  1. Yes my scar is far less red. I always wipe it on left to right and I've noticed the left hand side of it is far paler prob where its had more product applied.
  1. It was easy to incorporate. After i've showered i apply it before my knickers go on but i cant wait for it to dry first. Its often still tacky.
  1. About a third of tube

No I had not.

Mrsj36 · 06/02/2013 20:52
  1. no not really - maybe slightly paler but if so it could be that I'm now 4 months post c-sec

  2. easy to remember but waiting 5 mins is a pain & often I'm rushed so probably dress too quickly

  3. about half

  1. Have you noticed any improvement in your scar since using Kelo-cote at all, if so in what way?
Seems to be a little smoother.
  1. Have you found using Kelo-cote easy or difficult to incorporate into your daily routine?
Very easy
  1. Approximately how much product do you have left (1/3rd tube / 1/2 tube etc)?
About 2/3 tube left.
BollyGood · 06/02/2013 21:10
  1. Have you noticed any improvement in your scar since using Kelo-cote at all, if so in what way?
My scar is much less red, less tender and smoother
  1. Have you found using Kelo-cote easy or difficult to incorporate into your daily routine?
It has been quite easy actually, I have forgotten once or twice but rarely.
  1. Approximately how much product do you have left (1/3rd tube / 1/2 tube etc)?
I have a bit less than half a tube but I have been putting it on another scar above my c section. It was from the same operation and has almost gone! Very pleased and so happy I was able to try Kelo-cote Grin
km479 · 06/02/2013 22:03
  1. It's slightly flatter and it certainly rubs less against my clothes. The dramatic difference is the colour. The scar was really quite dark and ugly but now is a load paler and blends in a lot better with my natural (Indian) skin tone
  1. Easy - straight after shower. Moisturise rest of bod after so gel dry by the time I get dressed.
  1. Third of a tube. I do think I got a bit excited with the results and started to use more than necessary...

Thanks for the opportunity. I'll be buying some for my mum who has a scar from a recent op...

Q1. Have you noticed any improvement in your scar since using Kelo-cote at all, if so in what way?

A1. Yes, it is much less itchy and less red than before. It is starting to become flatter too.

  1. Have you found using Kelo-cote easy or difficult to incorporate into your daily routine?

A2. Fairly easy, I've managed twice per day pretty much every day

  1. Approximately how much product do you have left (1/3rd tube / 1/2 tube etc)?

A3. About 1/4, at first I think I was using too much, I have got better at applying less now

Watto1 · 07/02/2013 08:43

1 It's much less itchy. Doesn't look different, but to be honest I keep forgetting to put it on

2 Easy when I remember! I do find it very sticky though.

3 Between 1/3 and 1/2 of the tube left

Reading how much other Mumsnetters' scars have improved, I am determined to be more dedicated to putting it on daily.

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 07/02/2013 09:42
  1. scar is less raised and does not itch or hurt much anymore
  1. quite difficult and some days I do forget. Having to get 2 small children out to nursery and myself to wokr in the morning means I sometimes don't have a shower and that's when I firget to apply it.
  1. I've had to use more than I think I should as my scar is so long and wide (awful, inverted t-cut c-section which is still troublesome 14months on) but I think I have about just more than 1/4 left.
Snugglenush · 07/02/2013 10:14

1: I noticed an improvement quite quickly with the appearance - it defo seemed less red. In fact its hardly noticeable now. It has also stopped itching - dont know if that is a coincidence or because of the gel.
2: I don't always manage to do it in the morning - but I manage most evenings.
3: About 1/2 of the tube is left - my scar wasn't huge and like I said above, i've only managed about once a day rather than twice.

Axlemaimi · 07/02/2013 11:37
  1. Bit paler in colour
  2. Quite easy though some mornings I could do with it drying quicker!
  3. About 1/2 tube
chatwir · 07/02/2013 14:36

1.Have you noticed any improvement in your scar since using Kelo-cote at all, if so in what way?

Yes, scar is definitely less raised and less pigmented. It also feels much less "tight". Very very happy I was chosen for the trial as I probably wouldn't have believed that my scar could change.

  1. Have you found using Kelo-cote easy or difficult to incorporate into your daily routine?

Bit difficult for me to allow it to completely dry and I am usually dressing just after applying it.

  1. Approximately how much product do you have left (1/3rd tube / 1/2 tube etc)?

Don't have much left (less than 1/4) I think I applied too much in the 1st few weeks and now have a better idea of how much I need.

HappyGoJules · 07/02/2013 15:05
  1. Have you noticed any improvement in your scar since using Kelo-cote at all, if so in what way?
Yes my scar feels less prominent, the redness has reduced and some of the scar is barely visible now.
  1. Have you found using Kelo-cote easy or difficult to incorporate into your daily routine?
Ok, bit annoying with the drying times when I'm in a rush. Do normally use the hairdryer but this is difficult when my baby is asleep and I'm getting ready for work.
  1. Approximately how much product do you have left (1/3rd tube / 1/2 tube etc)?
Not much, had to ask for a second tube but found turning the tube upside down works a treat! I've yet to start the second tube, it's like the first tube is never ending but I did use too much in the beginning.
MyMillsBaby · 07/02/2013 17:20
  1. Have you noticed any improvement in your scar since using Kelo-cote at all, if so in what way?
The redness has gone down, and the bump is smoother. I've lost weight too during this trial so have gained a few stretch marks - this has helped reduce the look of them.
  1. Have you found using Kelo-cote easy or difficult to incorporate into your daily routine?
Easy. I apply straight after my morning shower.
  1. Approximately how much product do you have left (1/3rd tube / 1/2 tube etc)?
About one third of the tube (bear in mind I have been using it on my stretch marks).
Susieloo · 07/02/2013 19:04
  1. Have you noticed any improvement in your scar since using Kelo-cote at all, if so in what way?
Definite reduction in the bumpiness of my scar and it feels smoother
  1. Have you found using Kelo-cote easy or difficult to incorporate into your daily routine?
Easy. I have it in my bag and apply it when I see it.
  1. Approximately how much product do you have left (1/3rd tube / 1/2 tube etc)?
Less than one third of a tube but I have been using it way more than the grain of rice recommended.
bialystockandbloom · 07/02/2013 20:35
  1. Have you noticed any improvement in your scar since using Kelo-cote at all, if so in what way?
Definitely less red and tender. I have hardly noticed it since starting using kelo-cote. It is still raised (keloid) but it was almost three years old so very stubborn! But the colour fading has been quite dramatic.
  1. Have you found using Kelo-cote easy or difficult to incorporate into your daily routine?
Pretty easy though the drying time is still annoying.
  1. Approximately how much product do you have left (1/3rd tube / 1/2 tube etc)?
Probably about 1/3. Maybe I've been using too much.
teebomb · 07/02/2013 21:36
  1. Have you noticed any improvement in your scar since using Kelo-cote at all, if so in what way?
the ends of the scar have become less red and more flat. it certainly is less raised than my last one.
  1. Have you found using Kelo-cote easy or difficult to incorporate into your daily routine?
i put it on before going to bed so I keep it in my bedside drawer
  1. Approximately how much product do you have left (1/3rd tube / 1/2 tube etc)?
About half.
Donnah77 · 07/02/2013 22:41
  1. My scar seems smoother and not as red
  1. Easy to incorporate and settled in to a nice routine with it
  1. I have about 1/4 of the tube left
sunnysunnyshine · 08/02/2013 08:29

Q1. Very easy. Although I have to apply in front of a mirror now as I'm 32 wks pregnant with dc2 and can't see past my bump!

Q2. Only a minute or 2 as long as I don't apply too much.

Q3. Thicker than expected.

Q4. Bio oil, which seemed to make my scar itch more so I stopped.

1, big improvement to the appearance to the ends of the scar, it has turned them white instead of the angry redness they once were. Also the itching has stopped completely.

2, I find it's part of second nature of my morning routine, I don't have to make a conscious effort to apply it anymore.

3, I's say I have a 1/3 of a bottle left.

I'm really pleased with the results so far, thank you!

exiledmancityfan · 08/02/2013 11:50
  1. The scar is a lot smoother and paler in colour. This is a 2nd c-section in the same place so much improved on previous appearance 20 weeks post secion number 2.

  2. Easy to incorporate. I put it on after the shower whilst I am brushing my teeth. By the time I have done this and chosen my clothes for the day its dry.

  3. Not a huge amount I would guess less than 1/3 but my scar is large so using more than the grain of rice that I was told.

marshmallowpies · 08/02/2013 20:07
  1. It looks paler to me, but it is still itchy and I can feel it when wearing jeans, etc. It was not very bumpy or raised to begin with.
  1. I tended to forget in the mornings if I was in a hurry, but usually remembered at night time. It was quick to apply & dry so an easy thing to add into my routine when I remembered to do it!
  1. I have about 1/4 of my tube left.
ariane5 · 08/02/2013 20:14
  1. my scar feels smoother and looks less raised but one end (4th cs scar) is still reddish (but thats where it was infected)

2 I put it on every morning and havnt forgotten at all

3.I think there is about a quarter of the tube left, i have to use a tiny bit more than advised as have 4 cs scars but 4th one bigger than others so need a bit more to cover it.

mrsh2305 · 08/02/2013 20:23
  1. It has made my scar less red, less bumpy and quite smooth. However my scar still itches quite a lot. I stopped using the gel for a few days to see if it stopped itching but it didn't. So it was not the gel causing the itching.
  1. Its easy to incorporate in my routine although some days i probably don't let it dry completely as I'm in a rush. A quicker drying forumla would be good.
  1. About half a tube
