Paul McKenna is joining us for a live webchat on Wednesday evening between 7 and 8pm. Paul will be chatting about his latest book, I Can Make you Happy which claims it can make you feel happier than you had ever imagined.

Paul will also be happy to answer questions on his 'I can Make you Thin' programme which he says has helped 71% of people who have tried it successfully lose weight and keep it off. He will be taking over the Hammersmith Apollo on Saturday 19th February to host his first Live Weight Loss Seminar.

Paul is Britain's best selling non-fiction author and is published in 30 languages as well as hosting television shows and seminars in hypnosis, Neuro Linguistic Programming and motivation.

Join us on Wednesday evening to chat to Paul, or send in your questions in advance to this thread and he'll attempt to answer as many questions as possible over the hour.

Can I be entered for the free ticket draw too pls. I've lost weight with this twice but sadly put it back on again.

AnyFuleKno · 12/01/2011 19:58

Thanks Paul. You'll notice more and more how happy you're feeling with how this webchat went Grin

whomovedmychocolate · 12/01/2011 19:58

Yes thank you so much. Most of us feel like we know you because we see/hear you so much but it's very special to interact directly (albeit by screen) :)

Thanks MNHQ as well for setting it up.

@hootsboots69

Are you planning to do any more NLP training in the UK?

I can listen to Richard Bandler, but will admit to not being comfortable with his swearing during an introductory evening - it wasn't necessary and detracted from what he was saying.

Certainly couldn't listen to it for a whole week - I have friends who enjoyed doing NLP with you, so would be interested in your plans for the future.

I have no plans to do any training. Richard's style isn't for everyone, although I believe Richard to be a great psychological genius of our time. Maybe you should try somebody who isn't as good, but uses nicer language.

And no-one has been rude! Is this a first? (well apart from the sex post ...)

franke · 12/01/2011 20:00

Have you ever undergone hypnosis yourself?

Deafworm · 12/01/2011 20:00

and he answered about the biscuits, success all round :O

whomovedmychocolate · 12/01/2011 20:01

I think it is a first BIWI. Although I did get the biscuit question in so we are still up to quota Wink

MirandaGoshawk · 12/01/2011 20:01

Thanks Paul. Great to 'meet' you. Smile

@MyOneAndOnly

I have just googled that confidence coach for children and I will tell you the reason why we have not gone for him, it was because he is based in Bath and only one session was offered which seemed to be a hot and miss situation to me. I felt it would not offer enough ongoing support. I will really appreciate it if we can have a name of another coach who is based in / or even around London who can offer confidence building work specifically aimed at younger children. Or even any books / tapes etc we can work on our own at home ? Any recommendations at all? Sorry for being persistent, this subject is so close to my heart. Thanks in advance.

Sounds like you're talking about someone else, I was recommending John Arroyo for bulimia and anorexia, if I had it that's who I'd go and see.

PaulMcKenna · 12/01/2011 20:02

@jacqueroo

Hello Paul
did you achieve any formal qualifications in hypnosis - if so what were they and do you have any recommendations in this area for someone entering the field of hypnosis.

There are no formal qualifications in hypnosis that I know of. Many people have made their own qualifications up. Whether someone has letters after their name or not won't necessarily tell you if they're a good hypnotherapist. If you want to train I would recommend you train with Richard Bandler I believe he is the best in the world.

solo · 12/01/2011 20:02

Yes, thank you very much Paul, really informative web chat :)

franke · 12/01/2011 20:02

Oh and can MNHQ put my name in the hat for tickets please?

wannabefree · 12/01/2011 20:03

What's this prize draw? I'd love to go to one of Paul's seminars!

NotOlive · 12/01/2011 20:03

Yes, many thanks for your time. Smile

AmpleBosom · 12/01/2011 20:04

THanks for answering and i'd love to come to your seminar although i'm a bit scared that you don't want to speculate Grin

PaulMcKenna · 12/01/2011 20:05

Thank you for so many interesting questions, it's been a real pleasure talking to you this evening. I'm sorry if I didn't get to answer questions, but I hope you're able to get the answers you want.

Much love, God bless and good night!

(P.s. Franke, I regularly use my own CDs to hypnotise myself, and who people who I think are good.)

Sarah Tonin who worked with Steve Crabbe or Tina Taylor would be good folks to try. Good luck

If I post twice can my name go in the hat twice? Grin
