The play room is my least favourite place to vac, I knit in there so there is often small bits of wool, the cat relaxes there lots of cat hairs, then all the junk from the kids.

I hate hoovering the stairs with a passion. They are odd shaped in our house.

DramaInPyjamas · 08/11/2016 13:08

Non tester unfortunately.
Least favourite room is DDs bedroom. She has the box room( tiny little space that our massive old vaccum doesn't fit inside it!!) so has the least carpet, but it takes twice as long due to having to clear up the millions of loom bands, hamma beads left lying in all the tiny nooks and crannies.

Bonkerz · 08/11/2016 13:10

My worst room to clean is my conservatory. I am a childminder and this room is used as toy storage and is where the children take shoes and coats off. In winter it's full of mud and leaves from dirty shoes and in summer it's covered in sand and suncream. It gets dusty and dirty quicker than I can clean it! A hand held machine would make life so much easier! #pickmeplease

For me, the stairs are my least favourite (most hated) area of the house to vacuum.

Firstly I have to tidy all the clutter left on them by my husband Sad.

Once clear, about 7 stairs up we have a mini landing to tackle. It's where the dog (Labrador) likes to sleep, so that's always tricky getting all the hairs stuck in the corners with our large upright vacuum cleaner.

Then, I hate running up and down the stairs to switch plug sockets once I've vacuumed half way and the cord runs out (so annoying!).

I really need a handheld model, but my husband says he's going to divorce me if I buy another vacuum cleaner Angry (I'm always on the quest for the ultimate cleaner to tackle pet hair and toddler crumbs).

OhIfIMust · 08/11/2016 13:15

Non tester - has to be our kitchen / dining room / playroom. The combo of bits of food / mess from weaning purées, Lego and tiny bits of dried play doh are a challenge to any vacuum cleaner!

IcaMorgan · 08/11/2016 13:15

My living room as the rug takes 1/2hr by itself to hoover

Lisasm21 · 08/11/2016 13:15

The kitchen because I always finish and then find another bit of food that my weaning baby has thrown somewhere

daisyduke66 · 08/11/2016 13:17

Non Tester- definitely the stairs!😣

NurseKeegan · 08/11/2016 13:17

Without doubt - the bane of my life is our hall, stairs and landing. We moved into our new house 3 days before my waters broke and all DIY and interior design plans went out the window. Eight months down the line, I still haven't got round to lifting the old carpet, especially on the stairs. It's like an optical illusion due to the carpet design. I think I've got the carpet clean (our vacuum isn't the greatest) and then two seconds later and upon closer inspection, it's back to being a magnet for a weath of crumbs and hair! Nightmare! We could really really do with a handheld, it would make my life that little bit easier, and our carpet a whole lot cleaner!

thesoupdragon44 · 08/11/2016 13:19

I hate doing the stairs as I have to unplug half way down!

OodleDoodleBug · 08/11/2016 13:22

Worst place to hoover? Anywhere my children have been! I swear they breathe out crumbs.

Failing that, the stairs for sure. Very steep and narrow.

Sylviasmothersays · 08/11/2016 13:23

I hate hoovering the wooden floors as I'm constantly switching between rug setting and floor setting. They also always seem to need hoovering much more often than the carpeted rooms (or maybe that is only because I can SEE the dirt!)

PyjamaInducedApathy · 08/11/2016 13:24

My kitchen. The dogs hair piles up in the corners and it's difficult to get under the chairs and table.

whirlywhale · 08/11/2016 13:24

Non tester: My least favourite room to vacuum is the bathroom as I always get an electric shock! doesn't matter what vacuum I use it always happens. I make dh do it instead lol Grin

PiaMaria79 · 08/11/2016 13:25

Non tester - the front room, we have a white wool rug that sheds fluff when our 3 kiddies run around and play, it gets everywhere. Plus it takes forever to clear the floor out so I can start!

SmileyShazza · 08/11/2016 13:27

My least favourite place to vacuum is the master bedroom. Firstly it's up three flights of stairs and carrying the hoover up there is hard work and secondly it has super thick pile carpet which takes a lot of vacuuming to make sure all the fibres are cleaned thoroughly.

PB01 · 08/11/2016 13:29

Non Tester - least favourite room........anywhere the kids have been!!! I swear it's like following the trail of Hansel and Gretel. My worst room ever is the kids sitting room. We have recliner chairs and they seem to be a magnet for everything small and sticky. I don't know how the kids manage it but it is a nightmare trying to remove a million crumbs that have been crushed in the mechanisms of the chairs. Disgusting......scared to put my hands in........

Cambam2010 · 08/11/2016 13:30

My least favourite room to vac is the bathrooms. I live in a rented house and unfortunately the bathroom, downstairs loo and ensuite are all carpeted, which with a 6yo DS is not ideal. I hate these rooms as the head of the vacuum is too big to fit in the gaps between the toilet base and the sink and the toilet base and the bath so I have to use the on-board tools and the extender pole (I have an old Dyson). These just do not pick the dirt up as good as the rotating brush on the main vac.

LadyFuchsiaGroan · 08/11/2016 13:32

Non tester - the stairs are particular challenging my vacuum is so heavy it is a nightmare to lift. Downstairs is a faff too, dd toys seem to be getting smaller and smaller and I dread that rattle of something going up the hoover, hate sifting through all the dirt and cat fur to find a small (and usually vital piece of playmobil).

Onehellofascare · 08/11/2016 13:35

The landing because the vac seems to blow the dirt everywhere up there Confused

FlouncingInAWinterWonderland · 08/11/2016 13:43

The deck outside. It's only a small area and undercover, sheltered on three sides so dry. It's a magnet for dirt and tiny bits of grit. Because of the grooves in the deck boards it's really hard to sweep so I started using the vacuum. It's better, but still annoying because its a clutter zone and lots of toys/ plants/ pots etc to move to do a proper job.

mando12345 · 08/11/2016 13:43

Non tester here.

I hate most vacuuming the stairs.
Light carpets and a black labrador, great combination, and she likes to sleep on the stairs!

Hufflepuffin · 08/11/2016 13:44

Under the kitchen table! So many chair legs in the way.

Jessicar9593 · 08/11/2016 13:44

The playroom as always has trodden in sticky things & bits of toys embedded and always end up treading on the Lego
