Hello all,
Piers Morgan, former Editor of the Daily Mirror and News of the World, and now Executive Editor of First News, a weekly newspaper aimed at 9-12 year olds, is coming to Mumsnet for an online chat on Tuesday 10th October at 12.30pm. So make sure you make a note in your diary to log on and post a question. If you can't make the actual event do post your question in advance here. Whilst he can't promise to answer every one he'll do what he can (and we reckon he should be able to type quite fast being a journo and all that).
Best,
MNHQ

Ok here's my questions

Is there any story you regret printing when you were editor of the Mirror?
Is there any story which another paper got first thet you wish you had got?
Which ones?

Finally, why did you give print and paper space to that horrible Paul Burrel?

TutterIckOrTreat · 10/10/2006 11:08

Mirage · 10/10/2006 11:37

Oh pants.I have to be at work in a few minutes & as I won't have internet access.I really like PM,despite disliking the papers he worked on.He has charisma. Also, didn't he deck Clarkson?Deserves a medal for that alone.

Ask him if he needs a gardener?-my charges are very reasonable.

Dear Piers
Firstly, many thanks for the excellent First news. My children DD7.5 and DS 6.5 fight over who gets first read every Friday after school.

My question to you is - fruitshoots or smarties ?

ledodgywizardrobespierre · 10/10/2006 11:38

Welshboris wasn't that Matthew Wright that did that?

WelshBorisKarloff · 10/10/2006 11:39

soapbox · 10/10/2006 11:41

Dear Piers

Mumsnet has it's share of scandals and we had a biggie over the weekend, when it turned out two of our members were shagging, despite having their own spouses and children. It turns out that the 'lady' in question is now pregnant by her internet lover.

What would your advice for them be?

soapbox · 10/10/2006 11:42

Oops - that should be its (without the apostrophe)

WelshBorisKarloff · 10/10/2006 11:43

soapbox you cant ask him that

soapbox · 10/10/2006 11:45

Why not????

He's the king of sleeze - they'll get good advice for free!

Mercy · 10/10/2006 11:47

Not sure if anyone's asked this yet.

What makes a good father - and are you one?

(or something along those lines)

RTKangaMummy · 10/10/2006 11:48

Hi Piers

My daughter wants to shadow a football agent, who do you think would show her the ropes?

HuwEdwards · 10/10/2006 11:54

Hi Piers, what are your prime objectives (apart from making money) in producing a paper for 9-12 yr olds?
I've not seen the paper yet, what 'slant' are you going for? What kind of thing makes your front page headline?

RTKangaMummy · 10/10/2006 11:56

QUESTION FOR PIERS............

Do you want someone to do Television reviews or Alerts for First news?

My name is RadioTimesKangaMummy shortened to RTKangaMummy and I do alerts on Mumsnet for all the Telly Addicts

What is your favourite kind of Television programe?

Who is your favourite TV detective of all time? And why?

niceglasses · 10/10/2006 12:01

Dear Piers, I lust after Gordon Brown. Can you dish up on him please? What do you really think of him and how do you rate him as a leader/PM?

Spill the beans on Tony whilst your at it. Sorry if this is in your book, which have not read but have heard is fabby.

Cheers

zippitippitoes · 10/10/2006 12:04

Hi Piers

Do we really need more talent shows and are you amazed at Noel Edmonds reinvention of himself in his twilight years?

moaningpaper · 10/10/2006 12:13
