NOW CLOSED: Tesco’s Naturally Powered (antibacterial spray or non-bio washing powder) product testers review thread

AnnMumsnet · 01/05/2012 14:54

This thread is for the 1000 Mumsnetters who are trying out the Naturally Powered range of cleaning products by Tesco.

If you don't know about these products, here's what Tesco has to say:

"In the past, green cleaning products have been let down by their performance. Working closely with a team of chemists, scientists and environmental experts, we have created the Naturally Powered range of eco cleaning products - specially formulated to have a reduced impact on the environment than other leading products and with the cleaning performance you'd expect."

Mumsnetters have been testing either the antibacterial spray or the non-bio washing powder. In addition, all testers received a trial-sized sachet of washing up liquid.

If you are a tester, please state which product you were testing and answer the questions below - feel free to also add any other comments you may have.

Everyone who adds their comments to this thread will be entered into a prize draw, where one person will win £200 of Tesco vouchers.

Questions:

Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using them?

Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using them?

I had not heard of them.

Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products?

The antibac spray works fine, although the trigger is really sensitive and it dribbles when you stop pressing. It also sprays a long way and there is bounce back. The actual product in the bottle is good, smells ok, feels fine. just a problem with the delivery.

Q3. How did the products compare to your usual cleaning products? Did it work just as well, better or worse than the products you usually use?

Worked as well as other products. Its difficult to say if the antibac works as I can't see the things it kills, but in terms of cleaning coffee, tea and milk stains it worked fine.

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not?

I wouldn't choose a more expensive green product over a cheaper non-green product, but if the prices were comparable I probably would.

Q5. Will you continue to buy the Tesco Naturally Powered range? If so, why? If not why not?

No, the nearest Tesco means passing half a dozen other supermarkets.

Q6. What, if any, improvements would you make to the Naturally Powered products you were testing?

Improve the bottle. The trigger was too sensitive and it dribbles everywhere.

Q7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the products to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?

I can't imagine ever having a conservation about cleaning products, but, hypothetically, I probably would.

Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using them?

had no opinion - hadn't heard of them

Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products?

I really like the spray cleaner I have been sent. I like the smell - fresh but not overpowering. I've been using it all over the house.

Q3. How did the products compare to your usual cleaning products? Did it work just as well, better or worse than the products you usually use?

works just as well

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not?

I like to use natural products as we have small pets

Q5. Will you continue to buy the Tesco Naturally Powered range? If so, why? If not why not?

quite likely

Q6. What, if any, improvements would you make to the Naturally Powered products you were testing?

I would like to know whether the spray is suitable to use in a small pets cage?

Q7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the products to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?

probably - I like the smell and it works well

minimathsmouse · 02/05/2012 17:30

Q1.I had used ecover but not the naturally powered products

Q2. I don't like the smell of the washing powder very much but it seemed to work well. I used it on the whites and they came up well.

Q3. Very good.

Q4. I would consider buying the washing powder again and will see how it compares on price as well. I like the fact that it is kinder to the environment.

Q5. As NO4

Q7. Yes I think I would but I don't usually talk about washing powder!

Mammajill · 02/05/2012 17:38

Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using them?

I had never hear of or noticed them.

Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products?

Happy overall. The washing seems clean on a much colder wash than I would normally use. Clothes feel stiffer than usual and I actually miss the stronger smell of my normal liquid.

Q3. How did the products compare to your usual cleaning products? Did it work just as well, better or worse than the products you usually use?

Seems to compare favourably. Haven't had the need to do a white wash yet though, that will be the acid test.

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not?

They are important. However, my decision to buy is dictated by price at the moment. If the product were priced competitively I would buy it.

Q5. Will you continue to buy the Tesco Naturally Powered range? If so, why? If not why not?

See above.

Q6. What, if any, improvements would you make to the Naturally Powered products you were testing?

Fresher smell.

Q7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the products to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?

I'd recommend it if it were priced reasonably.

OracleInaCoracle · 02/05/2012 17:46

Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using them?

I hadn't heard of them

Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products?

The washing powder seemed to work, but I wouldnt use it for heavily stained things. I liked the smell though.

Q3. How did the products compare to your usual cleaning products? Did it work just as well, better or worse than the products you usually use?

I didnt think it worked as well as my usual powder/detergent

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would like to say "very" but my priority is cost.

Q5. Will you continue to buy the Tesco Naturally Powered range? If so, why? If not why not?

no, I wasn't overly impressed

Q6. What, if any, improvements would you make to the Naturally Powered products you were testing?

I would lose the plastic bag, if you are having a bio-degradable cup, it seems dafft to have a plastic bag containing the powder

Q7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the products to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?

no, I wasn't terribly impressed with its performance and I think there are better eco-friendly products out there.

RainQueen · 02/05/2012 18:10

Anti bacterial spray

Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using them?

I was sceptical about how well they would work because o experiences in the past with green products that just aren't up to the job.

Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products?

I think the spray worked well. It had a much better fragrance than my regular spray and I was happier using it around the kids. It seemed to work as well as my other spray and it kills as much bacteria according to the packaging.

Q3. How did the products compare to your usual cleaning products? Did it work just as well, better or worse than the products you usually use?

It seemed to work just as well.

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not?

I am always looking or a more green alternative to my usual products that actually works and this seems to fit the bill.

Q5. Will you continue to buy the Tesco Naturally Powered range? If so, why? If not why not?

I think I will try out the other products in the range to see if they are as good and continue to buy the spray.

Q6. What, if any, improvements would you make to the Naturally Powered products you were testing?

There are no obvious imprvements.

Q7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the products to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would recommend the spray to a friend as a good product to use around children.

TheMonster · 02/05/2012 19:17

Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using them?
I like the idea of them being less damaging for the environment, and this would encourage me to buy them.

Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products?
The performance was good, but the smell of the spray was strong and chemically.

Q3. How did the products compare to your usual cleaning products? Did it work just as well, better or worse than the products you usually use?
It worked well - as good as the good products and better than most own brands.

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not?
Very important - I feel we all have a duty to limit our impact.

Q5. Will you continue to buy the Tesco Naturally Powered range? If so, why? If not why not?
Possibly, dependent on price.

Q6. What, if any, improvements would you make to the Naturally Powered products you were testing?
The smell is too strong.

Q7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the products to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes I would because it works well, even on dried in dirt on work surfaces.

oopslateagain · 02/05/2012 19:24

I tested the washing powder.

Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using them?
I haven't heard of them before - our local Tesco only stocks one Naturally Powered product and it isn't one of the test products.

Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products? The washing had a lovely fresh smell, came out clean and bright. It did get mud stains out of jeans first time, which takes two washes with my usual powder; it also got week-old bloodstains out of a sleeping bag (from a camping trip last weekend) which I was very impressed with, that would usually take a good treatment with a pre-wash stain remover and at least one hot wash; I used the Naturally Powered powder and a 30 degree wash and there is no trace of a stain left. It did leave a clump of powder in the drawer after every wash, which I eventually had to scrape out.

Q3. How did the products compare to your usual cleaning products? Did it work just as well, better or worse than the products you usually use? It cleaned just as well as my usual powder, was better at stain removal.

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not? I'd prefer greed credentials but I don't like palm oil products. I tend to avoid them.

Q5. Will you continue to buy the Tesco Naturally Powered range? If so, why? If not why not? It depends on the price. This powder isn't stocked at my local Tesco, but I have just picked up the Naturally Powered unscented fabric softener which was priced competitively. I would definitely look at it if it were stocked locally; I would hope they would sort out the 'clumping' issue though. From the comments of other testers, I would like to buy the antibacterial spray.

Q6. What, if any, improvements would you make to the Naturally Powered products you were testing? Make sure the powder doesn't leave clumps in the dispenser drawer! Also I think the plastic bag in the box needs to go, there isn't a need for it.

Q7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the products to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not? I would definitely recommend the washing powder for stain removal.

KenHomsDadsWoksDead · 02/05/2012 19:26

I tested the anti-bac spray

Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using them?

I don't normally shop in Tesco, so had never seen the range, or heard of it.

Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products?

Very happy with the performance - I'm surprised so many reviewers liked the smell, as it just smelled like chemicals to me!

Q3. How did the products compare to your usual cleaning products? Did it work just as well, better or worse than the products you usually use?

Worked better than other sprays I've used. I normally use washing up liquid on a sponge in the kitchen, just because it's easy and cheap, and I know it doesn't hurt the (wood) worktop.

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not?

If I were paying a premium for the 'green-ness' of the product I'd like to know a bit more about it. I would buy it if it were, for example, organic, or 100% natural, but I'm not convinced this is.

Q5. Will you continue to buy the Tesco Naturally Powered range? If so, why? If not why not?

See above. I might buy if the price was comparable to other brands.

Q6. What, if any, improvements would you make to the Naturally Powered products you were testing?

Clearer labelling of eco credentials, more natural scent. I'm not clear on what surfaces this should/can be used - stainless steel hob? (having wrecked one with cilit bang I'm wary of using anything except washing up liquid on it now) chopping board?

Q7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the products to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?

Maybe. I can't really imagine the conversation though.

maddiemostmerry · 02/05/2012 20:17

Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using
them?

I tested the washing powder.
I wasn't aware of the naturally powered range, when looking at my dot.com store they don't yet stock the washing powder.

Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products?

I really liked the smell, it was very fresh and clean. The product worked very well compared to previous non-bio I have used. I added napisan to my white wash and used my usual fab cond. There was some residue left in the drawer after one load.

Q3. How did the products compare to your usual cleaning products? Did it work just as well, better or worse than the products you usually use?

I would say it worked as well as my usual products.

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not?

I have to say cost is the major consideration for me. It would be nice to be green but would have to be at a price I could afford

Q5. Will you continue to buy the Tesco Naturally Powered range? If so, why? If not why not?

If the price matched my usual then yes

Q6. What, if any, improvements would you make to the Naturally Powered products you were testing?

I thought the packaging was bland and would not stand out in the shop.

Q7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the products to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes.

Legoheadnat · 02/05/2012 20:41

Q1 - Never heard of the product before
Q2/3 - Liked the spray, it spelt nice and seemed to be just as good as the one I normally use, the bottle did leak though from the spray nozzle bit
Q4 - I normally just go for the cheapest brand unless others on special offer
Q5 - Next time I'm in Tesco I will investigate prices , probably will
Q6 - Put on the packaging what the smell is, ie lemons, orange etc
Q7 - would mention it to friends/family if it came up

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 02/05/2012 21:05

I tested the anti-bac spray.

Q1 - I hadn't really noticed them as I tend to stick to the same brand of cleaning products, but I probably wouldn't have looked twice at it as I've always found eco products to be as useless as just using water!

Q2 - I really liked the smell and found it worked really well, even on my cooker hob that had grease on it, even DP who is an OCD clean freak thought it was good!

Q3 - I was surprised at how well it worked and would say it was just as good as my usual product.

Q4 - I wouldn't buy because of its green credentials, but I would consider it a bonus in a prroduct that worked.

Q5 - I will buy it again as it was very effective and smelled really nice, I also liked the washing up liquid, which smelled really nice and didn't dry my hands out.

Q6 - I can't think of anything that would improve it, I was satisfied with it as it is.

Q7 - I would recommend to a friend as I was impressed.

TheThingUpstairs · 02/05/2012 21:12

Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using
them?

I tested the anti bac spray and washing up liquid.

I had not heard of the range before.

Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products?

I liked the smell and feel of these products.

Q3. How did the products compare to your usual cleaning products? Did it work just as well, better or worse than the products you usually use?

I would say the spray worked as well as my usual products (supermarket own brand). The washing up liquid was slightly less effective.

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not?

Cost is my first concern, then performance, then green credentials.

Q5. Will you continue to buy the Tesco Naturally Powered range? If so, why? If not why not?

It would depend upon price and also on having the eco friendly claims clarified, especially re: sustainable palm oil. Also concerned with chemicals in it, green claims seem a little vague.

Q6. What, if any, improvements would you make to the Naturally Powered products you were testing?

Packaging and product fine, eco claims clarified as above..

Q7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the products to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?
It did come up in conversation and (much more environmentally aware) friend was very dubious about the environmentally friendly claims once she had seen the ingredients list.

TheThingUpstairs · 02/05/2012 21:12

Oops meant to add, on this basis would not recommend. If this issue was resolved, then I would.

Liskey · 02/05/2012 21:21

I tested the washing powder

Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using them?
Not heard of them before

Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products?
Seemed very effective - especially as DD had been sick over her bed and i needed to wash everything -and i like the smell.

Q3. How did the products compare to your usual cleaning products? Did it work just as well, better or worse than the products you usually use?
Seemed just as good if not better as no stains left on clothes

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not?
I couldn't see any evidence to back up how green they were saying naturally powered doesn't seem to translate to anything meaningful. If it stated this uses x amount less of harmful chemicals then i'd be more convinced of the green credentials.

Q5. Will you continue to buy the Tesco Naturally Powered range? If so, why? If not why not?
I might dependent on price

Q6. What, if any, improvements would you make to the Naturally Powered products you were testing?

Q7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the products to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?
I might but it would depend if they could back up the green credentials.

Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using them?
I had never noticed them, I don't drive so only buy my washing powder online because it is so heavy and I have Ocado yearly delivery pass so get my shopping from them.

Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products?
Products great, I liked the smell it seemed stronger than my usual brand. I liked the measuring cup, seemed to get things clean as my usual. I normally use liquid as I think powder leaves a residue and this one did but only a bit and not as much as the ecover powder did.
Q3. How did the products compare to your usual cleaning products? Did it work just as well, better or worse than the products you usually use?
Just as good.

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not?
The packaging did not really convince me that it was really that green. I think ecover products or plant green products seem more green-they talk about surfectants and how long that affects the water course. I would not choose to buy this as it did not seem as green as more normal brand;

Q5. Will you continue to buy the Tesco Naturally Powered range? If so, why? If not why not?
See above

Q6. What, if any, improvements would you make to the Naturally Powered products you were testing?
All to do with the packaging informing me some facts as to why this is so green-it just mentions plant derived ingredients and no mention of energy used in production, carbon offsetting, how long it stays in water courses. The packaging did not tell me it was really green.

Q7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the products to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would not recommend because although the cleaning was good I can get the same performance using other brands which seem to me to be more greener.

seven77 · 02/05/2012 22:28

I tested the naturally powered non bio washing powder.

Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using them?

I had never heard of them before.

Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products?

The smell was nice although a little overpowering. I particularly liked the measuring cup, much better than a plastic scoop.

Q3. How did the products compare to your usual cleaning products? Did it work just as well, better or worse than the products you usually use?

It failed to get out the sweet potato purée stains from my daughters bib, though to be fair my normal detergent wouldn't have removed it either. I was pleased with the performance on everything else though.

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not?

I like to use products which are more natural where possible, though I'm not happy to skimp on performance. I would have liked more information on how naturally powered is more green than other brands.

Q5. Will you continue to buy the Tesco Naturally Powered range? If so, why? If not why not?

I usually buy enormous boxes of washing powder from cash and carry so it's irrelevant. Although if I bought washing powder from tesco I would buy this product again if the price was comparable to any of the brand name products.

Q6. What, if any, improvements would you make to the Naturally Powered products you were testing?

The scent needs to be toned down, it's a pleasant smell but too overpowering. I also would like to see more information about the product on the box, although I was happy with the general performance of the product.

Q7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the products to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would only recommend this product to a friend if they were looking for a greener product or it was cheaper than their usual product, as I don't feel it performed any better than my usual washing powder.

fuckityfuckfuckfuck · 02/05/2012 22:30

Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using them?
I've never seen them, though I don't know if this is because, as I don't drive and can't get to a bigger Tesco, I wouldn't see them in the smaller Metro store I use.

Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products?
I was using the spray and actually really liked the smell. I'm 4 weeks postnatal and still in my mad cleaning phase. I cleaned my kitchen floor after cooking with my 3 year old and it came up a treat.

Q3. How did the products compare to your usual cleaning products? Did it work just as well, better or worse than the products you usually use?
I have been using a spray from Morrisons. It doesn't advertise itself as eco, but actully having now looked at the bottle there are no nasties in it, so it's actually comperable. I suspect the Tesco one may prove to be more expensive though.

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not?
Honestly don't notice, I'm more swayed by products that don't irritate my skin.

Q5. Will you continue to buy the Tesco Naturally Powered range? If so, why? If not why not?
If it's available in the smaller stores then yes I would buy it again.

Q6. What, if any, improvements would you make to the Naturally Powered products you were testing?
The bottle is dull. I don't know if it's a prototype or if this product is actually on the shelves. It's totally uninspiring and wouldn;t stand out on a shelf at all. Grey seems an odd colour for an 'eco' product. I also agree with a previous poster that it almost seems to be trying to trick you it's an independant product and not in fact produced by Tesco. Why is the Tesco branding so small?

Q7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the products to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?
I can't imagine it coming up in conversation, but I would recommend them based on the fact that it hasn't irritated my hands at all, there are certain people I know have similar problems with products as me

starlingsintheslipstream · 02/05/2012 22:31

I've got the surface spray.

Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using them?
I wasn't aware of this range, but have had eco-Tesco stuff in the past.

Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products?
Smell is fine, not too strong. Seems a good product but the nozzle bit leaks which is a bit annoying

Q3. How did the products compare to your usual cleaning products? Did it work just as well, better or worse than the products you usually use?
Prior to this I was using a homemade eco cleaner. This is slighter better, I think.

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not?
I do look for eco products and it would encourage me to buy but then, half of me thinks Hmm, Tesco are just ripping off Ecover and it won't be long before they phase Ecover out of their stores - it all seems heavy handed and bullying - Ecover have made the market and Tesco come along and copy it.

Q5. Will you continue to buy the Tesco Naturally Powered range? If so, why? If not why not?
Possibly the spray. I'm sceptical about eco washing powders though.

Q6. What, if any, improvements would you make to the Naturally Powered products you were testing?
A non leak nozzle

Q7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the products to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?
Can't imagine ever discussing it but no.

Stellarforstar · 02/05/2012 22:47

Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using them?

I hadn't noticed them before as I always buy from the same "family" of cleaning products.

Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products?

I was quite impressed! They definitely work well, and smell lovely- I had the antibac spray, and have been using it on the floor near the door where the dog comes in and out as well as all around the house, and it has worked very well.
It didn't make my hands sting as much as my usual cleaner.

The washing up liquid was nice, the bubbles felt really rich and lasted a long time.

Q3. How did the products compare to your usual cleaning products? Did it work just as well, better or worse than the products you usually use?

Comparedto my usual products, they were just as good. I think the NP spray smelt much nicer, less artificial.

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not?

Based on my lay knowledge of "green" detergents, I don't think this is "green" enough for me to buy it for that reason.

Q5. Will you continue to buy the Tesco Naturally Powered range? If so, why? If not why not?

I would buy it if it were not much more expensive than my usual cleaner, or if it were on offer, simply for the smell and the no stinging!

Q6. What, if any, improvements would you make to the Naturally Powered products you were testing?

My bottle had leaked in the post! Not sure if this was transit related, but the trigger mechanism did feel a bit flimsy. I'm not sure it won't break before i've finished the bottle.

Q7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the products to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would recommend themto a friend who's got sensitive skin or can't stand the synthetic fragrance of other cleaners.

Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using them?
I had never heard of them

Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products?
I liked the smell even if it is a bit "strong" at first. It didn't smear. Cleaned ok. Unfortunately the bottle leaked everytime I sprayed and after just one use my hands were burning ( I have psoriasis) and are now a bit raw . I dont need gloves with ecover but with Tesco's I had to stop using the spray

Q3. How did the products compare to your usual cleaning products? Did it work just as well, better or worse than the products you usually use?
I am a convert to the Ecover spray after I was chosen to test the last batch of natural cleaners. It seemed to work as well but the smell on the Tesco's was far stronger.

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not?
Very important. I don't use harsh chemicals if possible. I am not sure how "green" this spray was, there are an awful lot of chemicals listed on the bottle. It doesn't appear to have been approved by anyone either

Q5. Will you continue to buy the Tesco Naturally Powered range? If so, why? If not why not?
Unlikely - see burning hands issue above

Q6. What, if any, improvements would you make to the Naturally Powered products you were testing?
Stop the bottle leaking, back up the natural claim with an approved mark from an appropriate authority. Supply some proper "green" credentials

Q7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the products to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?
Depends if they have a skin condition/sensitive skin or not

I was testing the anti-bacterial Multi-Surface Spray

Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products?

It was fine, cleaned like the other surface sprays that I use, nice smell. Nothing particularly made it stand out from the other sprays I have used but it did work so it would all come down to price for me.

Worked just as well

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not?

I often buy ecover out of guilt so if this a genuinely green product and the price compared favourably, then i might switch to this one.
