We have been asked by the team at Vorwerk to find 10 (lucky) Mumsnetters to try their latest Kobold VK200 vacuum cleaner and report back on MN!

They say “compact, unbeatably handy and extremely powerful, the Kobold VK200 Upright Vacuum Cleaner is the ideal addition to your household, making life easier and cleaner.
Designed by global German household appliance manufacturer Vorwerk, the Kobold VK200, in combination with two different attachments, takes care of all your floor cleaning needs. Whether it’s carpets or hard floors – the Kobold VK200 Homecare System has it covered.

The unique SP530 Duo Clean head allows you to mop and vacuum at the same time – a world first! It uses just 100ml of water to cover up to 20 m² of hard floor. And the best part? Simply remove the cleaning cloths when you’ve finished and pop them in the washing machine ready for next time.

“The EB400 brush head meanwhile ensures vacuuming is thorough, gentle and hygienic – driven by its own motor, a special rotating brush scans the floor 16 times per second and removes dirt and dust completely. Even the finest dirt particles do not stand a chance!

“Visit kobold.vorwerk.co.uk to find out more about the Kobold VK200 vacuum cleaner and discover the array of clever additional accessories that turn this machine into the Ultimate Homecare System! Simply click and swap to the attachment you need to expertly deal with upholstery, furniture, mattresses, textiles and anything else you need cleaned. Built to last, the Kobold VK200 is the only vacuum cleaner you’ll ever need”.

Selected testers will be sent the Kobold VK200 to use in their own home and asked to share feedback on a thread on Mumsnet. We’d be looking for at least three lots of feedback plus photos of the vac in action. Those selected will be asked to share their first impressions as well as follow up feedback after it has been used a few times. Those selected will also need to add a review on MN.

Prior to use, each selected tester will receive a visit from a representative from the team at Vorwerk who will do a personal demo of the machine in the tester’s own home to ensure the features are fully understood.

If you’d like to be considered, please sign up here and we will be in touch with selected testers soon Grin.

Best of Luck

This would be great! I find it tough finding time to clean and mop and Hoover the floor 3-4 times a day with a messy toddler and 2 young boys one whom has SEN and often makes daft messes around the house! This vac&Mop in one would make it a breeze to clean up after them!

Does anyone know when we find out if we have been selected?

No there doesn't appear to be a deadline for reviews etc. Good luck!

This sounds interesting I would love to see how light it was compared to my current Vax. The Vax does the job but I feel like I've had a full arm day at the gym after hoovering the house. I've found previously that vacuum cleaners tend to just blow the dirt around as much as pick it up on hard flooring, it's interesting this says that it's just as efficient on all flooring. Definitely would like to see how it stacks up against the dog hairs too!

Well done Bing Bong.

So.. what bagless hoovers would you recommend folks? I know meile are often recommended here, but I don't think a vacuum that uses bags would keep up with the aforementioned dog hair & I would prefer an upright.

I've been picked to test it too. I never thought I'd get so excited about a vacuum cleaner but it does look brilliant!

Found out I got picked after all afternoon stuck in traffic on the M5 with two children in the car! Definitely lifted the spirits.

Thankyou so much! I've been selected! I'm so excited! Both my Henry and my steam mop gave up over the summer (note.... Henry does not like sucking up socks!)

I've been selected but only just seen the email - have new phone and have had problems with it since Friday when the email was sent out. Will be gutted if I'm too late.

Gutted, is anyone blogging a really good review? Would love to read an in depth review with some photos and videos as half our house is hard floors, half carpet. With kids, dogs and cats could really do with something like this so if it performs like it does would seriously consider investing!

I will do an in depth review for you! I've just got it today, I have carpet, tile and wooden floors in my house and 2 small kids so I will be as detailed as I can, with pics as well. Just look out for the feedback thread and I'll post it all there. So far I really love it, I managed to hoover and mop the kitchen with it in about 5 minutes, the floor is spotless

Had my demo today too and I love the duo head. Usually takes an hour to vacuum and steam my downstairs, all done in 10mins and we got in the car for an afternoon trip to Kenilworth Castle with the time saved. The sound of the motor even sent our 16mo to sleep!

I've nearly filled a bag though, which is pretty scary as I vacuumed with our Dyson last night.

Fantastic first impressions here too. I'd vacuumed a carpet on Friday and after vacuuming the same section on Saturday with the Kobold I nearly boaked when I saw the crap it lifted up (the demonstrator had a test cartridge that you replace the bag with). We're getting the house entirely re-floored (carpets and tiles) next year and I'm only ever going to use this product, to keep everything totally clean.

Glowing first impression here too! Dd is rather fond of swishing around in a glittery elsa dress so my floors were constantly covered in the stuff no matter how much I cleaned them.... we are now sparkle free from just one quick hoover. Even my ex was impressed and nothing impresses him!

PurpleCrazyHorse · 31/10/2016 10:40

I'm still admiring my floors this morning. No more getting annoyed trailing dirty buggy wheels across the dining room, or muddy shoes (which is always the case the day after I've vacuumed and steamed), instead I just whip the Duo out and it's done in minutes and dry very quickly after. Sadly I'm waiting for more mess so I can get it out again (thought using it daily was a bit OTT).

I can't wait for unannounced visitors now. If only the Kobold tidied up too, then I'd be sorted Grin
