A plate has fallen down the back of the loo - how can I get it out?

And not just any plate - this is a plate painted by ME for dd's hair bands! I did it when she was painting a mug for dh- the man was so impressed he put it in the window. [preen]

It's annoying.

Now the cistern of the loo is built into a tongue and groove type wall affair, and can only be accessed from the top. The plate has fallen down, below the cistern, onto the floor below.

I can't reach it, nobody can reach it.

Any ideas?

RustyDaviesBear · 29/10/2008 18:47

It all started with that vigil/fridge'll rhyme & kind of grew from there.....

wabbit · 29/10/2008 18:55

Awesome RustyDaviesBear

RustyBear · 29/10/2008 19:03

I forgot I still had the Davies bit in my name - I was wondering why MatNan called me RustyDB....

I hope ahundredtimes has found a safer place for the plate by now.

covertmission · 29/10/2008 19:10

Bloody fantastic Rusty.

hurrah for the classic booble platter

Milliways · 29/10/2008 19:14

Aw, just logged in to see what happened to plate - & photo not there anymore

Awesome poem Rusty!

(BTW,Rusty - did you ever attend a Hogwarts Soiree??)

RustyBear · 29/10/2008 19:18

No - we never did many 'social' events - a County House bbq in Y7 where we nearly froze to death kind of put us off.

Milliways · 29/10/2008 19:19

The cost puts me off! and the fact it all seems so posh...

Anyway, a friend has invited us out for a curry on same night - no contest really

pamplemousse · 29/10/2008 20:22

Thats fab Rusty, well rhymed

ChubbyDick · 30/10/2008 20:39

Rusty, that was GENIUS!

RustyBear · 30/10/2008 20:48

I'm getting a little worried now - ahundredtimes hasn't been back on MN at all since Tuesday night. Do you think she is suffering from post-traumatic stress?
Or maybe the plate was damaged after all & she can't bring herself to tell us.....

KerryMmmmkay · 30/10/2008 20:51
