Thank you Paul.
Can you recommend someone in Scotland, please. I am in Highland Perthshire.

Hi Paul.
I have the ICMYT CD but i find the visualization bits hard to do, my mind seems to wander to other things not connected to the CD. Does this matter or is there any way to make visualising easier?

Some people do have trouble doing the visualisation, and often it's just a matter of practice .We can all visualise. I mean, think of what colour your front door, what side the handles, in order to think about that you have to visualises.

Keep using the CD and see how you get on.

Hi Paul

Can you give me some tips on how to fit everything in, working full time, having 2 children, having a gym membershop which I can never utilise!!!?

Help!

Thank you.

Helen.

sunshineleah · 12/01/2011 19:52

Hi Paul,

I am currently using your Instant COnfidence book / CD and (fingers crossed) am having some success with it :D

However, I have a problem with motivation - I am lacking in it! Do you think it will come with more confidence, or would something like Change Your Life... be more useful for that problem?

Also, can you use more than 1 system at the same time, or will your brain get confused?! Could I, for example, use Instant Confidence AND ICMYT at the same time and still get results? Or should they be staggered?

Thank you!!!

bloomingnora · 12/01/2011 19:52

Anyfulekno - it makes me feel like I have lost my chance Sad

insertexpletive · 12/01/2011 19:52

Hello and welcome to MN. Really pleased I managed to get back from work in time to catch you - will read through the thread now, but before I miss you I would really like to ask you about maintaining weight loss.

I have reacently lost three and a half stone and am very pleased with myself, but I know that I have done this through a diet, not a change in my mindset if you see what I mean. Would your seminar be suitable to get me to develop a postive relationship with food?

If so, could you pop my name in the hat for tickets please? I really would love to be able to maintain my loss and not fall back into the same old habits.
Thanks

I have just googled that confidence coach for children and I will tell you the reason why we have not gone for him, it was because he is based in Bath and only one session was offered which seemed to be a hot and miss situation to me. I felt it would not offer enough ongoing support. I will really appreciate it if we can have a name of another coach who is based in / or even around London who can offer confidence building work specifically aimed at younger children. Or even any books / tapes etc we can work on our own at home ? Any recommendations at all? Sorry for being persistent, this subject is so close to my heart. Thanks in advance.

PaulMcKenna · 12/01/2011 19:53

@solo

Ok, would you recommend anything for a 12yo grammar school boy that seems to be unable to keep friends? he's really confident and a nice boy, but lacks...something?

It's difficult for me to give an answer without knowing more. Maybe he should see one of the people I recommended (Kevin Laye, Tina Taylor Steve Crabb).

Oh, can i ask about 'I can make you happy!'
I was discussing with my friend the other day about having never ever felt satisfied with my life. I always want it to improve. Yet I know other people who are content in situations that I know I wouldn't be content with.
Are some people ie. me, just impossible to satisfy?

PaulMcKenna · 12/01/2011 19:53

@MardyBra

Sorry if this is a strange question, but I just wondered why you adopt a strange (almost transatlantic) accent for your CDs. I find it hard to get into a state of relaxation when I'm wondering about the state of your vowel sounds and why you replace "t"s with "d"s.

BTW I've got the "Make you thin" book/CD. The advice does make sense, but it hasn't worked yet mainly because a) I haven't applied it properly and
b) I'm too busy trying to get my head around your intonation and pronunciation.

It's not intentional, but I have lived in America for the last four years! Just imagine I'm an American, if that helps!

blinder · 12/01/2011 19:54

I lose weight while pregnant too. I just don't comfort eat when pregnant. The urge isn't there. Weird.

PaulMcKenna · 12/01/2011 19:54

@camperli

I read " I can make you Thin" and I felt much better about my self and my life. I was just happier after reading it. However, I also put ON weight.
I think I'm a pretty bog standard person and have about 1 1/2 stone to lose after babies. I even managed to have both babies at home with drug free, very blissful labours having done only one session of a hypnobirthing course, reading the book and listening to the CD regularly.
So do not understand why your program doesn't work for me.
Any suggestions?

The only thing I can suggest is that you probably weren't following the system properly. As far as I can tell, it's difficult to gain weight using my system. Come to the seminar, as my guest, and see if that helps you!

5inthebed · 12/01/2011 19:54

Thanks Paul, I will give that a try.

Deafworm · 12/01/2011 19:55

snap riven, will ask dds consultant, just so frustrating at missing days on the cd when she is up in the night or needs to be in our bed but i dont want to do damage/cause a seizure so i dont use it

NotOlive · 12/01/2011 19:55

Actually looking at that picture, she's stones thinner than me. All SHE needs is a bit of styling. Me, however...

HowToLookGoodGlaikit · 12/01/2011 19:55

Has your system worked (as far as you know) for anyone with a huge amount of weight to lose (say 10 stone plus)?

PaulMcKenna · 12/01/2011 19:55

@veritythebrave

I used to be seven and a half stone and really slim and active and ate really well, actually i didnt eat a lot at all, i had a lot of medical issues after giving birth and was very poorly and had 8 operations plus a hysterectomy and gained 4 and a half stone, i am mostly better now and work full time self employed and walk 10 miles a day but cant shift the weight, I have noticed that i am eating because i am stressed rather than when i am hungry.

I have tried not eating the junk and just eating meals but I get to lunch time and give in and eat more of the junk then I would have

how do i change my mind set back to the person i was food wise!

Please give my system a go! I think it could really help you.
