We've been asked to find 50 Mumsnetters who would like to try Bio-Oil on their skin and then to add feedback to a thread on Mumsnet. The product could also be used on children (aged over 2 years)

For every story shared, Bio-Oil will donate £1 to the British Skin Foundation to help fund research into skin health". If you'd like to try Bio-Oil and your are selected you'll be sent a 60ml bottle of Bio-Oil, worth £8.99. In return, we'd like you to add your feedback on Mumsnet twice - once after a week or so with your first impressions and once after 4 to 6 weeks worth of use. Feedback will concentrate on appearance of your stretch marks or scar. Please note this is in no way a clinical trial and we are simply after 'real' feedback on the oil and any changes in the condition of skin noted by those using it.

In addition, Bio-Oil are also looking for 3 Mumsnetters to make a short film about their skin - examining their skin problems, showing changes and asking other people if they have noticed a difference. If you are happy to make a film please tick the box on the form. Please note the videos will be hosted on YouTube, shown possibly on Mumsnet, on the Bio-Oil Facebook page and possibly on the Bio-Oil website. We will compile the three films into one montage and names will not be used. You will be given instructions on how to make the film and what to record. Hauntypython - our posts will be very similar! Also have self harm scars I want to get rid of (stretchmarks not so much despite them extensive) and a DD with bad chicken pox scars but quite bad eczema.

Bad skin genes perhaps?

My self harm scars have healed well, but it still surprises me that they are so visible you know? I have dry skin, does this make a difference?

Hmmmm......... I don't know how much good one little bottle would do me!! I have lost 6 and a half stone and got saggy stretch marks a plenty. Do they do a 60000ml bottle?

I'm covered in stretch marks and have a severe facial scar as well.

Also dd has a recent scar on her forehead which is quite noticable.

I've eyed up bio-oil in the chemists lots of times but it's so expensive I've never been able to justify the price without being sure it would help. My SOL used it though and was really pleased with the results.

I had a missed package card today and I suspect that's what it was.

i recieved the oil in the post,
but have emails from mumsnet offers, and bookclub, and none about this, so i am unsure what i need to do....

nailak, the information on mine says to rub it into your skin twice a day and report back on a thread when asked. You only need to use a small amount, it goes a long way.
