We’re chatting to Amanda Owen next week - yes, the Yorkshire Shepherdess herself. As well as throwing a few AIBU conundrums her way, we’ll be asking about her new children’s book, Christmas Tales from the Farm

Love hearing about life on the farm. What’s Christmas morning like for you and your family? Is it chaotic with animals and kids, or do you manage to find some calm?

Do your children help inspire your stories? (And are they honest critics when you read drafts to them?)

LOADS of us probably think you're living the dream... or maybe just me? 😅 I'd love to swap the city life for the quiet countryside but I don't doubt it has challenges.

What’s one thing you wish more people knew about the reality of rural living?

Hello! Love the look of the Christmas book. Wondering if your kids are big readers and how storytime works at the farm with so many ages/interests/bed times to manage?

How on earth do you carve out time for writing?😅Do you have a particular spot on the farm where you like to work, or do you just grab moments whenever you can?

Hi Amanda! Can I ask, if one of your children decided they didn’t want to stay on the farm and go and something totally different, how would you feel about that?

What aspect of farming have you enjoyed the most and what aspect is the hardest to deal with.?

As tenant farmers yourselves, do you think the government’s changes to Inheritance Tax for farms may actually hit family farming businesses and tenant farmers harder than the actual landowners it is aimed at? Do you fear for the future of your local farming community as a result?

How is Anty John’s coming on, do you know who’ll live there yet and when might we see you on TV again?

Hi Amanda, I love your show and think you are an inspiration. You obviously have a strong work ethic and manage to keep a lot of plates spinning! My question is what do you do to relax and switch off? I hope you get some time to yourself.
