Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Easy Up Pants? Would
you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Good quality and not too wet in the morning.

Q2 Did you find Pampers Easy Up Pants convenient and easy to use or not?

Yes - my daughter could pull them up and down easily by herself. Not sure what that strange little adhesive tape on the back is for?

Q3 Have you ever used similarly designed nappies before with any of your children? If so, how did Pampers Easy Up Pants compare?

Yes own brand Tesco pull ups. Both did an equally good job.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Easy Up Pants to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes as keeps a child dry and comfy overnight.

Q5 We've included some info on how much Pampers Easy Up Pants cost
below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

Supermarket own brands are a lot cheaper but as I only use 1 daily the monthly cost is not too high.

sandywily · 27/07/2013 21:26

Tried size 5. DD is 3 and used only at night.

webster147 · 28/07/2013 08:16

We tested the size 5 Pampers Easy-Up pants, my daughter is 20 months old.

After using the easy-up pants for a few days I was very impressed that were just as absorbent as the usual pampers we use, they offered greater flexibility for my daughter. I would buy them.

I found the easy-up pants very convenient to use, my daughter is getting to an age where she hates lying on the mat to be changed so the fact that she could stand up while I pulled the nappy up was good. I also feel they are preparing her for the next stage of potty training.

I have used Huggies pull-ups in the past with my other children but have found Pampers to be more absorbent.

I would recommend Pampers Easy-up pants to other parents, they are easy to use, very comfortable for the child and just as absorbent as ordinary Pampers nappies.

I usually buy Jumbo packs of nappies so I am very pleased Easy-up's are available in this format, I think the price is reasonable.

emmmmmmmmmmma · 28/07/2013 15:36

Q1: I was very impressed with the Pampers easy up pants. They are bright and colourful (although my son doesn't know who Dora the Explorer is yet) and are very neat and compact. At first I was worried that as they were smaller compared to Active Fit & Baby Dry pampers that they may not be as absorbent, but I was wrong. They lasted just as long and we had no leaks at all. Due to the size we no longer had nappies showing above the trouser line and I think my son felt more freedom with them.

Q2: Yes they were very convenient & easy to use. My son loves the fact he can "step step" into them rather then having to be laid down and changed. The sticky strip which allows them to be kept rolled up after use is a brilliant idea and works well. And as they are smaller they take up less room in my change bag. Win all round!

Q3: Yes, but Pampers have always been by far the best in my opinion

Q4: I have already recommended these to a couple of my NCT friends as they are smaller but just as absorbent and definitely help with nappy change battles as they get older and more independent.

Q5: Yes I think the cost is reasonable. I have just bought some from Tesco when they had a special offer on and they actually worked out cheaper then the nappies I usually buy which is excellent.

HRHwheezing · 28/07/2013 16:10

We tested the pampers easy up pants in a size 6. Only just come to the end of the pack now.
Q1 my overall impression of the pants was a positive one. No leaks and easy to get on and off. Would definitely use them again. Off to buy another pack!

Q2they were easy to use. Especially with a wriggly two year old. I went on a day trip with lo and did a quick and easy nappy change.and no complaints from him so they must be comfy!

Q3 yes, I have used aldi easy ups, and sainsbury's ones as they were free!
I think that the pampers are better but not so competitive on price.

Q4 I would definitely recommend these to friends, no problem

Q5 buying cheaper nappies sometimes is a false economy . I would buy these again. I noticed that these are 2 for £10 in boots so these would be excellent value for money

Thank you for the test.

stitchNting · 28/07/2013 19:04

Thanks for this test, I've been wanting to try these for a while and am glad I got the chance to do so. We were trying the size 4 on my 1 yo DD.

Q1 - My overall impression was good. The were the same quality and look as the other Pampers products we've used. At first, I had no idea what the sticky tab on the back was for (as I've never used pull ups before) and it wasn't that effective. They made changing my wriggly 1 yo DD easier than conventional nappies so yes, I will use them again.

Q2 - Yes. They were good for quick changes and I was surprised they fit my DD so well as she's got chunky thighs.

Q3 - I've not used pull ups before.

Q4 - It already has. My mum was equally impressed with them and we've both recommended them to friends.

Q5 - I was a little surprised that they cost a little more than normal nappies and for less nappies but we've only been using them at night so the cost isn't too bad. If I were to use them every day and for every change I would go for the bigger packs and maybe if they were on offer.

Kerrymur · 28/07/2013 20:18

Matilda, we were trying size 4s.
Q1. Overall I thought the pull-ups were very good, they were reasonably easy to put on and pull off. They have pretty fun patterns and were very versatile against a wriggly bottom!

Q2. The pants were very easy to use until little miss decided she didn't want to be still long enough to put them onto her legs to actually pull up! They are just as easy as nappies but I do think nappies are a little easier to use.

Q3. N/a as I don't have any other babies/children and haven't used other pull-ups on Matilda before.

Q4. I would and have recommended pampers before as they are convenient and do keep bottoms dry! I'm very worried about nappy rash etc and we didn't get a sore bottom so that's a big plus to me!
Q5. I agree that the pants are good value and will definately consider and probably use them more once we start toilet training. For us, for now though, we are going to stick to nappies. 100% though, we will use pull-ups and pampers for the next stage! we currently use te orange value pampers nappies and even though they are "cheap" and not marketed as dry nights, we haven't had any problems with leakages (not to do with te product in hand but general feedback for you!)

Thanks for letting us try the pull-ups! it gives me confidence that we won't be brand changing when Matilda moves onto pants!

Artura · 28/07/2013 20:39

I used size 5's on my 2 1/2 year old.She weighs 2 stone 6 and i think we should have requested the size 6's as the 5's were a bit too snug.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Easy Up Pants? Would
you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Once on they worked well but I did find this size a bit snug on her and tore the sides a couple of times. Like the tab for wrapping them up after use.

Generally
Q2 Did you find Pampers Easy Up Pants convenient and easy to use or not?

Easier to put on "standing up" then lying down. Difficult to put on after a bath though. My daughter is just starting to potty train and I don't think she'd manage to pull them up/down herself.

Q3 Have you ever used similarly designed nappies before with any of your
children? If so, how did Pampers Easy Up Pants compare?

Yes, have used Sainsburys and Aldi nappies previously. Fairly similar to use.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Easy Up
Pants to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Found all the easy up pants similar to use, advantage of the Pampers ones was the tab for wrapping.

Q5 We've included some info on how much Pampers Easy Up Pants cost
below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

More expensive than Aldi/Sainsburys own brand I think.

Featherbag · 28/07/2013 21:36

I tested size 5 with my 22 month old DS.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Easy Up Pants? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Good quality, easy to use, very absorbent and secure.

Q2 Did you find Pampers Easy Up Pants convenient and easy to use or not?

Yes, very much, the sides were extremely stretchy which helped to get them onto a wriggly toddler properly!

Q3 Have you ever used similarly designed nappies before with any of your children? If so, how did Pampers Easy Up Pants compare?

No, so can't compare.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Easy Up Pants to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, because I found them even better in terms of fit and absorbency than Pampers nappies so they gave me confidence daytime and night time and DS thought he was a proper 'big boy'.

Q5 We've included some info on how much Pampers Easy Up Pants cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

A little pricy, but I think they're worth it. DS isn't quite at the potty training stage yet, but it won't be long and I will definitely be buying these again.

down2earthwithabump · 28/07/2013 21:39

Used Size 6 (16kg+) trialed overnight, every night over a couple of weeks and for one day of feeling poorly on a 5 year old DD.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Easy Up Pants? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would use them if I ever had more children, at the smaller end of the scale, however despite an alternative brand having similar sizing, these came up quite small in my opinion and were more prone to leaking. I don't often see this size in Pampers in the supermarket.

Q2 Did you find Pampers Easy Up Pants convenient and easy to use or not?
They were convenient to use in that DD could put them on and off herself, which she clearly would struggle with a regular nappy, and they worked like pants, but the smallness of them, despite being the recommended size for DD by age and weight, were an inconvenience as we had the first leaks for a long time.Sad

Q3 Have you ever used similarly designed nappies before with any of your children? If so, how did Pampers Easy Up Pants compare?
Pampers Easy Up Pants were great on quality but the elastic around the legs was not as snug and the pants themselves came up small compared with other similarly designed nappies. We were only trialing them at night time, but we have used competitor's day-time nappy-pants at night and not had the same problem. We also used them one day when DD was feeling poorly and drifting in and out of sleep during the daytime, and the problem was the same.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Easy Up Pants to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
If the child was at the younger end of the scale, or smaller end of the same scale, I would recommend them as good quality nappy-pants that are comfortable and flexible. Smile However despite Pampers having been my favourite brand of choice for nappies all the way through, I would have to say I preferred an alternative brand to Pampers with regards to easy-ups or equivalent Shock.

Q5 We've included some info on how much Pampers Easy Up Pants cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
To be quite honest they appear less expensive than other brands, which is good, but not good value if they leak... so no.

MoreTeaPenguin · 28/07/2013 21:43

I used size 5s on my nearly 3 year old.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Easy Up Pants? Would
you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
They did the job. In fact they are a bit too good at absorbing the wee and keeping it away from my son's bum, and so he doesn't use the potty anymore, just wees in his pull up. So I wouldn't recommend them for potty training, just for toddlers who hate lying down for a nappy change. I would only buy them again if they had different pictures on them - my son took against Dora the Explorer for some reason and we had to sneak them onto him, hiding her picture!
Q2 Did you find Pampers Easy Up Pants convenient and easy to use or not?
Much easier than putting a nappy onto a squirmy toddler, yes!
Q3 Have you ever used similarly designed nappies before with any of your
children? If so, how did Pampers Easy Up Pants compare?
We've used Huggies pull ups - they were very similar functionally but had Lightning McQueen on them so were a huge hit with my son. In fact he took the packet to bed with him the other night! They also have side-seams that can be undone then re done up, which is handy.
We've also used Boots pull ups - they were a snugger fit than the Huggies and Pampers, but did the job just as well.
Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Easy Up
Pants to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
I'd recommend going with the cheaper non-branded pull-ups unless Pampers were on special offer.
Q5 We've included some info on how much Pampers Easy Up Pants cost
below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
They're more expensive than the Boots pull ups and so I don't think they're good value. I'm also surprised that pull ups are more expensive than nappies - why?

viola01 · 28/07/2013 22:10

girl 2 years old size 5 / i did also tried them on my son 1 year size 5 :)

q1:q2: i love and my boy love them too, but i cant say this same about my 2 y girl, she hate them and she for good few days refuse were them at all, after few times she give up and after that she is almost fine with them. Im not sure will i buy them again i do like how they look on little ones, and how convenient is put them up when is summer time - but it will be little difficult at winter. plus price - with two smallies price is almost all what is matter :(
q3: i didnt try any other brands so i cant compare
q4: i will recomend them for sure - i like how they look on babies, no mess, and not every one cares about price - so if somebody has money should prob invest few euro for superb protection.
q5: value for money in regular price - no :(

mum2twoloudbabies · 28/07/2013 22:55

DS 2.9 size 5. DS is trained during the day and only uses pull ups on a night.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Easy Up Pants? Would
you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
Thicker and softer than own brand. I wouldn't use again these are quite difficult for DS to pull up on his own and I had 2 leak.

Q2 Did you find Pampers Easy Up Pants convenient and easy to use or not?
No more so than an own brand version for less £.

Q3 Have you ever used similarly designed nappies before with any of your
children? If so, how did Pampers Easy Up Pants compare?
Yes, they are softer and with more recognisable characters (although dated) than my usual brand. My own brand have never leaked in 6 months overnight use whereas 2 of these leaked.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Easy Up
Pants to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
No, they cost much more and have had leaks.

Q5 We've included some info on how much Pampers Easy Up Pants cost
below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
No much more expensive than own brand and leak. Think there may be a pattern there in my answers!

Smillsy · 28/07/2013 23:03

My little boy is 7 and a half months and we tried out the Size 4 nappies...

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Easy Up Pants? Would
you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Upon opening our pack I immediately didn't like the Dora design - I not really a fan of licensed characters used on things like nappies, I would rather they saved me a few pennies each time instead of paying for the character rights!
We thankfully had no leaks and they kept our little one dry overnight without becoming too bulky. They did fit well, though each time I put them on I had to take time to check that the elasticated edges inside the pants were positioned properly as it was easy for them to become slightly twisted and not provide proper coverage if not corrected. When removed there were no red rub-marks which is good. We had to be quite cautious when pulling up the pants as we almost ripped one of the sides on a couple of occasions - it makes me wonder if they could withstand a toddler pulling them up at the toilet-training stage, especially as they are quite a snug fit.
Overall I think that they are a perfectly adequate nappy but the design does not win me over - for the foreseeable future we will stick with conventional nappies until we have to consider our options for potty training.

Q2 Did you find Pampers Easy Up Pants convenient and easy to use or not?

Our son is at too wriggly a stage for these to be more convenient to use than a conventional nappy - by the time you get the second foot through a leg hole the first has been removed! They are simple enough to roll up though this can't be done as neatly and tidily as with a conventional nappy. For us there were not really benefits over a conventional nappy.

Q3 Have you ever used similarly designed nappies before with any of your
children? If so, how did Pampers Easy Up Pants compare?

The only pull up style nappies that I have used are Huggies Little Swimmers and Boots own swim nappies - I found that the Pampers Easy Ups were slightly easier to get on but that is probably to be expected versus a swim nappy.
Performance-wise they were as good as Pampers Baby Dry which we used for quite a while, we have now swtiched to Just4Bums from Kiddicare which we find to be just as good.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Easy Up
Pants to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

I might suggest them to someone who is considering options for potty-training but the rip-sides would give me concern - I think there may be better options out there. Also, as they are still a proper nappy in disguise are they sending a mixed message to a toilet-trainee? For younger babies I don't really see the benefit over normal nappies, unless there is a reason that means they are easy to put on - e.g. babies with bad hips who shouldn't have their legs and pelvis lifted up.

Q5 We've included some info on how much Pampers Easy Up Pants cost
below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

Not really, Pampers is an expensive brand anyway and these seem particulary pricey, plus I don't recall seeing them on offer that often, unlike Baby Dry and ActiveFit.

Esmisson · 29/07/2013 09:02

Daughter is 24months old.

Q1 Impression was good. No leaks. The elasticated edges inside the pants did sometimes get tangles so had to make sure this was in the correct place. Easy to put on. My little one has no idea who Dora is so the design had little novelty factor. Didn't really use the sticky strip on the back as mainly forgot it was there to be honest as not used to it.

Q2 Yes they were easy and convenient

Q3 We have used supermarket own brands and the pampers were probably a little better for active kids and marginally easier to put on.

Q4 Yes I would recommend

Q5 Probably not very good value for money. We generally use supermarket own brands as often get offers and we're on a bit of a budget (as I expect are a lot of parents of small children!).

Emmaboulding · 29/07/2013 10:15

We have been testing these for three days now. I have only ever bought Pampers Simply Dry or Baby Dry nappies so I can only compare them to these. As with the other Pampers nappies, they are very comfortable, durable and keep dry through the night. I think the pull ups are great as my daughter is 21 months old and likes to feel grown up so having a nappy which is more like knickers makes her very happy. I think the pull ups are designed more for a child who is established in potty training but I don't think we are quite there yet.

katiefllr · 29/07/2013 10:42

we have been testing these for 5 days now and casey is loving them> I have only ever brought simply dry before> they keep my baby girl really dry and are easy to take down and change. I feel the nappies would be better for a child that can walk as my daughter has problems with her legs and cant walk so is not pottie training yet it would still be easier to use simply dry nappies.

Overreactionoftheweek · 29/07/2013 12:57

DS is 21 months and we tried size 5.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Easy Up Pants? Would
you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
I wouldn't use them again as I found they fill up way too fast and then fell off my son!

Q2 Did you find Pampers Easy Up Pants convenient and easy to use or not?
very convenient to get on my child and helpful to get him used to pulling up pants.

Q3 Have you ever used similarly designed nappies before with any of your
children? If so, how did Pampers Easy Up Pants compare?
no.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Easy Up Pants to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
I wouldn't because I didn't think they were very good as they didn't seem to hold much wee and fell off easily.

Q5 We've included some info on how much Pampers Easy Up Pants cost
below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
not good value for the reasons I mentioned above.

Abs123349 · 29/07/2013 14:16

We tried the size 4 on our 18 month old.
A1, This is a product we have used on our other children & will use again in the future.
A2, Easy to use & does not leak with an active 18 month old.
A3, Have tried various brands but have always gone back to Pampers.
A4, Yes i would & have recommend them to family & friends.
A5, When comparing cost & quality Pampers comes out on top.

StarsAboveYou · 29/07/2013 14:24

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Easy Up Pants? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Overall, I liked the pull ups, they are a much neater fit than the same size of nappy (5) and seemed comfortable for my DS (16months) to wear.

I would use them again but would go up to a 5+ as they became full very quickly. This could be because of the warm weather and increased drinking but I did go through more pull ups in a day than I would have nappies and they did leak (pee and poo) on a few occasions.

However, having said that, I will probably stick with nappies until he is older and nearer potty training as the pull ups are more expensive and I use more of them in a day.

Q2 Did you find Pampers Easy Up Pants convenient and easy to use or not?

They were very easy to use and made changing my DS much easier.

Q3 Have you ever used similarly designed nappies before with any of your
children? If so, how did Pampers Easy Up Pants compare?

No
Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Easy Up Pants to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

I wouldn't until I had tried out the bigger size for the reasons mentioned above
Q5 We've included some info on how much Pampers Easy Up Pants cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

No, they are more expensive than the same size of nappy and there are less in a pack.

Lidabefliese · 29/07/2013 16:34

Q1 really liked them, little one found them comfy

Q2 much more convenient as lo is a fidget at changing time.

Q4 yes I would

Q5 similar price to normal nappies would be better

Anusia86 · 29/07/2013 17:13

Q1 very comfy, easy to pull up and down, definitely will use them again

Q2 very easy to use, much more faster changing than nappy

Q3 no

Q4 I would recommend Pampers, so convenient to use and so absorbent in same time.

Q5 Quite expensive

1033MICHELLE · 29/07/2013 17:39

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Easy Up Pants? Would
you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
I liked these as they were very absorbant and easy to get on and off. I may buy them again for night time wear.

Q2 Did you find Pampers Easy Up Pants convenient and easy to use or not?
Yes easy to use and my son seemed comfy in them too.

Q3 Have you ever used similarly designed nappies before with any of your
children? If so, how did Pampers Easy Up Pants compare?
This is the first time I have used anything like these.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Easy Up
Pants to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes I will recommend these to others.

Q5 We've included some info on how much Pampers Easy Up Pants cost
below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
I would prefer them to be a bit more competitive and I would buy them but not for use all the time.

1033MICHELLE · 29/07/2013 17:43

Forgot to say my little one is 18 months old and used size 5

NoodieRoodie · 29/07/2013 19:09

DS is 20 months and we tried size 5

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Easy Up Pants? Would
you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

looked good, similar thickness to normal nappies

Q2 Did you find Pampers Easy Up Pants convenient and easy to use or not?

No, they were easy to put on but hard to get off and required full undressing from the waist down (especially after poo) including shoes whereas with a normal nappy everything just gets pulled down to the ankles and the nappy changed.

Q3 Have you ever used similarly designed nappies before with any of your
children? If so, how did Pampers Easy Up Pants compare?

No, this was my first try of pull ups

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Easy Up
Pants to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

No, I'd be more inclined to suggest just using normal pants

Q5 We've included some info on how much Pampers Easy Up Pants cost
below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

Not really, I think they're expensive for what they are.
