Dd is 12 weeks and we used the size 2s.

  1. I really liked these nappies and was impressed by their dry feel even when full. They fitted my baby well and the design was quite nice.
  1. Half way through the packet and no leaks so far despite some epic poos! I think they fair better than other supermarkets own and I have tried Asda ( rubbish), Tesco and Sainsburys (fine). I only spend the money on Pampers when they are little ( I don't know why but I feel I should when they are tiny) and if there was an Aldi near me I really would buy these instead. I shop at Ocado but never buy nappies there and specifically go to supermarkets to buy their own brands ( 3 kids so saves me a fortune).
  1. Ripped it open fine and tbh apart from the size I don't read it. I always store mine in nices boxes (!) so tbh don't really care what the packaging looks like.
  1. I liked the smell of the wipes but to be honest I only use cotton wool or water wipes as she is so little. On another note they are good for wiping milk sick of off clothes and cleaning the toilet! I also much prefer the plastic opener to a sticky label.
  1. no.
  1. Great value as they performed on a par with pampers.
  1. I would but I have no idea where my nearest Aldi is. I'm Richmond. Anyone know?
  1. Defo the nappies.

Girl aged 22 months, size 5 tested

Q1 What was your overall impression of Aldi nappies? Did they fit your baby/child? How did they feel?

Fitted really well, felt fine, nice and sturdy, felt as though was a quality product, have tried more 'value' brands in the past and have felt v plasticky. I liked the fact the animal has a front and back, with nappies Ive used before Ive occasionally put on the wrong way round, cant with these! Blush

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used? Did they do the job they were intended for? Any leaks?

Compared very well, we usually use pampers but have tried huggies and tesco own in past, neither of which performed well in terms of absorbency. These seemed to be exactly as good as pampers in terms of absorbency, feel, sizing, comfort etc.

Q3 What did you think of the nappy packaging? Was it easy or difficult to open? What about the information on the packaging?

Packaging was fine, information on there seemed good, especially around being 'regularly tested against the leading brand'

Q4 How did you find the wipes to use? Did you notice any difference between the normal and sensitive skin wipes? Did you find you had to use more, less or the same amount of wipes as you usually do?

Wipes compared favourably to my usual brand (pampers), although I would say the scent was quite strong. They were fine in terms of cleaning, used same amount as would do normally, kept smelling the scent though, reminded me of softener, this could be because I usually use unscented.

Q5 Is there anything about the nappies, wipes or packaging that you think could be improved? If so, what?

scent of wipes see above.

Q6 We've included some info on how much Aldi nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why? And how about the wipes - do you think they're good value or not?

yes very good value, although wipes like pampers often have bogof offers on.

Q7 Do you think you'll use the nappies again? What about the wipes? If so, why? If not, why not?

yes I will definitely

Q8 If it came up in conversation, do you think you'd recommend Aldi nappies to other parents of children or babies in nappies? If so, why? If not, why not? And would you recommend the wipes?

yes would recommend both because did the job exactly the same or better than more expensive brands.

Baby 3mths old. Size 1

Q1. Overall good fit and feel. Baby seemed comfortable in them.

Q 2. Compare very well to other brands, better than huggies. No leaks at all.

Q3. Packaging is fine. As easy to open as other brands.

Q4. Wipes were good. I preferred the sensitive as I don't like scented wipes. Although I found that they have a slight scent too. I used the same amount as usual with them.

Q5. No improvements, they are very good.

Q6. Both the nappies and wipes are excellent value, cheaper than main supermarket brands. Wipes especially as the Tesco ones I usually buy now only have 64 wipes per pack instead of 80.

Q7. Will definitely use both the nappies and wipes again.

Q8. I would recommend these to friends. In fact I already told my bfing group about them.

Test on my 6 week old daughter, newborn size nappies

Q1 What was your overall impression of Aldi nappies? Did they fit your baby/child? How did they feel?
I was very happy with the overall impression of nappies. They fit my daughter well, but perhaps could have done with the next size up.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used? Did they do the job they were intended for? Any leaks?
This is my first child so open to trying other nappies rather than just the big brand names. I feel these were just as good. No leeks and lasted through the night when my daughter would be going 6 hours or so without being changed.

Q3 What did you think of the nappy packaging? Was it easy or difficult to open? What about the information on the packaging?
Packaging was fine. All relevant information was clear to read.

Q4 How did you find the wipes to use? Did you notice any difference between the normal and sensitive skin wipes? Did you find you had to use more, less or the same amount of wipes as you normally do
I wasent so keen on the normal wipes, i felt the smell was very over powering and i didnt like it. No problems with the smell from the sensitive wipes though. Maybe a little more moist would be good. I feel like i used the same amount of wipes as normal.

Q5 Is there anything about the nappies, wipes or packaging that you think could be improved? If so, what?
As above, wipes a little more moist. Biodegradable/recyclable packing.

Q6 We've included some info on how much Aldi nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why? And how about the wipes - do you think they're good value or not?
I think the nappies and wipes are very good value for money. As a single parent, i am always looking for products that are good value.

Q7 Do you think you'll use the nappies again? What about the wipes? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would use the nappies/wipes again. Aldi isnt a shop i visit regularly, but if i was in and needed to stock up, i wouldnt hesitate to buy them.

Q8 If it came up in conversation, do you think you'd recommend Aldi nappies to other parents of children or babies in nappies? If so, why? If not, why not? And would you recommend the wipes?
Yes i wouldnt hesitate to recommened the nappies/wipes.

floss1981 · 29/11/2011 14:14
  1. Nappies fitted very well. Possibly slightly larger size than the equivalent size 1 of Pampers. Seemed soft, and comfortable.
  2. No leaks at all.
  3. Didnt really notice the packaging so presume it was fine!
  4. Really didnt like the wipes at all, very dry- felt like I was chafing dd's skin when using them, so much so that I went back to our usual Pampers (or Johnsons) wipes.
  5. The wipes definitely need more fluid in them.
  6. Nappies seem very good value. never buy Pampers unless on offer though so not much more expensive than them. I wouldnt buy the wipes again so dont think they are worth the money.
  7. Would use the nappies again but I dont have an Aldi anywhere near unfortunately.
  8. Would recommend the nappies.

Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you were trying in your response. 3.5, size pull up

Q1 What was your overall impression of Aldi nappies? Did they fit your baby/child? How did they feel? *They were completely indist
indistinguishable from the Tesco ones we already ahd- in fact I am not sure which we have left!

Q3 What did you think of the nappy packaging? Was it easy or difficult to open? What about the information on the packaging? It
Q4 How did you find the wipes to use? Did you notice any difference betwas good- bright, compact, easy to open and did the jobween the normal and sensitive skin wipes? Did you find you had to use more, less or the same amount of wipes as you usually do? Although I really liked the smell of the normal wipes, my son (who is picky) did not like the smell at all. However the fragrance free wipes were find and they did a good job

Q5 Is there anything about the nappies, wipes or packaging that you think could be improved? If so, what? No, great value for money
Q6 We've included some info on how much Aldi nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why? And how about the wipes - do you think they're good value or not? They are becuase they cost less and do the smae job

daimbardiva · 29/11/2011 16:35

i was testing newborn nappies on my 2 mo old dd.

Q1 overall impression is good. The nappies fit my baby as well as the others i use and have done the job well.
Q2 they performed well, a couple of leaks, but no more than i'd normally expect from pampers, my usual brand.
Q3 the packaging was adequate and easily opened. The design was not particularly eye-catching
Q4 the wipes were good , a bit thicker than boots or johnsons. The sensitive smelled less strongly than the normal which i preferred-i normally buy fragrance free
Q5 i also found the wipes initially difficult to get into, but that's all
Q6 nappies are excellent value , there is very little difference in quality between them and other more expensive brands. Likewise the wipes.
Q7 the only reason i'm unlikely to use these again is that i don't live near enough an aldi to make it worth a special trip. I would definitely recommend both nappies and wipes to friends who have a store nearby

MonkeyPants79 · 29/11/2011 18:28

DD is 16 weeks and we were using the size 2 nappies (Mini)

What was your overall impression of Aldi nappies? Did they fit your baby/child? How did they feel?
My first impressions were that the nappies were very soft. DD is at the top of the weight range for the nappies and they were quite snug round the waist.
How did they compare with other nappies you've used? Did they do the job they were intended for? Any leaks?
I usually use Huggies or Pampers, they are so much softer than Huggies and don't have the chemical smell that Pampers have, however, Pampers fit much better. DD is quite long and lean and unfortunately the Aldi nappies couldn't contain her poos. It's the first time I have had a poo leak and it wasn't pleasant. It happened twice. On comparing them against the same Pampers nappy you can see Aldi does come up slightly short.
What did you think of the nappy packaging? Was it easy or difficult to open? What about the information on the packaging?
I didn't pay much attention to the outer packaging - it was easy enough to open. The actual nappies seemed to have a rabbit on a deserted island which seemed a bit sad. Just having a design on the front made it easy to make sure I didn't put them on back to front.
How did you find the wipes to use? Did you notice any difference between the normal and sensitive skin wipes? Did you find you had to use more, less or the same amount of wipes as you usually do?
At first I thought the plastic lid on the wipes was genius however it was impossible to open the one on the normal wipes and seeing as I'm usually doing it one handed I had to leave the lid open, therefore defeating the purpose. I didn't use the normal wipes for long as I found the perfume overpowering. Instead I gave them to a friend who thought they were fab but the last few wipes were too strong smelling. The sensitive ones were great - I didn't get reams of wipes coming out and I probably used less than I usually would but the plastic lid whilst easier to open now refuses to stay shut.
Is there anything about the nappies, wipes or packaging that you think could be improved? If so, what?
The nappies could be longer, however I probably should have gone up a size but like for like compared to Pampers they were smaller. The plastic lid thing doesn't work so I'd leave that out but other than that, no.
We've included some info on how much Aldi nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why? And how about the wipes - do you think they're good value or not?
They are cheaper than other brands, I would need to try the next size up to see if they still leak before I could say whether they are good value for money. The wipes are definitely.
Do you think you'll use the nappies again? What about the wipes? If so, why? If not, why not?
If I was in Aldi I would try the next size up to see if they are a better fit, I would definitely buy the wipes again.
If it came up in conversation, do you think you'd recommend Aldi nappies to other parents of children or babies in nappies? If so, why? If not, why not? And would you recommend the wipes?
I would recommend both the wipes and nappies and in fact have done so already!

Moodykat · 29/11/2011 20:30

DS is 5 months, we tried size 3 nappies.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Aldi nappies? Did they fit your baby/child? How did they feel?
I thought they were great, nice and stretchy and soft.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used? Did they do the job they were intended for? Any leaks?
They are just as good, IMO, as any of the "brands", no leaks or problems at all.

Q3 What did you think of the nappy packaging? Was it easy or difficult to open? What about the information on the packaging?
I'm afraid I barely noticed the packaging but there must not've been anything offensive or I would've noticed!

Q4 How did you find the wipes to use? Did you notice any difference between the normal and sensitive skin wipes? Did you find you had to use more, less or the same amount of wipes as you usually do?
I really, really liked the wipes. The normal ones smelt a bit like toilet cleaner but the sensitive ones were great! Used less than the normal brand I use as you only get one out at a time as opposed to 8!

Q5 Is there anything about the nappies, wipes or packaging that you think could be improved? If so, what?
I don't think there is to be honest! Unlike others, I found the plastic closure brilliant!

Q6 We've included some info on how much Aldi nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why? And how about the wipes - do you think they're good value or not?
They are great value for money I think. The wipes especially.

Q7 Do you think you'll use the nappies again? What about the wipes? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes to both! Cheaper and just as good as the other brands!

Q8 If it came up in conversation, do you think you'd recommend Aldi nappies to other parents of children or babies in nappies? If so, why? If not, why not? And would you recommend the wipes?
I already have! In fact, gave a couple of free nappies to friends to try too and they also thought they were good.

LittlePebble · 29/11/2011 21:30

My son is 6 weeks old and we tried the newborn size 1 nappy.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Aldi nappies? Did they fit your baby/child? How did they feel?

I was pleasantly surprised at how soft they felt, I was a little concerned at first that they were a little thin. They fit him well.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used? Did they do the job they were intended for? Any leaks?

Although thinner than Huggies or Pampers, they did the job - no leaks and lasted well.

Q3 What did you think of the nappy packaging? Was it easy or difficult to open? What about the information on the packaging?

Packaging was fine - would like perforated tear lines.

Q4 How did you find the wipes to use? Did you notice any difference between the normal and sensitive skin wipes? Did you find you had to use more, less or the same amount of wipes as you usually do?

I thought they were a little dry so I did have to use more on occasion. Sensitive ones preferred due to lack of perfume. I like the closeable plastic mouth on packet but it was dificult to open at first.

Q5 Is there anything about the nappies, wipes or packaging that you think could be improved? If so, what?

Wipes less dry, otherwise for the price was very pleased.

Q6 We've included some info on how much Aldi nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why? And how about the wipes - do you think they're good value or not?

yes

Q7 Do you think you'll use the nappies again? What about the wipes? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would if there was an Aldi near me but would have to travel an extra 30 minutes to get to an Aldi. I would buy if I was passing.

Q8 If it came up in conversation, do you think you'd recommend Aldi nappies to other parents of children or babies in nappies? If so, why? If not, why not? And would you recommend the wipes?

I already have recommended the nappies and sensitive wipes and would do again.

SlothAttack · 29/11/2011 22:52

My son is 7 months, we sampled size 3 nappies.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Aldi nappies? Did they fit your baby/child? How did they feel?

I liked the nappies, they were a snug fit, they fit better than huggies nappies and non of the side tabs came off when i pulled them to attach - which alot of brands do! They felt a good quality and the desins on them were cute too.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used? Did they do the job they were intended for? Any leaks?

We didn't have any leaks. I would say they faired equally to other brands I've used, I didn't notice any differece in using them. I mostly buy pampers if on offer or boots own brand (i sometimes get huggies but not really a fan)

They lasted well, even through the night and my son has started to sleep through a full night so thats impressive :)

Q3 What did you think of the nappy packaging? Was it easy or difficult to open? What about the information on the packaging?

I found the packaging fine, I had no trouble opening them.

The info on the package is clear and easy to read and the packaging is nicely designed, they don't look like 'cheap' nappies.

Q4 How did you find the wipes to use? Did you notice any difference between the normal and sensitive skin wipes? Did you find you had to use more, less or the same amount of wipes as you usually do?

The sensitive wipes were fine, perhaps slightly drier than other wipes?? we usually bu boots own or sainsburies own. but they did the job they were made for.

I don't usually use 'normal' wipes as all my kids have sensitive skin but I did try them ... but as expected they gave him a rash, I wouldn't say this is down to Aldis brand, just 'normal' wipes in general tend to do this to my kids, so I binned the normal ones but would happily buy the sensitive version again.

Q5 Is there anything about the nappies, wipes or packaging that you think could be improved? If so, what?

I found the wipes really hard o open!! My husband and I were divided on this as he said it was a GOOD thing because it was impossible for our older kids (2, 5 and 6) to open the wipes and mess with them, but when i was half way through a nappy change and holding my sons legs in one hand it wasn't the best thing to be honest!! I would want a wipe box thats easy to open one handed.

Q6 We've included some info on how much Aldi nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why? And how about the wipes - do you think they're good value or not?

I think they are good value, yes, I usually try to get nappies on offer, they usually cost £10 for 2 packs so 4.99 for 50+ seems good value.

I'm used to paying around £1 per pack for wipes (on offer usually) so79p sounds fablous :)

Q7 Do you think you'll use the nappies again? What about the wipes? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would use the nappies again, and the wipes, but only the sensitive.

Q8 If it came up in conversation, do you think you'd recommend Aldi nappies to other parents of children or babies in nappies? If so, why? If not, why not? And would you recommend the wipes?

I would yes, my sister is having a baby soon and I would reccomend she try them herelf. I will probably stock up on them next time I am in aldi.

bilblio · 01/12/2011 12:38

Tested Mamia Mini nappies on DS who is now 7 weeks old. I took some time testing them as with DD certain nappies and wipes caused nappy rash. I'm not sure yet if DS has sensitive skin but I've been careful about using new things so that if he did have any problems I'd know what had caused it. As it is we've had no problems so nappies and wipes passed the sensitive bum test with flying colours. :o

Q1 What was your overall impression of Aldi nappies? Did they fit your baby/child? How did they feel?
Really impressed. They were nice and slim, this was the first time we've moved up from newborn size, but they fit him well.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used? Did they do the job they were intended for? Any leaks?
Compared well. We've had a couple of leaks, but only when he's done explosive poo's which he's saved up all day and I doubt any nappy could contain. :O

Q3 What did you think of the nappy packaging? Was it easy or difficult to open? What about the information on the packaging?
The packs were easy to open, and the information I needed (about sizes) was nice and clear.
The colours are very similar to pampers which always leaked and gave DD nappy rask, so if I'd seen these in the shop I'd assume they were made by pampers and wouldn't have bought them.

Q4 How did you find the wipes to use? Did you notice any difference between the normal and sensitive skin wipes? Did you find you had to use more, less or the same amount of wipes as you usually do?
Really liked the wipes. I have sensitive skin, particularly on my hands, but I had no problems with either variety. They worked very well, stayed moist thanks to the clip top lid and I only needed a couple to get DS clean. The smell was nice too. We've only used cotton wool and water on him so far but it's certainly much easier than that.
I also liked that the wipes came out individually, I didn't have to do the vigorous shake while stopping DC putting their feet in poo routine. :o

Q5 Is there anything about the nappies, wipes or packaging that you think could be improved? If so, what?
Change the packaging colours so that they look unique.

Q6 We've included some info on how much Aldi nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why? And how about the wipes - do you think they're good value or not?
Both are very good value for money and I'm likely to go to Aldi specifically to buy them.

Q7 Do you think you'll use the nappies again? What about the wipes? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes definitely for both.

Q8 If it came up in conversation, do you think you'd recommend Aldi nappies to other parents of children or babies in nappies? If so, why? If not, why not? And would you recommend the wipes?
Yes I recommend nappies and wipes.

Lillabet · 01/12/2011 13:23

We used the comfy up pants on our two year old.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Aldi nappies? Did they fit your baby/child? How did they feel?
They fit my two year old very well (slightly surprising as he is a big lad!), they weren?t overly bulky and felt really soft. I like the front / back indicator too.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used? Did they do the job they were intended for? Any leaks?
They did a surprisingly good job, I would consider them comparable to the Pampers we would usually use and they stood up well. There were a couple of leaks, I think the lack of bulk is a double edged sword ? great for look but does mean you have to change a little more regularly or they leak. They were lovely and soft too which many others are not.

Q3 What did you think of the nappy packaging? Was it easy or difficult to open? What about the information on the packaging?
Packaging was good, not difficult to get into, but I wasn?t in a hurry ? I imagine it would be a little more difficult/annoying if you were in a hurry and up to your elbows in poo and screaming child Wink

Q4 How did you find the wipes to use? Did you notice any difference between the normal and sensitive skin wipes? Did you find you had to use more, less or the same amount of wipes as you usually do?
The wipes we used were excellent! Not too wet or dry and felt good and strong (in the words of DH ? they don?t feel like you?re about to stick your finger through them and get all pooey!). We only used the sensitive ones however, as when I opened the normal ones the perfume was overpowering (and frankly vile) and my two year olds skin is sensitive enough I didn?t even want to risk trying them. They felt greasy in quite an unpleasant way.

Q5 Is there anything about the nappies, wipes or packaging that you think could be improved? If so, what?
The comfy up pants were excellent, although when removed there was no way to seal them (think the little sticky tab on the back of Pampers Easy Ups) and although it didn?t bother me too much, DH was less than impressed. The wipes are good as they are although the normal ones need the fragrance changing; it is overpowering and frankly horrible! The ?lids? on the wipes are difficult to get into the first time but thereafter are not too bad and actually the seal is good and prevents them drying out.

Q6 We've included some info on how much Aldi nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why? And how about the wipes - do you think they're good value or not?
I think at around half the price of the Pampers I usually use is excellent value and I would definitely consider using these over my usual. The wipes are excellent value for money, they are comparable in cost to the Asda ones I use, but they definitely feel stronger and actually I think they work better.

Q7 Do you think you'll use the nappies again? What about the wipes? If so, why? If not, why not?
Definitely will be using the wipes again, they are great and I was miffed when I ran out of the sensitive ones.
The nappies I will probably use again, I will be trying the Junior nappies to see how they compare to my usual for overnight and if they are comparable I will definitely use them instead.

Q8 If it came up in conversation, do you think you'd recommend Aldi nappies to other parents of children or babies in nappies? If so, why? If not, why not? And would you recommend the wipes?
I?d recommend the Comfy ups as a viable alternative to more expensive brands and if the Junior nappies stand up well I?d recommend those too. They are surprisingly soft for a cheaper pant; so many cheaper alternatives are not!
I?d definitely recommend the sensitive wipes, good value for money, nice and thick and not too wet or dry. I wouldn?t recommend the normal wipes as they are too smelly and feel greasy.

I tested the newborn nappies on my 2 week old son.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Aldi nappies? Did they fit your baby/child? How did they feel?

I was impressed with the feel of the nappies. They seemed similar to some of the other brands that I've used. They fit DS as well as any other nappy given that he was quite scrawny

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used? Did they do the job they were intended for? Any leaks?

The were on a par with other brands. No leaks at all.

Q3 What did you think of the nappy packaging? Was it easy or difficult to open? What about the information on the packaging?

To be honest I didn't really pay particular attention to this. The packet was easy enough to open.

Q4 How did you find the wipes to use? Did you notice any difference between the normal and sensitive skin wipes? Did you find you had to use more, less or the same amount of wipes as you usually do?

The wipes were good. I preferred the sensitive skin ones as they were less scented. I found the packet quite stiff to open so couldn't do it with one hand. I used about the same amount as with any other brands. I actually preferred the sensitive skin wipes to one of the 'top' brands

Q5 Is there anything about the nappies, wipes or packaging that you think could be improved? If s

I would like to be able to open the wipes with one hand but that's the only improvement I can think of

Q6 We've included some info on how much Aldi nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why? And how about the wipes - do you think they're good value or not?

I think both the nappies and the wipes are good value for money as they were good quality and competitively priced

Q7 Do you think you'll use the nappies again? What about the wipes? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would use the nappies and the sensitive skin wipes again. I wouldn't use the normal wipes as they were too heavily scented for me

Q8 If it came up in conversation, do you think you'd recommend Aldi nappies to other parents of children or babies in nappies? If so, why? If not, why not? And would you recommend the wipes?

I would recommend the nappies and the sensitive skin wipes but not the normal wipes, for the reasons given above

DD is 2yrs & 4 months, we've been trying the Mamia size 5 / Junior nappies.

Q1 Overall impression is good! They fit really well, felt soft, stayed on and didn't sag.

Q2 We used the nappies night and day and we had no leaks, but neither does the brand I normally use (Nature Baby). I prefer the Aldi nappies to Huggies and Pampers.

Q3 The packaging was so-so. Nothing new or different that stands out from other brands. The pack was easy enough to open, and the information (size, no. of nappies) was sufficient. I didn't particularly like the green colour.

Q4 The wipes were fine, but I found the sensitive pack slightly too dry. I felt that they didn't glide over DD's skin very well, they were a bit 'squeaky'. I didn't notice other differences between sensitive and normal. I'm ashamed to say I was more generous with the wipes than usual because they were cheap!

Q5 I am probably drawn to more 'natural' looking packaging, and more organic or natural ingredients and materials, but I appreciate this may make the products more expensive. The wipes need to be easier to open.

Q6 I think both the nappies and wipes are incredibly good value for money - makes me wonder how on earth other brands get away with charging so much.

Q7 The reason I will stick to my existing brand of nappies is that they contain biodegradable materials and are chlorine free. However, I am a fan of Aldi for it's great value (fresh croissants for 29p!!!!) and would by the nappies as back up supplies! I would definitely consider buying the wipes at 79p.

Q8 I would recommend the nappies and wipes to anyone on a budget. They are really good value.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Aldi nappies? Did they fit your baby/child? How did they feel?

My overall impression of these nappies were that they were good quality and felt soft. They fit great and never leaked which I think is very unusual. They did however have a chemical smell that I didn't like. I was all in all very impressed.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used? Did they do the job they were intended for? Any leaks?

No leaks! Wow! I usually by high end nappies and I found that the aldi nappies amazingly leaked less!!

Q3 What did you think of the nappy packaging? Was it easy or difficult to open? What about the information on the packaging?

The packaging was fine... didn't leave much of an impression on me but thats not a bad thing.

Q4 How did you find the wipes to use? Did you notice any difference between the normal and sensitive skin wipes? Did you find you had to use more, less or the same amount of wipes as you usually do?

The wipes were good but I hated the smell of the normal wipes!! They did their job nicely. Oh and one major problem was that the lid thing was very very hard to open with one hand.

Q5 Is there anything about the nappies, wipes or packaging that you think could be improved? If so, what?

The lid of the wipes definitely needs to be reconsidered.

Q6 We've included some info on how much Aldi nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why? And how about the wipes - do you think they're good value or not?

Amazing value for money... very very impressed.

Q7 Do you think you'll use the nappies again? What about the wipes? If so, why? If not, why not?

I might do although I get scared of putting the chemical gel close to my babies bum especially since they smelt chemically. There is no Aldi near me or I really might buy them regularly when cash was tight.

Q8 If it came up in conversation, do you think you'd recommend Aldi nappies to other parents of children or babies in nappies? If so, why? If not, why not? And would you recommend the wipes?

I would recommend the nappies but probably not the wipes.

CountryMama · 04/12/2011 16:26

Oh sorry... DS is 4 weeks (thus my late post!!) and we were using size 2.

verap · 04/12/2011 22:24

Q1 - They feel a bit papery and arent as stretchy as my usual nappies

Q2- Performed just as well as my usual nappies

Q3 - Easy to open, nice and colourful

Q4- Wipes smell nicely, not too wet and not too dry, didnt irritate my baby's skin

Q5 - Make nappies a bit softer and more stretchy in the waist

Q6 - Pricewise my usual nappies cost the same when on offer, I usually stock up, wipes are fairly priced

Q7 - I buy and use the nappies if I was near Aldi - there isnt Aldi close by.
I would recommend both nappies and wipes.

My daughter is 13 months old and I tried size 4/4+

Q1 What was your overall impression of Aldi nappies? Did they fit your baby/child? How did they feel?
I was a little worried that they might be too big with them being 4/4+, but they fitted perfectly

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used? Did they do the job they were intended for? Any leaks?
I usually use re-usable nappies and just use disposables for night times/when out and about, but usually use supermarket own brand and these ones compare very favourably. No leaks and contained everything!

Q3 What did you think of the nappy packaging? Was it easy or difficult to open? What about the information on the packaging?
Packaging is fine - easy to open and informative

Q4 How did you find the wipes to use? Did you notice any difference between the normal and sensitive skin wipes? Did you find you had to use more, less or the same amount of wipes as you usually do?
Very happy with both types of wipes - I usually only use sensitive wipes, but the normal ones caused no problems and were pleasantly scented. I liked the clip top (stops little hands from getting into them), they weren't too wet or too dry - really good!

Q5 Is there anything about the nappies, wipes or packaging that you think could be improved? If so, what?
I really liked the nappies themselves - grandparents sometimes have problems knowing which is the back and which is the front Xmas Grin but the pictures on these made this obvious. Don't think there are any improvements to make!

Q6 We've included some info on how much Aldi nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why? And how about the wipes - do you think they're good value or not?
Very good value for money on both the nappies and the wipes - certainly compare well to other supermarket brands

Q7 Do you think you'll use the nappies again? What about the wipes? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, if I'm shopping at Aldi I would definitely buy them again - I might even make a special trip

Q8 If it came up in conversation, do you think you'd recommend Aldi nappies to other parents of children or babies in nappies? If so, why? If not, why not? And would you recommend the wipes?
Yes I would definitely recommend both the nappies and the wipes - good value for money and do a very good job!

LovesBloominChristmas · 06/12/2011 23:33

Well done to grumpy, I'm feeling a little grump now Grin

LovesBloominChristmas · 01/01/2012 07:13

FYI I went and bought some nappies and wipes the other day and they have just axsticky lid rather than tge plastic one. I do prefer tge plastic flip kid if it could be made useable with one hand Smile

KrissieJules · 26/01/2012 04:04

I wasn't part of the feedback group but I use Aldi nappies(Mamia) and I think they're brilliant value for money! £4.99 for 56

They look big compared to Pampers size 3's but I've never had a problem with them ie. Leaking. They fit well and have a double lining around the legs to help keep leaks in.

I buy these unless I find a good offer on others
