Were you aware of Pedigree® dog food before taking part in this product test? If so, have you ever purchased it before?
Yes I was aware of pedigree before the test and have purchased the pouches
Q2. What are your overall impressions of the Pedigree® Complete Feeding diet your dog tested? We’d love your thoughts on the complete diet as well as the individual products.
I was amazed at what arrived and how much I had to feed my dog. The treats are a bit small for my dog but the dental sticks are great the complete biscuits are larger than my dog usually has so I thought she would not like them but she eats them all
Q3. In future, how likely are you to consider regularly feeding the full Pedigree® diet that your dog tested to your dog? If not the full diet, which particular products would you consider and why?
I will be considering the full range in future it just depends on the cost
Q4. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pedigree® to other dog owners? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes I would recommend the other dog owners as the quality is good
Q5. What were your overall impressions of the Pedigree® Tracks app?I thought it was OK for new owners but not for me
Q6. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pedigree® Tracks to other dog owners? If so, why? If not, why not?
If I thought they needed advice the yes I would

Yes, I have used it before.

Q2. What are your overall impressions of the Pedigree® Complete Feeding diet your dog tested? We’d love your thoughts on the complete diet as well as the individual products.
The app was quite useful in helping how much to feed my dog. Gave her a combination of dry and wet food which went done very well within seconds Wink

Q3. In future, how likely are you to consider regularly feeding the full Pedigree® diet that your dog tested to your dog? If not the full diet, which particular products would you consider and why?
Yes I would very likely carry on with the pedigree dry food diet while the wet food pouches are a bit pricey.

Q4. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pedigree® to other dog owners? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes my Daisy really enjoys it.

It was very good as it gives you an idea how much to feed the dog and how much exercise she should be getting too.

Yes, as mentioned on Q5.

Q1. Were you aware of Pedigree® dog food before taking part in this product test? If so, have you ever purchased it before? I was aware of Pedigree before, having fed it to our previous dog. We had tried Jeffrey (current dog) on pedigree when we first got him, but his system didn't take kindly to it - possibly due to the fact that he was barely more than a puppy at the time.
Q2. What are your overall impressions of the Pedigree® Complete Feeding diet your dog tested? We’d love your thoughts on the complete diet as well as the individual products. He loves it all. Normally Jeffrey isn't a fan of dry food, but whenever he has this in his bowl he will empty it as quickly as possible (usually he's a picker with food in his bowl all the time) The pouches are definitely a hit, and the dentastix are his morning treat. I'm not convinced the latter are actually doing his teeth much good, and his breath is definitely worse, but 3 YO DD enjoys the morning ritual and Jeffrey certainly does!
Q3. In future, how likely are you to consider regularly feeding the full Pedigree® diet that your dog tested to your dog? If not the full diet, which particular products would you consider and why? Like I said, DD loves the morning ritual of giving Jeffrey his dentastick, and the food seems to be going down a treat. I can't see any reason so far to stop feeding him affordable food that he enjoys.
Q4. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pedigree® to other dog owners? If so, why? If not, why not? I would. Like I said, it's very affordable (especially when it's usually on offer at one of the big supermarkets) and it hasn't had any horrible effects on Jeffrey so far - no wind or runny bums for us thankfully.
Q5. What were your overall impressions of the Pedigree® Tracks app? It looks very flash, and I'm impressed that they actually had Patterdales on the list of breeds! The amount of food suggested seems about right for Jeffrey's appetite. The app is easy to use, and has lots of useful information.
Q6. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pedigree® Tracks to other dog owners? If so, why? If someone told me they were considering switching to pedigree, I would probably recommend the app so they could easily change their dogs diet without worrying about it.

Q1. Were you aware of Pedigree® dog food before taking part in this product test? If so, have you ever purchased it before?

Yes I was aware of Pedigree. I've purchased some pedigree products before but not the pouches or dry biscuits.

Q2. What are your overall impressions of the Pedigree® Complete Feeding diet your dog tested? We’d love your thoughts on the complete diet as well as the individual products.

I'm actually a lot more impressed than I thought I would be as the food we usually buy is quite a bit more expensive. Her coat is softer and it hasn't affected her sensitive tummy.

Q3. In future, how likely are you to consider regularly feeding the full Pedigree® diet that your dog tested to your dog? If not the full diet, which particular products would you consider and why?

We'll definitely be continuing to feed her on the pedigree diet. It seems to agree with her and is cheaper than the food we usually buy.

Q4. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pedigree® to other dog owners? If so, why? If not, why not?

Definitely, see above answer.

Q5. What were your overall impressions of the Pedigree® Tracks app?

I think it's a great idea, particularly the personalised feeding guide. We had been feeding her too much so I'm glad I tried it.

Q6. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pedigree® Tracks to other dog owners? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would because it's great to be able to check they're getting the right amount of food and exercise.

lbmum · 14/05/2016 22:23

Hi, we have a 5 year old Cavapoo.
Q1. Were you aware of Pedigree® dog food before taking part in this product test? If so, have you ever purchased it before?

Yes.

Q2. What are your overall impressions of the Pedigree® Complete Feeding diet your dog tested? We’d love your thoughts on the complete diet as well as the individual products.

Well, the dog certainly loved them! She much prefers the wet food over the biscuits so often she would leave the dry food and gobble up the meat, even when we mix them in well.

Q3. In future, how likely are you to consider regularly feeding the full Pedigree® diet that your dog tested to your dog? If not the full diet, which particular products would you consider and why?

Very likely.

Q4. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pedigree® to other dog owners? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, definitely.

Q5. What were your overall impressions of the Pedigree® Tracks app?

Great idea, gave me a good indication of how much she should be eating as it took into account her exercise levels too as well as her weight.

Q6. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pedigree® Tracks to other dog owners? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, I would. It is a good start to knowing what is best for your dog and apps are the way to go these days.

welshmumof3boys · 16/05/2016 14:02
  1. yes I was aware of Pedigree food and yes have bought.
  2. my puppy likes eating the dry and pouches together, so used the dry as a mixer. He couldn't eat it fast enough.
  3. I would consider continuing with the pedigree pouches and using them with a dry food as a mixer. The mixer could be predigree dry too.
  4. yes I'd recommend as my puppy seemed to thoroughly enjoy. 5)didn't use the tracker app so can't comment.
  5. see response above

Q1. Were you aware of Pedigree® dog food before taking part in this product test? If so, have you ever purchased it before?
Yes I've purchased before but only when on offer
Q2. What are your overall impressions of the Pedigree® Complete Feeding diet your dog tested? We’d love your thoughts on the complete diet as well as the individual products.
Ellie loved the pouches and dental treats but wasn't keen on the dry food as much. She prefers meaty chunks one. The treats were a bit small for her.

Q3. In future, how likely are you to consider regularly feeding the full Pedigree® diet that your dog tested to your dog? If not the full diet, which particular products would you consider and why?
I'll be kneeing up with the dental sticks and pouches as Ellie has lived them
Q4. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pedigree® to other dog owners? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yeah I would happily recommend the dental sticks as they have improved Ellie's breath no end and the pouches for convenience
Q5. What were your overall impressions of the Pedigree® Tracks app?
Struggled to get it to load on my ohone
Q6. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pedigree® Tracks to other dog owners? If so, why? If not, why not?na

Ellie was over the moon to receive the package. She is approximately a 8/9 year old rescue Staffordshire bull terrier. She is a little bit rotund but we let her get away with it due to her rubbish start in life, worse things than a bit of middle aged spread ha. She loves the dentastix and they have helped her rather stinky breath loads. She loves the pouches and eats them in seconds. She isn't keen on the dry food as she likes the meaty chunk ones and the treats were a bit small for her. Overall I'm impressed and she seems to enjoy it

idontlikealdi · 16/05/2016 14:08

Q1. Were you aware of Pedigree® dog food before taking part in this product test? If so, have you ever purchased it before?

Yes, and have purchased before but generally if normal brand wasn’t available for food. Have always bought dentastix and treats from Pedigree.

Q2. What are your overall impressions of the Pedigree® Complete Feeding diet your dog tested? We’d love your thoughts on the complete diet as well as the individual products.

I was quite impressed, and my dog (5yo cairn terrier) certainly was, he loves the dry food which he can be fussy about and he likes the pouches. He has always loved Dentastix although I am doubtful they do anything for his teeth as he eats them too quickly.

He had a very upset stomach for about a week after gradually switching the food but has been fine since then.

My only comment would be that the pouches are quite small. My dog only eats once a day so has been having two pouches and a scoop of dry.

Q3. In future, how likely are you to consider regularly feeding the full Pedigree® diet that your dog tested to your dog? If not the full diet, which particular products would you consider and why?

I’d consider staying on the full diet, he is enjoying it and I don’t have a particular brand loyalty.

Q4. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pedigree® to other dog owners? If so, why? If not, why not?

I can’t think of any reason not to recommend it.

Q5. What were your overall impressions of the Pedigree® Tracks app?

A bit of a gimmick and I don’t use it. Quite interesting to see what it thought he should be eating and corresponded well to the amount that he does eat.

Q6. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pedigree® Tracks to other dog owners? If so, why? If not, why not?

If someone was into apps thgen maybe, just for me it seemed a bit pointless. I can see why people would like it though and it could be useful if a dog was overweight to get a guide on feeding.

Archiesmummy1 · 16/05/2016 14:09

Update to my original post;

Poppy has now decided she will reluctantly eat her dry dog food, she used to run and spin and eat it all up so fast, now she leaves it in the bowl for ages before eating it. The pouches still have the mad, fast spinning, excitement attached to them however! She still refuses to eat the dentatubes, in any shape way or form.

Worth considering that she is currently being trained, I started puppy classes with her so she may be affected by the masses of treats she's eating as part of the training.

OmaC · 16/05/2016 14:18

i was well aware of pedigree products and thet were undoubtably good quality. I don't make recommendations on principal but people see the packaging. The thing that has prevented me using the products before and probably still will is the cost. It would have to be very substantially discounted to come within my budget

Foxtrot26 · 16/05/2016 14:20

Really disappointed overall with the trial products the app was poor my fbd had no interest in the dry and Didn't seem at all satisfied with the pouches although she was quite happy eating them just didn't seem to sate her going by the feeding guide provided

Treats went down well as did the dentastix but I'd be very wary of using their feeding guide ongoing

Foxtrot26 · 16/05/2016 14:24

Q1. Were you aware of Pedigree® dog food before taking part in this product test? If so, have you ever purchased it before?

Yes and yes
Q2. What are your overall impressions of the Pedigree® Complete Feeding diet your dog tested? We’d love your thoughts on the complete diet as well as the individual products.

See my post above overall quite poor with some highlights
Q3. In future, how likely are you to consider regularly feeding the full Pedigree® diet that your dog tested to your dog? If not the full diet, which particular products would you consider and why?

Not likely fussy frenchie problems although we may use the pouches

Q4. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pedigree® to other dog owners? If so, why? If not, why not?
Very subjective our frenchie is fussy and enjoyed the pouches so would certainly at least recommend them to try to anyone in the same situation also the treats and dentastix go down well with our dog
Q5. What were your overall impressions of the Pedigree® Tracks app?

Poor not at all impressed
Q6. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pedigree® Tracks to other dog owners? If so, why? If not, why not?

Not really didn't think it offered anything at all
Thanks, MNHQ

beanie623 · 16/05/2016 14:27

Q1. Were you aware of Pedigree® dog food before taking part in this product test? If so, have you ever purchased it before?
Yes i was aware of pedigree before my trial as i know a few people who use it, i had not purchased it myself before this trial.
Q2. What are your overall impressions of the Pedigree® Complete Feeding diet your dog tested? We’d love your thoughts on the complete diet as well as the individual products.
I was really impressed with the whole lot! I wasnt sure if my dog would eat the biscuit as he is really fussy when it comes to biscuit and usually picks at it, he loves this and eats the whole lot. It was great to know how much to give him for a good complete diet, he loved both the jelly pouches and the gravy ones, He was unsure of the dentistix at first but now loves them. The treats are great and good size for when im out and about.
Q3. In future, how likely are you to consider regularly feeding the full Pedigree® diet that your dog tested to your dog? If not the full diet, which particular products would you consider and why?
I am going to carry on the full diet for my dog, the difference in areas i have found is amazing, he is a small jack russell but malted so much! and ive noticed he is not malting as much and his coat looks really good, the dentistix are great for his breath too! only downside his farts have become more pungent!
Q4. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pedigree® to other dog owners? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would highly recommend as the differences ive noticed in my own dog has been amazing and its a great diet, and having the benefit of the app to help is brilliant to have a good all round dog.
Q5. What were your overall impressions of the Pedigree® Tracks app?
Its excellent, i love how it told me how much to give my dog with considering how active he is, ideas and tips. all round excellent
Q6. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pedigree® Tracks to other dog owners? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would highly recommend its really helpful for tips, checking your giving your dog the right amount of food and also keeping track of activity. excellent!

SarahatCraftInvaders · 16/05/2016 14:41

Hi have come back to add some extra feedback as I answered the questions quite early in the trial. Our Labrador seems very happy on the pedigree diet (it should be pointed out that she is NOT a fussy eater!) One thing I have noticed is that the portions we are giving her look fairly small so the diet must be quite nutritionally dense which makes it better value in my opinion. For our dog the little treats are too small, although they'd be great for training treats if you just wanted a little morsel. I have been really impressed with the range overall (I particularly like the dried food size which looks much chunkier than our usual food) and appreciate having had the opportunity to try it - thanks Pedigree and Mumsnet

Abominablebride · 16/05/2016 14:58

Were you aware of Pedigree® dog food before taking part in this product test? If so, have you ever purchased it before?
Yes I was aware of pedigree before but have only purchased pedigree treats.

Q2. What are your overall impressions of the Pedigree® Complete Feeding diet your dog tested? We’d love your thoughts on the complete diet as well as the individual products.

Callie had no problems switching to Pedigree and is particularly enjoying the dentastix. I would say the the complete food is a little on the large side for her but she is eating it all enthusiastically. We were concerned the change in diet but upset her stomach but she has had no problems at all.

Q3. In future, how likely are you to consider regularly feeding the full Pedigree® diet that your dog tested to your dog? If not the full diet, which particular products would you consider and why?

Yes I think we will be continuing with Pedigree it's cheaper than what we were using before and Callie seems to be thriving.

Q4. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pedigree® to other dog owners? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes I would recommend to other dog owners

Q5. What were your overall impressions of the Pedigree® Tracks app.

We have used it but to be honest I keep forgetting to use it daily so will have a closer look.

Q6. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pedigree® Tracks to other dog owners? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes I think new dog owners would get a lot from it

Dragzena · 16/05/2016 15:00

I have an approx 4 year old crossbreed rescue. She's about the size of a small cocker.

Q1. Were you aware of Pedigree® dog food before taking part in this product test? If so, have you ever purchased it before?

I know the pedigree brand and have bought treats and biscuits before.

Q2. What are your overall impressions of the Pedigree® Complete Feeding diet your dog tested? We’d love your thoughts on the complete diet as well as the individual products.

I changed her food very gradually, less than the recommended as she has quite a delicate stomach. She has responded really well, loves her new food and seems satisfied on it. The only thing she hasn't liked is the dentistix, she refuses to touch them.

I like the handiness of the pouches, they are less messy than having an open tin around.

she absolutely loves the treats, as soon as she sees the bag she is happy.

Q3. In future, how likely are you to consider regularly feeding the full Pedigree® diet that your dog tested to your dog? If not the full diet, which particular products would you consider and why?

I think we will definitely keep her on this range, she is happy eating it and it seems well balanced for her so I will continue to feed her it after the trial is finished. I have noticed a difference in her coat too, it's definitely in better condition.

Q4. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pedigree® to other dog owners? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes this complete small dog range seems to give her everything she needs and she has liked it well so I would recommend it. It seems more economical than her previous diet and I can see a difference in her coat and her energy levels.

Q5. What were your overall impressions of the Pedigree® Tracks app?

I found it a bit difficult to get at first but that's down to my tech abilities! Once shown by an eye rolling teenager it was quite straightforward Grin It is great for ensuring she gets the right amount.

Q6. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pedigree® Tracks to other dog owners? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes I think it's useful, probably especially so for first time dog owners.

DorsetMum1 · 16/05/2016 15:44

Products tested by 18 month old female Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, who is usually on a raw food diet.

  1. Were you aware of Pedigree® dog food before taking part in this product test? If so, have you ever purchased it before?
Yes, I was aware. I haven't purchased it before. Q2. What are your overall impressions of the Pedigree® Complete Feeding diet your dog tested? We’d love your thoughts on the complete diet as well as the individual products. I'd much rather be feeding a raw food diet. Q3. In future, how likely are you to consider regularly feeding the full Pedigree® diet that your dog tested to your dog? If not the full diet, which particular products would you consider and why? I might just about be persuaded by my 9 year old daughter to buy Dentastix, but won't be buying any of it when shopping alone. Q4. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pedigree® to other dog owners? If so, why? If not, why not? No.My dog seems much healthier and happier on a raw food diet. On Pedigree she seemed hungry all the time, people remarked that her coat was rougher than usual. ("It's so rough and it's usually as smooth as silk, poor dog!") She scooted her bottom, which she never usually does..and there were some terrible smells, which we don't usually get...and much larger, softer poo. Q5. What were your overall impressions of the Pedigree® Tracks app? It's OK if you want to feed manufactured dog food, rather than real food. Q6. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pedigree® Tracks to other dog owners? If so, why? If not, why not? No, because I feed a raw food diet, which I would recommend.
LaPharisienne · 16/05/2016 16:05

Q1. Were you aware of Pedigree® dog food before taking part in this product test? If so, have you ever purchased it before?

Yes and yes, but only when I ran out of dog food unexpectedly and had to buy food from the local corner shop in between supermarket shops.

Q2. What are your overall impressions of the Pedigree® Complete Feeding diet your dog tested? We’d love your thoughts on the complete diet as well as the individual products.

Dog ate it with great enthusiasm, but I did wonder whether this was because it was a bit artificial?

Q3. In future, how likely are you to consider regularly feeding the full Pedigree® diet that your dog tested to your dog? If not the full diet, which particular products would you consider and why?

I think I would buy the pouches if I were stuck between supermarket shops because they are very convenient (in terms of packaging and availability to purchase), but I would be unlikely to buy the complete diet or any particular Pedigree products regularly because it is not good enough quality - I prefer more natural products.

Q4. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pedigree® to other dog owners? If so, why? If not, why not?

No - not natural enough.

Q5. What were your overall impressions of the Pedigree® Tracks app?

I wasn't aware there was an app.

Q6. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pedigree® Tracks to other dog owners? If so, why? If not, why not?

No - I haven't tried it because I wasn't aware of it.

thelsmum · 16/05/2016 16:52

I have some more feedback to add... My dog is a staff cross and he is 7 years old. He always has oodles of energy.

Q1. Were you aware of Pedigree® dog food before taking part in this product test? If so, have you ever purchased it before?

Yes I was aware of it, but I never bought it before because I was always initially put off by the cost.

Q2. What are your overall impressions of the Pedigree® Complete Feeding diet your dog tested? We’d love your thoughts on the complete diet as well as the individual products.

I have loved the diet for my dog. His coat has appeared shiner (he always suffered with dry skin which staffs are prone to) he also seems much brighter in himself. We have done a combination of dry and wet food, using the amounts for his weight. I like the pouches as it is much more convenient than a tin. He doesn't tend to gulp it all up as fast either. The dentastix have been great, he has really enjoyed chewing on them. The treats have been great whilst out on a walk as treats for coming back to us when he is off the lead.

Q3. In future, how likely are you to consider regularly feeding the full Pedigree® diet that your dog tested to your dog? If not the full diet, which particular products would you consider and why?

Yes, his coast has improved dramatically so I have to think it's the food as nothing else has changed in his routine. I may not always buy the treats, but certainly I like the combination of dry and wet food and the dentastix have been great.

Q4. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pedigree® to other dog owners? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes absolutely. I know a few dog owners and they all use different food. If it came up in conversation I would always recommend now. One has made a comment on how well Kal is looking and I mentioned it was because of the food we are giving him.

Q5. What were your overall impressions of the Pedigree® Tracks app?

I have liked using the app. It's informative and encouraging.

Q6. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pedigree® Tracks to other dog owners? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes I think I would. I don't think an app is for everyone but for keen dog owners I think they would benefit from it.

Overall we have been really happy with everything. I definitely think you get what you pay for and I would never have said that before trying it. I also never thought a food would have so much affect on how my dog looks. It's been a great test.

Mummycherry2 · 16/05/2016 16:54

Q1 - yes I was aware of pedigree dog food and I have bought the dried food on occasion for my dog and the pouches regularly.

Q2 - my overall impressions of the diet were very favourable. I like that there is a good variety for the dog and that it is really easy to check portion control. I also really liked the dental sticks.

Q3 - I am very likely to consider the full diet in the future. The pouches are very convenient and I am now confident with how much I should be feeding my dog. The only thing I probably wouldn't buy is the treats and that's because I used the dental stick as a reward in the evening instead.

Q4 - yes I would absolute recommend this diet to other owners, particularly to new or inexperienced owners who need some guidance on what to feed their dog and when.

Q5 - the app was good. It was helpful at the start of the trial but it is not an app that I would use regularly now.

Q6 - I would recommend it to owners who have not used pedigree before or who don't have a lot of experience with dogs.

Q1. Were you aware of Pedigree® dog food before taking part in this product test? If so, have you ever purchased it before?

No, but happy to give it a try.

Q2. What are your overall impressions of the Pedigree® Complete Feeding diet your dog tested? We’d love your thoughts on the complete diet as well as the individual products.

Difficult to really know how much to feed my dog. The App said a completely different diet to the back of the packaging and when I phoned Pedigree, they didn't know what on earth I was talking about. So we feed what we think is the right amount.

Q3. In future, how likely are you to consider regularly feeding the full Pedigree® diet that your dog tested to your dog? If not the full diet, which particular products would you consider and why?
I like the complete diet with a sachet to make it less boring.

Q4. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pedigree® to other dog owners? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, my dog seems very happy on it. Might try the terrier next.

Q5. What were your overall impressions of the Pedigree® Tracks app?
No, it was a load of *. Utter rubbish.

Q6. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pedigree® Tracks to other dog owners? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes. It is a good diet. Just more information about quantity. No lurcher can eat 5 sachets plus dried. He would be very fat.
