NOW CLOSED: Tesco’s Naturally Powered (antibacterial spray or non-bio washing powder) product testers review thread

AnnMumsnet · 01/05/2012 14:54

This thread is for the 1000 Mumsnetters who are trying out the Naturally Powered range of cleaning products by Tesco.

If you don't know about these products, here's what Tesco has to say:

"In the past, green cleaning products have been let down by their performance. Working closely with a team of chemists, scientists and environmental experts, we have created the Naturally Powered range of eco cleaning products - specially formulated to have a reduced impact on the environment than other leading products and with the cleaning performance you'd expect."

Mumsnetters have been testing either the antibacterial spray or the non-bio washing powder. In addition, all testers received a trial-sized sachet of washing up liquid.

If you are a tester, please state which product you were testing and answer the questions below - feel free to also add any other comments you may have.

Everyone who adds their comments to this thread will be entered into a prize draw, where one person will win £200 of Tesco vouchers.

Questions:

Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using them?

Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products?

Q3. How did the products compare to your usual cleaning products? Did it work just as well, better or worse than the products you usually use?

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not?

Q5. Will you continue to buy the Tesco Naturally Powered range? If so, why? If not why not?

Q6. What, if any, improvements would you make to the Naturally Powered products you were testing?

Q7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the products to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?

Thanks and good luck with the prize draw!

Washing Powder

Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using them?

Had no opinion - never heard of them.

Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products?

The washing powder seemed to work, the performance seems good. There is a subtle, 'clean' smell and the clothes feel normal.

Q3. How did the products compare to your usual cleaning products? Did it work just as well, better or worse than the products you usually use?

I usually use any powder on offer (bio or non-bio) The powder seemed to work just as well.

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not?

I am becoming more aware/concerned about the products we use and the effect on the environment. The green credentials are important to me, but I have to balance between cost and 'green-ness' at the moment.

Q5. Will you continue to buy the Tesco Naturally Powered range? If so, why? If not why not?

If I am shopping in Tesco and it was a reasonable price then I would definitely buy again.

Q6. What, if any, improvements would you make to the Naturally Powered products you were testing?

None that I can think of.

Q7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the products to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?

I wouldn't go out of my way to actively recommend it as there was nothing totally 'stand out' about it, although I certainly wouldn't recommend 'no'.

Tested the Antibac spray and washing up liquid

Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using them?

I thought they were a good idea, but was concerned about the performance and price.

Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products?

The washing up liquid was quite a strong smell, and my hands were a bit dry after use, the antibac spray was good, still a strong smell though. They both workes as well as my usual product.

Q3. How did the products compare to your usual cleaning products? Did it work just as well, better or worse than the products you usually use?

They worked just as well, but have left a really strong lemony smell in the kitchen, a nice smell but very strong.

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would like to buy more green products, and would get the antibac spray if it was well priced, and would be interested in other products.

Q5. Will you continue to buy the Tesco Naturally Powered range? If so, why? If not why not?

I would get the spray if it was reasonably priced, I would live with the odour for a good price/green credential. I don't think I would get the washing up liquid as it does not suit my skin.

Q6. What, if any, improvements would you make to the Naturally Powered products you were testing?

I would reduce the odour slightly.

Q7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the products to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would mention it to friends who are looking at a greener life, but I would wait to see the price before telling others aswell.

TeWiDoesTheHulaInHawaii · 03/05/2012 14:14

Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using them?
I didn't really have one. I haven't really noticed them.

Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products?
They worked well, but I thought they had a strong smell which I didn't really like, also the first time I used the washing powder I used the recommended amount and the clothes felt a bit gritty, I used less the next time and didn't notice this. They did a good job on baby and toddler poo!

Q3. How did the products compare to your usual cleaning products? Did it work just as well, better or worse than the products you usually use?
I think it was a little better at stain removal than the tesco colour which I had been using just before the trial started.

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not?
I do prefer Green products, especially for things that get used a lot like toilet cleaner and washing powder.

Q5. Will you continue to buy the Tesco Naturally Powered range? If so, why? If not why not?
I might, but not the washing powder because I didn't like the smell.

Q6. What, if any, improvements would you make to the Naturally Powered products you were testing?
Make it less smelly.

Q7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the products to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would probably say it was good for stains but that the smell was strong.

oldteacher · 03/05/2012 14:23

I tested the washing powder.

Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using them?

Looked like other products, not too perfumed.

Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products?

Clothes looked cleaner and smelt fresh. Didn't seem to clean my nappies as well as my usual washing liquid. Smell was fine, but I don't like using too perfumed products anyway. Some residue left in my machine drawer, so would consider using slightly less product next time.

Q3. How did the products compare to your usual cleaning products? Did it work just as well, better or worse than the products you usually use?

It worked as well for my dark wash, but didn't brighten/clean my white nappies up as well as my usual (liquid).

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not?

Green credentials are important, I liked the recycable washing cup. It would influence my decision to buy a product.

Q5. Will you continue to buy the Tesco Naturally Powered range? If so, why? If not why not?

Probably not, as I try and avoid shopping at Tesco.

Q6. What, if any, improvements would you make to the Naturally Powered products you were testing?

I have mild Triskaidekaphobia, so seeing the box was suitable for 13 washes puts me off a bit.

Q7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the products to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?

Probably not, it did what it said it was going to do but I don't think it was significantly different to any other product to lavish any energy and oxygen talking about it.

Voidka · 03/05/2012 14:37

I tested the Antibacterial Spray.

Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using them? I do use Ecover WUL as I have eczema on my hands. I like the idea that something can clean as well as a leading brand without having lots of chemicals in it.

Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products? I think it worked very well. I cleaned my kitchen and bathroom with it and it did as good a job as the dettol spray I usually use.

Q3. How did the products compare to your usual cleaning products? Did it work just as well, better or worse than the products you usually use? It worked just as well, and without the overpowering smell.

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not? It is a factor, but I dont see it as the main reason for me to buy something.

Q5. Will you continue to buy the Tesco Naturally Powered range? If so, why? If not why not? Yes I think so. One thing I really like is the fact the nozzle gives you 2 different kinds of spray. I like the fact is isnt overpowering and it works just as well as my usual product.

Q6. What, if any, improvements would you make to the Naturally Powered products you were testing? None for me.

Q7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the products to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not? If it did come up in conversation then I would recommend it.

unquietmind · 03/05/2012 14:56

Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using them?

I have used them when I couldnt afford Ecover or they were on special offer. I thought maybe they were a bit more environmentally friendly than the generic tesco brand but not as environmentally friendly as brands which focus on this

Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products?

We had the washing powder and seems to have worked fine. In the past I used to have to accept that the eco friendly washing powder wasnt as good but I think across the board the quality has improved and this also applies to the Tesco version. I loved how small the box was and concentrated too!

Q3. How did the products compare to your usual cleaning products? Did it work just as well, better or worse than the products you usually use?

I find it hard to be loyal to washing powder as the cost is a big incentive to change brand but this worked as well as other brands

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not?

Green credentials are big for me. I do my family shop at Tesco but buy most of my none children items at my local ethical store, so if Tesco can offer equally green and competively priced items, I may be tempted to buy certain items there. I would like to buy everything at the ethical shop and support it completely but cannot afford to.

Q5. Will you continue to buy the Tesco Naturally Powered range? If so, why? If not why not?

Yes if it is reasonably priced

Q6. What, if any, improvements would you make to the Naturally Powered products you were testing?

none, happy with it

Q7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the products to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?

It only came up in conversation with my partner, but I have friends who have eco friendly life styles and I would pass it on if products were brought up.

bluebump · 03/05/2012 15:50

Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using them?
I hadn't used them before, and only really started noticing them once I had been picked for this trial! In general I like products that have eco/green credentials and will buy them if reasonably priced or if they were on offer.

Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products?
I had the spray, I thought it smelt nice but also the smell didn't linger too much like some cleaning products can do. I used the sachet of washing up liquid too which I thought was nice, it was quite thick and everything seemed nice and clean afterwards.

Q3. How did the products compare to your usual cleaning products? Did it work just as well, better or worse than the products you usually use?
I think the spray worked just as well as the normal products I use, the smell was probably a bit nicer though with the trial product and lingered less.

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not?
I think the green credentials are important and I tend to lean towards products like this if I can afford them.

Q5. Will you continue to buy the Tesco Naturally Powered range? If so, why? If not why not?
Yes if it's reasonably priced.

Q6. What, if any, improvements would you make to the Naturally Powered products you were testing?
Nothing I can think of.

Q7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the products to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes I am sure I would recommend it.

BrianButterfield · 03/05/2012 15:59

Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using them?

Hadn't really noticed them as I don't really buy green products.

Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products?

I thought the washing powder was a good, run-of-the-mill powder. The smell in the box is lovely but didn't linger much. I wasn't overly impressed with the cleaning but neither was I very disappointed. The cardboard measuring cup is great but I didn't notice that 30ml is up the line and so I put in double the first couple of times. It did work a lot better like that though!

Q3. How did the products compare to your usual cleaning products? Did it work just as well, better or worse than the products you usually use?

It was worse than top branded products such as Persil liquid etc but on a par with own-brand or cheaper powders. The washing-up liquid was as good or better than what I usually use.

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not?

I don't usually choose brands on that factor but now I am aware of it a bit more I might.

Q5. Will you continue to buy the Tesco Naturally Powered range? If so, why? If not why not?

I would buy the washing powder if it competed well on price with other brands. If it were the same price I would definitely consider it. I would not buy it if it were more expensive as I don't think the performance warrants it. The washing-up liquid I would buy again.

Q6. What, if any, improvements would you make to the Naturally Powered products you were testing?

The bag in the washing powder box is annoying and seems superfluous, especially for a green product. I would like a bit more stain removing power too.

Q7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the products to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, I would recommend that they gave them a try because I think a lot of people don't even really look at eco products and this is a good one to try.

Cyclebump · 03/05/2012 16:09

I'm using the nonbiological washing powder.

Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using them?

I'd never heard of them.

Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products?

The smell is lovely and it cleans reasonably well (although I use nonbiological as DH and DS have sensitive skin biological always cleans slightly better). It dissolved well from the washing machine tray, a definite plus!

Q3. How did the products compare to your usual cleaning products? Did it work just as well, better or worse than the products you usually use?

It worked as well as my usual detergent, which surprised me, especially on my reusable nappies.

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not?

Although I'd love to buy greener but my decision comes down to cost in general.

Q5. Will you continue to buy the Tesco Naturally Powered range? If so, why? If not why not?

If it is competitively priced and goes on offer in line with other powders I'd use it again.

Q6. What, if any, improvements would you make to the Naturally Powered products you were testing?

A pouring spout on the box, it's fiddly to get out.

Q7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the products to a friend? If so, why?

I would probably recommend it to me more environmentally conscious friends.

Belo · 03/05/2012 16:15

Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using them?

Small package. Probably wouldn't buy such a small one as we do a lot of washing. I prefer to buy in bulk. Do they do larger packs?

Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products?

Yes, they seemed to work. However, with ecover it was not until I'd used it quite a few times that I started to suspect it wasn't working as well as it could.

Q3. How did the products compare to your usual cleaning products? Did it work just as well, better or worse than the products you usually use?

So far so good. See above.

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not?

I do try and buy green products.

Q5. Will you continue to buy the Tesco Naturally Powered range? If so, why? If not why not?

I will try some more if they do bigger packages.

Q6. What, if any, improvements would you make to the Naturally Powered products you were testing?

Would have liked a fragrance which stuck to the clothes after washing. But, then again, can that be done whislt keeping its green credentials?

Q7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the products to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?

So far, so good. But, have only done 4 washes.

bubby64 · 03/05/2012 16:38

I tested the washing powder

Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using them?

I had never heard of them before.

Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products?

It seemed to work as well as my usual brand at the lower temperature, but there seemed to be trouble with dissolving the powder in the dispenser of my cold fill washing machine with our very hard water. The smell was nice and fresh.
Love the washing up liquid tho.

Q3. How did the products compare to your usual cleaning products? Did it work just as well, better or worse than the products you usually use?

It worked as well on the whites, but some powder residue on the dark coloured. I usually use liquid rather than powder, so might lookout for that instead

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not?

TBH, not as important as price and ability to do the job first time.

Q5. Will you continue to buy the Tesco Naturally Powered range? If so, why? If not why not?

If it comes in a liquid form, then yes.

Q6. What, if any, improvements would you make to the Naturally Powered products you were testing?

As I said, the powder did not dissolve well, so a liquid form woulkd be better for me. Also, would look for a combined powder/conditioner if I could.

Q7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the products to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, if they were looking for a competative "eco" brand, but not for general washing in our very hard water area.

insanityscratching · 03/05/2012 16:42

Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using them?
I'd never tried the Tesco range. Had used Ecover though and didn't rate the washing liquid so probably wouldn't have tried the Naturally Powered range as a consequence.

Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products?
I was pleasantly surprised tbh after the Ecover experience I wasn't expecting much but each load has been clean and smells fresh. I like the fragrance a lot. I haven't as yet washed heavily dirty clothes yet though so I think that will be the true test. Dd is on a school residential so the clothes she brings back will be filthy I'll see how it fares then.

Q3. How did the products compare to your usual cleaning products? Did it work just as well, better or worse than the products you usually use?
The powder worked as well as my regular brand on the stuff I have washed I'm not sure how it will cope on whites and mud stained clothes though.

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not?
I want a product that works at a good price if it's a green product all the better but it isn't my priority tbh.

Q5. Will you continue to buy the Tesco Naturally Powered range? If so, why? If not why not?
I might if it's a good price and it works on the whites and heavy soiled garments.

Q6. What, if any, improvements would you make to the Naturally Powered products you were testing?
I think the packaging is drab tbh and I'd probably not notice them on the shelf. I also put the powder in the drum as I found it didn't go through the drawer well.

Q7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the products to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would definitely in preference to Ecover anyway.

veeeee · 03/05/2012 16:46

I tested the washing powder

Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using them?
Not good, they are an own brand and eco product and the one's I've previously tried have been poor.

Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products?
The washing powder works as well as the branded one I usually use.
The washing up liquid was fab! Glasses are sparkly and it cleaned a dirty frying pan really quickly and easily.

Q3. How did the products compare to your usual cleaning products? Did it work just as well, better or worse than the products you usually use?
Washing powder was the same, washing up liquid was better

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not?
I try to be as green as possible so if it works and it's green then yes I would buy it

Q5. Will you continue to buy the Tesco Naturally Powered range? If so, why? If not why not?
No because I do not shop at Tesco

Q6. What, if any, improvements would you make to the Naturally Powered products you were testing?
The washing up liquid had a very pungent smell which stayed behind on the things I had washed up.
The washing powder smell is a llittle overpowering too.

Q7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the products to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would mention that it worked and that the smell was too much, particularly if the friend already shopped at Tesco but I wouldn't tell someone to go there especially to buy it

Tee2072 · 03/05/2012 16:58

I finally remembered to use the washing up liquid and I was really impressed.

I don't have a dishwasher so do all dishes by hand and that little tiny sample, which I scoffed at, lasted for all the breakfast and lunch dishes. It even made the drip coffee pot sparkle, which is really hard to do as I like my coffee thick, like tar. Grin

So I am very likely to buy it, if it's close in price to Fairy, which is what I normally use.

SoTiredoftheWheelsontheBus · 03/05/2012 17:00

I've already posted about my first use of the washing powder, but have just tried the sachet of washing up liquid. I normally use a supermarket own brand liquid, but had been told by friends who use eco ones that they produce fewer bubbles. The naturally powered one still had loads of bubbles, got the dishes clean (including a roasting pan that I put in soak for a bit) and smelt nice. If the price is comparable to my normal liquid, I would buy this instead.

100years · 03/05/2012 17:03

I was testing the Anti-bacterial spray

Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using them?

I didn't know about them until seeing about them on here.

Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products?

I liked the product. The spray cleaned up the mess created by a 7 1/2 BLWer! It smelt fresh.

Q3. How did the products compare to your usual cleaning products? Did it work just as well, better or worse than the products you usually use?

I would say it was compatible to the usual spray.

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not?

The green credentials are quite important to me and DP, it would affect my decision to buy, I would choose this over one that wasn't green.

Q5. Will you continue to buy the Tesco Naturally Powered range? If so, why? If not why not?

I would buy the product again.

Q6. What, if any, improvements would you make to the Naturally Powered products you were testing?

The bottle leaked, whether this was because it had come through the post or a fault in the design of the trigger I don't know.

Q7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the products to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes I think I would.

northernmonkey · 03/05/2012 17:26

Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using them?
I honestly hadn't seen or heard of them before this test

Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products?
The smell was lovely and they seemed to do the job quite well. I have used a different brand of natural washing powder and I have to admit Tesco's version fairs much better in my opinion
Q3. How did the products compare to your usual cleaning products? Did it work just as well, better or worse than the products you usually use?
The washing up liquid smelt really REALLY nice but I dont this it is quite as good as fairy which is a brand I have used for years. I thought that the soapyness of it didnt last very long at all. The washing powder was good though. I do use Daz normally so I dont think this brand really can compare with the whiteness of that..BUT it does work well and I will look out for it in Tesco's

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not?
*I have to admit lately I have been looking more at natural products. I really like natural cleaners as apposed to anti bac/bleach sprays as i find that natural ones clean and smell MUCH better. I think when it comes to the washing powder I may have just found the brand I will use8 :)
Q5. Will you continue to buy the Tesco Naturally Powered range? If so, why? If not why not?
Yes yes!! Providing the price is good though. If it is stupidly expensive then I may have to think twice

Q6. What, if any, improvements would you make to the Naturally Powered products you were testing?
for me it would be to work on the washing up liquid, but maybe it's because I have used Fairy for years that I am struggling with change?
Q7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the products to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would recommend them yes, but again providing the price isn't too bad*

Codandchops · 03/05/2012 18:10

Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using them?

I got the multi surface cleaner and before using it I think I just thought "oh another eco-product" which although welcome was just yet another choice on the shelf.

Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products?

The surface cleaner was lovely, had a really fresh lemony fragrance, I used it in the kitchen and cleaned the bathroom with it - really nice lemony smell which lingered pleasantly.

Q3. How did the products compare to your usual cleaning products? Did it work just as well, better or worse than the products you usually use?

This worked just as well as my standard cleaner and had a nicer fragrance.

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not?

I am ashamed to say I rarely look at the green credentials of products although I feel I should. Using this product influenced me to buy an other bottle of it and I will try the washing up liquid when I need to replce that too.

Q5. Will you continue to buy the Tesco Naturally Powered range? If so, why? If not why not?

Yes I will, it is competatively priced, works well and smells nice.

Q6. What, if any, improvements would you make to the Naturally Powered products you were testing?

Nothing I can think of.

Q7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the products to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes I would because the price is good, it works well and the fragrance is fresh.

Faverolles · 03/05/2012 18:31

Before this trial, I'd never heard of the Naturally Powered range.
I have heard of (and tried) other Eco products, but found them not as good as other non-Eco brands.

I was sent the washing powder, and loved it! I felt it worked just as well as Fairy, Ariel and Persil (we usually buy one of these, depending on which is cheapest at the time). I loved the smell, and the clothes were all as clean as they would usually be using the other brands.
My only complaint would be that the product felt slightly claggy, and always left some behind in the drawer, which we had to rinse out after every wash. I've never had to do that with the others.

Green credentials are fairly important, but for us, the price is the most important factor, and how well a product does its job. If money was no object, the green credentials would probably take higher precedence over cost.

I would love to continue with the washing powder, as I really liked it, but I've priced it up and compared it to the ones we usually get, and it's more expensive, so at the moment, it's not an option.

I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

Thankyou for the opportunity to test this.

Questions:

Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using them?

Didn't have one! Hadn't noticed them.

Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products?

The anti bac spray smells utterly lovely!! I had tried an Aggie and Kim natural cleaner and it was useless and smelt of vinegar, was using CIF acti fizz which works very well HOWEVER, the stink lingers for hours. Cleaning out the fridge with CIF is not something I would repeat. It smelt foul for 2 weeks. It was non sticky to use this product, the lemony smell is gorgeous.

Q3. How did the products compare to your usual cleaning products? Did it work just as well, better or worse than the products you usually use?

Worked just as well, but smelt soooooo much better

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not?

To be honest I am led by cost. I do buy the purple cillet bang to clean lime scale off and dh uses it on the car alloys!! But it's very dear and I think must damage some surfaces as its such a harsh cleaner.i have a lime scale mark on the bath and will try this on it later.

Q5. Will you continue to buy the Tesco Naturally Powered range? If so, why? If not why not?

Probably, dependent on cost

Q6. What, if any, improvements would you make to the Naturally Powered products you were testing?

Nothing

Q7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the products to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, because of the gorgeous smell.

Anti bac spray

Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using them? I hadn't heard of them

Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products? The product worked well and had a nice smell, I was happy with the products performance. However I only used the spray a few times, before I knocked the bottle off the counter and the spray top bit broke, this is the first time any bottle of cleaning product has broken when I've knocked it onto the floor (I'm v clumsy so it's a regular occurrence Blush I'm not sure if this is to do with the recycled bottles or just bad luck.

Q3. How did the products compare to your usual cleaning products? Did it work just as well, better or worse than the products you usually use? I usually use mr muscle kitchen cleaner and this worked just as well and smelled nicer.

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not? The green credentials of cleaning products come second to price for me at the moment but if there wasn't a massive price difference then I think I might choose a green product.

Q5. Will you continue to buy the Tesco Naturally Powered range? If so, why? If not why not? No but only because I don't often shop in Tesco as there are three other supermarkets closer to me

Q6. What, if any, improvements would you make to the Naturally Powered products you were testing? I would make the spray cap a bit more robust!

Q7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the products to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not? If it came up in conversation I would as it smelled nice, did the job ok and is Eco friendly

Q1. I didn't have an opinion, but from the description was interested.

Q2. The washing powder was ok and I liked the smell of it. I had a substantial amount of powder left in the drawer and this happened after 25C, 40C and 60C washes. The clothes still seemed clean except for the 40C wash which required re-washing. The washing liquid was fine though I found the bubbles to disappear quite quickly.

Q3. The washing powder was slightly worse due to the residual powder. The washing liquid gave the same performance as my normal powders.

Q4. They are important to me as if I buy a green product I am doing that specifically because it is green so they have to be genuine. I am trying to buy more green products so this does impact on my decisions.

Q5. No, as I have used better performing green products. I was also not entirely convinced of how green they were.

Q6. I would make the powder dissolvable and the reasons why it is a green product clearly.

Q7. No as I think there are better products.
