Paddington is looking for 10 Mumsnetters to receive their own Paddington Bear cuddly soft toy and write about their adventures with Paddington on a Mumsnet thread.

Here’s what they say, “One of the most beloved characters of all time comes to the big screen for the first time on November 28, in a magical family film from the producer of the Harry Potter series, featuring an all-star cast that includes Hugh Bonneville, Sally Hawkins, Jim Broadbent, Peter Capaldi, Julie Walters, Nicole Kidman and Ben Whishaw as the voice of Paddington.

Selected Mumsnetters will each receive a Paddington Bear cuddly soft toy. We’ll then be asking you to put on your creative writing caps and tell us about the adventures that Paddington has been on, with you, on a thread on Mumsnet. The thread will be live for two weeks and selected Mumsnetters will need to update us on Paddington’s adventures at least three times!

Everyone who takes part and posts on the feedback thread will be entered into a prize draw to win a £250 Love2Shop voucher!

Will the cuddly toy look as weird as the bear in the new film?

I've done this, but is it restricted to those with children aged 3-6 or is it for all Mumsnetters?
If it's those with children aged 3-6 I'm not eligible.

God I hate"UK Mumsnetters"

I'm goddamn British and lived in London when I first joined MN a Pom bear lifetime ago, eons before the dawn of beakergate but because I moved abroad I can't write about padding ton - whose stories basically brought me up.

Halfway down the survey it says it's only open to UK MNers with children aged 3-6. I filled it in anyway as I work with children that age, but MNHQ, if it is only parents of DC ages 3-6 you should say in the OP.

New Paddington looks sinister. Very disappointing. Some things should never be updated/redone.

Survey clearly says "you must have at least one child and 3-6 to be able to take part". Wish I'd seen that before I filled my details in.

(I copied and pasted that, I assume it means aged 3 - 6.)

Also confused about the age range as DS age 9 is a massive bear and Paddington fan.

Ds 2.5 would have loved this but another who is really disappointed at how freaky the new Paddington looks. I think I'm going to dig out a dvd of the original series rather than subject ds or my family to nightmares after seeing the new one.
