The team at Pampers have just launched their brand New Baby-Dry nappies! They’re looking for 500 MNers & their LOs to be some of the first in the country to try them & share feedback on Mumsnet and Pampers.co.uk.

Here is what they've got to say: "Night-time is a busy time for your baby – and those precious hours of Golden Sleep sleep aren't just important for their mood, but development, too! With experts believing that wetness may impact your little one’s sleep, their overnight nappy needs to work as hard as possible; introducing New Pampers Baby-Dry with 3 Absorbing Channels! Pampers are launching an upgrade to UK parents’ #1 nappy choice: New Pampers Baby-Dry feature a revolutionary nappy design with 3 Absorbing Channels, that distribute wetness more evenly, and Micro Pearls™ that lock it away. For up to 12 hours of Golden Sleep and less wet bulk in the morning! Pampers Baby-Dry have also been proven to be up to 2x drier than ordinary nappies; so, with babies waking up as dry in the morning as the night before you’ll be left asking ‘where did the pee go?’

You can read more about the nappies here

This is open to all UK MNers who have a baby currently wearing one of these nappy sizes:

Size 3: 4 - 9 kg / 9 - 15 lbs
Size 4: 7 - 18 kg / 15 - 40 lbs
Size 5: 11 - 25 kg / 24 - 55 lbs

Selected testers will receive a free pack of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies in their chosen size.

Testers will need to be available to test their pack of Baby-Dry starting from the end of May, so please only apply if you're available at that time.

Everyone who takes part will need to do three things

  1. Share their feedback on to a thread on Mumsnet AND
  2. Add a review on MN AND
  3. Complete a short survey from Pampers (we will email you the link)

All testers who share feedback as required will be entered into a prize draw where one Mumsnetter will win a £300 John Lewis voucher.

I've used pampers baby dry overnight on my 20mo for months but he seems to have an awful rash all of a sudden? Put him in a cloth nappy last night in desperation and it's cleared up overnight. Now it's gone will try again tonight with the pampers...

YorkieDorkie · 21/06/2016 09:35

Been using them overnight to test the 12 hours.

I have to say I'm assume that the 12 hours of dryness must mean the nappy won't leak in that time - I was more hoping that the nappy would feel dry(ish) to touch overnight so as not to disturb my baby's sleep. It doesn't.

I am still waking DD at 10-11pm when we go to bed to change/feed and so the nappy is actually only on for about 8 hours.

Positives: feels very light and fits well. No leaks overnight at all, seems to hold a hell of a lot of liquid. When it's on it goes nicely up the back to protect from explosions. When checking the nappy after 1 wee it did seem to feel dry to the touch of the baby's skin.

Negatives: I still have my doubts that the nappy would be containing everything if I left it 12 hours. I don't really find it acceptable to say "up to" 12 hours dryness. 1 hours is "up to" 12 hours and that's wholly unacceptable. It's either 12 hours dry or it's not.

I'll await the feedback thread for a proper review when I've finished the pack.

I've used all the sample nappies and they are great! Thinner and lighter than the old design. When will the feedback thread be ready?

feedback thread now live!

Ok I have made a couple of comments on this thread but my full feedback is -

I have always used baby dry for previous DC and current baby so I am directly comparing the old ones with these new ones.

I like the fact they are thinner. However I do feel that has come at a cost of the nappies not being as absorbent. With the new ones we have had more leakage and also an overall dampness on my baby's skin. The fit doesn't seem as comfortable, I'm stretching them a lot more to do them up, yet using the old ones in the same size it's not an issue. They do seem stronger though, as the old ones quite often snapped at the tab when I pulled them to do them up. That hasn't happened with the new ones despite more pulling!

The worst thing is the smell! I definitely never had this with the old ones. The smell has been so bad on a couple of occasions I have thought in the night baby had pooed, only to find it was the nappy smelling. In the morning the smell is awful, which makes me worry exactly what it is causing that.
