  1. What are your thoughts on the smell of Fairy Non Bio gel?

It smells fresh & clean. Not too over powering.

  1. How well did you feel Fairy Non Bio gel cleaned your clothes?
It did a good job.
  1. Would you say Fairy Non Bio gel leaves clothes soft and gentle on sensitive skin?
Yes, just before I received the fairy non bio gel I had switched to powder (different brand) as I'd heard it's better for the machine. Both husband & daughter came out in a rash which has gone now I'm using fairy.
oldjacksscrote · 13/03/2017 14:57

I love the smell, it's very natural and not too over powering or purfumey.

It washed our clothes quite well, managed to get raspberry stains off the baby clothes but didn't quite manage the chocolate ice cream all down my toddlers top.

All the clothes came out lovely and soft and my son, who has very sensitive skin got in really well with it.

  1. I absolutely loved the smell of this! Smelt really fresh and clean and the fresh smell was still there when you put something on that had been in the wardrobe for a few days.
  1. Unfortunately it didn't quite manage to get the mud stains out of my sons football kit. They were dried in though so pretty tough stains to shift.
  1. Clothes felt really soft and nice after washing, particularly those that had then gone into the tumble dryer.

  1. What are your thoughts on the smell of Fairy Non Bio gel?
I recognised the smell straight away. It's comforting and familiar. Rather fresh.
  1. How well did you feel Fairy Non Bio gel cleaned your clothes?
Better than I expected! I'm the type to overdo detergent and using a non-bio worried me a bit, but I have no complaints.
  1. Time will tell with regards to the sensitive skin question, but so far, things look good. It's certainly left clothes soft and fresh.

Thank you!

  1. What are your thoughts on the smell of Fairy Non Bio gel?
Fresh but not too overpowering!
  1. How well did you feel Fairy Non Bio gel cleaned your clothes?
Did a very good job on toddler stained clothes!
  1. Would you say Fairy Non Bio gel leaves clothes soft and gentle on sensitive skin?
My daughter, husband and I all suffer with sensitive skin and none of us have had a reaction to this so that's a win all round!!
lorribaby · 13/03/2017 15:42
  1. Smells lovely, instantly recognisable.
  2. Washes well at all temperatures.
  3. Excellent for sensitive skins and newborn. Have used the powder also and all are equally as good.
StickChildNumberTwo · 13/03/2017 15:54
  1. What are your thoughts on the smell of Fairy Non Bio gel?
I don't dislike it, but it seems washing detergent is something where I'm very much a creature of habit so it just smells 'wrong' because it's different to my usual brand. Perfectly nice, but wrong!
  1. How well did you feel Fairy Non Bio gel cleaned your clothes?
Seems to do a perfectly good job of clothes and nappies.
  1. Would you say Fairy Non Bio gel leaves clothes soft and gentle on sensitive skin?
All seems fine - we don't have any specific skin problems in our house apart from a bit of mild eczema, and it's been fine for us all (including nappies on the smallest one).

I found the measuring thing in the cap hard to decipher, and personally would have preferred instructions in words as well as pictures but I realise pictures are more inclusive. I liked how easy it was to measure out sensible amounts of the gel (far better than the odd occasion when I've used liquid), but I prefer sticking powder in the drawer and forgetting about it rather than having to fish out the gel dispenser at the end (and not lose it!)

I don't think I'll be switching, mainly because of the smell....

MummySurgeon · 13/03/2017 16:32

Just tried out the Fairy Non Bio gel for washing my newborn's and 15 month old's clothes.

  1. What are your thoughts on the smell of Fairy Non Bio gel?
Came out smelling clean, with a subtle fragrance. Other Non Bio's I've used usually end up smelling of nothing - I personally much prefer having a fragrance and love that "laundry just washed smell" myself, so if anything, if it could be made stronger, I'd prefer it, but equally if that was at the risk of affecting my little one's skin then I could live without it.
  1. How well did you feel Fairy Non Bio gel cleaned your clothes?
Pretty good - I always think non bio's might not be quite as tough on stains as biological detergents but the Fairy Non Bio gel probably did better than most other Non Bio's I've used. There were a few stains that it didn't manage to get out completely (well first time at least - may be it will with another wash) like orange juice and mud/dirt on a cream sock when my toddler decided to walk outside without a shoe on(!) but performed pretty well really and as I mentioned, better than other Non Bio's in my experience.
  1. Would you say Fairy Non Bio gel leaves clothes soft and gentle on sensitive skin?
My toddler has eczema and her sensitive skin was absolutely fine when we used Fairy Non Bio gel so top marks on the gentle front. I have a newborn and so I don't want cardboard like clothes being put against his baby soft skin and I have to say the clothes came out lovely and soft, more so then usual I think (and that's comparing to previously used Non Bio's and even Bio's!) so full marks there!
sianishere · 13/03/2017 16:53
  1. What are your thoughts on the smell of Fairy Non Bio gel?
I love the smell, it's a classic, clean smell.
  1. How well did you feel Fairy Non Bio gel cleaned your clothes?
Not as well as bio with stains, but for general laundry it cleaned well.
  1. Would you say Fairy Non Bio gel leaves clothes soft and gentle on sensitive skin?
Fairy Non Bio gel leaves clothes feeling very soft. My eldest has eczema and I am due a new baby in a few weeks and I am happy with how soft everything is for their delicate skin.
Spottyladybird · 13/03/2017 17:03
  1. Clothes smelt fresh and clean, didn't use fabric softener and didn't need it.
  1. Generally clothes came up beautifully clean. Tested it on a baby poo explosion and that remained stained on the vest.
  1. I've always used Fairy powder and this seems just as soft and gentle. No rashes or irritated skin.
Newmum022016 · 13/03/2017 17:19

I really liked the smell, was pleasant without being overwhelming. I also thought it cleaned really well although I still needed to use stain remover on tough stains which I expected. I also think it's good for sensitive skin which I have so have to be careful what I wash with. However one thing I did find annoying was that you couldn't tumble dry the gel holder (although I know this is the same with other similar products) so I kept having to take it out and then tumble dry the clothes rather than put it on automatic. I also seemed to go through the bottle fairly quickly - I think it'll have probably lasted me just over a week.

Lambhenry · 13/03/2017 18:49

The smell is nice nd fresh. It cleans as well as the supermarket powder I was using. I don't know about sensitivity as baby has just developed a skin issue, but suspect it is not the gel that caused it. I have three main concerns. Firstly, it's expensive and I need better value. Secondly I'm concerned about biofilm build up in the machine if I use a gel. Thirdly I've read that bio products are just as safe for skin and clean better, so I prefer to use a bio powder I think. Smell is great though and might buy if on offer.

billybear · 13/03/2017 19:23

thanks for choosing me love testing products. 1 smells lovely fresh but not over powering, 2 do mainly 40c washes got lots of stains out hubby very messy worse than the kids, no stains remained evan on a 40c wash great result, 3 very soft after using it , no problem with sensitive skin , both kids have sensitive skin no problem after using this a really great result, will buy it again

gggg1 · 13/03/2017 19:49
  1. What are your thoughts on the smell of Fairy Non Bio gel?
I loved it. It smelt clean and gentle and wasn't overpowering. Not as synthetic as some over washing powders and liquids.
  1. How well did you feel Fairy Non Bio gel cleaned your clothes?
Very good results, marks and stains were removed first time. No residue that you sometimes get when using powder.
  1. Would you say Fairy Non Bio gel leaves clothes soft and gentle on sensitive skin?
Yes. My son has a few small patches of eczema which I think were caused by using a different biological powder, Fairy has not aggravated his skin at all and the patches are reducing.

I thought Fairy non-bio gel was great and I will probably buy another bottle when this one runs out. Thanks for letting me take part.

Hopelass · 13/03/2017 19:49

1. What are your thoughts on the smell of Fairy Non Bio gel?
I thought it smelt very nice.

2. How well did you feel Fairy Non Bio gel cleaned your clothes?

It cleaned my 5 month olds poonami vests and 3 year olds paint splattered nursery clothes brilliantly.

3. Would you say Fairy Non Bio gel leaves clothes soft and gentle on sensitive skin?

Both my children and myself suffer from eczema and this gel is perfect for us. No reactions from our sensitive skin.

foxessocks · 13/03/2017 20:15
  1. What are your thoughts on the smell of Fairy Non Bio gel?
Really nice but not too strong
  1. How well did you feel Fairy Non Bio gel cleaned your clothes?
Did a good job everything looked very clean!l
  1. Would you say Fairy Non Bio gel leaves clothes soft and gentle on sensitive skin?
Yes it has been fine on my sensitive skin and on my babies skin too
PurpleCrazyHorse · 13/03/2017 20:20

1. What are your thoughts on the smell of Fairy Non Bio gel?
The smell is pleasant and not too strong on the washed clothes

2. How well did you feel Fairy Non Bio gel cleaned your clothes?
Food stains came out well as fresh dried blood (on coloured clothes). Whites also seemed clean but they were only lightly soiled. Unfortunately we haven’t yet had a really stained white item to give it a big test.

However, our 7yos high backed booster cover did not wash well with the Fairy. There were still lots of marks left on the cover, pretty much the same as it was when it went in. It looked much cleaner after a good dollop of stain remover and a re-wash. Not sure if it was the fact the stains have been well worn in that meant they were difficult to remove. They were only drink stains so nothing really awful.

3. Would you say Fairy Non Bio gel leaves clothes soft and gentle on sensitive skin?
Seems to leave the clothes soft and I haven’t noticed a reaction on either of the children. Our 2yo DS does have sensitive skin and he’s been fine.

EmilyRosanne · 13/03/2017 20:26

. What are your thoughts on the smell of Fairy Non Bio gel?

I normally use Fairy powder and I found the smell of the gel much stronger after the clothes are dried and being worn which is a positive as Iove the smell of Fairy!

  1. How well did you feel Fairy Non Bio gel cleaned your clothes?
It couldnt shift any of the baby food/baby poo stains through the wash but they can be tough to shift. General washing came out clean at 40 degrees.
  1. Would you say Fairy Non Bio gel leaves clothes soft and gentle on sensitive skin?
Both DC have ecsthma prone skin and neither have shown any reaction since using the gel
Orangepear · 13/03/2017 20:40
  1. What are your thoughts on the smell of Fairy Non Bio gel?
It was fine. People rave about the scent of Fairy products and I hadn't tried any before so I was expecting to be wowed. I wasn't wowed but it was mild and pleasant.
  1. How well did you feel Fairy Non Bio gel cleaned your clothes?
Really well - I usually use bio powders so I was sceptical a non bio gel would match them but no problems at all.
  1. Would you say Fairy Non Bio gel leaves clothes soft and gentle on sensitive skin?
I washed my 3 year old's comforter the first time I tried it and when I gave it back to her she said it felt hard, so that was a bit disappointing. We live in a very hard water area and I usually use fabric softener though.

You haven't asked about packaging but I found the dosing cap really annoying! First of all I couldn't read the instructions on the bottle add the text was tiny then I couldn't read the level markers in the cap, I had to get DH to look. It was also annoying to fish it out of the machine afterwards, it just seemed unnecessary.

Thanks for letting me test it!

  1. What are your thoughts on the smell of Fairy Non Bio gel?
It has that clean, fresh just done the laundry smell. There is no particular smell in terms of floral/ fruity or perfume so well trusted for my child's sensitive skin.
  1. How well did you feel Fairy Non Bio gel cleaned your clothes?
It cleaned it well - the evidence was in the results afterwards. Clothes were out of wash looking, feeling and smelling clean & great.
  1. Would you say Fairy Non Bio gel leaves clothes soft and gentle on sensitive skin?
Yes - my son has sensitive skin so I can attest to this. He wore the washed clothes and no complaint since.
ThePug · 13/03/2017 21:00
  1. What are your thoughts on the smell of Fairy Non Bio gel?
Smells like 'new babies' Grin Nice subtle, non-artificial / chemical type smell
  1. How well did you feel Fairy Non Bio gel cleaned your clothes?
Great cleaning results - I put my one year old's clothes in on a 30 degree wash and they came out perfectly clean
  1. Would you say Fairy Non Bio gel leaves clothes soft and gentle on sensitive skin?
Yes clothes are nice and soft, but we also tumble dry which softens them too I find. We've had no issues with sensitive skin but always pick 'sensitive' versions of laundry products, bath products, wipes etc.

  1. What are your thoughts on the smell of Fairy Non Bio gel?

Smells lovely and fresh and clean.

  1. How well did you feel Fairy Non Bio gel cleaned your clothes?

Very well, tried a number of different washes, colours, whites, towels. Also cleaned up my DH's muddy biking gear brilliantly.

  1. Would you say Fairy Non Bio gel leaves clothes soft and gentle on sensitive skin?

Yes, no problems at all. My husbands skin is fairly sensitive and no complaints

NurseKeegan · 13/03/2017 21:24
  1. What are your thoughts on the smell of Fairy Non Bio gel?

Clean and fresh. Nothing too overpowering.

  1. How well did you feel Fairy Non Bio gel cleaned your clothes?

Very impressed for a non-bio. My washing machine is never off and I'm definitely more partial to a gel over a powder. Pippa's clothes are much cleaner after washing with Fairy than my usual detergent!

  1. Would you say Fairy Non Bio gel leaves clothes soft and gentle on sensitive skin?

Definitely, Pippa's clothes are notably softer and her towels no longer feel like cardboard when dried, yay! She thankfully doesn't have sensitive skin but I do and so far it has been very kind to mine! Highly recommended.

GettingScaredNow · 13/03/2017 22:06

1. What are your thoughts on the smell of Fairy Non Bio gel?
I didn't like it, although the gel is much better then the powder. I also found it faded away quite quickly.

2. How well did you feel Fairy Non Bio gel cleaned your clothes?
very well, they felt soft and clean.

3. Would you say Fairy Non Bio gel leaves clothes soft and gentle on sensitive skin?
yes, they were definitely soft, and my skin didn't react like it sometimes can.

joeyhanmum · 13/03/2017 22:43
  1. What are your thoughts on the smell of Fairy Non Bio gel?
Really nice, the best of the various gels I've tried.
  1. How well did you feel Fairy Non Bio gel cleaned your clothes?
Really well - daily stains like mud and food came out and I also tried washing the dog's terrible smelly towels and they were much cleaner than capsule washes have been.
  1. Would you say Fairy Non Bio gel leaves clothes soft and gentle on sensitive skin.
We are lucky that none of us have particularly sensitive skin but all good so far and clothes and even much washed aforementioned dog towels came out soft.

Recommended - I've already bought a large bottle as it was on offer. I'm using a fairly old machine and I'm not sure the temperature is what it should be as capsules don't 'melt' properly so gel seems to be the way forward.
