Think I might get head teachers award or "Star of the Week" award. All mine uploaded via the file transfer site. [polishes halo]

ScorpionQueen · 12/11/2012 13:50

More points for Gryffindor! :)

Doogle2 · 12/11/2012 14:00

I had an e-mail asking me to leave the ap open for a further half an hour. I really hope it works....

Q1 Did you and your family enjoy the event? What was the best bit?
We really enjoyed the event. I thought it was going to be a bit hectic but the hotel was lovely and the staff were so friendly. The people explaining were very patient. I loved it all and my daughter was twirling around with excitement. Taking the bag home was amazing

Q2 Thinking about the Wonderbook: Book of Spells game - what do you like most about it? What did your children like most about it?
I am blown away by the technology - we are not a gaming family really. The way you could pick up the book and make it 3d. My daughter loved reading all the spells and was enchanted by the whole experience. I like the way you got involved in the whole game and the choices you had. It had humour and wasn't violent

Q3 Once you've had a chance to play the game as a family at home, please can you tell us how you found it - have you played together as a family much?
After a bit of fiddling we got the hang of it. My son (4) lost interest really quickly as there was too much writing for him. My daughter (8) was really into it and didnt want to eat her tea as it meant she would need to stop playing! Both me and my partner had fun with it too

Q4 Do you think Book of Spells would make a good Christmas present for children? If so, what age group do you think it appeals to most?
I think it would be great for 7+ who were into magic. I don't think you need to know about Harry Potter to play it

Q5 Has playing Wonderbook: Book of Spells changed your perception of PlayStation 3 at all? If so, how?
Yes I am really impressed with the visuals and the whole experience

Q6 What were your/your family's thoughts on Wonderbook: Book of Spells? Please say whether you strongly agree, agree, are undecided, disagree or strongly disagree:
a. The game was easy to pick up and play - bit confusing at times
b. The gameplay experience wasn't intimidating - no not intimadating
c. My child was reading the words that lifted off the page - yes my older one
d. My child picked up what to do very quickly - no but we are not a gaming family so not that experienced
e. My child really enjoyed the experience - yes
f. My child was surprised by the game play experience - Yes she thought it was fabulous

Thank you so much for the opportunty - my kids think Christmas has come early.

I had the email about leaving the app open for longer too, have had it open and my phone connected to wifi for an hour now so hoping they have gone through, as I have deleted the earlier videos as my phone was full of them and I had no space to take the last videos.....

NotQuintAtAllOhNo · 12/11/2012 14:53

Everything just says "awaiting feedback" so hopefully all is ok.

TaperJeanGirl · 12/11/2012 15:12

I am hoping too, but mine have said awaiting feedback all day.....why does the app not tell you when they have received the files Confused

pantone363 · 12/11/2012 16:07

I deleted my app and reloaded and published. Kept the app open for nearly two hours, connected to wifi and it still says wait we are publishing your videos??!

northernmonkey · 12/11/2012 16:26

Q1 Did you and your family enjoy the event? What was the best bit?
We all thoroughly enjoyed the event although the room was VERY hot!! My dc's loved playing the game (and drinking all the nice drinks Grin ) The playstation staff were great and very friendly

Q2 Thinking about the Wonderbook: Book of Spells game - what do you like most about it? What did your children like most about it?
For me I enjoyed the fact that it was a great family game. We all loved playing game (shame its one player though) My dc's were amazed by the whole concept of it. They found it very magical and lots of fun. (I really loved playing it too Grin )

Q3 Once you've had a chance to play the game as a family at home, please can you tell us how you found it - have you played together as a family much?
again pretty much like above. It is a shame that its one player bit apart from that the game is great. We all enjoy it and I love how easy it is to start playing. One thing Ive found is that it is quite difficult for my 5yo although it is great for helping him with letter formation (something we work on in our school by drawing things in the air) We have played it as a family and I found it is a game that my 3 dcs can sit and play while helping each other!! A miracle in itself

Q4 Do you think Book of Spells would make a good Christmas present for children? If so, what age group do you think it appeals to most?
Yes I do. The age range I would give would be 6+ just because you need a steady hand to complete the spells and need to follow instructions

Q5 Has playing Wonderbook: Book of Spells changed your perception of PlayStation 3 at all? If so, how?
I dont think it has changed anything no. I've always liked the playstation brand

Q6 What were your/your family's thoughts on Wonderbook: Book of Spells? Please say whether you strongly agree, agree, are undecided, disagree or strongly disagree:
a. The game was easy to pick up and play strongly agree
b. The gameplay experience wasn't intimidating strongly agree
c. My child was reading the words that lifted off the page agree
d. My child picked up what to do very quickly *strongly agree
e. My child really enjoyed the experience strongly agree
f. My child was surprised by the game play experience strongly agree

Thankyou MN and Playstation you have made this family happy :)

Squiglettsmummy2bx · 12/11/2012 18:02

Glad I'm not the only one having problems. I went to my friends & left phone there with app open connected to wifi for an hour after 2 hours at my house as my modem at home can be funny although it seemed ok today. It stiill says awaiting feedback. Not sure there us much else I can do now

janx · 12/11/2012 18:14

I have just had a MSG saying out of time for sending footage Sad.... Have been fiddling with it for ages at work

Magna · 12/11/2012 18:14

I had the e-mail saying leave the ap open on wi-fi. That's what I've done for the whole afternoon still looks the same to me Confused

MrsDmitriTippensKrushnic · 12/11/2012 18:31

I'm sending mine via my laptop but it's very time-consuming. If I try and send more than a couple of files at a time it goes into 'technical difficulties'. I'm not sure how many of the first couple of tries actually uploaded. I'll keep trying though as I'm very happy to have been involved Smile

It might have been easier if there had been a longer deadline for the footage so we could have submitted via flashdrive. Sending a USB stick via recorded mail or even courier would have been less complicated...

clux73 · 12/11/2012 18:40

I have tried to upload them again but still not sure if it's actually worked.....

clux73 · 12/11/2012 20:23

Jennywren, how do you do it via the file transfer site??

TaperJeanGirl · 12/11/2012 20:23

Mine still says awaiting feedback, not had an email to say they haven't got them tho, taking that as a good sign?

Belo · 12/11/2012 22:24

Shame we only had the weekend to do the filming. We had the girls cousin over tonight and there Grandpa. The dds were so animated as they were explaining the game and telling them all about Sunday. That would have been good footage.

jennywren123 · 12/11/2012 22:53

clux73 Sent you a PM with the link.

ScorpionQueen · 12/11/2012 23:23

Mine still says awaiting feedback and I had email confirmation that they had been received, so it may be ok. It is a shame there is no simple way to check.

clux73 · 13/11/2012 14:56

Has anyone had confirmation that the files have uploaded properly? I still have no idea despite emailing Elizabeth 3 times....

janx · 13/11/2012 18:44

I have now had 3 emails saying I have new tasks to open but when I open the app my footage is still stuck there. I keep emailing but I don't get any reply

clux73 · 13/11/2012 18:46

I know, I'm not getting a response either. It's really frustrating now. It may be that the files have uploaded but we have no way of knowing.

TaperJeanGirl · 13/11/2012 19:22

I have had an email to say mine not received and asking me to send them via another link, only prob is I have deleted the earlier videos arrgghh, I am leaving the app open again to see if they push through...

TaperJeanGirl · 13/11/2012 19:24

The videos are all still on the app but I cant get them back from it to email Confused

Magna · 13/11/2012 19:28

I have had an e-mail to forward via computer. Now got to work out how to do that Aaaarrrrggggghhhhhh
