looks attractive and contents etc clear on the front.
Would you swap from usual brand?
Yes I would use them again but I don't stick to one brand, I buy the ones on special offer, as long as they are free from etc.

What did were your first impression on the product?
Looked good! Breadsticks were sturdy so wouldn't crumble in a bag.

What did you/your child think of the taste/texture?
He loved the fruity bites - as did I. Didn't like the breadsticks. However this may just be personal taste.

What did you like about the format/pack size?
Perfect for snacking. Good size. Resealable would be good too.

What did you like about the Disney Kitchen packaging?
Fun and colourful by obvs we only saw a print out not the real thing . Easy to see what you get.

First impressions: the packaging looks colourful but I tend to avoid Annabelle karmel products as I know they add sugar to their snacks whereas other brands don't. I tend to go for the brands that don't add sugar rather than having to read through all the ingredients to find one that is suitable.

Fast/texture: I liked the twisty melt, it's chunky and easy to hold and doesn't make a mess. The biscuits were good too but the flapjack bar was too sticky and far too much sugar in it.

Pack size: seemed ok

Disney packaging: gimmicky and makes it look cheap, not needed.

Would I swap?: Due to added sugars, and gimmicky branding I would only get these as a treat if they were on special offer, not as a regular purchase.

Bundle 1 Feedback:

What were your first impression on the product?
The breadsticks looked rustic and appealing, the pack size was a little large but they would be good for sharing. The fruit bakes looked fab. They were a good size and colour.

What did you/your child think of the taste/texture?
The fruity bakes went down a storm. My daughter loved the taste and they were full of filling which is quite rare for something like this. They held together well and they were not as messy as I thought they would be.
The breadsticks were very hard and my little girl didn't like the parmesan flavoured ones at all. The tomato ones went down a little better, but I had to break them into pieces or otherwise, she left them completely.

What did you like about the format/pack size?
The pouches of breadsticks seemed a little on the large size. 4 or 5 would be more than enough for a snack. it would be handy if the packaging was resealable too.

What did you like about the Disney Kitchen packaging?
The snacks arrived in clear packaging but the leaflet that came with them looked fab. I assume this is going to be the packaging, in which case it is eye-catching and appealing. The Disney isn't too in-your-face and I would have expected it to stand out a little more if I'm honest.

Would you swap your current brand to try Disney Kitchen?
Yes. I would definitely buy the fruity bakes again and as the products don't include preservatives or non-natural ingredients I would be likely to try the rest of the range too.

The flapjacks were a massive hit with us and would definitely be something we would try again.
The melty twists however were not something our little ones enjoyed . They really weren't attractive and the texture seemed all wrong.
The wholegrain biscuits were ok but not something I would purchase.

What did were your first impression on the product?
Child friendly and reasonably wide range of products.

What did you/your child think of the taste/texture?
Apple and Strawberry biscuits went down well with the kids- they looked a bit like mini rusks. The twists were a resounding failure- they wouldn't even taste the

What did you like about the format/pack size?
Biscuits were a nice size. Flapjack seemed very small.

What did you like about the Disney Kitchen packaging?
Bright and branded- my son spotted the Disney logo from a mile off.

Would you swap your current brand to try Disney Kitchen?

Not everything came in packaging, the apple biscuits package I thought was bland looking. The twists were different looking but my daughter liked that.
My daughter liked the broccoli cheese twist but wasn't keen on anything else.
The products were all a good size portion.
As only the biscuits came in branded packets I can't comment on the others. I found the packaging boring and bland. The boxes on the ad look more appealing.

I wouldn't swap for anything my daughter currently has.

My son is 2. We tested bundle 1.

What did were your first impression on the product?
It looked like breadsticks with colours - probably vegetables, and fig roll type things.

My son's first impression was that he enjoyed the tomato breadsticks, and told me they were tomato. He tried but didn't like the fruity bake in Strawberry flavour, and his 5 year old brother gobbled the other 2 flavours very enthusiastically (which is unusual as he isn't normally one for fruity cake products).

What did you/your child think of the taste/texture?

He enjoyed the breadsticks. I have put these in his packed lunches since that first tasting and he has eaten them without issue. He likes to dip breadsticks and these have a good texture and will last under the pressure from wet dip.

He did not enjoy the fruity bakes, which was a surprise since he loves fruit of all kinds and it's often difficult to get him to eat other things. I tried calling it cake, then Mickey Mouse cake, but he still didn't fancy it.

What did you like about the format/pack size?

I think, depending on price point, there are good number of breadsticks in the packet. If there is only one fruity bake per pack, even if the price was really low, like 20p, I don't think I'd buy those. Also, if they're individually wrapped, I wouldn't buy them again.

What did you like about the Disney Kitchen packaging?

I don't think it's changed from the Disney Kitchen products available under the Annabel Karmel range at the moment? The disappointing thing about the packaging is that it doesn't carry through to the food. Once out of the packaging there is nothing at all to indicate that it's Disney, Mickey Mouse, or anything like that.

Would you swap your current brand to try Disney Kitchen?

Not unless there was a really good promotion.
