Many thanks for picking me to test these items!
Your first impressions: are you a Liz Earle beauty fan already?
I had heard of the legendary Cleanse & Polish, but never tried it.
What’s your regular skincare routine?
A bit haphazard tbh! I am in my 40s and a mum of 5, youngest 13months old, and my skin is pretty neglected. I usually use an Origins face wash in the morning, sometimes either a Neal's Yard or a Superdrug serum, then some sort of moisturiser with SPF. I have combination skin, that's dull and dehydrated. I know I should, but I don't really have a night-time routine (unless I've been wearing make-up, which is rarely).
On the products sent - what are your initial thoughts on the packaging, textures, instructions, smell etc?
I loved the packaging - it looks like a nice, premium product, but not overly pretentious! I especially liked the bag the cleanser & muslins came in, and also the pump bottle for the cleanser - it's more practical when in use - no faffing about trying to get lids on & off with wet hands covered in cleanser! I loved the smell of the cleanser (slightly "medicated" - in a good way!, but nice), and also the texture - creamy without being too thick. I also appreciated the in depth instructions on how to hot cloth cleanse!
The moisturiser - again, a nice, premium looking product, although I'm not too keen on moisturisers in jars - they're not very hygienic and can spoil once exposed to air, so would have preferred a tube or pump bottle. The texture was nice & thick, how I would expect a premium moisturiser to feel, but the smell was very disappointing. The product is described as "moisturiser with natural neroli", so I was expecting a fresh, natural, orangey neroli scent, but oh my goodness it stinks! It smells very strongly of flaxseed oil, almost a slight whiff of something fishy, and definitely no neroli at all! I was most disappointed in this, and actually think it's quite disingineous to put the neroli on the label as if this is one of the main scents. I had so been looking forward to using the moisturiser as well, so was very disappointed in this aspect.

Cleanse & Polish™
Would you say you noticed instant results with the Cleanse & Polish™? Please describe:
Yes, my skin instantly felt really clean & soft, with none of the tightness usually associated with a thorough cleanse! It definitely felt much healthier too, and I felt as if I had a nice "glow"!
Please award how many [stars] out of five (where 5 is excellent and 1 is very poor) for each of the below:
A natural product that works 4 (it is excellent, but not sure exactly how "natural" it actually is)
Suitable for all skin types 4 (I would say this would suit most skin types, although would possibly be wary if you have particularly sensitive skin due to the essential oils, and all the rubbing with hot water may irritate if you are prone to sensitivity, but otherwise it's fab!)
Simple to use 5
Would you recommend Cleanse & Polish™ to your friends? Yes!
Superskin™ Moisturiser with Natural Neroli
Would you say you noticed instant results with the Superskin™ Moisturiser? Please describe No, I actually found that this moisturiser was far too rich for my combination skin. The moisturiser was very thick & oily, and after application I was very much aware of an oily film on my skin. A few hours later it still didn't feel as if it had sunk in. In the morning my skin did feel better, but it was very oily and I couldn't wait to wash my face! I had to stop using after a few nights as I could feel some spots developing :(
Please award how many [stars] out of five (where 5 is excellent and 1 is very poor) for each of the below:
A natural product that works 3
Suitable for all skin types 1 (I would say this is suitable only for very dry skin types)
Simple to use 5 - it's a moisturiser - what's difficult about that?!
Would you recommend the Superskin Moisturiser to your friends? Only if they had very dry skin, and didn't mind the awful smell!
So, thanks for the opportunity to test these. I love the Cleanse & Polish, and am definitely a convert! My skin looks much better & feels lovely & soft, and I do feel like I am "doing some good" when I cleanse with it, so shall stick with this from now on! The moisturiser on the other hand was a disappointment. It was far too rich for my combination skin, although it is described as being for dry & mature skin, so may be better suited to people with that type of skin. The smell was also a great disappointment to me, but again, some other people seem to love it, so it's obviously a personal preference. I would be interested in seeing if Liz Earle had a moisturiser suitable for oily / combination skin to try (though would be wary of the smell!).
Thanks again!
