It smelt really lovely and fresh and it felt good to know I was using something that is better for the environment.

How well it cleaned my clothes and removed stains.

Mmm... the amazing smell. And I like that it wasn't as goopy as the fairy non bio that we usually use. It meant I was able to use a little less liquid quote easily and as we have soft water a little goes a long way.

• What surprised you the most about Non-Bio Concentrated Laundry Detergent?

That it worked well. We have resisted issuing eco washing powder as we were a bit uncertain it would work well as we have had some poor experiences in the past with eco washing up liquid (though ecover seem to have improved recently). Even with a stinky bucket of cloth nappies it was great.

• Are you a new convert to Non-Bio Concentrated Laundry Detergent?

I think so- we do pay slightly more for several other products we use so that we get eco friendly versions. I will look at getting it in bulk as that is how we currently get out washing liquid and it is much less wasteful.

• Concentrated Laundry Detergent? I love that it's cleaner and greener than my usual detergent, especially as I do so many washes! Love the packaging and the smell is just gorgeous.

• What surprised you the most about Non-Bio Concentrated Laundry Detergent? I wasn't surprised by anything but was quite happy with its performance, though it sadly wasn't able to remove tomato sauce stains from my boys' T shirts.

• Are you a new convert to Non-Bio Concentrated Laundry Detergent? I would certainly buy it again in a larger size if I spotted it on offer, but I would have to use a stain remover with it - probably my fault for having four very messy little boys!

- What was your favourite thing about using Ecover Non-Bio Concentrated Laundry Detergent?

The environmentally-friendly nature of the product. I've been getting more interested recently in this aspect of products.

- What surprised you the most about Non-Bio Concentrated Laundry Detergent?

I thought it wouldn't smell at all, or only very faintly, but it had quite a pleasant fragrance.

- Are you a new convert to Non-Bio Concentrated Laundry Detergent?

No. The eco-credentials are a big plus but it didn't do much for baby stains (non bio generally doesn't to be fair). It seemed to leave the washing a bit hard. And it's a bit pricey. I would probably use it if it was on offer, for lightly-worn things. If I had the space!

I'd used Ecover products previously and not found them effective, but this worked as well as my usual brand

The scent was lovely and fresh. The bottle will last a long time as you only need a little.

It did a good job of cleaning most things but some tough stains didn't shift. However it hasn't irritated my sons sensitive skin and that is more important to me than stain removal.

The smell, it was lovely.

- What surprised you the most about Non-Bio Concentrated Laundry Detergent?
That it was so highly scented. Most gentle washing powders (we usually use Fairy non-bio) seem to have a much more subtle smell. Loved the smell as per previous answer but it was surprisingly strong!

- Are you a new convert to Non-Bio Concentrated Laundry Detergent?
Unfortunately the price isn't really comparable to Fairy Non-Bio so we'll be sticking with that.

I normally use tablets but his woeked just as well. I do always use non bio however as I have two young children.

To add it is quite expensive compared to other brands so I probably wouldn't buy it unless it was on offer etc.

• Are you a new convert to Non-Bio Concentrated Laundry Detergent? No, mainly due to packaging concerns. I currently use the ecover non-bio powder which I buy in the paper bag bulk format. There is much less packaging this way. I can't see any difference in the standard of cleaning that would make me want to switch to a liquid. I would be interested in seeing a comparison between the environmental impact of producing and using a liquid detergent versus a powder detergent.

What was your favourite thing about using Ecover Non-Bio - Concentrated Laundry Detergent? - The fact that it's so eco friendly, makes me feel better about not wasting the earth's resources.

• What surprised you the most about Non-Bio Concentrated Laundry Detergent? It washed very well, everything came out fresh despite not having an overpowering scent.

• Are you a new convert to Non-Bio Concentrated Laundry Detergent? Yes, I will certainly look out for Ecover when I next need some more laundry detergent.

What was your favourite thing about using Ecover Non-Bio -Concentrated Laundry Detergent?

I try to be ecological as possible but haven't made the switch to laundry products as I haven't found them as effective as regular products in the past. I like that this detergent meets the cleaning expectations I have of none- ecological products. In fact I'd say that it was actually far better for my whites and doesn't appear to have dulled my colours. I have also used it on gentle care clothes and found it to be just as suitable as a special wool detergent - therefore if I were to use this product full time I personally wouldn't be buying 2 separate products.

What surprised you the most about Non-Bio Concentrated Laundry Detergent?

I was surprised at how well it cleaned and how fresh my whites looked. I have always avoided eco cleaning products thinking they couldn't possibly clean as well as regular products, having tried eco products when they first materialised many moons ago. I have a 7 week old and use cloth nappies (due to then being more economically friendly- ironic eh? ). The Ecover washing detergent cleaned them brilliantly - even that awful yellow staining poo babies produce! I've also tested it on red wine (that I dropped on said baby ) and it didn't get it all out- but mainly did, and a bit of sun cleared the rest.

I was a bit taken back by how strong the scent is, again I had always imagined eco products scentless. I felt it was far too strong when I opened the bottle, and while the clothes were drying- but the dry clothes themselves smell really nice- not overpowering at all, just fresh.

I have quite sensitive skin- react to all manner of things usually and have to be very careful which products I use on my skin and clothes. I was also nervous about trying something new on my baby's skin. However neither of us have had a reaction which I was surprised at- especially considering its scented.

I found that the suggested dosage was generous, and I could cut down without affecting the cleaning power.

Yes I think I am- and have already recommended friends try it too (I'm not sharing my free sample though! ). I will also be trying some of the other Ecover products. Thank you for asking me to take part.

What surprised you the most about Non-Bio Concentrated Laundry Detergent?
I could cope with the smell! Usually perfumed detergents give me a headache but the scent was really nice (as long as I used less than the recommended dose - I found that the recommended amount left the clothes feeling 'coated'). Fortunately I live in a very soft water area so can usually get away with smaller doses! Also it worked wonders on the sweaty sports kit - DHs kit normally still smells a bit after a wash (!) and this really worked well.
Are you a new convert to Non-Bio Concentrated Laundry Detergent? I would love to be but it's just too expensive for our budget. I will however be eking this bottle out for sports kit washes as long as is humanly possible and if it's available on offer will probably buy a bottle to keep kit fresh.

What was your favourite thing about using Ecover Non-Bio Concentrated Laundry Detergent?

It's nice and easy to pour and measure out! It cleans pretty well too. Not for the stubborn things, not with our water, but I usually add a scoop of Vanish to my whites for just that reason - I tested Ecover on its own. However, I also usually add softener, but didn't find I needed it with Ecover - clothes were soft and fluffy enough afterwards.

What surprised you the most about Non-Bio Concentrated Laundry Detergent?

The smell! I thought it was a bit strong in the bottle and didn't love it, but it was nicer on the clothes. But I agree with other MNers, I like the "clean laundry" smell and felt that was missing. I mean, it was a pleasant scent, just not a "fresh" one.

Are you a new convert to Non-Bio Concentrated Laundry Detergent?
Not for the price, sorry. We have a large volume of washing with two messy children under 5, frequent houseguests (bedsheets & towels!) and a sporty DH, so it's just not going to stretch as far as I need it to and I'd need to be buying it constantly. If it was just me and DH, I'd probably consider it. At the moment we get a massive box of voluminous powder once in a while, which does the job but is messy and takes up a huge amount of space (just like my toddlers!).

I'd see it as something to aspire to!

the smell! The one I use doesn't smell that much, but the Ecover smelled fresh and so nice!

That it worked well with no problems that I have seen getting stains out and that my kids and my skin has been just fine using it!

I really like it as a product, I loved the small bottle and the ethos of it being environmentally friendly. Only thing is the price, and so I'd be converted to it when it was on offer.

It has a very subtle scent. I am not a fan of very heavily perfumed laundry detergent, so this is good for me

As much as I was impressed with the results, I am not fully converted as I wasn't overly keen on the smell sorry.

What was your favourite thing about using Ecover Non-Bio - Concentrated Laundry Detergent? The lovely scent instantly grasped my senses. It left my laundry fabulously clean smelling wonderful and its sft and gentle against the skin.
What surprised you the most about Non-Bio Concentrated Laundry Detergent? I was suprised of how gentle it is. All natural products have converted me to use as regular detergent. No harsh chemicals that irritate our skin it is sensitive excema suffers in this house.
Imy laundry was clean, fresh and not irritable against the skin.

I also adored the fragrance. Its natural and fresh.
The washing liquid surprised me because it is so effective. It also is so gentle, which is reassuring when washing my children's clothes.
