We’re interviewing Alexander Armstrong - what should we ask him?

Hi all,

We’re sitting down with Alexander Armstrong next week, and we’d love your questions.

Actor, presenter and author, Alexander has been part of some of the UK’s most-loved programmes – from Armstrong and Miller and Have I Got News for You to Pointless, Hey Duggee, Horrible Histories, Doctor Who and Danger Mouse.

Growing up in the North East and now a father of four boys, Alexander is also a passionate storyteller. His debut children’s novel, Evenfall: The Golden Linnet, is inspired by his childhood and the mystical history of the ancient North.

Do you have a question you’ve always wanted to ask him? Post it below and we’ll put it to him on Wednesday 4 February.

I really enjoy listening to your programme on Classic FM. What is your favourite piece of classical music?

Is it true that he is the grandson of Louis Armstrong, famous jazz musician? Or that Neil Armstrong of Apollo 11 fame is his uncle?

No, these aren't true.

The Louis Armstrong one in particular is very obviously not true, if you think about it......

I can't believe you didn't mention his brother Lance!

My question - how is your celebrity children's book different from all the other celebs children's book?

@SummerhillsquareI’m from the NE know plenty of the private schools and went to a fab state school.

Mowden School, however, is let’s face it not aimed at the locals but for the privileged.

What made him go down the children's book route, rather than aiming at the potentially more lucrative adult market, like his chum Richard Osman?

Which of your roles do your kids think is the least impressive? bonus question: do the clebs on drunk history ACTUALLY get drunk? And wake up with actual hangovers?

I'd want to know how he feels about being a 'celeb author' and the stick that often comes with that? What's his response to the criticism that it's easier for celebrities to get book deals?
Also, does he have any writing tips for his Pointless subordinate Richard Osman?😉

Nothing that he’d want to hear, let alone answer. He sounds sleazy to me , sorry if he isn’t snd he’s a lovely guy. I hear him on classic fm snd his voice sounds put on.
