This is the feedback thread for the 15 testers who are trying on demand TV service YouView in their homes with their shiny new Humax DTR-T2000 set-top box worth £199.

For the people who got a YouView box, what's the deal with the cable they said was needed to connect the box to the router? Have you literally had to trail a cable from one to the other? Just wondering because our router is nowhere near the TV.

YouView say "We’ve supplied powerline adaptors with all boxes which will allow you to connect your YouView box without cables."

Forgot to add something that really annoys me - when you choose something to watch on 'on demand' the show starts with half the screen covered by the programme info, and you can't get rid of it - you just have to wait for it to disappear. Not a massive problem in the scale of things, but if you've got a programme that goes straight in with no titles you do miss a bit.

hello - YouView say "to clear this, just press the 'back' or 'i' button on the remote and that will remove the programme details" HTH
