Back to the test, the team at Kobold say “compact, unbeatably handy and extremely powerful, the Kobold VK200 Upright Vacuum Cleaner is the ideal addition to your household, making life easier and cleaner.
Designed by global German household appliance manufacturer Vorwerk, the Kobold VK200, in combination with two different attachments, takes care of all your floor cleaning needs. Whether it’s carpets or hard floors – the VK200 Homecare System has it covered.
The unique SP530 DuoClean head allows you to mop and vacuum at the same time – a world first! It uses just 100ml of water to cover up to 20 m² of hard floor. And the best part? Simply remove the cleaning cloths when you’ve finished and pop them in the washing machine ready for next time.

“The EB400 brush head meanwhile ensures vacuuming is thorough, gentle and hygienic – driven by its own motor, a special rotating brush scans the floor 16 times per second and removes dirt and dust completely. Even the finest dirt particles do not stand a chance!

I hate cleaning the bathroom! Not big enough to use the big hoover properly and too many corners!

melfly · 08/11/2016 12:50

I dont really have a least favourite I hate hoovering anywhere! Stairs are awkward, dining room covered in food, playroom full of toys, bedrooms are probably easiest! So there I have favourite place to hoover instead haha!

jes73 · 08/11/2016 12:50

Nooks & corners!!

TheCompanyOfCats · 08/11/2016 12:52

My least favourite is the landing because it is so far away from a plug socket!

JungleRunMama · 08/11/2016 12:53

My least favourite place to vacuum is the car. It is hairy and muddy due to the dog (and yes we do have covers but still....). It is always a hassle as I have to use 2 extension cords out of the living room window, and across the garden to just about reach the car. The car door cannot be opened wide due to the narrow street and parking issues and the vac doesn't quite reach the other side so have to move the car. It is always a bit of a twisty struggle. Probably why it is always muddy!!

mrsbunnyw · 08/11/2016 12:54

Least favourite is the bathroom - it is always covered in dust and hairs, but is so fiddley I can't get into all the tight spaces, and also I have to wait until DH carries the hoover upstairs for me as it is too heavy.

Fluckle · 08/11/2016 12:54

I hate vacuuming the lounge. We've been infested with cellar spiders and the little blighters like to hide in the crevices in our wooden floors and jump out at me when I'm trying to suck up all their webs. Eight legged cobweb creating gits.

Given that I now have to vacuum under tables and behind curtains in order to stand a chance in the war of me v spiders, a handheld vacuum would be brilliant. I have a vision of myself looking like one of them women out of Ghostbusters...Though obviously Kobold and MN can't be held responsible for any failure to meet this expectation Grin

VelvetThunder · 08/11/2016 12:54

It's hard to choose just one room, but I guess it would be the living room. All of the toys from 2 children under two to pick up, plus two dogs and then us two adults. Mess tends to build up so quickly and gets under the sofa and everywhere so it's a nightmare.

CMOTDibbler · 08/11/2016 12:55

My least favourite is our bedroom as theres a lot of bed which should be cleaned under, but instead accumulates fluff as its a right ballsache to get right under the bed.

mrsbunnyw · 08/11/2016 12:55

Non-tester!

Karanew · 08/11/2016 12:55

Hate the stairs so time consuming and always loads of tiny bits on them nightmare job!

DaisyDando · 08/11/2016 12:55

I don't like doing the living room because of skirting boards and other horrors.

Iggity · 08/11/2016 12:57

Bedroom floor, navigating under bed storage is a nightmare.

ProseccoBitch · 08/11/2016 12:58

My least favourite room to vacuum is the sitting room - it's a wooden floor with thick, deep pile rugs.

Shiraznowplease · 08/11/2016 12:58

It has to be under my sons mid sleeper cabin bed which he uses as a den, I end up on all fours crawling through a narrow space to make sure all those pesky crumbs are gone. Being s large size 16 I am sure all that crawling and trying to squeeze my self into tiny spaces makes this the worse place to vacuum

Archiesmummy1 · 08/11/2016 12:59

I dislike vacuuming the stairs, it's awkward with my upright, especially since i have a stair gate to navigate around too.

MilkyMamma · 08/11/2016 13:00

Non tester:

I hate vacuuming the car! Especially after our (white) dog has been in it! Shock

Pughnichi · 08/11/2016 13:00

Non tester here, but the worst place is the dreaded STAIRS! I have a carpet runner down them, with wood either side! Means I have to wash and hoover and the dust and dirt builds up quickly on the wood bits when usually you'd get away with it longer if it was all just hidden in the carpet 😳

But having said all that, it looks gorgeous with a rubber so I battle on regardless. 😂😂

JoolsSchmools · 08/11/2016 13:00

My least favourite is my husbnads fishing cupboard!
Lots of little pellets, hooks, bits of fishing line and yes the odd maggot crawling around Shock

KnottedAnchorChief · 08/11/2016 13:00

The stairs. We have very twisty narrow stairs with no room to manoeuvre the vac, so frustrating. Unfortunately the middle landing bit of the stairs is where the dog likes to lie and so regular vacuuming of dog hair is a must (otherwise I frankly wouldn't do it!)

Non tester
My least favourite place to hoover is my hall and stairs. With 2 kids, 3 cats and a massive husky/collie this has got to be the area with the most traffic.

There is 2 small landings one with that cat food which is always getting knocked and the other has a litter tray on it which always has litter kicked everywhere so I am hoovering 3/4 times a day with a massive hoover.

MissElphabaThropp · 08/11/2016 13:03

Non tester here, the kitchen as we have a mat down (there's no heating in our kitchen and it has a stone floor, and quite fundamentally we can't afford to do anything to the non functional eyesore it is) to try to stop us freezing our feet off, and no matter how well you think you've hoovered both the floor and the mat, once you put it down it looks grotty again.

CatThiefKeith · 08/11/2016 13:03

Non Tester - Least favourite place to vacuum is the stairs.

They have a left turn at the top with two wider steps. I have a black lab that likes to lay on those and a black cat that likes to lay on the other 12.

I have a Dyson Animal that is fantastic on level floors, but my stair carpet is constantly covered in black fur and the Dyson is too wieldy to get it all up. I spent at least two hours a week with cheap wet wipes trying to get into the corners to get it all up. Angry

shortbreadsharon · 08/11/2016 13:03

I hate hoovering my long hall, stairs and top landing as it's right at my front door. It has a permanent path of dirt and debris trailing from room to another thanks to wellies, bikes, dog and dh's work boots. I'd love to win this Hoover as my hall has 1 clean part which is hidden under the runner, the rest is a darker, hairier version of what it once was. To be able to wash floors at the same time seems like a dream come true.
