You magazine eco columnist and editor of a Slice of Organic Life, Sheherazade Goldsmith, will be joining us for an online chat to share her green tips on Wednesday June 18th from 1-2pm. Sheharazade is an eco mum with three children under ten. She's launching the Peter Rabbit Naturally Better initiative which sees the well-loved Beatrix Potter creation become the first ever licensed character to go green.

Created in 1893, the naughty little rabbit is the oldest licensed children's character in the world and this new initiative reflects the importance that Beatrix Potter placed on the natural world and the environment.

If you can't make it on Weds, you can post your questions in advance here. Otherwise, we'll see you with your organic salads (home grown of course ) on weds lunchtime.

Does she write for the Mail on Sunday? (Is You magazine the MoS?)

CatIsSleepy · 13/06/2008 15:32

'Is anyone genuinely interested in advice this woman wishes to dispense on how to live a better life?'
good question DarthVader

um, no not really

no offence sheherezade sheharazader Ms Goldsmith

YeahBut · 13/06/2008 15:36

Time for a rethink, MNHQ...

BeauLocks · 13/06/2008 15:37

Can you find anyone more patronising?

Doubt it.

Or anyone less interesting?

Probably not.

EffiePerine · 13/06/2008 15:40

Maybe this is a sly attempt by MNHQ to release our bile and inner tension?

zippitippitoes · 13/06/2008 15:43

Was the horticultural course you did full time? And was it worth the money?

Jobs in horticulture tend to be badly paid and it is still difficult to get employed as a woman what career advice would you give to someone who has studied horticulture?

DarrellRivers · 13/06/2008 15:45

I mean, I'm not a fan of Lord Darzi and his plans to hijack privatise primary care, but at least he has been appointed by someone and appears to have a teeny teeny modicum of knowledge in the area (is surgeon Vs being a GP) ie at least a medical degree
What precisely do you have to do to be an 'eco-mum'?

Libra1975 · 13/06/2008 15:49

MN I think for your guest after Mrs Goldsmith should be that ex-model married very wealthy man who has just produced a book on how to organise your life better.

(Can anyone remember the name of the person I am talking about, it's been in a lot of the magazines recently)

DarrellRivers · 13/06/2008 15:53

Lisa B?
I think this is just desserts after the bunting cupcake thread

Yes thank you DarrellRivers. (www.amazon.co.uk/Lisa-B-Lifestyle-Essentials/dp/1840468599/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=12 13369147&sr=1-1) if anyone else wants their blood pressure raised.

I have just checked the blurb about A Slice of Organic Life however and it does promise "growing salad on your window-sill" so it is obviously aimed at those of us who don't have 300 acre farms and staff to maintain it.

oh myabe it will have to be to repair the thread title and spell the guests name

EffiePerine · 13/06/2008 16:03

those of us with flats in an area infested with aggressive pigeons and squirrels would find even the window box a bit of a challenge

I would like to know what an eco-friendly Peter Rabbit is. Does it get shot and put in a pie?

I agree Cat. Sounds like an excuse for loads of spin off merchandise and character fromage frais.
