My son is 3yrs old and tried Easy Up Pants size 5

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Easy Up Pants? Would
you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
I'm very satisfied with the product. We started potty training 3 weeks ago and still use Easy Up Pants when we are out and about and at the nursery. My son doesn't wet himself any more but he feels more confident when he wears them, as he is sure that even if he has an accident, no one will tell!

Q2 Did you find Pampers Easy Up Pants convenient and easy to use or not?
Yes, my son can pull them up and down quite easily with a little or no help from me, most of the times

Q3 Have you ever used similarly designed nappies before with any of your
children? If so, how did Pampers Easy Up Pants compare?
Pampers Easy Up are the only one we have tried

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Easy Up
Pants to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, I would. They certainly helped us, so why not help other parents as well?!

Q5 We've included some info on how much Pampers Easy Up Pants cost
below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
Pampers products in general are guaranteed value for money. Great products, in a fair price!

AnnoyedByAlfieBear · 22/07/2013 15:43

We tried size 4.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Easy Up Pants? Would
you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

We really liked them. They were nice and soft and looked good, as well as having good absorption. They did not come up very high at the back which I would prefer as DS has high-rising poos! I would use them again if the price was comparable with supermarket own brands.

Q2 Did you find Pampers Easy Up Pants convenient and easy to use or not?
Very easy to use (once I got them past DS wriggly feet!) and no baby trying to escape as he doesn't want to lay there. The sealing tape is a good idea but does not seal the sides of the nappy when there has been an explosive poo.

Q3 Have you ever used similarly designed nappies before with any of your
children? If so, how did Pampers Easy Up Pants compare?

I've never tried anything similar but I'd heard from a friend with older DC (3&5) that pull-ups are usually not as good as regular nappies and needed changing more often. This was not the case at all.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Easy Up
Pants to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, if parents were looking for a pull-up option or had a baby that wanted to stand up during nappy changes.

Q5 We've included some info on how much Pampers Easy Up Pants cost
below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

They are expensive compared to own brands but are better quality.

AnnoyedByAlfieBear · 22/07/2013 15:44

PS my DS has just turned 1 a couple of days ago and is wearing size 4.

Indith · 22/07/2013 17:23

Dd is 4 and a half and we have size 6

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Easy Up Pants? Would
you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Overall probably not. I have used them before in a pinch when we've run out and had to nip to the local shops rather than go to Lidl but they don't seem as good as lidl to me. They seem to be a bit more narrow and get up her bum crack at times which isn't comfortable for her and that can make them leak too. Wet beds are no fun.

Q2 Did you find Pampers Easy Up Pants convenient and easy to use or not?

Yes they are fine. Dd can easily pull them on and off herself.

Q3 Have you ever used similarly designed nappies before with any of your
children? If so, how did Pampers Easy Up Pants compare?

Yes I have, see above.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Easy Up
Pants to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

No, not that I talk about nappies too much but tbh there are other brands that do the same job.

Q5 We've included some info on how much Pampers Easy Up Pants cost
below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

They are about double the price of the Lidl version and given that the Lidl ones work better for us I'm going to say no!

My DS is 34 months old and we were trialling the Size 5 Easy Up Pants

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Easy Up Pants? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
My overall impression was generally positive. We are just beginning potty training so, for me, there were definite benefits to having a pull-up i.e speed in getting them on and off, absorbency for accidents and enabling my DS to feel like he was wearing 'big boy pants'. He is an active boy and they were able to cope with real activity without looking like they were pinching or too tight around the top of the legs or waist. I did have a couple of 'gripes', the first of which was the sticky tab on the back. I understand why it is there but, to an approaching-three-year-old, who is running around in a nappy due to being potty-trained and the heat, it is just too much to resist. We found he reached around the back and pulled on the tab, ripping the nappy and releasing the absorbent material. Not ideal. We ended up having to cut the tab off before the nappy was put on, which defeats the objective really.
The second issue I had, which may sound a bit strange, is that, for a product which is viewed as being a transition between nappy and potty-training, they are too absorbent! DS was quite comfortable to continue wearing them, despite having done a wee, and we were oblivious to the fact that he had done one in them!
I would use them again, but maybe before the potty training stage or for longer journeys where an accidental wee would be more likely.

Q2 Did you find Pampers Easy Up Pants convenient and easy to use or not?
Yes very convenient and very easy. DS has coped well with pulling them on and taking them off himself. He was also fast becoming fascinated with ripping the tabs open on his Active Fits, particularly at night, and the Easy Up Pants avoid this problem.

Q3 Have you ever used similarly designed nappies before with any of your children? If so, how did Pampers Easy Up Pants compare?
Yes. With DS1 we used Huggies and they seem almost identical (we used to have to cut the tabs of those as well!)

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Easy Up Pants to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, I would, but I would mention the pros and cons as per my answer to Q1. They are great for a certain stage of baby's development, but straight into normal pants may be a better solution for potty-training.

Q5 We've included some info on how much Pampers Easy Up Pants cost
below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

No, I don't think they are great value for money, but I think Pampers customers are fairly loyal and it won't make a great deal of difference. I would be interested in trying own-store brands to compare for actual value for money.

geetz · 22/07/2013 18:05

My son is 21 months old,and we tried the size 5 Easy Up Pants.

Q1:- The nappies have a great child friendly design on them.Appeals to the kids.

Q2:-I found them easy to use as my son wriggles alot and was easier to pull them on rather than trying to lie him down and change him.He was able to pull them down on his own.

Q3:-I have tried these before, but he wasn't ready to be so independant before.

Q4:-I would definetly reccomend these to other mums who are thinking of potty training. These are a good way to get the child used to pulling up and down their own pants.Great for the transition from nappies to potty training.

Q5:-I think they are slightly expensive, cost per pull up.If you want to ease the transition from nappies to potty training then worth it.Will look out and buy when they are on offer.

hw82cj73 · 22/07/2013 20:38

Our daughter is 10 months old and we tried the size 4 Easy Up nappies.

Q1) Our daughter is too young to understand who Dora is but I would imagine this appeals to slightly older children. I would use them again but would probably only buy them when on offer.

Q2) The nappies were easy to use and ideal for our wriggly baby. Ideal and easy for when there are no spare hands to keep her still when she tries to escape during a nappy change!

Q3) First experience of using these nappies. Probably wouldn't recommend for a younger age than 10 months when our daughter could stand unaided to pull them up.

Q4) I would recommend for those with children who can stand unaided.

Q5) Personally I think they are quite expensive for what they are and wonder if that is due to Dora being on them. I think they would appeal just as much to children without Dora on them.

PseudoBadger · 22/07/2013 21:33

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Easy Up Pants? Would
you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I think they look and feel better than Huggies pull ups. However, I will only use them in emergencies as DS complained of either a sore willy or painful urination whilst wearing them. He's only 2 and a half so it wasn't clear which, but I changed him to a 'normal' nappy and he was fine. Weird....

Q2 Did you find Pampers Easy Up Pants convenient and easy to use or not?

Yes, they are easy to put on and are nice and roomy, and stay on well. It would be nicer to have another way to open the sides up when changing rather than having to rip them open.

Q3 Have you ever used similarly designed nappies before with any of your
children? If so, how did Pampers Easy Up Pants compare?

Yes I've used Huggies. Pampers were softer and better fitting I think.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Easy Up
Pants to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

I'd say they are comfortable, but I couldn't recommend them as DS didn't like them.

Q5 We've included some info on how much Pampers Easy Up Pants cost
below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

Quite expensive, but all branded nappies are!

nitka · 22/07/2013 21:33

Q1 I'm very impressed with Pampers Easy Up Pants! They are easy to put on a wriggly baby, they look good as well.
I am definitely going to use them again, in fact I am going to use only them from now on. They are easy to pull up and take off, they are great protection, and most of all it saves me from chasing my boy over the room to change his nappy lol We've started potty training few weeks ago, so he can get use to it, and using pull up pants it's a great idea!! I personally love them

Q2 Pampers Easy Up Pants are very convenient and easy to use!!

Q3 I didn't use nothing like that before

Q4 I would recommend Pampers Easy Up to my friends and other parents. They are really good choice, when your baby is very active and when you having problems with putting on normal nappies. We've started using them when my boy was 10 months ant that was a great move. They are also good protection, no leaking ect.

Q5 They are not the cheapest but surely worth every penny. Plus the shops are doing different deals so you can get them cheaper :)

PseudoBadger · 22/07/2013 21:34

I'm sorry, DS is 2 and a half and we tried size 5.

littlemonkeychops · 22/07/2013 21:42

Q.1. Overall impression was good, I've been using them on DD for nightime and naps whilst potty training. As we'd made a huge fuss of getting her 'big girl' pants for daytime she didn't want to wear nappies to sleep in anymore so these were ideal. I would definitely use them again depending on cost (see below).

Q.2. Yes very convenient. Not that easy to put on but the othet brand I've tried were the same so i think it's just the nature of pull-ups.

Q.3. The only other brand I've tried are Aldi Mammia ones. The fit of them wasn't quite as good but they were about 1/3 cheaper

Q.4. Yes I would

Q.5. They're not cheap. I do really like them, and will stock up when they're on offer but at normal price would probably have to opt for a cheaper alternative.

boptanana · 23/07/2013 00:20

Dd is 2 and we have size 5

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Easy Up Pants? Would
you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes they don't leak when we use them at night.

Yes Huggies pull ups which dig into my daughters skin

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Easy Up
Pants to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes
Q5 We've included some info on how much Pampers Easy Up Pants cost
below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
No they are quite expensive imo

mrsbjunior · 23/07/2013 10:16

We have just finished our pack of size 5.
Q1. The pull ups are quite thick which seems to restrict movement a bit.
Q2. These are convenient to use as DS can stand up for quick changes.
Q3. Have used training pants which I preferred as they were thinner. Pull ups, not used before.
Q4.would recommend if you have a wriggly independent toddler
Q5. I do think these are over priced. Own brands are cheaper and seem to do the job equally well.

Sugarkane · 23/07/2013 10:17

Q1 Overall impression on the Easy Up Pants was very good, they seemed very absorbent and easy to put on

Q2 Very easy to use, I found them great as DS is going through a stage of removing his nappy but he was happy to keep the Easy Up Pants on.

Q3 Only ever used Pampers Easy Up Pants before

Q4 I would recommend them but would also warn that they dont keep the child's skin as dry feeling unlike a nappy

Q5 Average value for Pampers but really wish there were more in a pack

Lexi82 · 23/07/2013 10:25

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Easy Up Pants? Would
you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Easy to get on and off, not so good if your child does a poo in them as the sides don't close and the tape at the back isn't strong enough or very long.

Q2 Did you find Pampers Easy Up Pants convenient and easy to use or not?
They were easy for my son to put on and take off himself.

Q3 Have you ever used similarly designed nappies before with any of your
children? If so, how did Pampers Easy Up Pants compare?

We used huggies before, and also sainsburys which in my opinion are a lot better.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Easy Up
Pants to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

No as i don't like them, if the sides did up when used it would be a lot better.

Q5 We've included some info on how much Pampers Easy Up Pants cost
below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

No, you don't get many in the pack for the price you pay.

WhyIRayLiotta · 23/07/2013 11:32

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Easy Up Pants?
They are quite good. I've not used pull-ups before - just regular nappies but DD didn't seem phased at all. I liked being able to stick them on while she is standing up!

Q2 Did you find Pampers Easy Up Pants convenient and easy to use or not?
Easy to put on toddler standing up! DD seemed as comfortable as in her normal nappy.

Q3 Have you ever used similarly designed nappies before with any of your children?
No - first time using any type of pull-up.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Easy Up Pants to other parents?
Yes I would, but only if they complained about wriggly toddler etc.

Q5 We've included some info on how much Pampers Easy Up Pants cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
They seem expensive to me and it would put me off. I usually stock up when nappies are on offer and I think I might buy them if they are on offer.

WhyIRayLiotta · 23/07/2013 11:40

*also DD is 20 months old. She didn't seem interested in the pictures but I thought they were cute Grin

ThatsSoVanquish · 23/07/2013 11:41

Thanks for the nappies!
DD is 2y0m and we used size 4.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Easy Up Pants? Would
you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
At first I thought they looked very small and was not optimistic they would fit well and be absorbent but I was pleasantly surprised. I would use them again.

Q2 Did you find Pampers Easy Up Pants convenient and easy to use or not?
Yes. DD struggles a lot when getting her nappy changed. It was much easier to put these on than having to line up tabs. My parents babysit 2 days a week and forgot how to use them so didn't tear them off when changing a poop filled nappy. So I would remind people that they tear off easily! Now they remember to do this they are converted. Yesterday my Dad was complaining about having to use a normal nappy as he is onverted to pull-ups!

Q3 Have you ever used similarly designed nappies before with any of your
children? If so, how did Pampers Easy Up Pants compare?
Have only used conventional nappies.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Easy Up
Pants to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, I would recommend them. Particularly for people who have wriggly octopus children, they are much easier to get on quickly! Also they don't dig in at the hips like tabs sometimes do.

Q5 We've included some info on how much Pampers Easy Up Pants cost
below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

I think they are reasonable. I would look out for offers as I am sure I've seen them cheaper than this. I'd certainly be willing to pay this however.

keely79 · 23/07/2013 12:21

DS is 18.5 months and we used size 5 (he's a big lad..)

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Easy Up Pants? Would
you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Nice and soft. Pulled up well and fitted nicely. Might buy again on special offer, but in general he is pretty good about lying down to have a new nappy on. Haven't tried them at night yet - he sometimes leaks even with the Pampers baby dry so not sure if these would be up to the job.

Q2 Did you find Pampers Easy Up Pants convenient and easy to use or not?

Convenient in that he could step in, but you did have to take his trousers fully off first which you don't with normal nappies - led to some resistance about getting the trousers back on...

Q3 Have you ever used similarly designed nappies before with any of your
children? If so, how did Pampers Easy Up Pants compare?

Yes - used with my first child. I liked the tab to hold them closed - useful. I think it would be good if the side tabs could be opened and closed more easily to give you an option re. how to put them on.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Easy Up
Pants to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Probably not - only because can't see myself recommending nappies to anyone!

Q5 We've included some info on how much Pampers Easy Up Pants cost

A little expensive but might buy if on offer.

Penny6Pence · 23/07/2013 12:30
  1. What was your overall impression of PEUP? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
I found PEUP to be ok in general. On the plus-side, they are soft and absorbent. On the negative-side, I found them to be difficult to manage during dirty nappy changes. They also split down the sides a few times when I was pulling them on my child. Otherwise the fit of the nappy was fine so I don?t believe the tearing was due to them being too small but they could have been stronger overall to withstand the pulling up and pulling down which needs to be done with a squirming toddler without tearing. The nappies also felt very differently to regular Baby Dry nappies and, as a result, it was more difficult to convince my toddler to try them as they seemed to her to be a totally different nappy. I feel that if they had the same feel as the Baby Dry nappies she would have been more inclined to give them a try. The characters on the nappy were not familiar to us at all and so it would be have been easier to get her interested in pictures of animals or something more general like that. I have no idea what the sticky tab on the back was supposed to do.

  2. Did you find PEUP convenient and easy to use or not?
If you are just dealing with wet nappies, then they are quite easy and convenient but when it comes to dirty nappies they were much harder than regular nappies to cleanly change. Perhaps there is a trick to this but I found it rather difficult to manage them when changing a dirty nappy.

  3. Have you ever used similarly designed nappies before with any of your children? If so, how did PEUP compare?
This was my first time using this type of nappy.

  4. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend PEUP to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
No, I don?t think so. On the contrary, I would explain the problems I had with the splitting and ask for a recommendation myself of a nappy that did not have this issue.

  5. We?ve included some info on how much PEUP cost below. Do you think they?re good value for money or not? Why?
They are expensive and I would only consider purchasing them if I could secure some kind of discount e.g. during baby events. In order to justify the price, they would need to be more robust during changes and I would also prefer a nicer design/illustration than the ones currently on them.

stephask1987 · 23/07/2013 12:58

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Easy Up Pants?

I like the fact that the back of the nappy is elasticated which helps keep the poo in! I have had a battle with nappies leaking poo out the back which results in whole outfit changes which isn't ideal for me and not nice for my Daughter. The fact that they are elasticated makes them look much neater too! I haven't been putting a vest/bodysuit under my Daughter's outfits for the last 2 weeks due to this hot weather and the normal nappies look loose and scruffy, the pull ups look much nicer and tidier.

I also like that they have Dora the explorer on them too! It would be really good if Pampers also done girly nappies and boy themed nappies.

I would buy these nappies again, but maybe not until my Daughter is standing so it is easier to pull them up.

The only slight negative is that I found the nappies came up small compared to other nappies that are a size 4.

Q2 Did you find Pampers Easy Up Pants convenient and easy to use or not?

Yes I found them easy to use on my 8 month old, however they will be even easier when she is older so she can stand up so I can pull them up easier.

Q3 Have you ever used similarly designed nappies before with any of your

No, this is my first baby.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Easy Up Pants to other parents?

Yes, I would recommend parents to try them if they find nappies are leaking out the back as I found the elasticated back helped.

Q5 We've included some info on how much Pampers Easy Up Pants cost
below - do you think that they're good value for money or not?

I think the pricing is ok, maybe a bit high but it all depends what is on offer at the time. I do wonder why they have to be more expensive as it is the same amount of materials used really.

DatsunCogs · 23/07/2013 14:02

Right, DS has been almost nappy free for a while as it's been so hot...we've now tried them enough to comment. He is almost 22 months. We tried size 5.

I like the nappies and will buy them again. We're not potty training yet but these are great for babies who don't keep still when being changed ( all of them? Certainly mine!) I used them with my DD too although I gather they've changed the design.
Things I like: the sticky strip so you you can shut them when used
General stretchiness and ease of use. Nice non plasticky material.
Not so sure: They are quite 'low cut' - DS has 4+ in nappies and we tried size 5 - you can see his bum crack in them. There hasn't been any leaks so far but I fear when a particularly sticky poo arrives...
Dora - We don't have whatever channel Dora is on, think ideally I would prefer another character although really it's not a big deal.
Value: I think they're quite expensive but I feel worth the money.
I would recommend them if asked.

vickydutt80 · 23/07/2013 15:22

My son is 2 and we tried size 5, he is quite big so could have done with size 6 to be honest.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Easy Up Pants? Would
you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
Very impressed!! So much easier at his age to whip easy ups off when he's standing if its just a wet nappy. We have also started potty training so these are a great help as they can be quickly and easily pulled down. My son didnt have a clue who Dora is so maybe some more recognisable characters?

Q2 Did you find Pampers Easy Up Pants convenient and easy to use or not?
Yes very easy. They can be taken off when child standing and new easy up can be stepped in by child. So much easier than trying to get a 2 year old to lie still!! Great to have the sticky strip on the back so it can be kept shut when used.

Q3 Have you ever used similarly designed nappies before with any of your children? If so, how did Pampers Easy Up Pants compare?
No first time I have used any pull ups so can't compare.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Easy Up Pants to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes definatley for slightly older children that can step in out of them to help parents.

Q5 We've included some info on how much Pampers Easy Up Pants cost
below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
I think they are reasonable for what they are. Obviously the supermarkets have cheaper nappies but in my opinion you can't beat Pampers for quality.

Scrambledchocpancake · 23/07/2013 15:25

My child is aged 2 1/2 years and we had size 5 pull ups
Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Easy Up Pants? Would
you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
My overall impression was good. They are very easy to put on and can be very simple to change especially when out and about and in a small toilet cubicle that has no baby changer! The pictures on them were liked although she would have preferred Cinderella ;)
Q2 Did you find Pampers Easy Up Pants convenient and easy to use or not?
Yes. They went up very easily and were robust when she fancied going to the toilet going up and down! Although when she had a poo in them getting them off was a little horrid and also when they got heavy they would fall down.
Also though if I was toilet training I would like them to know that they had wet themselves and with this nappy there is no indication for them other than the nappy getting heavy over time. I thought the idea of this was to let them feel the wet?
Q3 Have you ever used similarly designed nappies before with any of your
children? If so, how did Pampers Easy Up Pants compare?
I have used Huggies pullups whilst waiting for the Pampers sample to arrive. The Huggies were favoured slightly as they had a wet indicator so it was easy to see if they needed to be changed. The designs on them were also favoured as Cinderella is a favourite here!
However the Pampers came out top when it came to disposing. The sticky strip came in very helpful to keep it contained although the sides needed something to keep everything in!
Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Easy Up
Pants to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes I would recommend them to other parents and I already have! As they are like a normal nappy they are very convenient to put on. Especially with a child who hated to have her nappy changed. The fights at nappy time have ended!
Q5 We've included some info on how much Pampers Easy Up Pants cost
below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
Well the mega pack is good value for money as they are very similar price per nappy than ordinary nappies. The other packs are way more expensive.
I guess you pay more for the convenience but it shouldn't be that much more than the other nappies. People would just but the cheaper alternative or stick with ordinary nappies.

Thank you for including us in this trial. We have enjoyed it very much! Smile
