Netflix, an internet subscription service to watch TV shows and films instantly, are looking for Mumsnetters to try their service out for one month and to give feedback on the service on MN. If you aren't familiar with Netflix here's what the folks there have to say: "Netflix has thousands of hours of tv and film to be enjoyed by all members of the family. We have recently introduced a Just For Kids section that allows children to watch tv in a safe and friendly environment."

They want 100 Mumsnetters with at least one child aged between 3 and 12 years to test the service for one month and give their feedback throughout this time. You can access Netflix via any device which has an internet connection - eg your phone, Wii, PS3, Xbox, Smart TV, PC, Mac, etc

The product test will involve you signing up for the free trial online. To do this you will need to visit signup.netflix.com/ and sign up for a month's free trial.
You will be required to fill in your credit card details to take part - but don't worry you wont have to pay anything. To unsubscribe at the end of the free trial, if you wish to do so, all you need to do is go to 'Your account and help' then click on 'cancel membership' and follow the instructions on that page. The monthly fee would be £5.99 by direct debit.

If you would like to take part please sign up here.

We will email those selected with the sign up details and a link to the feedback thread. Please note this test will start next week so please only apply if you are around then.

All those who add their feedback will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a 40" Samsung LED TV and a PS3.

If you are already an existing Netflix customer please also feel free to leave your feedback. All those who do add their comments will be entered into a separate prize draw to win a £100 John Lewis voucher.

Thanks and good luck with the prize draw!

Netflix has been around for years...

No noticeable improvement here.

Am using netflix on free trial - really disappointed that the UK netflix doesnt have access to the same shows as the US Netflix which BIL and SIL use (seems MUCH better over there). A few things on there I'd like to watch and loads the kids want to watch but disappointed with the tv show selection.

They do have Lost in Austen though which was a fab little series.
I thought Netflix was a new thing working on the same lines as Spotify bit with films etc instead of music.

DilysPrice · 13/03/2012 16:53

Oh yes, Lost in Austen was a cracker - highly underrated.

DH has just told me that you can get £9.09 cashback through Topcashback as long as you're new member.

Will do that tonight

Right on signing up I immediately go t a big red flashy trojan alert on my antivirus. That is not good right?
