Q1) I am satisfied with the overall result as two parts of my scar have disappeared and the rest is flatter, faded and improved.

Q2) the most noticeable improvement is where parts of the scar have gone.

Q3) fast, easy and effective

Q4) I would be put of by the price if I hadn't used it or had a recommendation. A sample and money off coupon would entice me to try it.

Q5) I would and have already recommended kelo cote.

  • Overall, how satisfied or dissatisfied were you with the results of the gel?

Happy with gel, my scar is far less bumpy and has faded. I think on the ends where it was least scarred you can barely see it now.

  • What (if anything) was the most noticeable result?

Smoothness

  • Which three words would you use to describe Kelo-cote silicone gel?

Simple, clear, comforting

  • The recommended retail price for Kelo-cote is £29.99. Would you be prepared to pay this amount for 3 month?s supply (equivalent to less than £10 per month)?

For a c section scar that you don't see on most days i wouldn't because i wear my scar like a badge of motherhood and i'm not ashamed of it. On my broken arm scar I have been using it and found it great.

  • If it were to come up in conversation, would you recommend Kelo-cote silicone gel to friends and family? If yes, why? If not, why not?

I would happily recommend the gel.

  • Overall, how satisfied or dissatisfied were you with the results of the gel? The final result was very disappointing given that I have used it for 3 months. My scar is still very much keloid, raised and red.
  • What (if anything) was the most noticeable result?
The scar is no longer dry - permanently sticky and moisturised.
  • Which three words would you use to describe Kelo-cote silicone gel?
Sticky, disappointing, moisturiser.
  • The recommended retail price for Kelo-cote is £29.99. Would you be prepared to pay this amount for 3 month?s supply (equivalent to less than £10 per month)? No
  • If it were to come up in conversation, would you recommend Kelo-cote silicone gel to friends and family? If yes, why? If not, why not? No, because it did not work for me.

Thanks and good luck,

GiraffesMum · 12/03/2013 17:57
  1. I am fairly satisfied with the results, my scar is flatter, doesn?t itch and parts of it have disappeared. I would have liked the rest of it to have faded some more, but the fact that it is flat is a big positive.
  2. My scar is flatter, doesn?t itch and isn?t a bright angry red.
  3. Quick, sticky, good
  4. Yes, knowing what it has done for me, but it would have been hard to persuade me three months ago ? I would need a good recommendation.
  5. Yes, because it has definitely made my scar flatter and non-itchy so, I don?t notice it if I run my hand down my tummy.
salcz · 12/03/2013 18:03

Overall, how satisfied or dissatisfied were you with the results of the gel?
Neither as i had to stop using due to itchy-ness.

What (if anything) was the most noticeable result?
None (see above)

Which three words would you use to describe Kelo-cote silicone gel?
Clear, sticky, fast-drying (is that cheating??)

The recommended retail price for Kelo-cote is £29.99. Would you be prepared to pay this amount for 3 month?s supply (equivalent to less than £10 per month)?
No, I don't mind living with the scar as it is unseen and will probably be re-opened at some point.

If it were to come up in conversation, would you recommend Kelo-cote silicone gel to friends and family? If yes, why? If not, why not?
Maybe as other have had good results, but I'd warn them it made me itchy/sore.

pod3030 · 12/03/2013 18:05

  • The recommended retail price for Kelo-cote is £29.99. Would you be prepared to pay this amount for 3 month?s supply (equivalent to less than £10 per month)?

  • If it were to come up in conversation, would you recommend Kelo-cote silicone gel to friends and family? If yes, why? If not, why not?

yes, it has made a difference to my scar, it wasn't really the appearance that bothered me, it was the discomfort and that has def been helped.

  1. Very, very satisfied. My scar has gone down a lot and got paler. Also worked on an old scar on my arm.
  2. Scar is less raised, less red, smaller.
  3. Sticky, effective.
  4. £10 a month for a cosmetic isn't really possible in my budget at the moment, so no.
  5. I would definitely recommend kelocote, but I think it would be too expensive for many people.
cherrylolly · 12/03/2013 18:25
  1. Satisfied with the product- i have noticed an improvement over the last few months
  2. It is a lot smoother than at the beginning of the test
  3. Soothing, good and simple
  4. Yes
  5. I would recommend it to friends and family as it has improved my scar
ChunkyMonkeyMother · 12/03/2013 18:52
  • Overall, how satisfied or dissatisfied were you with the results of the gel?

I was mildly satisfied with the results, they did lessen my scar and made the redness reduce but it hasn't "cured" it or gotten rid of it completely - I'd say the changes are noticeable to me and my DH but it still looks like an ugly scar!

  • What (if anything) was the most noticeable result?

The reduction in redness

  • Which three words would you use to describe Kelo-cote silicone gel?

Soothing, cooling and simple

  • The recommended retail price for Kelo-cote is £29.99. Would you be prepared to pay this amount for 3 month?s supply (equivalent to less than £10 per month)?

Wowsers, I have to say I think that is a BIG price for such a small amount of product, and I know you use it sparingly but it's easy to use more than needed and as a consumer I'd be upset at paying out that much for so little, plus from my own and others (having read the threads) experience it will take more than 3 months worth to make a real difference

  • If it were to come up in conversation, would you recommend Kelo-cote silicone gel to friends and family? If yes, why? If not, why not?

Yes because it has helped to reduce redness

Snugglenush · 12/03/2013 19:09
  • Overall, how satisfied or dissatisfied were you with the results of the gel?

Very satisfied considering I didn't use it as often as recommended!

  • What (if anything) was the most noticeable result?

The itching and discomfort has definitely eased.

  • Which three words would you use to describe Kelo-cote silicone gel?

soothing, relieving, useful

  • The recommended retail price for Kelo-cote is £29.99. Would you be prepared to pay this amount for 3 month?s supply (equivalent to less than £10 per month)?

Probably not unless my scar was much worse than it was. Under £20 would be more reaosnable.

  • If it were to come up in conversation, would you recommend Kelo-cote silicone gel to friends and family? If yes, why? If not, why not?

Yes. It did it's job!

ghislaine · 12/03/2013 19:30

Overall, how satisfied or dissatisfied were you with the results of the gel?

Fairly satisfied. It didn't make my scar disappear but it did improve its appearance/texture.

  • What (if anything) was the most noticeable result?

Scar became flatter and slightly paler.

  • Which three words would you use to describe Kelo-cote silicone gel?

Sticky, odourless, straightforward.

  • The recommended retail price for Kelo-cote is £29.99. Would you be prepared to pay this amount for 3 month?s supply (equivalent to less than £10 per month)?

No, considering you can get very similar products for nothing on prescription.

If it were to come up in conversation, would you recommend Kelo-cote silicone gel to friends and family? If yes, why? If not, why not?

I think I would recommend a generic silicone gel, but not necessarily this one, given the price.

Biggem · 12/03/2013 19:49

Very much the improvement is amazing.

It works!

Yes but only because i know it works but as an general purchase unlessrthe advertising was REALLY sharp, prob not.

Yes i already have!

HappyGoJules · 12/03/2013 20:02
  • Overall, how satisfied or dissatisfied were you with the results of the gel?
Really happy with it! Only thing was how long it took to dry.
  • What (if anything) was the most noticeable result?
My scar is considerably less noticeable and less red.
  • Which three words would you use to describe Kelo-cote silicone gel?
Easy to use
  • The recommended retail price for Kelo-cote is £29.99. Would you be prepared to pay this amount for 3 month?s supply (equivalent to less than £10 per month)?
I think i'd be more likely to buy it for £19.99 or maybe a smaller tube (maybe one months supply) for £10. £29.99 would be a lot if you didn't know how well a product worked.
  • If it were to come up in conversation, would you recommend Kelo-cote silicone gel to friends and family? If yes, why? If not, why not?
Yes I would, in fact I have recommended it to a friend already.
LittleAbruzzenBear · 12/03/2013 20:06

Very satisfied with the result.

Until I started the trial (3 months post c-sec), my scar had not been healing quickly, but very soon after the first use my scar became visibly paler, less itchy and flatter.

Having used this product and healing more rapidly as a result, I think £29.99 is a fair price. Had you have asked me this without trying the product, I would have said it was expensive and £20 would be my limit. On another, trusted, person's recommendation though, I would have changed my mind.

Three words to describe: healing, soothing, effective

I would recommend this gel to friends, family and/or acquaintances on the above basis. My scar had been upsetting me and I felt it was not healing well prior to using the kelo-cote. With a new baby to look after, the quicker you recover the better so from my point of view, it couldn't have arrived at a better time to test.

gasbird · 12/03/2013 20:08

Overall, how satisfied or dissatisfied were you with the results of the gel?

I was satisfied with the change in the scar

  • What (if anything) was the most noticeable result?

Less itchy and paler in appearance

  • Which three words would you use to describe Kelo-cote silicone gel?

Scar wonder treatment

  • The recommended retail price for Kelo-cote is £29.99. Would you be prepared to pay this amount for 3 month?s supply (equivalent to less than £10 per month)?

Now that I know a little goes a long way, yes.

  • If it were to come up in conversation, would you recommend Kelo-cote silicone gel to friends and family? If yes, why? If not, why not?

Yes if they had any scar concerns

mummyofcutetwo · 12/03/2013 21:04

- Overall, how satisfied or dissatisfied were you with the results of the gel?
Satisfied. Has definitely improved my scar.

- What (if anything) was the most noticeable result?
Colour of the scar is fading.

- Which three words would you use to describe Kelo-cote silicone gel?
Sticky, slow-drying, effective

- The recommended retail price for Kelo-cote is £29.99. Would you be prepared to pay this amount for 3 month?s supply (equivalent to less than £10 per month)?
Too expensive. I wouldn't be able to justify paying that much for a scar that's not seen.

- If it were to come up in conversation, would you recommend Kelo-cote silicone gel to friends and family? If yes, why? If not, why not?
Yes I'd definitely recommend it.

littlemiss26 · 12/03/2013 21:15

Overall, how satisfied or dissatisfied were you with the results of the gel?
I was quite satisfied with the results, i was quite sceptical that it would do much, but was pleasantly surprised that i could see a difference

  • What (if anything) was the most noticeable result?
flattening of the scar and a reduction in redness to a light pink colour
  • Which three words would you use to describe Kelo-cote silicone gel?
smoothing, calming, protecting
  • The recommended retail price for Kelo-cote is £29.99. Would you be prepared to pay this amount for 3 month?s supply (equivalent to less than £10 per month)?
no, not if i hadn't tried it first. This is alot to pay for a scar that no one sees and which was ultimately not giving me any trouble. however, i am pleased with the results and would consider it for other more visible scars
  • If it were to come up in conversation, would you recommend Kelo-cote silicone gel to friends and family? If yes, why? If not, why not?
I would recommend it yes as i can see a noticeable improvment from using it
