I tested both the cream and spray on my 21 month old son and myself on a blazing hot beach and playing in the garden.
Both the cream and spray covered well. The cream did feel a little sticky for a while after application but both lasted well. I found it more difficult to apply the spray to my little boy as he's a bit of a wriggler and I think it's probably easier for older children. Most importantly my son has a current flare of his eczema due to the warm weather and neither the spray or cream exacerbated it! I would recommend both to fellow mums.

We tested the suncream when we went for a picnic in the park.
Although the spray is handy I found I needed more of it than the lotion and it was difficult to get out the bottle after a few sprays.

I found the lotion to be easy to apply and it seemed to go further than some other lotions I have used. I go between Asda children's brand and nivea. I didn't find any faults with the products. My boy who has eczema had no reaction which was great and no one got sun burnt. I would definitely consider using this in the future.

We tested the Kids suncream and the ultra-sensitive range. I used the kids version on my 2 year old, and my 7 year old who has eczema tried out the other one. We used them for a day out in the park, and for applying before school.

I was pleased that my 7 year old didn't react to the sensitive cream, as her eczema is worst on her arms and legs where we applied it. However, I found neither cream absorbed as well as my normal brands, and I felt the spray bottle needed some kind of contoured grip to stop it slipping through my fingers. Also, I was disappointed that the creams both stained the light-coloured tops my daughters wore, so for these reasons I wouldn't consider buying the Solero range.

Q1: When and where did you test the sun cream?
On myself (heavily pregnant and with subsequently v sensitive skin, and on my 2 year old in the garden and out and about (nursery, with relatives)
Q2: How did you think LloydsPharmacy Solero compared to the brand you normally use?
Really good absorption, didn't feel greasy, 2 year old enjoyed helping to put it on. Only major difference was the one I usually use on my 2 year old is coloured so it's easier to confirm coverage when applying it. Other than that, very impressed. And my husband commented on something smelling really good and it turned out to be our daughter as she'd just had some cream put on!

I tested the suncream at the weekend, when the children were playing in the garden and at the park, and also used it for school & playgroup. We used the kids spray on the three children and the triple defence cream on my husband and me.

I found both them both easy to apply, especially the kids spray, and they sunk in easily. However, both were a bit too greasy / oily for my liking compared to the suncream I normally use (a powder dry one for the children). I found that even some time later our skin felt a bit greasy.

Q1: thanks to the lovely heat wave we've had the past week we tested both spray and cream every day for the week
Q2: really liked the spray but would prefer a higher spf and 5star rating. The cream went on easily was think but applied well. Nice smell and kept little one safe in the sun. Much prefer this one as its 5star but love the ease of a spray. May purchase in the future but wouldn't say is switch exclusively

Q1: When and where did you test the sun cream? We tested it on Sports Day in Hampshire, its was hot and sunny all day.

Q2: How did you think LloydsPharmacy Solero compared to the brand you normally use? It prevented us from burning and was sticky as our usual brand but was easier to apply. We tried the lotion and the spray. I preferred the lotion as it was slightly thicker and easier to use than the spray. Both children preferred the spray and were able to use it themselves. We thought it lasted well for a non all day product. There was no shade today so the sun was a relentless test and the lotion held up well.

We tested the suncream in the back garden and a couple of park visits. I used it on my 5 year old son who has excema and also my 2 year old niece with sensitive skin who usually comes up in a rash with sunscreen.

We liked the suncream a lot - it absorbed really well into both kids skin. Neither of them came up in a rash and I am going to purchase more. I used the spray for sensitive skin and sprayed straight onto my son and it was easy to use. The fragrance was nice and light - I usually use tesco kids suncream or boots own brand kids but this was far better. Thumbs up from us - its the suncream we have been looking for.

Q1: When and where did you test the sun cream?
Before school and in the garden.
Q2: How did you think LloydsPharmacy Solero compared to the brand you normally use?
I liked the smell and the feel of it on the skin though I found it hard to spray after applying the first lot as my hands were slippy and and could get a good grip. I didn't like that you need to reapply every 1-2 hours, with 3 kids I would constantly be applying the cream. Its cheaper than my usual brand but my usual brand lasts all day and we have never burnt using it. The reapplying would make this dearer I think. I don't think I'll be buying this product in the future.

We used this at home in the garden and for school.

It was ok. It worked in terms of sin protection but it's very sticky and I felt sticky all afternoon. The smell isn't too bad which is always a massive plus

Q1: When and where did you test the sun cream?

At home in the garden. It was pretty sunny.

Q2: How did you think LloydsPharmacy Solero compared to the brand you normally use?

I liked it and really liked the spray. I also liked the lack of smell. It was pretty easy to apply and did not feel to greasy. The price is good too. Lots to like here.

Q1: When and where did you test the sun cream?

In the garden and the paddling pool.

Q2: How did you think LloydsPharmacy Solero compared to the brand you normally use?

I don't normally use suncream, I prefer to try and keep my children out of the sun when it is at it's hottest. I think that for the UK 50 pfp is too high and they really need the vit D...

Thanks for the opportunity to test though.

Q1: When and where did you test the sun cream?
I used the sun creams today during a long afternoon in and out of the sunshine at a farm/zoo park.

Q2: How did you think LloydsPharmacy Solero compared to the brand you normally use?
I have recently started using the nivea roll on 50spf suncream which has been brilliant - the roll on is fun for my nearly-3 year old, applies easily and is quick to rub in. By comparison the children's spray by Lloyds took longer to rub in, was a little more sticky and was less easy to control. By the nature of a spray it didn't spray exactly where I wanted it to every time which is why it says don't spray directly onto the face I suppose. Even so, my daughter still enjoyed it being applied and we had no complaints once it was on and rubbed in. There was no sheen and I didn't worry about efficacy once applied. The adults version I tried was a fairly standard cream; irritating to apply by hand, but once rubbed in it was fine. It didn't take long to rub in and a quick wash removed the small amount of residue left on my hands.

Overall, if competitive on price I would consider purchasing both, although if lloyds created a roll on version that also had 5 star ratings I would be more inclined to use it. The lack of a five star rating is off putting.

We had a spray and a lotion. The spray was good and my fussy toddler let me apply it. The lotion was fine but a bit too thick for me. Like the trial-size bottles - I'd much rather have 3/4 X small bottles each summer than these big ones which are a hassle to lug around then go off before you're halfway through!

Q1: When and where did you test the sun cream?
We tested them all week in the very sunny south west. We used them throughout the day at the beach, garden, moors and swimming at outdoor pool.
Q2: How did you think LloydsPharmacy Solero compared to the brand you normally use?
Very good, easy to apply and no hint of sunburn or irritated skin.

Tested out in the garden in the UK.very hot day with brilliant sunshine!

The two products tested were 1)The Kids Ultra Sensative Sun Spray factor50.
2)The Solero moisturising Sun Lotion factor 30
Both worked extremely well in protecting us all from the Suns harmful rays.
Great to apply, loved them both.Pleasant smell, didn't stain ,soaked into skin quickly & easily.
A little more expensive than our usual sun protection from Garnier but yes I would buy it 🌞😎💕

Q1: When and where did you test the sun cream?
On a couple of days last week, out for a walk and in the garden. Used on me, a 4 yr old, 2 yr old and my partner.

Q2: How did you think LloydsPharmacy Solero compared to the brand you normally use?
We tried the ultra sensitive cream and kids ultra sensitive spray. I feel that overall both products worked well protecting our skin and my son and partner didn't react to either, a huge bonus. The cream seemed a little thicker and needed to be rubbed in more, whilst the spray seemed thinner and was easier to apply and rub in. I thought the packaging was fairly simple but nice, good travel sizes too. Not sure about the smell though, there seemed to be an alcohol-like smell straight after being applied, but this seemed to go away soon after. The cream we usually use has a 5 star UVA rating, whilst the Solero range only has 3 stars - this would put me off buying it in the future, but only for this reason.
Thanks for the opportunity!

Q1: When and where did you test the sun cream?

I tested the kids spray on my son before going out on a play date in the park during an unexpectedly sunny week in Scotland, and the triple defence on myself on the same day, on my chest and shoulders.
Q2: How did you think LloydsPharmacy Solero compared to the brand you normally use?
I liked the lighter texture of the kids spray compared to the Nivea that we have been using, though I thought it felt a bit sticky. I have been using the Ladival on myself which is also a triple defence, and much preferred the Lloyds to this as it isn't shiny. They both seemed to do the job in terms of sun protection, though would have liked a higher UV rating on the kids one

Q1: When and where did you test the sun cream?
We tested the suncream this week in the UK pottering in the garden, going to the nearest town and playing in the park. Two of the days had direct sunshine and were about 22 degrees. The third day was more overcast. We tested the cream on myself and on toddler ds.

Q2: How did you think LloydsPharmacy Solero compared to the brand you normally use?
I tried the cream and the spray. I liked the smell and the ease of application for both. However the cream, at spf 30 was too low for me and I would only consider buying it at a much higher spf (pale, freckled skin with multiple moles.)
The spray was easy to apply and my toddler liked it. However I would prefer a brand which allows for less frequent application for him: the instructions of applying, then applying again after 15 mins of sun exposure, then again every 1-2 hours would prove cumbersome on a day out.

Thanks for giving us the opportunity to test.

Q1: When and where did you test the sun cream?
I tested the sensitive suncream last week, applying it to my face before work. I gave the Kids one to DD, who used it at school on Sport's Day.

Q2: How did you think LloydsPharmacy Solero compared to the brand you normally use?
I liked them both. The sensitive took a while to absorb, leaving my face quite shiny. I had to eave it for a few minutes before adding BB cream and make-up.
The Kids one went on well, was easy for DD to apply and absorbed well.
I usually use suncreams that claim to be 'once a day' applications, but I don't trust them so still top up.
I would buy suncream from a Lloyd's Pharmacy if I was passing one and remembered, but the teen DDs weren't so keen on the shininess or how long it takes to soak in. Best for younger children I'd say.
£7 a bottle is average, but many stores do BOGOF, so the price would have to be competitive.

Q1 we tested it last week when we went to the beach to the park and also in the garden.

Q2 I usually buy Nivea all in all I prefer the consistency of the Lloyds one and also the smell it doesn't smell of much and that's nice in a sun cream as it doesn't make your perfume smell strange , the Lloyds one also has better staying power in my opinion probably because it's thicker than the one we normally use but I quite like that as I know my sons are well protected .

Q1: When and where did you test the sun cream?
I used it on my DDs for school/nursery and at the park

Q2: How did you think LloydsPharmacy Solero compared to the brand you normally use?
I thought it was slightly stickier than my normal brand (soltan), but as it is significantly cheaper I would still buy it as the stickiness is a minor point. The only thing for the kids spray was the actual spray pump was too difficult for my 4yo dd to press down so she couldn't apply it herself which sometimes they are expected to do at nursery/school.

Q1: we tried the product at home when we were out in the garden last week. We tried it over the course of 4 days. It was very hot and sunny.

Q2: I liked it. It wasn't as thick as our normal brand (Nivea) so I was initially concerned that it wouldn't work properly but there was no red or pink so it did the trick. It was easy to absorb and didn't find it stick after application. I'm not sure where my nearest Lloyds pharmacy was but if I can find one nearby will definitely buy again.
