Overall impression is a fairly decent but the fit for my DS wasnt as snug on his back as it could have been - I have a very skinny boy!
Compared to other brands they were good, but not hugely so - ive not the whole 12 hours I had hoped for at night.
Good (but not great) value for money. I would recommend but I would also recommend Asda First Pants also.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Easy Up Pants? Would
you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I thought the Easy Ups were great. No leakage after 12 hours sleep. We still change my DD on a changing table, but they were still easy to use.
The only reason I wouldnt use them again would be because we use Pampers Baby Dry which are just as good but slightly cheaper.

Q2 Did you find Pampers Easy Up Pants convenient and easy to use or not?

Yes, they were easy and convenient.

Q3 Have you ever used similarly designed nappies before with any of your
children? If so, how did Pampers Easy Up Pants compare?

We're not anywhere close to potty training yet, so haven't tried any other similar nappies.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Easy Up
Pants to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, but only if money was no object. They are a fun alternative to nappies, especially for older kids who like Dora etc.

Q5 We've included some info on how much Pampers Easy Up Pants cost
below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

I don't think they are necessarily good value. As I said, we use baby dry and have never had a complaint. I think Easy Ups may be a little gimmicky if it's aimed at potty training, because it's still a proper nappy.

Pics · 20/07/2013 09:27

I have been using these for a week on my 2 yr old (approaching 3) who is ready for potty training but has chosen a terrible week to do so ......

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Easy Up Pants? Would
you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
I like the way the front and back were easy to distinguish (important to keep the sealing tab out of sight of child!) - but i can;t bear Dora and would honestly be put off buying them with a link to a cartoon like this.
She normally wears size 4 or 4+ Pampers - but i found these smaller than i expected - which might be good as not theoretically as bulky as a nappy and when she wees in them they are full quicker (so she notices more) but it made them awkward to change. novelty of pull up nappies wore off for her quite quickly as she couldn't put them on and off herself - so i probably wouldn't use them again - and for the reasons below in Q2.

Q2 Did you find Pampers Easy Up Pants convenient and easy to use or not?
They are easy if she is wearing a skirt/dress and no shoes - but a night mare to get on if not as they get caught on shoes and trousers have to come off. I find them a bit tricky to pull up, as does she, They are easy to rip open, but she can;t take them off herself which is a shame.

Q3 Have you ever used similarly designed nappies before with any of your
children? If so, how did Pampers Easy Up Pants compare?
Yes - i have used another brand in a bigger size which were easier to pull up and down - but this may have been the same if i had gone for size 5 in the trial instead of size 4.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Easy Up
Pants to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
I might recommend the concept, and say that they don;t leak - but I am not completely sold on the concept.

Q5 We've included some info on how much Pampers Easy Up Pants cost
below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
I think they compare well in price to other Pampers which i pay a little more for as they just don't leak!

lykewake · 20/07/2013 09:32

Alice is 13 months and we tried the size 4.

Q1 I was excited to try them...I love free stuff!! Alice is very mobile and we have been toilet training for a while, she doesn't really like lying down to get her nappy on, so standing up is the preferred option. I figured pull ups may be easier than trying to get the velcro tabs done up on a fidgeting child. Alice didn't really seem to notice the difference, but I felt like she was more grown up in them. They were a bit easier and probably if Alice could have pulled the pants up on her own they would have been great, however I did manage to break a few trying to get them up a wriggly child. They performed as i expected Pampers to do in terms of absorbency etc., however was unable to tell if Alice had wee'd in her nappy or not due to this. These would be brilliant overnight for older kids though. If we have not cracked toilet training in another year or so I would consider this type of nappy, however looking at the cost of Pampers Easy Ups, probably not this brand.

Q2 They did not differ greatly from standard nappies for us, the sticky strip was weird as well, great that it opened up but then you had an exposed sticky bit of strip.

Q3 This is my first time with pull up nappies.

Q4 My friends saw Alice was wearing Easy Up nappies, from our discussion we concluded that they would be great for overnights with older children. I think the fact that it makes your child seem more grown up was appealing.

Q5 They are not good value for money. My current nappy is less than half the price of these and although it is not a pull up type nappy, the peformance for a child at this age equals that of Pampers.

huuggs · 20/07/2013 10:03

Please state the age of your child and the size of Easy Up Pants you
were trying in your response.

LO 9 Month old Size 5 (i also breed them big it seems) :)

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Easy Up Pants? Would
you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not? They are good as he is a figit bum when comes to nappy changes and putting his pants on and pulling up holding on to moma he seems to like (as i do when i out trousers on to try and control where he moves to) if you put a normal nappy on and don`t give him a toy he will just try and crawl off.
Q2 Did you find Pampers Easy Up Pants convenient and easy to use or not? Not for the explosive nappies. Its hard to rip them off. Its not as easy to keep an explosive nappy contained in the nappy after removal (but you want them to easy to rip off as the lo will do it themselves)
Q3 Have you ever used similarly designed nappies before with any of your
children? If so, how did Pampers Easy Up Pants compare? nope first time
Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Easy Up
Pants to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not? I say try them. Because every parent and child are different. When my little one is older i may like them more. esp when potty training but for now i stick to my usual Active fit.
Q5 We've included some info on how much Pampers Easy Up Pants cost
below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why? They seem to cost the same as normal nappies ish. You may get less in the pack but that seems to happen as the child gets older.

  1. I really like Pampers Easy Up Pants and I use them very often, but usually only when they are on offer as they are quite expensive compared to the supermarket brands. I don't know that they really help with potty training for the simple reason that they are extremely absorbent and when my 3 year old has them on, he feels so comfy he likes to wee and poo in them. For potty training purposes, it's better they get the sense of going without a nappy.
  1. Easy Up pants fit my big 3 year old snugly and there is no leakage.
I have been using them as an alternative to the other kind of disposable nappies since my son was about 1. They are so much more convenient to take on and off especially for a wriggly child. However, they can be hard to take on and off when your child is asleep. Better to use traditional disposables for a sleeping child. Another downside is that the nappies are not marked FRONT or BACK and my son isn't a great fan of Dora the Explorer which is printed on the nappy. And I have also just figured out what the sticky tab on the back is for! (I guess that is one way of distinguishing front from back as the tab is on the back)
  1. I have used supermarket brands. The good thing about Pampers Easy Ups is that the material is very soft and good for babies with sensitive skin.
  1. Yes, I would recommend them to other parents because they are reliable, secure and easy to take on and off.
  1. Easy Ups are more expensive than the supermarket brands, but if you buy the big packs and when they are on offer, they can be reasonable.

I haven't received mine still and have had no contact after sending 3 emails to mumsnet. I was really looking forward to trying these.

Gracenat · 20/07/2013 15:46

Baby ages 7 mths using size 4

Q1What was your overall impression of Pampers Easy Up Pants? Wouldyou use them again? i thought they looked good they seemed smaller than the regular size 4 but fit great, liked the Dora character although my son is a bit young for characters but he's crawling and nappy changes have become a battle so I really liked the fact that if he wriggled away I could still pull them up, they haven't leaked on me

Q2 Did you find Pampers Easy Up Pants convenient and easy to use or not? Yes very easy

Q3 Have you ever used similarly designed nappies before with any of your
children? If so, how did Pampers Easy Up Pants compare?
First time using pull ups
Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Easy Up
Pants to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
It hasn't yet but I would recommend for very active babies like mine who just won't stay still
Q5 We've included some info on how much Pampers Easy Up Pants cost
below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
I do think there a bit expensive compared to regular nappies I will buy them if they are on special and probably only occasionally otherwise

portiapinks · 20/07/2013 16:40

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Easy Up Pants? Would
you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I found them great 95% of the time, we did have a accident when my little boy had a poo. They leaked. But other than that found them really good. I would buy them again.

Q2 Did you find Pampers Easy Up Pants convenient and easy to use or not?
They were really easy to use. Putting them on, just got to make sure that they are on right. My little boy had no problems using them like pants.

Q3 Have you ever used similarly designed nappies before with any of your
children? If so, how did Pampers Easy Up Pants compare?

I have tried asdas own version, they were rubbish. They leaked, fell apart. My little boy likes to pull at his nappies and when he did that with the asda ones they fell off him. He did try with the pampers and they stayed on him

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Easy Up
Pants to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would recommend them, they are very easy up pants.

Q5 We've included some info on how much Pampers Easy Up Pants cost
below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

That's the only thing that puts me off the pampers the price, all the other brands of easy up pants are cheaper. But then they don't work as well as pampers.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Easy Up Pants? Would
you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
Really great product lasted 12 hours + through the night no leaks, not as bulky as others, the material is also very soft compared to others and very easy to put on. I would use these again if on promotion as I find them to be quite expensive.

Q2 Did you find Pampers Easy Up Pants convenient and easy to use or not?
Yes these were very easy to put on just slipped on like underwear.

Q3 Have you ever used similarly designed nappies before with any of your children? If so, how did Pampers Easy Up Pants compare?
Yes I have and these are one of the best I have tried for fit, no leakage and ease of putting on.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Easy Up
Pants to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes I would as they are a superior product.

Q5 We've included some info on how much Pampers Easy Up Pants cost
below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
They are quite expensive compared to own brand products but on par if not cheaper than the branded ones.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Easy Up Pants? Would
you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
I have already bought lots more in the recent sale with the change of packaging. I like then as DS sees this as more grown up than nappies. AS some other people have said I was disappointed with the design. Presumably Pampers pay to have a character on them, but it is not one that DS has ever seen before. I would think more generic design of animals or something would appeal to more children and reduce costs.
Q2 Did you find Pampers Easy Up Pants convenient and easy to use or not? Yes, easy to put on and get off.
Q3 Have you ever used similarly designed nappies before with any of your
children? If so, how did Pampers Easy Up Pants compare?
No.
Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Easy Up
Pants to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Not sure. They are much more expensive than nappies and I know some parents find it easier to go straight to pants. DS isn't really ready for that so I think as an in between stage of getting him used to the idea of using a potty without risk of accidents is a good idea.
Q5 We've included some info on how much Pampers Easy Up Pants cost
below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
I don't think they are great value for money full price, but I always wait until nappies are on offer and stock up anyway!

Missed off that DS is 2, we tried size 5 although I think size 6 might have fitted better as they were a bit small.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Easy Up Pants? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I found these really good - a million miles better than the own brand I had been using, which are so bad I'm probably going to throw the rest of the pack out as I've needed to do so much washing! They last really well through the night, so goodbye to wet pjs and bedclothes in the morning - one happy mummy! DS can pull up and down himself, again, something that was impossible in my others - I love how stretchy the sides are. I also like the sticky strip in principle as my others have nothing like this, but sometimes find it a bit fiddley and am bewildered as to why the sticky strips seem to go too far so you end up with a sticky bit on the outside...? Not something to put me off though. Prints are pleasing to the eye at the back, but I'm non-plussed by the front - personally, I don't see the point of having characters on them - it's never made my DS excited about getting his nappy on, but maybe that's because he has no idea who most of the characters are (another Dora recipient here - maybe Bob the Builder would have interested him more?)

Q2 Did you find Pampers Easy Up Pants convenient and easy to use or not?

Yes, as mentioned above. DS is pretty much potty trained in the day (which we did without using any kind of easy up), so having 'bedtime pant' that is just as easy for him to use independently is vital to our continued success. The fact that he can now use these alone has almost made him even less accident prone as he now has so much independence 24/7.

Q3 Have you ever used similarly designed nappies before with any of your children? If so, how did Pampers Easy Up Pants compare?

Yes. Again, I've kind of already mentioned it, but these are far superior. They are much softer, stretchier and more absorbent.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Easy Up Pants to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Definitely - I have done already! I mentioned that I didn't use these type of pants to train, as I don't think it helps them to not notice that they've had an accident, but to anyone who wants to go down that route, I would suggest that these are a good purchase, mainly because they are so easy for toddlers to pull up and down themselves.

Q5 We've included some info on how much Pampers Easy Up Pants cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

I ticked yes to this question in the survey, but only because I am using one every 24 hours and so I am willing to pay a bit more for the pant that is up to seeing us through the night. If I were to need to use them more often, I might have no choice but to think twice as money is so tight.

Thank you for allowing me to test - you have a new customer as a result!

Michelle777 · 20/07/2013 21:55

Q1: They are perfect for my LO, she is potty trained during the day but not during night.

Q2: Yes, very easy. My LO likes Dora on the nappy...

Q3: I only use Pampers as they are the only ones that don't leak.

Q4: Yes, absolutely. Would recommend for reasons already mentioned.

Q5: Pampers nappies are not the cheapest available, but I prefer paying more for good quality and watch out for offers.

Pmarten · 20/07/2013 23:39

I tried size 6 Easy Up pants with my 22 month old son.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Easy Up Pants? Would
you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
My overall impression was excellent in comparison to another similar product. They were colourful and comfortable for my son, easy to use and loved the sticky tape to wrap them up.
Q2 Did you find Pampers Easy Up Pants convenient and easy to use or not?
Very easy to use both putting on and taking off
Q3 Have you ever used similarly designed nappies before with any of your
children? If so, how did Pampers Easy Up Pants compare?
Yes, pampers were much more comfortable and slightly stronger at the sides although not so much that they were hard to tear off.
Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Easy Up
Pants to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes I would, they are simple to use and gives the child a sense of independence.
Q5 We've included some info on how much Pampers Easy Up Pants cost
below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
Yes I think they are worth their money, quite simply because they work well and my child is comfortable in them

Helengallimore26 · 21/07/2013 07:49

I tried pampers size 6 with my little boy 2&1/2.

Q1. My overall impression was that they are the best pull up pant I've tried. Huggies aren't v absorbing of poo. But pampers were great.

Q2. Yes there were v convient to use as they were easy to pull on & off, even when my boy was squirming.

Q3. Yes I've tried Huggies before but the pampers ones were far superior. Better fit, lasted longer & better absorption.

Q4. Yes I would definately recommend then to other mums because my little boy found them easy to get up & down without ripping them like he's done with the other brands.

Q5. Yes they are great value for money esp when they on offer as they do the job far better than other products on sale of same type.

lucyrobinson · 21/07/2013 08:25

My review of pampers pull us size 5.
My overall impression was very good. These pull ups were children friendly, even though my son didnt know the characters.
They were not too thick and easy for my son to pull up and down. The only downside I had was the sticky strip on the back kept sticking to my sons t-shirt. I would recommend these over every nappy/pull up I have used. Huggies were the worst (they always leaked). I think these are good value but I try to stock up when they are on offer.

VodkaKnockers · 21/07/2013 12:51

I've been using the pull ups for about a week now with DS2, aged 2.7yrs.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Easy Up Pants? Would
you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

First impressions was they looked a bit small and tight but they were actually very stretchy and comfortable. Was very impressed with the fit and the reliability.

Q2 Did you find Pampers Easy Up Pants convenient and easy to use or not?

At first they looked like a night mare to use, especialy with a wriggly 2 yr old but they actually really simple and easy to use. Made trips to the loo so much easier.

Q3 Have you ever used similarly designed nappies before with any of your
children? If so, how did Pampers Easy Up Pants compare?

I've used Tesco's own brand pull ups and tbh there is no comparison. I found the Tesco ones very bulky and my son found them very difficult to pull up and down whereas with the Pampers pull ups he has no problem at all and it has made toilet training that bit more fun.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Easy Up
Pants to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would recommend Pampers pull ups just due to the ease of use.

Q5 We've included some info on how much Pampers Easy Up Pants cost
below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

I find Pampers slightly more expensive than other brands but I feel that with Pampers you are paying for the quality of a premium brand. I have been using pampers products for 11yrs and would never change to another brand.

VodkaKnockers · 21/07/2013 12:53

Sorry forgit to mention we were using size 5 pull ups.

emily80 · 21/07/2013 13:55

I've been using these with my 4 year old son for night times. Although he's been potty trained in the day since he was 2, he's still wearing a nappy at night so I thought these would be good to help him become dry at night (as he can pull them up and down himself to go to the toilet).

  1. I've been very impressed - they fit him snuggly and comfortably, and seem very absorbent. He has (unfortunately!) been weeing in them at night and we've had no leaks. In terms of their performance I'd definitely use them in future.

  2. They were very easy and convenient, my son can put them on himself which he likes and when he needs the toilet wearing them it is a lot easier to just pull them down than messing around taking off then trying to put back on a normal nappy.

  3. I've used pull ups with him before he was potty trained and they seem similar, I think these are maybe a bit more absorbent though.

  4. Yes I'd recommend them, they've done everything I'd hoped for without leaks or other difficulties.

  5. Personally I think these are very expensive. I certainly wouldn't buy them for that price, as a normal nappy costs a fraction of that and does the same job, it is very useful to be able to pull them up and down but I'm not willing to pay this much extra for it.

emily80 · 21/07/2013 14:17

Sorry, forgot to mention we tried size 5 nappies

Jinty64 · 21/07/2013 17:53

Age 6, size 6, only using overnight.

They were a lovely snug fit and did not show under his pyjamas. I'm not sure they are as absorbent as the pyjama pants as we had one leak (happens sometimes) but they are much neater fitting and we really liked them.

Cheaper than pyjama pants and really soft. I would buy them again.

I used them with 2.6yo DS, size 5.

I liked them a lot, but think I should have got a size bigger, he is a big lad and they often didn't cover his bum entirely, he had a cheek hanging out! I found them very convenient with changing as he is beginning to hate being changed and changing standing up was brilliant. Also, in the hot weather, they were great for whipping off / on in the garden when he wanted to get into the pool.

I found them incredibly messy with poos until I realised you could tear the sides! Other than that, very easy to use.

I have never used anything similar before.

I would certainly recommend them, I really liked them. I will not be using regularly until DS is closer to potty training, as I think they are too expensive to use full time. For the time of potty training and overnight I think they would be fantastic.

Squiglettsmummy2bx · 21/07/2013 18:36
  1. My overall impression was good. I was very impressed & would use these again.
  2. They were convenient & easy to use most if the time although with some outfits it was a pain undressing my ds completely.
  3. I have used morrisons own brand before & found they were not as absorbent. The pampers contained the wee & poo very well.
  4. I would definitely recommend these to anyone potty training or like me with a toddler who doesn't like to lie down for nappy changes.
  5. They are a little bit more expensive than ordinary nappies so ok value but I would try to get them when on special offer.
