This is the feedback thread for the 20 Mumsnetters who tried the Kenwood kCook.

Here’s what the people at Kenwood say, “Whipping up a one-pot wonder for your family has never been easier thanks to the new kCook cooking food processor from Kenwood which not only chops and stirs, but also cooks delicious dishes at the touch of a few buttons. All this, plus a fantastic specially-developed recipe app to provide a little inspiration at every meal time, makes the kCook the new must-have kitchen essential.

The three bowl tools coupled with the app make the laborious tasks of thinking up a meal, preparing ingredients and endlessly stirring over a hot stove a thing of the past. Simply follow one of over 200 recipes available on the app, or adapt them to your taste using the kCook’s manual modes which allow the speeds and temperatures to be changed.”

Testers, we’d like you to answer the below questions:

Q1. How would you describe the kCook to friends or family who had never heard of it before? What was your overall impression of it?

Q2. How easy, or not, did you find to use the kCook? What time saving tips did you find when using the kCook?

Q3. What family meals did you create with the kCook? Did they go down well with your family? We’d love it if you could post some pictures of your dishes on this thread.

Q4. Did you use the Kenwood recipe app? If so, what did you think of it? Did you discover new recipes you hadn’t tried before?

Q5. If it came up in conversation, do you think you’d recommend the kCook to friends and family? If so, why? If not, why not?

Non-testers, what’s your favourite dish to make in a food processor? Everyone who adds their thoughts to this thread will be entered into a prize draw to win their own kCook.

Thanks
MNHQ

I use a good processor to whizz up the tastiest and easiest tomato soup.
Fry onion. Add a tin of tomatoes and same again of water. Salt pepper sugar basil oregano or whatever you like with tomato. Chop a carrot if you can be arsed. Cook until veg soft. Add a tin of Heinz spaghetti and give it five more mins.
Blend in food processor or use stick blender.
Serve with either a dollop of Creme fraice or pesto or a slice of cheese that melts in.
Delicious.

I use my food processor for loads if things but current fave is cauliflower 'rice'. I use my slow cooker all the time. Today we had sausage casserole and earlier in the week we had chicken and chorizo. I am always experimenting so would be keen to work out how this combi would work.

Non-tester.
When I had a blender it was fantastic for making soups and breadcrumbs. My favourite thing to make was spicy parsnip soup. I have a hand blender now, which is useful for making soup, but I really miss my proper blender for making beet balls. I've tried using a grater or hand blender and it's just not the same.

Non tester. My fave dish to make in a food processor is either quinoa pizza or cocoa and chia energy balls. Both are far nicer than they sound! I'm also going to be attempting to make instant ice cream with dry ice using a processor at work next week (I teach cooking). Can't wait Grin

non tester here - I own a dated food processor but find it handy for dessert making - most often I only get it out on special occasions and mostly use it for carrot cake and sticky toffee pudding :)

My favourite dish to make in a food processor is Ella's Kitchen clever tomato sauce. It's full of all sorts of nutrients and my little one loves it. Quick and easy to make.

I'd love to try my favourite lentil, carrot and red pepper hearty soup. It's a bit laborious to make from scratch so it would be fabulous to try and see how quickly I could accomplish it in a kCook! Smile

non tester - I like to make soup, this would save lots of time. Also when I make relishes chopping vegetables takes so long and I don't always get them as finely chopped as I would like.

I make my chilli, by grating mushrooms, courgettes & carrots into the pan, it bulks it out in a healthy way & gets extra goodness into the meal for my family

I use my processor for tomato and roast pepper soup. I use it for chopping the veg to make the soup, and then to rough puree the finished product. Delicious and made in twenty minutes.!
