We are thrilled to announce that comedian, writer and actor Dawn French will be joining us here at the Towers on Wednesday 3 November, from 7.30pm to 8.30pm for a live webchat.
Dawn has appeared in some of the country's most long-running, fave shows including French and Saunders, The Comic Strip Presents?, Vicar of Dibley and most recently, Roger and Val Have Just Got In.
On top of her screen achievements, Dawn's memoir, Dear Fatty, topped the best-selling charts and now her first novel, A Tiny Bit Marvellous, is out and it's more than a tiny bit marvellous that she's joining us for a webchat. Hope you can too, but if you're unable to make it on Wednesday, post your questions here.

She called me Darling. That's it. The rest of you are toast. I'm her favourite.

@LeQueen

Evening Dawn

I'd like to ask of what are you most proud?

[We'll take your ability to maintain a professional demeanor and not eat Richard Armitage alive on the set of Dibley as a given...So you'll need to think up something equally impressive]

Mwah.

Sorry to be dull, but am def most of proud of daughter who is mad and dangerous but utterly loveable.

Second thing I'm most proud of is chest.

Hello Dawn - another huge fan - and enjoying the webchat.

You are the sleb I most resemble. I even have glossy hair on a good day. Will you play me when they make a film of my life?

ShowOfHandsInEpistolaryForm · 03/11/2010 20:09

They do taste off don't they? The taste a lot like somebody had an idea for a food stuff, didn't really think it through properly, left it on a shelf for a while and some idiot marketed it as a treat.

@Reggiee

Hi Dawn

I really need a big belly laugh this evening. Probably already been asked, but please can you tell me your favourite funniest joke.

Ok here goes.... It's in extremely poor taste so forgive:

Old MacDonald had Tourettes- ei, ei, cock

Charliepw · 03/11/2010 20:11

Dawn French
I personally hold you responsible (and that good for nothing sidekick) for not picking me to be in one of the Comic Strip episodes.
You came to my school and picked a pretty blond to play a receptionist or something like that.
I could of been your best friend by now, or even a sleb or better still your lovely sleb best friend.

Seriously though you and Saunders are up there with the gods for me.

Can I bring my girls over for tea to fill up your empty home?

Charlie
X

Jenski · 03/11/2010 20:11

Hi Dawn
Am I right in thinking you are from Plymouth? If so, do you think the place has anything going for it? Hmm

x

BangingNoise · 03/11/2010 20:11

Dawn, I've just seen a magazine in the supermarket that says you are back with your ex. Is that not Lenny then?

MmeLindt · 03/11/2010 20:12

Just wanted to note that the new book is available as a Kindle edition and I have downloaded it.

TaudrieTattoo · 03/11/2010 20:12

Yes, SoH.

A biscuit should never be bendy.

And you should not be able to see through the 'chocolate'.
