Cadbury have asked us to find Mumsnetters to be on their panel to take part in various pieces of activity in the next year.

Panel members will have the opportunity to take part in various pieces of activity, which could be everything for product tests to surveys to focus groups – all of which will be incentivised of course!

Everyone who has at least one child age 12 or under is welcome to join.

What happened with the panel?

I was chosen but that was the last I heard? I wasn't selected for the bauble or buttons tests but they weren't connected to the panel.

MNHQ - what is the purpose of the panel? I thought we might get some chocolate at some point!

Also didn't get an email about a panel Easter egg test?

SaltySeaBird - I got the email about the Easter egg trial yesterday teatime, maybe it went into your spam?. I also was hoping chocolate was gonna be heading our way requests

So just had an email about recruiting for another Cadbury panel trial.....Freddo hot chocolate. Really hope we all get a chance with these. Still don't like the idea of having to re-apply for them

Not impressed that I had an email to say that I was accepted to do the Easter egg trial. To then get one today saying basically that they have chosen too many people and that as I hadn't actually applied (which I did!) that I will no longer be trailing it! My son has been looking forward to trailing these all week and will now be devastated!

Sarahb8990 - omg I think thats disgusting of them to do that to you! . I'm also on the panel but haven't managed to review anything yet, but to tell you and therefore your children that you've been successful and change their mind is shocking!.

That is terrible (being selected then told no)!
I was annoyed that despite this thread starting 5 months ago, I've not yet done any chocolate testing related to being on the panel. I did test the baubles but that was separate. The other things we've been given the chance to apply for (wtf?) I've either been unsuccessful or not bothered applying (Fredo hot choc) cos it sounds rank! Not very impressed at all with being a panel member so far and I was so excited to be picked

I was excited to be on the panel aswel and my two sons were so excited to test the Easter eggs. My youngest cried when I told him we won't be testing them anymore (I had no choice but to tell them as they have asked everyday when they are coming) my oldest took it abit better by asking if we can buy some Easter eggs and get some icing to decorate ourselves. Still not the point and shouldn't have been told we were going to get to test them when we weren't. This panel has been awful tbh with waiting so long to test anything too having to reapply for any testing and now this!

Letting children down is absolutely appalling and lets face it, there's no need for it!. If MN have somehow managed to recruit too many for this trial I think it's up to them to contact Cadbury and admit their mistake and ask them to send more eggs out. Ive not had anything yet to review and my kiddies were so excited about me being on the panel. Its a farce. I would complain to MN

I was in sainsburys today and I saw they are selling decorate your own eggs by cadburys- although I was selected (then deselected), I thought it was a new product not yet available?

Thats three Cadburys trials ive applied for on the Cadbury panel that I supposedly got accepted onto and three that ive had no success in being accepted onto. Whats the point?????!!!!

Same here. I'm torn between wanting to be super nice so they'll finally let me taste chocolate (as promised!) and wanting to pout and stamp my feet.

Im all for complaining here! Niceties go out the window when it comes to coming between me and chocolate

I was meant to be on the egg decoration one and DD was quite excited but haven't received anything. How did you know you had been deselected? Is there a way to check?

I was just coming on to ask if anyone else was getting the email asking you to sign up for the different product tests but never actually being sent anything.

Feeling rather left out! Are there more than 200 of us on here as that's how many it says is being chosen each time iirc.

CharleyDavidson - yes, me too!. Im on the panel and get the emails through and keep applying but with no success! . Im rather miffed to say the least.
