This is the feedback thread for the Mumsnetters who tested the Pedigree dog food range.

Pedigree say "Our philosophy is to provide leading-edge nutrition that's affordable for everyone, and with over 80 years of experience making dog food, we're proud of our products. Currently, we’re on a mission to encourage owners to feed their dogs a combination dry food, wet food, a regular dental care regime and a responsible amount of treats. Why? Because research by the WALTHAM™ Centre for Pet Nutrition, the leading global authority on pet care and nutrition, shows that this mixed diet provides the widest range of health benefits to your dog".

Testers, please complete the feedback questions below but please feel free to add any other comments you may have. Please state which range of products you were testing, along with the size and age of your dog. You will also need to complete a short survey in order to be entered into the £300 Amazon voucher prize draw where one tester will win! The survey link has been emailed out now.

Q1. Were you aware of Pedigree® dog food before taking part in this product test? If so, have you ever purchased it before?
Q2. What are your overall impressions of the Pedigree® Complete Feeding diet your dog tested? We’d love your thoughts on the complete diet as well as the individual products.
Q3. In future, how likely are you to consider regularly feeding the full Pedigree® diet that your dog tested to your dog? If not the full diet, which particular products would you consider and why?
Q4. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pedigree® to other dog owners? If so, why? If not, why not?
Q5. What were your overall impressions of the Pedigree® Tracks app?
Q6. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pedigree® Tracks to other dog owners? If so, why? If not, why not?

Thanks, MNHQ

Q1. Were you aware of Pedigree® dog food before taking part in this product test? If so, have you ever purchased it before?

I was aware of the Pedigree brand but haven't ever bought any of the products.

Q2. What are your overall impressions of the Pedigree® Complete Feeding diet your dog tested? We’d love your thoughts on the complete diet as well as the individual products.

Unfortunately my dogs were not keen on any of the products, I was actually quite relieved about this after looking at the ingrdients!

Q3. In future, how likely are you to consider regularly feeding the full Pedigree® diet that your dog tested to your dog? If not the full diet, which particular products would you consider and why?

I would not feed any of the products due to my dogs not liking them and the unhealthy, unnatural ingredients in them.

Q4. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pedigree® to other dog owners? If so, why? If not, why not?

No, for the reasons above.

Q5. What were your overall impressions of the Pedigree® Tracks app?

I think the app is a great idea, fits in with modern life.

Q6. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pedigree® Tracks to other dog owners? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes because I think many people would enjoy having an app to track these aspects of their pets' lives.

Update on my previous post regarding the trial....
I always fed my dogs, (CKCSs) on Naturediet or Forthglade, mixed with some of their small dog, breed specific kibble.
However, during the trial, I had issues with faulty seals on the packs of their normal wet food. I also have a nearly 15 year old CKCS, who is getting increasingly fussy with her meals.
So, as I had a lot of the Pedigree pouches left...I started using them mixed with my dogs' dry food......instant success.
Tummies( and anal glands) seem fine, now they're used to it. Dogs are loving their meals. Coats are shinier than before, and the old dog has a spring in her step!
At the old dog's heart check up last week, I meantioned the change of food to my vet....and we had a discussion about Pedigree foods. In his opinion, their food, these days, is much better quality than 20 years ago....and he was impressed with the dog's condition.
As a result ....I have just ordered 3 month's supply of the pouches....the gravy ones....instead of the usual wet food.
So, thank you for letting me (the dogs!) trial it...I wouldn't have given it an go otherwise!
Oh, and I have told other CKCS owners in our group about it!

Q1. Were you aware of Pedigree® dog food before taking part in this product test? If so, have you ever purchased it before?
I was aware of Pedigree dog food before, but not of the range of products available. As we normally feed our dog a dry food diet (and I thought Pedigree was about wet food) we had rarely used them.

Q2. What are your overall impressions of the Pedigree® Complete Feeding diet your dog tested? We’d love your thoughts on the complete diet as well as the individual products.
I love this diet! My dog has lost nearly 2kg of weight (she needed to!), our vet is so pleased! It is really easy to follow, very obvious how much to give her and how often, including treats etc. She loves it - there is never a scrap left in her bowl :). It's varied so she gets a range of tastes as we have been mixing the pouches with the dry biscuits, I think she used to get a bit bored before having the same biscuits each day. The food is easy to store and remains fresh, either because it is re-sealable or because it comes in separate pouches - only the dentastix don't. Could their packaging be changed accordingly?

Q3. In future, how likely are you to consider regularly feeding the full Pedigree® diet that your dog tested to your dog? If not the full diet, which particular products would you consider and why?
We won't change now! Definitely converts to this diet. We're very happy and so is the dog!

Q4. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pedigree® to other dog owners? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes I would - for all the reasons above.

Q5. What were your overall impressions of the Pedigree® Tracks app?
We didn't really get on with this as our dog is walked by a number of people due to work commitments. Is there a way that the app can be synced with other phones so that an accurate record can be kept.
The food advice on there was very useful, as well as the health suggestions.

Q6. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pedigree® Tracks to other dog owners? If so, why? If not, why not?
We would, but would discuss the problems I have outline above.

Q2. What are your overall impressions of the Pedigree® Complete Feeding diet your dog tested? We’d love your thoughts on the complete diet as well as the individual products. My dog isn't overly keen on dry dog food on it's own, we have to mix with warm water to encourage him to eat it. With the pedigree on his dry he absolutely devours every morsel, and wants more!
Q3. In future, how likely are you to consider regularly feeding the full Pedigree® diet that your dog tested to your dog? If not the full diet, which particular products would you consider and why? Not the full, it makes his farts smell!
Q4. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pedigree® to other dog owners? If so, why? If not, why not? Yes, He really enjoys it.
Q5. What were your overall impressions of the Pedigree® Tracks app? I didn't find time to use it. Initial thoughts were it was good.
Q6. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pedigree® Tracks to other dog owners? If so, why? If not, why not? I didn't get chance to recommend it.

I think this is the thread for the previous product test as I posted feedback here months ago. The more recent product test was survey-based.
