The stairs! Always the stairs! When we bought this 3 storey house I totally didn't factor in how much I hate doing them. I now have an extra set of them compared to most other people. They don't get cleaned as often as they should do to be honest.

Tonkatol · 08/11/2016 13:49

My least favourite place to vac has to be my bedroom. Not only do we have three dogs that sleep on the floor of our room at night, and 8 cats sleeping either on the bed or on the floor, my bedroom seems to be the one that attracts the cobwebs and the spiders - my absolute worst nightmare!

Whynotnowbaby · 08/11/2016 13:52

Non tester - I hate vacuuming full stop but I think the stairs are my worst, with a clingy baby I'm just aware of him screaming while I struggle to rush up and down to get back to him.

CurtainsforRonnie · 08/11/2016 13:53

Stairs are the worst as always covered in cat hair.

leanneth · 08/11/2016 13:55

Non tester: least favourite place to vacuum is definitely the kitchen- moving the table really annoys me!

Cosmia · 08/11/2016 13:56

Currently hoovering anywhere is a nightmare as our previously dozy cat has turned into a trained killer, intent on ridding the world of mice. He is clearly very pleased with this newfound skill and likes to deposit the trophies/corpses about the house. Which means that a quick hoover through can turn into an episode of CSI as I stumble across mummified mice and then have to remove whilst trying not shriek.

WheresLarry · 08/11/2016 14:02

Non-tester: my least favourite place to vacuum is the kids bedroom. There is usually a variety of dolls, dolls clothes and jewellery scattered across the floor, the piece of the puzzle that we previously couldn't locate, a single sock and a pair of pants discarded in the corner. The vacuum usually ends up with more if my daughters clothes in it than the chest of drawers.

DeepestDarkestRiver · 08/11/2016 14:12

Non-tester:

Seems ridiculous, but underneath the kitchen table. Sweeping sends the crumbs flying (we have a lot of slippery floor space), and I often lament, as I lug out the full-size hoover yet again, that a hand vac would be so much easier. My DSs only need to enter the kitchen and floor seems to be covered in crumbs again Hmm.

caz1967 · 08/11/2016 14:15

my least favourite place to vac is the stairs, being ill its very difficult for me to carry the vac along to hoovervthe stairs, as well as having a stairlift which makes it evan more awkward.

CaroleService · 08/11/2016 14:18

Inside the sofa - down the crevices and under the cushions. It's a massive faff to put the hose and the crevice tool onto the hoover, only outweighed by the horrors I find within: crushed crisps, ancient raisins, unidentifiable things that may be cat-related

Starfish78 · 08/11/2016 14:21

Non tester.

My least favourite place to hoover is my downstairs-its open plan so it includes the lounge, dinning room and kitchen. Apart from a rug it's all wooden floor. There's constant dog hairs, crumbs, little toys and shoes (that all need putting away before I can even start!!) mud from work boots, saw dust from my daughter after she's been out to see her rabbit, all on the floor. The rug seems to be our dogs favourite spot so it takes forever to hoover and the wooden floor just means that as soon as the hoover is near it, any crumbs, hairs, fluff etc just blow all over the place, driving me mad.

Ballysbabe · 08/11/2016 14:22

Least favourite room to vac is by far my sons room 😞Always a plethora of god knows what, crisps wrappers , yogurt pots alsorts of discarded bits and pieces. And stains of an extremely sensitive nature. 😂😂😂

HamletsSister · 08/11/2016 14:23

Non tester here.

Least favourite place to vacuum has to be the kitchen. A mixture of dust, crumbs, wet, damp, sticky.......Ew!

We usually sweep, then vacuum, then mop. A massive hassle!
Hope I win.

Least favourite place is definitely the stairs and under stairs cupboard! The car is pretty backbreaking too!

Anj123 · 08/11/2016 14:24

I hate doing the stairs, but I also hate mopping the kitchen floor so I love that this machine can do hard floors too!

CathyGlynn · 08/11/2016 14:25

My worse place to Vac is the stairs, the lead is never long enough to go from top to bottom and it is hard to try and hold the hoover whilst using the pipe.

Fluffywuffyunicorn · 08/11/2016 14:30

My least favourite place to vacuum is the sofa and chair. Crumbs and cement dust in every nook and cranny, thanks to Dp! The couch is a massive hulk of a thing, that just pulling the cushions is a work out in its self let alone the cleaning part!

ChorusLine69 · 08/11/2016 14:31

It's a toss up between the stairs and the living room as its full of DS toys and I have to tidy it every day so I can Hoover the crumbs off the floor!

Thisdayilove · 08/11/2016 14:35

I hate having to vacuum the playroom. Other than having to move the furniture, I cannot quite get behind the large storage box and it is too heavy to move. Then there is the Jumperoo to negotiate, plus the models the kids are in the middle of building. Not to mention the rug. Oh and there is always that 1 bit of Lego you accidentally suck up, but then you have to stop to empty to find out what it was that made that noise. Takes forever!

passremarkable · 08/11/2016 14:37

Hoovering... euch. My living room is a multi purpose space - dining table, play area, art space... there's a plethora of debris to move when commencing the dreaded task. Definitely my least favourite room.

Pigeonpea · 08/11/2016 14:42

Non - tester
The Kitchen - it needs doing at least three times a day, it's tiled and as much as I mop, hoover, or sweep, I'm sure I don't get up all the dirt

OhHolyFuck · 08/11/2016 14:43

Non tester - either the living room p, having to heft my huge machine round furniture and toys etc or the kitchen just because of how mucky it gets

jo4chelsea · 08/11/2016 14:44

Living room we have a rug and it seems to attract the tiniest crumbs !!

jo4chelsea · 08/11/2016 14:44

MummyBtothree · 08/11/2016 14:55

Non-Tester : I absolutely loathe vacuuming the bedrooms, the only way of doing it thoroughly is to literally shift all the furniture which just isnt practical to do that often. I hate doing the kids rooms, I am always vacuuming up bits of lego etc!.
