NOW CLOSED Mumsnetters needed to test drive the NEW Toyota Verso. Find out more here

We're very excited to be working with Toyota over the next year to celebrate their great range of family cars and we are even more excited to announce that the first thing we're doing is getting MNers behind the wheel of the all new Toyota Verso!

Do you fancy trying out the 7 seat Verso for a fortnight and telling us what you think? You can find out more info about the Verso here - here's what Toyota would like to say about the car: "When it comes to practicality, the Verso is a mum's best friend. Its Easy Flat 7 seating system makes switching between a carload of school friends to a boot full of buggies, a breeze. Thankfully, that doesn't mean it compromises on style and with a sharper, sleeker design, this car creates a powerful presence both on the road and behind the wheel."

Specifically, we're looking for Mumsnetters who have at least 2 children under 10 years and who use the family car to drive their children around most days e.g to/from school, after school activities etc.

The test drives are going to be split into two waves - 4-17 May and 18 May - 1 June, so please only apply if you are around for the duration of one of these waves, and indicate on the sign up form (link below) which wave you'd prefer.

If you're selected to take part, you'll need to pick up the car at your local dealership and Toyota will then arrange to pick the car up from your home at the end of the test.

Testers will be required to add feedback to a thread on Mumsnet throughout the duration of the test drive. Additionally, we'd like 5 testers to provide video feedback via their smart phone to demonstrate the versatility of the Verso, so get your thinking caps on for how to show this in a fun and creative way! The 5 testers who are chosen to provide video feedback will each receive a £30 Love2shop voucher as an additional thank you.
The videos will be hosted on the Mumsnet YouTube channel, used on Toyota's pages on MN and possibly elsewhere.

Now the important stuff
In order to take part in the test drive, you must:
~ be a UK resident
~ be aged 25 years old or over
~ hold a valid UK driving license
~ have no convictions for dangerous driving.
A driver declaration form will need to be completed; proof of identification and a valid driving licence (both photocard if applicable and paper part) will also need to be presented upon collection of vehicle and continue to be valid before the winner can take the test drive.

If you'd like to take part please sign up here.

We'll be in touch with the chosen few by Monday 29th April. If you're not picked this time, there will be plenty more opportunities to test drive other Toyota models later in the year - keep an eye out for these!

Thanks and good luck!

Done :) This car is at the top of my list for when we change our current car in a few months time. Would love the opportunity to test it out for a fortnight before we buy!

Done. Hope I get chosen, been trying to persuade DH that we need a 7 seater but he thinks that they're horrible and ugly and represent us completely giving our identity over to being 'just parents'!!

Done - we're working out what would be best to get as our next family car. I was thinking Qashqai+2 but would be interested to see how this one goes.

DeadWomanWalking and firawla you can still sign up, just make sure you say who will be the main driver in the 'who else will be driving' box. You'll also need to ask your partners for their feedback on the thread.

Imflabulous you don't need to have had a driving license for 3 years to be able to take part.

Does the mnetter of the house have to be on the video? Can I video DH?

Do the DCs have to be under 10? Mine are 6 and 14- but still need running around! Eldest and her mates more than my youngest.

I agree. I've two over 10 and 1 under. The insistence on under 10s makes me think there isn't much leg room.

Am I being blind? What is the incentive apart from the £30 voucher?

We are looking to change cars this year and I have always fancied a Toyota but am not feeling particularly tempted by this ...

Well I've filled mine in. It would be great to drive a shiny new car for the first time ever once!

I want to see just how much stuff I can pack in it to take to Cornwall over half term!

Being able to drive a brand new car that we are seriously considering buying anyway around for two weeks rather than the usual half hour test drive is incentive enough for me.

Done, fingers crossed we are one of the chosen few. Would love to visit my dp's family in Manchester but there is no way we can fit everything into our car. His folks have nothing for children so we have to take everything with us!

Done!

Would love to do this as I am currently car-less and hunting (not easy with 3 DC under 5 - the double pushchair has already broken one wheel under the strain of the shopping and DC!)
I need a seven seater and I've been looking for ages but can't make up my mind.

'Testers will be required to add feedback to a thread on Mumsnet throughout the duration of the test drive'

Little bit concerned about MNing while driving KatieBMumsnet are you sure we're allowed? Grin
