Hello all,
Piers Morgan, former Editor of the Daily Mirror and News of the World, and now Executive Editor of First News, a weekly newspaper aimed at 9-12 year olds, is coming to Mumsnet for an online chat on Tuesday 10th October at 12.30pm. So make sure you make a note in your diary to log on and post a question. If you can't make the actual event do post your question in advance here. Whilst he can't promise to answer every one he'll do what he can (and we reckon he should be able to type quite fast being a journo and all that).
Best,
MNHQ

QueenPeaHead · 06/10/2006 13:30

right, I'm going to make it a mission to get mrsjc to use a peahead family moniker

bottomburp · 06/10/2006 23:10

Queen PH is it worth a bet?

CorpseBrideOfJohnCusack · 07/10/2006 00:02

I still say I'm going to win over this name business. Especially as his reasons against are just cack frankly.
if this is a boy - hmmm - think the name is pretty much decided actually and no idea if it's a QPH moniker or not. won't be going for the one Cod and QPH have in common as another family member already called that

I WILL WIN

CorpseBrideOfJohnCusack · 07/10/2006 00:04

oh and good luck to the QPH nag. I don't think that's too noncy actually but then I love horses

QueenPeaHead · 07/10/2006 00:48

I've just looked at the David Cammeron web-chat. Didn't know MN did these sorts of things. A question for MN HQ is - do the guests get warned about individuals first. Sorry to pick out Cod - but her typing style for example & some of the posters 'posting styles'?

CountessDracula · 09/10/2006 14:43

QPH what fun to have a racehorse

fairyjay · 09/10/2006 15:05

My question for Piers.

I've got a paparazzi style shot of you on a beach in Barbados. For 100K it's yours - if not, it might find it's way on to this website.

Topless, as well!

Overrun · 09/10/2006 15:10

Oh I really enjoyed his book, and felt he came across as quite honest.
Question:
Does he regret any of the times he was not there for his children due to his job, given that ultimately his career didn't go as planned.

gRowlers · 09/10/2006 15:17

Thanks for the warning.
I'm busy tomorrow... I think. Well I'm sure I can find something....

willow2 · 09/10/2006 17:44

Favourite Arsenal player of all time? Thoughts on Rosicky? Do you think the current pie and pint deal is a rip-off? New stadium - get that concrete painted white or leave as is?

YeahBat · 09/10/2006 17:58

Question - Should we be worried about the degree of influence that some newspaper owners have on government in the UK? (Thinking specifically of the lengths to which political parties will go to stay on the right side of Rupert Murdoch.)

Do you think you were "set-up" over the fake Iraq abuse photos?

I would like to ask him if he likes quinoa. Can you ask him if I am not here, please, MN?

caffeinequeen · 10/10/2006 08:35

Hi Piers,
Of all the people you've met and interviewed, who did you like the most? and the least?

lululemon · 10/10/2006 10:42

I thought his book sounded like it had been written by adrian mole - all pompous self-importance

Haven't seen the paper yet

  • but do children have the chance to write and edit it?
ginmummy · 10/10/2006 10:55

For a question I would like to know what kind of underpants he favours. Boxers, jockeys, slips, John Major Y-fronts, Peter Stringfellow thongs or let it all hang out and go commando?! You can tell a lot about a man by the pants he wears apparently!

TenaLady · 10/10/2006 10:55

Enid whats a ginger, London expression for Queer or Ginger hair?

southeastastralplain · 10/10/2006 10:57

what is going to make your online newspaper so different from the 'newsround' type programmes and are you going to cover sports (my ds13) would be interested in that.

WelshBorisKarloff · 10/10/2006 10:59

Why did you split up with your girlfriend when she was recovering from cancer?

TenaLady · 10/10/2006 11:00

Oh for heavens sake, I am so embarrassed by some of these posts. Its making us look like a load of morons. PARP
