PruHealth say "our members can get cashback with Vitality on everyday essentials like health and beauty products, toiletries, fragrances and more whether they shop online or in-store with a LloydsPharmacy Vitality card."

Our participants received £25 worth of vouchers to spend at LloydsPharmacy to test drive the up-to-50% cashback benefit.

Week 7 is also all about the rewards available to PruHealth with Vitality members - this time our testers are able to choose their reward from a few of the key Vitality partners who are working with PruHealth: Merlin attractions, National Trust parks or travel with Eurostar, Mark Warner or Mr & Mrs Smith getaways.

PruHealth say "We offer rewards to help motivate our members to improve their health and to recognise the hard work they're putting in. We're pleased to team up with a variety of travel, health and entertainment companies to offer members a great range of discounts and special offers."

Non participants - for a chance to win a £50 pre-loaded Nectar card please share on this thread what would motivate you to make small steps to improve your health and general well-being? Add your comment and you'll be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £50 Nectar card. Prize draw Monday 10 March 9am NOW CLOSED.

Participants: please share on this thread what reward you picked and why. When do you think you'll use it? Do you think this reward would help motivate you to earn more Vitality points (and therefore access to even bigger discounts and rewards)? What other partners would you like to see on the Vitality list?

thanks

Good luck in hosp today Kew hope you feel better after it.

I got my Eurostar voucher today. Unfortunately you can't use it online, but it doesn't seem to have an expiry date which is good as we have holidays booked already for this year. I am hoping we can use it next year as part of a longer trip to France.

Looking forward to seeing you all on Friday - do we need to take anything? Swimming costume I presume?

Hi, Kew, how did it go? Are you feeling full of energy now?

Stripytop, just as well you flagged that up! :-)

Transport not such a Shock issue after dismissing TFL Journey Planner for being so London-centric that it devises routes so arduous as to put you off travelling beyond Zone 6 - EVER! Thankfully DS was extremely helpful and route-planned more straightforwardly!

It's our last week of gym membership, and I'm struggling to find the time to even get there! Tonight, DS had athletics training, tomorrow night he and DH have a golf lesson, Thursday night I'm off to my mum's (who lives very near Tring), so it looks as if it will have to be Wednesday. I shall go for an early morning run tomorrow to compensate.

We are definitely going to look into family gym membership once this is all over, but probably somewhere closer to home than the Virgin Active gym.

GwenStacy · 11/03/2014 13:13

I'm getting the train in - maybe see if we can coordinate to get the same train so we can share a cab? I'm ailing to get the one gets in to Tring at 9:39

Ditto, CoinreauVersial - had a very busy week and this week I'm playing 'catch-up' - if I wasn't doing my two hour school run stint I would be able to justify the time-out for the gym but can't really...;-((

Good plan about the cabs Gwen. Just looked on the Champney's website and it says the nearest station is Berkhamsted. The earliest I can get there is a train that arrives at about 9.50, so if anyone is arriving around that time let me know!

I'm struggling with travel plans as well. I will check my train times & see what train I will be on, it would be good to have someone to share with.

Had my Tuesday swim whilst dd was at brownies - really going to miss that. However I did ask at reception & my card is valid until 30th March unless Pruhealth inform them otherwise, so I am hoping this is true! I am still going to try & squeeze something in on Thursday though not sure how!

I too have been struggling to find time for the gym this week. Had DD's birthday yesterday and my dad's tomorrow plus lots of running around with other stuff. I did enquire at Virgin Active reception and they said that my membership expires at the end of March. That would be great if that's the case.

Stripytop - if I were you, I'd book my Eurostar trip this week. On top of the £50 voucher, we can also get an extra 25% off as we are temporary Pruvitality members. I booked my trip for August yesterday and got my return journey to Paris for the grand price of....wait for it....£1.75!!! How fantastic is that!? The lady on the phone said I would have to send the voucher to her by recorded delivery as the voucher is treated like cash.

Kew - hope you are feeling ok. Really lookinging forward to a day of relaxation on Friday. See you all then.

Ooh, interesting about the gym membership continuing to the end of the month - I'll phone them and check.

Predictably I didn't make it to the gym this evening - too many other things requiring my attention. Angry

Really looking forward to Friday! I might treat myself to something.

Cointreau - I'm at the same gym as you. Be careful how you phrase your questioning. Apparently my membership has no expiry date!!! Let me know what they say though.

Kewcumber · 12/03/2014 23:26

I asked about my expiry date and they promptly cancelled it effective 1 March!!! Pru did manage to get it extended to 15th March again but it was a bit embarassing going in this morning to be told my membership had been cancelled!

Hmmm....interesting. Maybe I'll just keep turning up and wait until the turnstile refuses me.

Hello! Looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow. I'm so excited, haven't had a facial in years, what a treat! I'm aiming for a train from Euston which gets in at 0923 so will look around for anyone else on that train who might like to share a taxi.
Glad you are feeling better Kewcumber, think you deserve a spa trip this week.

Willem I was asking in case there were separate entrances for Spa, Hotel etc. I thought there were more than 8 of us too. I thought there were 10 actually.

Telsa To my shame, I actually feel less fit now than I have for several years. Oh dear. How embarrassing.

Report
CointreauVersial · 13/03/2014 23:51

There were ten of us at the start, for sure (I counted...).

Well, I'm currently snuggled in my childhood bed, a mere 6 miles from Champneys, so I hope I'll be there in good time. See you tomorrow.

(yes, Tesla, I'm feeling the benefits.....certainly fitter and maybe a pound or two lighter).

Bagtrainlady · 14/03/2014 00:01

All ready for tomorrow - I think! I'm driving as it was too tricky to do the train. No idea what one wears to a spa day so any suggestions gratefully received. I feel fitter & a bit more toned but the weight isn't exactly melting off (could be those chips I had earlier - though I am eating so much healthier than I was.) I do also feel more energetic & I can plank for over a minute easy which I certainly couldn't when I started.

Looking forward to seeing you all - pretty sure we are all still here - who did we lose?
