The smell! It is really subtle but lovely.

• What surprised you the most about Non-Bio Concentrated Laundry Detergent?

I was worried that as a more natural non bio it wouldn't be as effective at stain removal. It says fantastic though. Got rid of grass stains, and bright blue ice lolly drips.

Yes! As long so it is reasonably priced I am a convert. My dc have terrible eczema and this caused no flair ups.

Update: further to rashfacegate, I thought I'd tracked down and re-washed all my twins clothes in Fairy, but a vest sneaked through and now he's all red on his back. 😳 It's not serious and is going down but I think I have to get the bottle out of the house now. Curiously it didn't cause any reaction in the rest of the family.

my favourite thing is the brand and what is stands for/strives to achieve. The smell was lovely too but i would have liked it a little stronger - personal preference. - What surprised you the most about Non-Bio Concentrated Laundry Detergent? I put the product to the test on cotbed white sheets & grass stained jeans. I was pleasantly surprised it cleaned both very well

I like the fact it is natural and that a little goes a long way. - What surprised you the most about Non-Bio Concentrated Laundry Detergent? That it cleaned so well. My 1 year olds clothes are often covered in food stains and they came out good as new. I wasn't keen on the smell though. It was ok but I want my washing to smell lovely. I don't think it will last either.

Not really. I think my washing smells fresher with my regular brand.

It has a beautiful floral fragrance and a very compact bottle with easy pouring lid.

• What surprised you the most about Non-Bio Concentrated Laundry Detergent?

It washed very well while being a natural product. The smell was nice in the bottle and you could smell it while the clothes were in the dryer but it wasn't a smell you associate with fresh laundry but that could be what is unique about this product.

• Are you a new convert to Non-Bio Concentrated Laundry Detergent?

I would love to be able to purchase this detergent because of ethos of this company and natural ingredients and have not had any problems getting stains out of the kids clothes. The only factor for me is the price I have 9 children ranging from 3 months to 17 years and we do on average 3-5 loads a day so wouldn't be feasible for me price wise. I am considering purchasing only for 2 of my children who have sensitive skin and mild excema to use as they didn't have any flareups while on this trial.

What was your favourite thing about using Ecover Non-Bio Concentrated Laundry Detergent?

It is an excellent compact size as my kitchen is very small! Also easy to take to recycling (I live in a flat so have to take downstairs and outside, big packaging a pain).

I was very impressed by the results on a white wash, removed stains and made bright.

Yes, I'd be interested to know if other fragrances available too. I love lavender but it makes me sneeze.

What was your favourite thing about using Ecover Non-Bio - I liked the strength of the smell, I find non-bios don't usually leave a long lasting smell so it was refreshing that this did. I think the clothes felt soft too.

A non bio with a smell that lasts and also it did bring up DD's potty training knickers clean which is good.

What was your favourite thing about using Ecover Non-Bio Concentrated Laundry Detergent?

The environmental credentials. It's never really occured to me to look for a cruelty-free, plant based detergent. Not sure I'd go back now!

Absolutely! I have to say lavender isn't my favourite synthetic fragrance however one capful didn't make my wash smell overly strong. I live in a hard water area so I ought to have used 1.5 caps according to the instructions. My load wasn't particularly dirty so one was actually sufficient.

I'd definitely seek out the other fragrances mentioned on the card

What was your favourite thing about using Ecover Non-Bio Concentrated Laundry Detergent?

My favourite thing was that it was in a handy size bottle that didn't take up much space but had a good amount of doses.

I was surprised that a non bio eco friendly laundry detergent would clean as well as it did.

I hate lavender so I wasn't keen on the smell. If it was on special offer with a different scent then I would be.

Definitely its green and cruelty free credentials. It also cleans very well.

What surprised you most about Ecover Non-Bio Concentrated Laundry Detergent?
How little you needed to use to get a good wash. However, this did mean that the lovely fragrance wasn't as obvious to me on the clean washing.

Are you a new convert to Non-Bio Concentrated Laundry Detergent?
I'm not sure I could afford to use it for all my laundry, but I will definitely look out for it on special offers and stock up when I can.

The powerful fragrance. Neither myself nor DH like it.
That said, it cleans very well - better than previous Ecover laundry products that we have used I think

I would consider other fragrances but wouldn't get this one again.

I love how it left our clothes feeling soft and fresh. I also love the fact that it is friendly to the environment! Always a bonus!

It got rid of many of the stains from my boys' (age 4 and nearly 2!) clothes! And they are mucky monsters! I found I didn't have to use as much stain remover as usual, although it didn't remove Daddy's five-a-day Bolognese first time which was a shame!

I would definitely buy it if the price was right or if it was on offer as we get through so much washing that it would cost a small fortune!! (Which is a shame as I preferred it to my usual washing liquid).

I really liked how bubbly the washing looked mid-cycle and loved how clean and soft the washing felt.

How well it tackled tough school uniform stains! I thought a green product might lack some effectiveness but this has not been the case at all.

Definitely. My daughter has very sensitive skin and the change has been great for her too.

What was your favourite thing about using Ecover Non-Bio Concentrated Laundry Detergent?
I really liked the packaging. The handle on the side of the bottle was really useful, it poured well and didn't spill. The instructions on how much to use were really straightforward (one cap or one and a half caps depending on the size of load). This is perfect for getting my daughter to start using the washing machine.

What surprised you the most about Non-Bio Concentrated Laundry Detergent?
The stain removing power of an eco detergent was really impressive and wasn't what I was expecting if I'm being honest. Whites were really white and it got a huge dollop of fajita seasoning mixed with salsa off my husband's jumper (after it had dried in for a day or two while we were away!).

If the price is competitive, I will be. As it stands, it's probably too expensive for me but I'd definitely try it if it was on offer and I'd also consider trying other Ecover products based on this test.

I also liked that it was so easy to pour.

• Are you a new convert to Non-Bio Concentrated Laundry Detergent? Yes absolutely, I'm going to switch to everything in their range.

Favourite thing - it smelt really fresh and clean. I usually don't like scented laundry products but did like this one.

What suprised you - it was very difficult to pour into the cap and out and it did spill a lot.
Good suprise was that it got everything clean. Two DCs that had been gardening!

Are you a new convert - Yes but wouldn't buy at the price advertised

I also loved the smell! It's not overpowering and it smells 'natural' rather than of chemicals. It reminded me of my childhood in France for some reason. I also loved that it got rid of stains on my newborn's clothes. I love ecover's ethos and I am trying to make my kitchen and bathroom 'greener', so I liked the fact that it doesn't contain phosphates and the bottle is made of recycled plastic.

• What surprised you the most about Non-Bio Concentrated Laundry Detergent?

I was surprised by how compact the bottle is and how little detergent is used. I was also surprised by how well it seemed to work compared to my regular washing powder. The liquid is thinner than usual, and I didn't think it would be that efficient.

• Are you a new convert to Non-Bio Concentrated Laundry Detergent?

I definitely liked this product and would buy again as well as recommend, but as others, it really depends on price. I am happy to pay a bit more for environment-friendly products, but I don't have a massive budget.

I liked the smell - fresh, clean and long lasting but pleasantly different to the smell of most laundry detergents.

The cleaning power was great on stains (nursery paints/felt tips/tomato/grass and mud) even at low temps, and the softness of the washing.

Yes, it's abit expensive so I will continue to use on bedding/towels/delicates ect but unless on offer I can't justify using on the regular daily amounts of toddler/baby washing at the moment

The scent. It was a lovely fresh smell that didn't overwhelm and lasted a short while, may be a day or 2. I don't like the really chemical smells last last all week.

What surprised you the most about Non-Bio Concentrated Laundry Detergent? I used ecover many years ago and found it couldn't cope with the stains my dc got covered in. This time there's only been on stain that's not come out first time and all my clothes have been done on an eco/cold wash so I've been very impressed with its cleaning power.

I think I might be, price will be the deciding factor though.

- What surprised you the most about Non-Bio Concentrated Laundry Detergent?
Two things really, the first being how well it cleaned the laundry, I wasn't expecting it to be up to scratch but everything came out clean (though we haven't had any poonamis or tough stains to content with during the testing period). The second was the smell. I normally avoid scented products so I was a bit disappointed to see this was one but was pleasantly surprised once I had used it. The smell left on the laundry was lovely and fresh but, most importantly, it was a very mild scent.

- Are you a new convert to Non-Bio Concentrated Laundry Detergent? If it was just down to me then I would consider it after using the rest of the bottle. However my other half would prefer to use capsules for ease of use, especially as we've found that after using the cap to measure the detergent, it then leaks down the side of the bottle and makes a mess in the cupboard.

Thank you for sending the sample, I have been itching to try this for a while now, but could never justify buying it in case I didn't like it!!

It cleaned the clothes well, I washed the baby and toddler clothes and my own with it, I tried dhs work clothes but very little takes the dirt out of them.

I'm surprised by how good the cleaning properties were, I thought eco stuff wouldn't be anywhere near as good, but it was fine for the kids and my clothes.

I just didn't like the smell unfortunately, I use a lot of non bio in the house, and most don't have a smell, the fairy does and its lovely, but I don't like the smell of this product, I think it would be better to not have any at all. If they bring out a different scent I might try it and then I'll be a convert.

I loved this washing liquid! I must confess that my heart sank when I saw it was lavender scented, I hate the smell of lavender! Initial impressions weren't great as the sandlewood was very overpowering kind of like a cheap aftershave but it drowned out the lavender at least Post wash, the smell was completely different - fresh and subtle.

What surprised you the most about Non-Bio Concentrated Laundry Detergent?

Stain removal, I have a toddler and a primary aged child who both come home filthy and this even beat the "filthy clothes bagged up in a nappy bag" nursery challenge! Best of all there was no reaction from anyone's skin (3/4 of the family have sensitive skin).

Are you a new convert to Non-Bio Concentrated Laundry Detergent?

I am a big fan of the product and would definitely buy it if it was at a price that was acceptable for our shopping budget.
