I want to meet all of you too! I've met a few MN's before and they've been lovely! :)

nevergoogledragonbutter · 13/01/2011 20:42

Deafworm · 13/01/2011 21:06

nevergoogledragonbutter · 13/01/2011 21:09

i don't know who i'm taking yet. difficult to bring it up without offending Smile, i might come with my brother. DH is already thin.

whomovedmychocolate · 13/01/2011 21:17

I think it might be a very female focused event. You'll be able to smell the oestrogen at ten paces deafworm Wink

whomovedmychocolate · 13/01/2011 21:18

Can I just ask how much everyone has to lose. I want to lose about two and a half stone.

HowToLookGoodGlaikit · 13/01/2011 21:23

Do you guys want to join us on the support thread, so we can maybe get to know each other before the day?

AnyFuleKno · 13/01/2011 21:27

Oh my flip...I have won two tickets! I never win anything!

Would anyone like to go as my plus one? I can't think who I would ask IRL without offending anyone!

ktwiltshire · 13/01/2011 21:28

thered be no point taking my DH, he's skinny and finds it difficult to gain weight, even after recently going on steroids (still on them) hes lost weight....its just not fair sometimes!!

Bristol might help..what time would we need to get on a train to reach london in time, say like 9/9.30? enough time to pick up tickets etc

Deafworm · 13/01/2011 21:29

i thought that may be the case wmmc! i have around 6 stone to lose, i started on new years day with 6st13lb target loss and my 1st weigh in is saturday, hoping its a less now

HowToLookGoodGlaikit · 13/01/2011 21:33

I have a lot to lose :( not going to disclose just how much though! Blush

Rindercella · 13/01/2011 21:33

Whomoved! Shock I absolutely know it's about how you feel about yourself and all that blah, blah, blah. But there is no way on this earth that you need to lose 2.5 stone Shock

I would like to lose 1.5 stone. 1 stone will take me back to last summer (when events forced me into starvation to lose the baby weight) plus an extra half a stone to make me feel really good about myself.

Once upon a time I used to be considered to be too skinny. And then, in my 20s, I had an 'Elle McPherson' (according to friends) figure. Hitting my 30s (and now 40s Shock), giving up smoking, having babies, have all share the blame to my current blobby state. I hate it and want to get back to a svelte 10/12 and not the 14/16 I currently am. Actually, if I am honest, then I would like to really lose 2 stone. That'd be excellent. I remember one of the ICMYT tips was to imagine yourself walking along a beach looking how you'd like to look. 2 stone would get me to that place Smile

Deafworm · 13/01/2011 21:34

mine too kt

fatpantsandgladrags · 13/01/2011 21:37

I need to lose at least 5 stone Sad I've been big all my life...was a size 16 for years until DC1 was born 3 years ago, and now I'm a 20.

DH has suggested I ask our neighbour to go with me. Can you imagine how that conversation would go? "Hi neighbour, I've got a spare ticket to ICMYT and you look like you could do with some help you fat biffer"

Good point about the name change solo!

Rindercella · 13/01/2011 21:37

Oh God, I have probably put my foot in it now, sorry. Buy Whomoved is really quite tiny (in height) and is really quite petite. I just cannot imagine where she'd find 2.5 stone to lose. Whereas I am a great big 5'10" hulking sort of person where it is not hard to imagine (or see) where the blub needs to be removed from tummy hips upper arms legs chin

Rindercella · 13/01/2011 21:42

Whomoved that was meant to be a compliment. You're bloody lovely. I understand totally if you'd like to rescind your offer Blush Grin

Does anyone know if Paul McKenna does a 'I Can Make You Drink Less Sauvignon Blanc' seminar?

bloomingnora · 13/01/2011 21:43

KT - just looked and train takes hour and a half to paddington. I have no idea where that is in relation to Hammersmith Apollo! It's a tenner each way. Probably not much help sorry!

whomovedmychocolate · 13/01/2011 21:45

No honestly - I'm 11 stone Rinders. I know I'm quite physically strong and muscles weigh a lot more than fat, but honestly, really really do need to lose that much. I will then be a size 8 and can go back to shopping in the children's department because yes, I am a short arse Grin

And not offended, flattered btw!

But you are not particularly big and because you are tall you carry it off in a statuesque rather than a lardy way Wink

whomovedmychocolate · 13/01/2011 21:45

Am PMSL at your thought that I would be offended though Grin

whomovedmychocolate · 13/01/2011 21:48

fatpantsandgladrags - may I make a suggestion - and to anyone else who can't find anyone else to go - MNHQ will have a list of those who entered who didn't get a ticket - perhaps they could do a second draw for any spares for one ticket? :)

solo · 13/01/2011 21:51

I've been 'dieting' (smaller portions) for 2 months and lost 10lbs. I want to lose at least another 2st.

I used to be 9st 9lbs and size 8-10. I was that weight at 20 when I married. I was the same at 30 when I remarried and at 40, I was 12st and size 12 (muscle tone was good), quite happy and had 1 Dc. I was 11st 7lbs at 41 weeks pg with Dd (2nd baby) and quite happy with that, but crappy events that started at the end of 2008 made me so unhappy that I took to food. I went up to 15st 1lb and size 18 :( I spent last summer in jeans and felt terrible about myself. I always wore a heavy cotton knitted jacket to hide my backside :( (sad when I was once told I had a J Lo bum back when I was 35)
I would like to be a size 14, though a 12 would be better...but realistically, I'm almost 47 and don't wish to look like an elderly stick with skin, so a 14 would be great.
I'm gonna bring a picture of me when I was looking fab. Anyone want to join me?

Deafworm · 13/01/2011 21:52

paddington to hammersmith is about half an hour on the tube, my train comes in there too

BecauseImWorthIt · 13/01/2011 21:52

Rindercella Grin I'm not going to an "I Can Make You Drink less Sauvignon Blanc" seminar!

Sorry I won't meet you - or any of you.

I'll think about you all when I'm making lovely creme patisserie, or some such fattening wonder

Rindercella · 13/01/2011 21:55

Whomoved and BIWI Grin
