We've been asked by Kingsmill to find 250 Mumsnetters and their DC to try their new Fruit and Fibre Bread

Kingsmill says "Created to liven up the usual breakfast routine, Kingsmill have launched new Fruit and Fibre bread. Made with mixed berries, apples and raisins, this delicious loaf has been designed to put a fruity twist into breakfast time. Made from a blend of wholemeal and white flour and containing 35% of your daily wholegrain it provides a great source of fibre to kick start your day."

We're looking for UK MNers with at least one child living at home to take part in this test. If you're selected to take part you will be sent 2 loaves of Fruit and Fibre bread worth £1.20 each. The product will be delivered on or around Weds 26th Sept so please only apply if you and your DC will be able to try the bread around that time. You'll need to give your feedback on a thread on MN and on a short survey w/c 1 Oct.

Please click here for more info about the product, including a full list of ingredients.

Everyone who is a tester and adds their feedback to the thread and completes the survey will be entered into a prize draw where one person will win a £250 voucher for Debenhams.

If you'd like to take part please add your details here

Thanks and good luck

Looks like it was royal mail, he knocked and was gone by the time I got down stairs, but thankully left the bread on the door step.

Got mine this morning. Two loaves.

Because I am such a dedicated tester Grin I immediately ate some.

I had one slice 'raw' and one toasted. It toasted really well and tasted a bit bagel-like. You couldn't eat it without something on it, the slice I had straight from the packet was hard to get down.

It's nice. It's more bready (I know that's not a word!) than other fruity loaves, which can be quite heavy. It's still heavier/moister than normal bread though (understandably! Grin )

It didn't have quite enough fruit in it for me. I would have liked to have seen a bit more. And maybe some seeds.

but all in all, it's really lovely! I shall try some for a ham sandwich and see what happens! [living dangerously emoticon]

I'm in hospital with ds right now. He fell off his bike yesterday into the road and got hit by a car. He's going down to surgery in an hour to pin his arm. He was going to love this bread!

Might freeze some for him if its freezable? Maybe the nurses will toast some for him when he can eat again? He's 14 and loves his food. Not feeling much like eating right now.

Sorry to hear about your DS Sara, hope he's feeling better soon. Sad

aww your poor ds! My son had the same op last year, hope it all goes well.

Checked and the bread is suitable for freezing. Surely he should be hom tomorrow too, and it will be a nice treat when he gets home.

The door went and I got excited about my bread and it was a man trying to sell me a conservatory or new rooflines!!!

Report
fuzzpig · 26/09/2012 12:59

Who the hell would want a conservatory when they could have fruity bread?!? Angry

Report
ClaimedByMe · 26/09/2012 13:01

I now have fruity bread!!!!! Grin

Honestly if you seen the size of my garden there is no room for a conservatory.

The fruit bread smells really nice!

Ours arrived just as we were finishing lunch (very lazy postie here!). DD1 was very excited at the parcel and ate a slice straight away and asked for another - this after refusing most of her lunch!

Report
NiniLegsInTheAir · 26/09/2012 15:22

I had no idea I'd been accepted, got the parcel this morning and got a pleasant surprise when I opened the box. Won't get through 2 loaves quickly so I've frozen one. Can't wait to try the other! Grin

Report
fuzzpig · 26/09/2012 15:59

Still none! Mind you we haven't even seen the regular postie for a few days Hmm

Gutted I haven't got room in the freezer now as we had our Tesco delivery this morning and DH has to freeze his own bread (he's a coeliac)

Huuuuuuungrryyyyyyyyyy
