The team at Pampers have just launched their brand New Baby-Dry nappies! They’re looking for 500 MNers & their LOs to be some of the first in the country to try them & share feedback on Mumsnet and Pampers.co.uk.

Here is what they've got to say: "Night-time is a busy time for your baby – and those precious hours of Golden Sleep sleep aren't just important for their mood, but development, too! With experts believing that wetness may impact your little one’s sleep, their overnight nappy needs to work as hard as possible; introducing New Pampers Baby-Dry with 3 Absorbing Channels! Pampers are launching an upgrade to UK parents’ #1 nappy choice: New Pampers Baby-Dry feature a revolutionary nappy design with 3 Absorbing Channels, that distribute wetness more evenly, and Micro Pearls™ that lock it away. For up to 12 hours of Golden Sleep and less wet bulk in the morning! Pampers Baby-Dry have also been proven to be up to 2x drier than ordinary nappies; so, with babies waking up as dry in the morning as the night before you’ll be left asking ‘where did the pee go?’

You can read more about the nappies here

This is open to all UK MNers who have a baby currently wearing one of these nappy sizes:

Size 3: 4 - 9 kg / 9 - 15 lbs
Size 4: 7 - 18 kg / 15 - 40 lbs
Size 5: 11 - 25 kg / 24 - 55 lbs

Selected testers will receive a free pack of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies in their chosen size.

Testers will need to be available to test their pack of Baby-Dry starting from the end of May, so please only apply if you're available at that time.

Everyone who takes part will need to do three things

  1. Share their feedback on to a thread on Mumsnet AND
  2. Add a review on MN AND
  3. Complete a short survey from Pampers (we will email you the link)

All testers who share feedback as required will be entered into a prize draw where one Mumsnetter will win a £300 John Lewis voucher.

Please sign up here if you'd like to take part.

Thanks,
MNHQ

I'm with Alien. Tried them for 3 nights now and they're not doing anything Tesco isn't doing, plus they're tighter. My daughter is no where near the top end of the weight range either.

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 14/06/2016 19:07

Yep size 5 is tighter and not as much give than my aldi sz4+ and my lo is lower end I of sz5 weight range

DomesticAnarchist · 14/06/2016 19:08

Are we allowed to say "well, they're nappies and the hold wee and poo in as well as the next one"?!

Natsai1 · 15/06/2016 11:12

Received my pack on Saturday. Like everyone one else, No email though so don't know where to put review. Noticed that these nappies are a bit thinner and softer than my usual. Haven't noticed much difference to my regular Aldi nappies in terms of staying dryer overnight. Must say for a thinner nappy it seems to hold a lot and not as bulky when full.

FoodPorn · 15/06/2016 15:19

Another one saying please please can we have the feedback thread / survey etc.? Flowers Flowers The nappies were later coming through that the original post said and I am going away on Saturday and won't be writing nappy reviews while on holiday!

LoserDust · 16/06/2016 09:20

Haven't noticed much difference so far other than they are a little more snug than our usual nappies (and DD is only a dainty little thing)

smileyfacehalo · 16/06/2016 12:13

Fab nappies love them, we r doing the product test. It amazing they are thinner than usual nappies but really really absorbant and can cope with quite a bit!

Sleepingbunnies · 16/06/2016 12:57

Very happy with them. They last my 4 month old for a 12 hour overnight stint! Last time I used pampers was 7 years ago and I had problems with the gel / crystals escaping and sticking to my baby's bum! These are a vast improvement!!

TormundGiantsbabe · 16/06/2016 19:16

We have been using these nappies since Monday all was going well until today as my Dd has developed an itchy rash after wearing these nappies overnight. We usually use cloth nappies and never had any problems but she has scratched her bum raw since taking this nappy off her this morning.

It's a shame as they are very absorbent, we've had no leaks and they are of course miles thinner than our usual cloth nappies, but I don't want to put them back on my Dd now.

CheeseEMouse · 16/06/2016 21:03

Mine have gone missing. Went to the post office today with the red card and someone else managed to pick them up at the weekend. Not sure how that happened and the post office weren't much help enlightening us either!

glueandstick · 17/06/2016 19:12

We've used all of ours now. Waiting for the feedback thread! They are ok- a lot thinner but have a 'damp' feeling when full.

Haven't done anything that Aldi don't do and in fact had our first leaks with them. They seem a lot smaller than other brands.

Not sure I would buy them as the cheaper ones do just the same (and in fact a little bit better). I will hand it to them that they are soft and thin.

glueandstick · 17/06/2016 19:15

Also, during the night the design on them makes it difficult to work out which way round they are. I'm not at my best in the middle of the night and it would help if the back and front was easier to differentiate!

JuxtapositionRecords · 17/06/2016 20:35

We have always used Pampers - to be honest I'm not sure what has changed with them apart from being thinner? All the packaging says is 'new formula' or whatever the wording is. They seem to be just as same as the old ones apart from being thinner at first. I will say however in the morning with a full nappy they smell awful, maybe just my gassy baby??

alien11 · 17/06/2016 21:03

juxtapositionrecords nope I agree! They stink.
glue haha my dh put it on the wrong way round the other night! I still put it down to it being his first nappy change since she was born..

MamaBerg · 18/06/2016 06:08

I usually use baby dry over night but im really disappointed with these! Every night ive used them ds has had a damp vest in the morning. Back to the old ones and hes fine. Dont know what to do if these are here to stay the old ones are much better

Sundaysmumisfullofwine · 19/06/2016 06:58

I like that they are thinner - take up less room in the bag, can't see much other difference though

snowymum12 · 20/06/2016 06:51

I completely agree with the other testers. The nappies seem rather snug when compared with my usual brand. We're testing the size 5 nappies with an (almost) 2 year old. It's the first time I've had to change her damp pyjamas in the morning for a very long time. I had really high expectations too. I've found that the nappies have a rather odd smell, even when dry.

2boysnamedR · 20/06/2016 11:21

I quite like these compaired to the other pampers. They seemed to spread the bulk and didn't sag. That's one downside of normal pampers as although they do the job the gel does travel down to the bottom and it looks like your baby has massive hemeroids...Grin

Mindfulofmuddle · 20/06/2016 12:43

Used Pampers exclusively for DS1 but haven't used them since I switched to shop's own brand for DS2 around 2 years ago.
Having tested them, I have to say I still really like them.
We tested size 5, and they are very thin and light (which must be more comfortable to sleep in) and are also very soft feeling. The absorbency was great, no leaks after 12 hours.

CountessOfStrathearn · 20/06/2016 12:57

Coming to leave some notes for me to check back on when the feedback survey/thread is posted because we're done with them.

I'd definitely agree with others on the size, which did seem small compared to our usual (own brand Tesco). Also there wasn't much material spare at the top for overlap at the tabs. They were nice and dry but can't say that they were any better (certainly no worse, size aside) than Tesco own brand.

BrickInTheWall · 20/06/2016 14:35

Any news on a feedback thread? Our last nappy from the pack is on right now! Plus I didnt receive the email that someone posted above.. hope that doesnt mean I will be missed out of email with feedback link info.

LoserDust · 20/06/2016 23:18

Finished with ours today. They were fine and would happily use them again but unsure if I was impressed enough to switch from our usual nappies (Tesco own brand)

Main thoughts - very thin and light. Was dubious about how absorbent they would be because of how thin they were but they worked brilliantly and no bulky nappy. DD seemed very comfy in them at night

Cute design although a little confusing - I did go to put them on back to front a few times!

Snug fit - my DD isn't big for her age at all but I did notice a lot less 'give' in the fasteners than her usual nappies

No leaks but quite a damp feeling (I only noticed this on first nappy when she woke up. Sleeps 7-7:30ish so fair enough I suppose

Overall they were good nappies. The thinness of them was a great feature but not enough to make me think it was worth paying that extra.

LoserDust · 20/06/2016 23:23

Also yes to a very odd smell! Thought it was just DD being a bit pongy for whatever reason - perhaps not
