Paddington is looking for 10 Mumsnetters to receive their own Paddington Bear cuddly soft toy and write about their adventures with Paddington on a Mumsnet thread.

Here’s what they say, “One of the most beloved characters of all time comes to the big screen for the first time on November 28, in a magical family film from the producer of the Harry Potter series, featuring an all-star cast that includes Hugh Bonneville, Sally Hawkins, Jim Broadbent, Peter Capaldi, Julie Walters, Nicole Kidman and Ben Whishaw as the voice of Paddington.

“Paddington is a small bear who has grown up deep in the Peruvian jungle with his Aunt Lucy. When an earthquake destroys their home, Aunt Lucy decides to smuggle her young nephew on board a boat bound for England, in search of a better life. Arriving alone at Paddington Station, Paddington soon finds that city life is not all he had imagined – until he meets the kindly Brown family, who find him with a label tied around his neck which reads ‘Please look after this bear. Thank you.’ They offer him a temporary home whilst he searches for the explorer who impressed Aunt Lucy all those years before. But when Paddington catches the eye of a sinister, seductive taxidermist, it isn’t long before his home – and very existence – is under threat...

“Watch the exciting new trailer for Paddington below.”

Selected Mumsnetters will each receive a Paddington Bear cuddly soft toy. We’ll then be asking you to put on your creative writing caps and tell us about the adventures that Paddington has been on, with you, on a thread on Mumsnet. The thread will be live for two weeks and selected Mumsnetters will need to update us on Paddington’s adventures at least three times!

Everyone who takes part and posts on the feedback thread will be entered into a prize draw to win a £250 Love2Shop voucher!
This is open to all UK Mumsnetters.

So, if you’re feeling a bit creative and want to take part, then come and join the adventure by clicking here to sign up.

Thanks
MNHQ

AmericasTorturedBrow we often have to limit product tests to UK Mumsnetters because of the logistics of sending out products further afield. We don't at all doubt you could write about Paddington Bear, promise!

Sorry, there was a typo in the survey, this is open to Mumsnetters with a child any age.

Have MNHQ been in touch with you guys then? I guess that means I haven't been selected Sad

PommingtonBear · 19/11/2014 11:24

Yay!

Can't wait 'til he arrives!

InMySpareTime · 19/11/2014 11:28

Mine's here alreadyGrin.
He is soft and plushy, but he doesn't have red welly boots or a label reading "please look after this bear, thank you". A little disappointed about those omissions.
I'm off to my book den to read with Paddington now I've finished work for the daySmile.

Fisharefriendsnotfood · 19/11/2014 11:31

I'm gutted there's no label!!! I was going to put him by the front door for the kids getting in from school...

InMySpareTime · 19/11/2014 11:32

I'm going to make him a label

Fisharefriendsnotfood · 19/11/2014 11:43

I thought of that.. Might have to stash him till tomorrow

halfdrunkcoffee · 19/11/2014 13:25

Just got my bear, thanks! Looking forward to taking him on his adventures and hearing about darkest Peru.

PommingtonBear · 19/11/2014 20:42

We are now Looking After A Bear. He arrived in time for tea, but sadly DS2 has taken him off to bed so I can't have any sort of forbidden class bear amusement.

My bear spent a lovely afternoon reading with me in the blanket den (I read proper literature but Paddington wanted to read railway magazines instead, to see if he could spot his train).
Then the DCs came home and made him watch films instead. They've gone to bed now, so I've given Paddington a box-set of Michael Bond books to keep him occupied. He seems happy, but you never can tell with bears...

Oh, am I too late? I would love a bear to take to my Brownie and Rainbow units - he could do badges!
